Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Fuga is located right next to the beach and has a relaxing vibe. The host Peter is fantastic - helpful, resourceful and always a call away. The room has a mini fridge, powerful ACs and a comfortable bed.
The bed is queen size and cannot accommodate a young family as no extra bed is provided.

Reviewed May 29, 2026It is a little gem, not the usual 'standard accommodation'. The owner maintains the compound himself, you can tell it is a lot of effort and dedication to the place. It is a place to escape from the city concrete, away from the noise and back to nature. The idea is nature, so there will be no hot water for shower and hairdryer. The location is splendid, free car park on-site at the back , next to the turtle conservatory.

Reviewed Dec 30, 2024Peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Bed was super comfortable and the Villa was clean and well maintained. I love the little patios and the well maintained garden and pools. It was a great place for the kids to just be free after a busy day exploring. Also the property is right by the beach so was fun to pop across in the morning before it gets busy.
It didn’t bother me but hot water for the shower would be lovely. There seemed to be loads of cats that would have a get together at midnight to discuss their plans.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2024Peter himself is very humble & kind. He manage to make sure this place stays clean. The room itself very clean and tidy, outdoor toilet & shower is genius! It feels like ur back in kampung!
Hope Peter could add floor mat in front of toilet door so that the room stays dry especially after my kids having shower.

Reviewed Dec 24, 2024We were mainly there to stay somewhere close to the beach, but the place was exceptionally beautiful and peaceful that it felt like we had it to ourselves. Peter was also a nice and kind host to us so this was definitely a plus!
Nothing much, but if we could suggest maybe the lighting in the toilet can be switched to the front porch/deck because we found the lights outside much brighter and so could be useful in the toilet at night.

Reviewed Dec 3, 2024The host was super friendly and helpful. The place is directly at the beach. If something was missing we could just ask for it. Since there was no foodstore close, Peter took us to the shop. During the week the place was peaceful and quiet, at the weekend there was more action at the beach.

With a handful of chalets nestled in a secluded setting, it offers an ideal retreat for small family gatherings accommodating up to 15-20 guests. Situated within walking distance of the beach, the village setting adds to its charm. Additionally, there are numerous kampung restaurants nearby, perfect for exploring local cuisine.
The rooms has no TVs, which some guests might find a drawback. However, this could be intentional to enhance the sense of seclusion from the outside world. Perhaps the host could consider adding TVs to accommodate different preferences.

Reviewed Dec 9, 2023Peace and quiet, outdoorsy experience within an enclosed area.
Quality of place in terms of the state of the property such as some things should have been repaired and not left in their dilapidated state, for example the main glass door could not be closed easily due to the almost broken locking mechanism, the comfort of the room wasn't improved from the last time I came years before (2-storey villa but no air con on the second floor), no TV channels or cable, no toiletries or beverages provided (a kettle for boiling water is provided though). Basically, it just provides a place to stay without the in room provisions. So, you're just paying a relatively high price for the aesthetic effect of the place (it is a much nicer place as compared to the typical chalets within the area). If you are there to have a feel of staying in a chalet that is private and away from the public, then this place may be to your liking. However, if you need to have a proper place of stay that provides the comforts of a hotel lodging for the amount that you pay, then this place does not cut it. Especially if you're with little children.

It is a walking distance from Pangkalan Balak beach which is very convenience for those enjoy water activity. The staff was attentive and helpful. The room was clean, equipped with basic amenities.

Reviewed Jul 29, 2023Peace and quiet. Accommodation was comfortable. Host was friendly and helpful. In the middle of a kampung area. We tried the foods around the kampung area - kampung people were friendly. Next to beach where turtles nest.
Have to drive 45 mins to get to Bandar Melaka on small winding roads. Mosquitoes at night if don't use aircond.
