Goede ligging op half uurtje lopen van bezienswaardigheden zoals tempel en meer. Fijn zwembad en dat voor die prijs. Kamers basic maar net airco of ventilator goed geslapen.

Žádný odkládací prostor, základní snídaně, ze není cooking class jsme se dozvěděli až když jsme čekali na miste a mela začít každou chvíli. Místo toho jsme dostali rice and curry. Byli jsme 2 noci, 1.den jsme přijeli v 19:30 a bylo nám řečeno, že cooking class bude zítra, s večeři jsme počítali a 1.večer nedostali. Pokoj jsme měli hned vedle recepce a i když jsme byli jediní hosté, slyšeli jsme z recepce úplně vše.

Etablissement défraîchi, photos sur booking qui ne correspondent pas à la réalité. Un accueil plus que minimaliste. Aucun cours de cuisine ni aucun dîner ne nous a été proposé et, à vrai dire, nous n'avons pas chercher à en avoir ici ...

The staff was really helpful to arrange the Tuk Tuk while check out. Good WiFi.

1. Cleanliness wasn’t that good. 2. When it rains, you hear the sound inside the room and it kind of disturbs. 3. The staff wasn’t cooperative initially when attempted to contact around 7.30pm when asked for the clarification of the location of the hostel. Attempted to call the property contact number for over 5 to 6 times, the call wasn’t answered. 4. After reaching the property, attempted for the calling bell for over 5 times and it took after 10 minutes for the person to open the door. That was frustrating.

Nous avons été surpris de découvrir un lieu quelque peu différent des photos de promotion sur booking..disons qu'elles semblent illustrer une autre époque plus glorieuse. Certaines options annoncées sont inexistantes comme la cooking class, seche cheveux, bouilloire.

The cooking show (we did not really cook by ourselves) was nice and the food was good.

Facilities were outdated and felt like they did not take care of it. Bathrooms were not clean and it was wet in the room due to rain (do not put your belongings on the floor).

Ich fand das 2 Bettzimmer gruselig. Es roch nach Schimmel, es war total ungemütlich, aus dem Fenster konnte man nicht rausschauen. Der Pool sieht überhaupt nicht so aus, wie auf den Bildern. Es gab gar kein Grün und auch keine einzige Liege. Schlechter ging es nicht.

Basique mais tout était conforme aux attentes. Piscine agréable déjeuner et souper inclus très apprécié. Terrasse agréable sur le toit. L'expérience de cuisine un beau petit plus.

Un peu vétuste. Aurait besoin d'un peu d'entretien. La piscine mériterait quelques chaises longues pour être optimale.

Het zwembad was lekker verfrissend na een dag in de tuktuk. Het eten werd voor onze ogen bereid en dat was leuk om te zien, het smaakte voortreffelijk! Ontbijt was prima. Voor een hostel was het een goed verblijf!

Really quiet in the night but in a walkable distance to the town , free tea or coffee with food in the morning , owner and staff super kind

You can walk to the city center area. The manager was really helpful and arranged a cab for me. He also guided. The cooking class was very nice. There is a pool as well, but I didn’t have time to use it. He did arrange for an iron that I wanted.

I was in the female dorm and the AC didn’t really work that well. There was cockroaches and lizards in the room. The room isn’t spacious enough for six bunkbeds. There was only three of us in the room so it was OK but if it was full, then they wouldn’t be enough space for luggage one of the bathrooms didn’t work. bathroom is a little small so the water from the shower can wet the floor easily, but the clothes can be hung and they don’t get wet. Needs a deep clean.

Llegué al sitio, no había nadie en recepción; había otro huésped esperando hacía media hora y me dijo que había telefoneado y que ya venían; pero 40 minutos más tarde nadie llegó; entonces cancelé y me fui a otra parte.

L’emplacement au calme, en restant dans le centre. Le patron a été d’une extrême gentillesse et attentionné, j’ai été malade durant mon séjour chez eux, celui-ci m’as servis un remède maison pour me remettre de la grippe. Excellente nourriture et excellent rapport qualité prix ! Je recommande si vous êtes de passage a kandy !

It was good value for money.

The place is a little difficult to find. There are no sign boards on the road guiding to where the hostel is. The person at the reception will hesitate before even helping you with the luggage. The room was okay ish but needs to be maintained better

I can't imagine finding another hostel anywhere in the world at this price that includes so much. Breakfast was great, and the vegetarian dinner was absolutely delicious with authentic local flavors. Guests can also join a free cooking experience, and the staff are incredibly kind, explaining everything with care and enthusiasm. The hostel even has a swimming pool, and the rooms come with AC. Can you imagine that at this price? The location is also wonderful, with about a 45-minute scenic walk along the lakeside to the Tooth Relic Temple. A fantastic place to stay in Kandy, and I would definitely recommend it.

J’y ai pris une chambre privée donc je ne sais pas pour les chambres partagées mais l’hôtel est propre et confortable, pas très loin du centre ville 20 minutes à pied seulement, le gérant et le personnel sont très agréables, l’endroit est assez calme avec vue sur la piscine et la nature c’est reposant. Le petit déjeuner est un peu léger mais le dîner malgré qu’il soit végétarien cale et la nourriture est très bonne. Pour le prix l’hostel est impeccable, rapport qualité prix imbattable

Loved the cooking class. Host got up extra early to make our breakfast which was very appreciated. Nice to jump in the pool to cool off.

Bathrooms need a good clean. Our room smelt musty, I think the aircon filter needs cleaning.

The cooking class was super nice and the fact that dinner was included made it very cheap. They hosts were also very friendly and helpful.

The area around the pool is not that nice, but the pool it self is good.

早餐晚餐都有 而且很健康营养 第一次吃香蕉花 很有意思。老板的烹饪课很长很仔细 材料也都很干净卫生。员工们也都超贴心！！每天菜都不一样。晚上去湖边散步也不远。性价比没得。迫不及待给好评了！！斯里兰卡真的是很有人情味的国家！！超级好

Desayuno muy rico, tostadas con manteca, dulce y huevo. Cena también rica. Linda pileta, personal amable, buen Wifi y buena ubicación.

The pool was super lovely The free brekky and dinner was amazing and all included £5 a night ! You can’t go wrong Little further away but makes it quiet which is nice especially with how busy Kandy is

Friendly, very kind and helpful staff are the highlight of this lovely hostel. Included breakfast (fried egg, 2 toast, coffee/tea) and family style dinner (typical Sri Lankan veggie curries, rice etc to serve yourself) ensure you meet your fellow guests which is great. Female dorm was clean and comfortable, and the 2 shared bathrooms on the same floor were enough for the guests staying there. Electric showers meant hot/warm water which is a nice change for Sri Lanka. 2 of the dorms have access to a shared balcony which is good for drying swimwear etc - important as this hostel has a small pool!

I knew when booking that the location is quite far from the centre of Kandy, but booked it anyway and thought the distance was worth it to stay in such a good hostel. A tuktuk from the centre is 250r (on Uber) to a max of 500r (IRL), the hostel even sent a message before arrival warning not to get scammed to tuk tuk duvers charging more. It's a nice walk of you don't have bags, and also on a bus route so it's easy & cheap (~30r) to take the bus into the centre... so although the location may be a negative for some, it wasn't for me. Worth noting that not all beds in my dorm had a socket & light, though mine did. It would be nice if there was a filter for drinking water but they do sell bottled water if you need it.

Good location, only short walk from the lake. Free breakfast and dinner that is delicious. You also get the option to partake in the dinner cooking class, a great way to learn about Sri Lankan culture and meet other travellers. The swimming pool is well maintained and a nice escape from the heat. There’s a wonderful dog and two kittens to keep you company as well. The rooms have AC and beds are comfortable. One of the best places I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka and my go to whenever I’m in Kandy.

This gets a 10/10 not for the luxury of the place, it's a hostel, but because of the people and the price. Where can you get breakfast, dinner, and a perfectly comfortable bed and private shower with hot water, free cooking class, and a great pool for this sort of money. They also arranged everything for us, we had a tuk tuk and driver for 2 days, at a super price with a fantastic guide without all the hassle of bartering. The whole family that ran this place were just superb.

What's not to like

The hostel is very nice and cozy. The owner and the staff are extremely kind and welcoming. The dinner is good and creates a very friendly and warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, when I stayed there the hostel was not very busy, so I couldn’t fully experience how social it can be, although it definitely seems like a very social place. The few people who were there were very friendly and easy to talk to. They also have two kittens and a dog who are very sweet, friendly, and well taken care of. This is definitely a big plus!

L'emplacement est top, 20min a pied du temple, du Centre. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, accueillants, souriants. On s'y sent très bien en arrivant. Les petits déjeuner sont simples mais suffisant et le repas du soir est une petite merveille !

Le rapport qualité prix est très bon, nous avions le petit déjeuner et le dîner inclus. Nous avons pris une chambre double avec salle de bain partagée et les espaces communs sont très propres

Alles bestens. Das Host ist sehr hilfsbereit. Haben uns einen Tuk Tuk Fahrer organisiert der uns den kompletten Tag zu den schönsten Orten von Kandy gebracht hat und sehr viel Wissenswertes vermittelt hat. Die Cooking Class war sehr interessant Bestens zu empfehlen

Der Tag startete mit einem leckeren Frühstück auf der Dachterasse. Abends konnte man kostenlos an einem Kochkurs teilnehmen! Man lernt viele neue Leute kennen! Der Gastgeber und seine Familie waren mega symphatisch!

Bei den Badezimmern hatte man alles was man brauchte jedoch nicht besonders sauber!

Las instalaciones no parecían muy mantenidas. No estaba muy limpio. Las sábanas tenían olor a salchicha ahumada.

Dobry obiekt do spędzenia jednej nocy, jest to hostel więc nie można spodziewać się luksusów. Za to lekcja gotowania była super, można dowiedzieć się wielu ciekawych rzeczy a na koniec skonsumować świeżo przygotowany posiłek. Do centrum i świątyni zęba około 2 km więc na spokojnie można się przejść, spacer jest częściowo malownicza ścieżka wzdłuż jeziora.

I booked a private room and it was just off the lobby, very noisy and difficult to sleep

It was great! The people were very friendly and the dog DJ was the best! We had a cooking lesson and it was a cool social hostel

Czystość w pokoju pozostawia wiele do życzenia, woda w basenie bardzo zimna, co uniemożliwiło kąpiel. Najgorsze co nam się trafiło to śniadanie w dniu wyjazdu, dostaliśmy jedni jajko sadzone i po 4 kawałki chleba, który każdy był spleśniały. Żenada. Nikomu nie polecam, warto dopłacić więcej, żeby tam nie spędzać nocy.
