Living Funchal Executive

This place was perfect for us in every way. It is in the city centre, close to the main streets with restaurants and buses (and to the Plaza Madeira shopping centre, the Tourist Information Office, two parks, the Marina... ) yet it was so quiet ! The building is located in a small lane with no car traffic and has good windows + we had an apartment on the 4th floor facing the inner courtyard. We never heard any other guests as the building is excellently designed and sound‑insulated. The rooms were airy and bright, tastefully furnished. All equipment new and high‑quality. The beds were very comfortable, everything clean. And the host was so nice - from the first welcome e-mail to the farewell ! When the bathroom lock jammed on our very first day, she solved the problem promptly while we were out on a trip. If we visit Funchal again, we won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Posizione centrale per visitare facilmente a piedi ogni punto della città e il lungomare. Monolocale moderno e confortevole, dotato di tutto per un soggiorno breve. Pulizia accurata.

L'isolamento della doccia era un po' difettoso e la guarnizione del vetro non tratteneva bene l'acqua. Non siamo riusciti ad accendere la TV ed a connetterci al Wi-Fi.

Pulizia non molto attenta, soprattutto i pavimenti e il bagno (doccia). La porta del bagno non si chiudeva. Lavello del bagno fondamentalmente intasato, l'acqua scendeva mooolto lentamente.

Struttura in posizione centrale, ma molto tranquilla, con comodo parcheggio nelle vicinanze, da pagare separatamente. La camera è accessoriata di tutto il necessario per poter cucinare, e c'è anche la lavatrice, nel caso di lunghi soggiorni. Le istruzioni per l accesso alla camera e al parcheggio, sono state chiare.

L’appartamento è grande, arioso, fresco e silenzioso. I letti sono comodi. La posizione è ottima. Parcheggio a pagamento comodo e facile. Ci sono tanti ristoranti e un centro commerciale a due passi dall’appartamento.

This accommodation does not match the photos on Booking. The studio is extremely small. Once the sofa bed is opened, there is almost no space left to move around. The value for money is very poor. The biggest issue is the photos on the Booking listing. The owners mix pictures of apartments that are very different in size, while mainly showcasing the largest ones! The apartment we actually received was represented by only one photo showing a small corner of the room, making it impossible to realize how tiny it really is. We genuinely expected one of the larger apartments shown in the listing. We felt misled. The condition of the studio was also very concerning. The entrance door handle was loose and comes off easily, which raised serious safety concerns. The bedside lamp is broken and appears unsafe from an electrical point of view. When we told the owner, he already knew about this 2 concerns !

Great location, lovely modern apartment with air conditioning and wifi. Host was very helpful and arranged airport transfer for us at 4am without difficulty. Highly recommend!

A lakás tiszta, tágas, csendes, kényelmes, jó elrendezésű, minden szükséges felszereléssel felszerelt, fantasztikus elhelyezkedéssel.

Szúnyogirtóval érdemes készülni, mert amikor az első délután kinyitottuk az ablakot, tele lett a szoba szúnyoggal. (De ez nem igazi negatívum, inkább csak egy tipp. :) )

Logement propre, agréable, et fonctionnel. Très bonne communication avec le personnel qui se montre très disponible. Nous avons apprécié la facilité pour louer une voiture et réserver une place de parking. Nous avons pu découvrir l’île de Madère comme il se doit, merci pour tout !

Super location, big and clean apartement with all the stuf you need to preper a small meal. Nice restaurants 10m outside the door.

Really beautiful apartments. Everything was spottlessly clean, new and stylish. Also the apartments have an excellent location - in the heart of the old city where you can see everything just on foot. Another thing I have to mention is the great communication with the owners and the lovely breakfast:). Thank you so much and we'll be staying with you again when we fly back to Funchal. Good location really convenient to everything in Funchal.

Due to the location you can get some ambient noise.

Centrally located, yet rather quiet at night thanks to the windows facing an inner courtyard. Plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a shopping mall for groceries if needed. Room was spacious, modern (a bit worn furniture), clean and well equipped. We especially loved the comfortable bed. Easy self check-in process. Communication went smooth, the host was responsive and supportive whenever we needed assistance. Breakfast was delivered in a box. It was delicious and plentiful, although after a week it can become a bit repetitive :).

The private bathroom wasn't quite as private as one might expect: 1. There was no curtain/blind on the bathroom window, even though an identical window in the kitchen area had one. 2. The sliding bathroom door wouldn't close properly, leaving a gap wide enough to put your finger through (see attached photos). As a result, sounds and smells travelled freely into the living area. We reported the issue on the 2nd day of our stay and were told the maintenance team would be sent. Unfortunately nothing was done before we checked out on day 7. I also noticed in the previous reviews that this issue had already been reported at least 2 years ago, so this doesn't seem to be a new problem. This should really be addressed. The breakfast delivery times were inconsistent. We were given two delivery windows (8-9am and 9-10am), but our breakfast always arrived at the very end of the interval, on two occasions it was even delivered after (up to 30min late) and we had to ask the host to check on the status with the supplier. It wasn't a major issue, but we wanted to make the most of our days and this wasn't helping. On a few mornings the breakfast box was also missing items that were supposed to be included such as the orange juice, coffee or butter.

Location was perfect. Accessible to everything. Host Rita was also fantastic and was always accessible. Apartment was clean and equipped with all amenities required. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Erano inclusi perfino i detersivi e tutto quanto occorre. Abbiamo usufruito anche del comodo parcheggio adiacente alla struttura, disponibile su richiesta. Posizione: Strategica e comodissima: appartamento vicinissimo a tutti i servizi. Nelle vicinanze potete trovare ristoranti, centri commerciali e negozi. Host: Cosa da non sottovalutare, Rita è stata un host fantastico: sempre disponibile in qualunque momento a dare supporto e fornire informazioni utili, dall'accoglienza fino alla fine del soggiorno. Professionalità, disponibilità, gentilezza e cortesia impareggiabili. Ci ha aiutato a trovare un parcheggio per la macchina adiacente alla struttura e fornito consigli utili in tempi brevissimi. Alojamento espaçoso, bem organizado, limpo e extremamente bem localizado. A comunicação com a anfitriã foi bastante fácil e acessível, o que facilitou todo o processo no geral.

Excellent location, fully equipped apartment, spacious, very clean and excellent host who assisted and responded immediately to any questions we had. Hindsight we would have loved to stay longer and highly recommend this apartment to couples.

It was a very welcome surprise to us that really everything one could imagine was there in the apartment. The double glass windows dimmed potential noise levels from the city live, so no complaints at all!

The room was really nice and clean! Nice decorations, room had everything we needed. Location is amazing, close to the city center, very walkable. Easy check in and responsive hosts.

The room was modern and pretty well equipped. The bed was big and comfy. The bathroom was also exceptional, with a big mirror and a good shower head. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked like it could handle everything we wanted.

I locked myself out and host helped out in less than 1 hour which was great thank you! Close to Azul diving so definitely stay here and try the pizza across the street.

Everything was great, they even had laundry pods to use.

Sehr zentrale und trotzdem ruhig Lage, grosszügige Räumlichkeiten.

Ausstattung der Küche war nicht optimal, Besteck unkomplett, z.B. nur 1 Kaffeelöffel, kein Schneidebrett, kein Handtuch, nur ein Geschirrtuch. Esstisch zwar gross, aber genügt einem gepflegten Einrichtung nicht (Folie löst sich ab). Badezimmer schlecht zu schliessen. Haartrockner für kurze Haare nicht benutzbar. keine Zufahrt zum Haus möglich (in Strasse mit Fahrverbot).

Logement idéalement situé, proche du centre mais dans une petite rue très calme. 3 restaurants juste en bas, et un centre commercial avec de quoi faire des courses juste à côté. La location du parking est quasiment une obligation si on a une voiture (ce qui est conseillé). Très bonne literie, appartement propre. Arrivée en toute autonomie. Même si on n'a pas vu les prioritaires, ils étaient joignables et réactifs. WiFi, TV avec Netflix. Pour améliorer encore, il faudrait ajouter quelques équipements. Pour la cuisine : de quoi égoutter pâtes/ légumes, accroche torchon, poêle. Dans l’entree : patères pour accrocher les vêtements.

Ich kann dieses Apartment leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Der Parkplatz kostet entgegen der Anzeige 15 € extra und der Ablauf ist ein Horror: Erst irgendwo parken, Schlüssel für die Garage aus der Box holen, umparken etc. Da es keinen persönlichen Ansprechpartner vor Ort gibt (Self-Check-in), ist das extrem umständlich. ​Zudem war es nicht sauber genug – besonders in der Küche. Das Apartment wird sichtlich vernachlässigt und nur lieblos für den nächsten Gast vorbereitet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier einfach nicht.

Erg ruime appartement met alle faciliteiten voor een comfortabel verblijf in Funchal.

Nonostante il self check-in, Rita era sempre disponibile per ogni necessita. La casa è nuova, curata e pulita. I letti sono comodissimi.

Brak deklarowanego zestawu kosmetyków :( brak zmywarki, brak herbaty, brak otwieracza do wina, w łazience brak rolety w oknie.

Great location, facilities were very clean, smart TV was nice, very quiet and felt secure.

Bed was rock hard and pillows too. We ran out of hot water after one person showered. Make sure to bring your own toiletries as not much provided. No dishwashing soap provided to wash dishes.

Mooie locatie midden in het centrum. Fijn dat je op loopafstand kunt parkeren in een garage (wel tegen betaling €15 per nacht). Alles was aanwezig en het was heel erg schoon.

Achei o sistema de identificação das chaves dos apartamentos um pouco confusa. Após ter sido contatada com a informação de que os apartamentos estavam prontos, uma das chaves não estava no cofre.

Gostámos de tudo. O Apartamento era muito central e muito agradável. Encontrava-se muito bem decorado com muito bom gosto. Muito limpo e com tudo o que é necessário para uma boa estadia. Também disponibilizaram café, chá e todos os produtos de limpeza e consumiveis máquina lavar loiça o que é muito bom. Os quartos eram espaçosos e dormimos muito bem. Ideal para familias de 4 pessoas. A sala de Estar também era muito boa e bonita.

O único senão foi o ruído das Obras em frente que começou logo às 8h da manhã. De resto foi tudo excelente.
