Jawakara Islands Maldives

It is a beautiful resort with white beaches and clear blue water, palm etc. just as you immagine the maldives. The food, no matter what is amazing and you have so so much to chose from every meal. There are some amazing snorkeling spots just around the islands where you can see small sharks, rays and turtles very close to the beach. The resort offers a lot of activities to chose from as well so getting bored can be easily avoided. The gym on mabin island is one of the best gyms we have ever seen in a resort or hotel. We had a beach pool villa which was big, climatised and gets cleaned twice per day if you want. Beside your own pool you have your own small beach access and since the neighbours villas don't touch yours it is very nice and quiet. Even though the resort is quite big you still feel like on a quiet paradise island. The staff is very nice as well. You will have an island host that will be your direct contact person during your stay. Shout out to Nipun who took great care of us and always made everything possible to make our time as great as possible. The waiters and kitchen stuff are also very nice. Especially Govin and Agung where always there for us, so caring and friendly that we want to mention them here as well as Yousuf from the kitchen stuff. We also had great activities with Raxnee, Fainaan, Habeeb, Aslam as guides and boat crew. Thank you all for making our stay as nice as it was.

Sadly there where some downsides as well that can not stay unnoticed if you pay for a five star resort. The first thing is that the resort creates his own time zone by making everybody add one hour to the local time and oprating by that. The given reason is easier organisation of seaplanes as well as nice sunsets while having dinner. Both seam a bit weak for the fact that you can also enjoy the sunsets outside the dinner and that it just makes your jetlag worse which might make your experience in jawakara less relaxing than in other resorts. The next minor thing is the bathroom in the beach villas which is basically outside of your room, because there is a gap between the ceiling and the outer walls. There is no protection against insects in between. Even though they spray some peoduct against mosquitos every day around the island, you still have them in your bathroom all the time and also in your bedroom if you don't keep the bathroom door closed at all times. Also you might find ants on your toilet seat in the middle of the night. This inconvenience should be avoided in my opinion. The last thing to mention is the fact that at the end of your stay the welcoming atmosphere changes and it feels more like jawakara wants to get rid of you as fast as possible. They refused us a late checkout with the reason the seaplane company had shifted their latest flight of the day to 1pm. Our international flight from male was around midnight. That's why we would really have appreciated a later checkout. And yes the weather during our stay was quite unpredictable. But we talked to the seaplane captain afterwards and he assured us his flight at 1pm was definately not the last one from jawakara during that day. On top of that in Male we where greeted by some jawakara stuff that tried to sell us a tour around Male to spend our time in an enjoyable way. This tour should consist only of a walk through male for 70 dollars whiche we refused since it was raining.

It was the best anniversary of our wedding! Special thanks to Azu for organizing congratulations, gifts and surprises! Azu is the best personal manager! He always responded quickly to the messages, reserved the events for us, solved other tasks. Thanks to him our vacation has been excellent! The hotel is lovely, staff is very attentive and friendly. Organization of transfers at the highest level. We'll be glad to come back again!

The villa was exceptional, the island was immaculate, the staff were very personable and the facilities were top class. The shuttle system was great when needed, good choice of restaurants and the resort was pristine and maintained daily

There could/should be more options for between meal snacks such as a coffee shop or convenience store to buy some snacks etc.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Jawakara Resort in the Maldives! My boyfriend and I have stayed at several resorts in the Maldives, and Jawakara definitely stands out as one of our favorites. The resort itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous design, incredibly clean beaches, and very comfortable villas. Our villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beach bars, nightlife, and overall atmosphere were also fantastic, so there was always something enjoyable to do. One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. Having visited other resorts in the Maldives, I can honestly say that Jawakara had the best food we have experienced so far. There was an amazing variety of choices, and as a pescetarian, I found it extremely easy to find plenty of delicious things to eat. The selection was excellent and there was always something different to enjoy. The staff were another huge highlight. Everyone we met, from the chefs and cooks to our personal assistant, was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Their service really made our stay special. Another thing I really appreciated was how well the resort managed mosquitoes. They spray twice a day, and during our stay we barely noticed any mosquitoes at all. For a tropical island resort, this makes a huge difference and is something worth mentioning.

There are a couple of things that could be improved. I would love to see more sunbeds placed directly on some of the beaches rather than having them mainly around the beach bars. Some of the quieter beaches are absolutely beautiful, and it would be wonderful to be able to relax there comfortably. The bicycles could also use an upgrade. Unfortunately, I had two bicycles break during our stay, and in general they were quite old and not particularly comfortable to ride. Replacing them with newer, better-maintained bikes would definitely improve the experience, especially since cycling around the island is such a nice way to explore the resort. One thing to keep in mind is the snorkeling. If snorkeling is your main reason for visiting the Maldives and you are specifically looking to see lots of fish, sharks, and marine life, Jawakara may not be the ideal choice. There are other areas and resorts in the Maldives with much better snorkeling. However, if snorkeling isn’t your main priority, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jawakara. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would happily come back. From the beautiful design and pristine beaches to the fantastic food, wonderful staff, comfortable villas, beach bars, and nightlife, Jawakara gave us a fantastic holiday. For us, it was one of the best resort experiences we’ve had in the Maldives, and we would definitely recommend it!

Εξαιρετικό καινούριο resort. Πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό και υπέροχες παραλίες. Το resort έχει όλες τις ανέσεις για να περάσεις υπέροχα τις διακοπές σου. Είναι ένας επίγιειος παράδεισος.

Θα πρέπει να φτιαχτούν λίγο οι δρόμοι. Η ποδηλασία και οι μετακινήσεις γενικά με buggy δεν είναι τόσο ευχάριστες όταν υπάρχουν πολλές λακκούβες. Επίσης να ξανα δούνε λίγο τις τιμές των SPA-massage ή και των Watersports είναι γενικά πολύ ακριβά και εαν δεν βρίσκονται στο πακέτο που έκλεισες, δύσκολα τα προσθέτεις.

Εξαιρετικό καινούριο resort. Οι water pool villas είναι μια επειρία ξεχωριστή. Με πιο ωραία και πιο βαθιά πισίνα απο ότι στις beach villas. Πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό και υπέροχες παραλίες. Το resort έχει όλες τις ανέσεις για να περάσεις υπέροχα τις διακοπές σου. Είναι ένας επίγιειος παράδεισος.

Русскоговорящий Батлер часто очень долго отвечал, торопил везде, толком ничего не подсказывал, где лучше поплавать, что посмотреть, куда сходить, отлет это отдельная история Торопила все утро, в итоге вылет внутренний до аэропорта перенесли и она оставила нас в баре, хотя заранее знала, что его перенесли, пишу ей, не отвечает, и почему собственно мы в оплаченном номере не могли эти 1,5 часа подождать вылет

Всего три острова. Сокращенно назову их D, M и 18+ (он новый, его видели, только с воды) Острова и отель прекрасны! Все выглядит новым, современным. Так же видно, что за всем следят. Хотя понятно, что отель не новый. Сами виллы, мосты внешне. Но внутри все хорошо. Все чисто. Много радушных людей среди персонала! Огромная благодарность персоналу ресторана и бара на острове D! Моя семья всегда чувствовала заботу и правдивую дружелюбность! Все очень счастливые, хотя работа тяжелая! Отдельная благодарность официантам Оливии и ее напарнику, не узнала имени, к сожалению. Привет вам!!!:) Спасибо нашему первому батлеру Мохамеду! Профессионал своего дела! Сделал нам даже бронь ресторана в день прилета! Информировал нас постоянно. Очень понравилась вечеринка у гольфа с персоналом. Чудесная спокойная атмосфера. Пела прекрасная девушка с красивым голосом!) Спасибо, что организовали вторую лодку в один из дней на просмотр дельфинов. Прекрасные парни на водных видах спорта работают. С классной музыкой🤙🏽. Чудесно на многом прокатились👌🏼. В целом, отелю и хорошим людям можно поставить оценку 9. Но ситуации были так же еще не допустимые, к сожалению. Большое спасибо за наш поздний выезд и вылет.

Недопустимое поведение персонала, зайти в номер при табличке не беспокоить! Постели пропахли потом и сигаретами, видимо одеяла, подушки и матрасы. Оплатив все включено. Мы два дня ждали велосипед. Без скандалов. Просто просили его в сообщениях и лично на ресепшен, семь раз. Поездка на лодке на снорклинг, которая входила в пакет все включено, не состоялась по причине полной загрузки лодок на все дни нашего пребывания. Либо про нас забыли. На других островах мы могли полностью ходить босиком. На этом острове на дорогах практически пыль, а не песок, больно ходить без обуви.

Der Aufenthalt im Jawakara hat uns von vorne bis hinten überzeugt. Wir hatten einen Pool Villa auf Dheru und All Inclusive gebucht. Die Angestellten war so freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mit den Fahrrädern kam man immer sehr schnell auf die andere Insel (Mabin). Das Essen im Buffetrestaurant war auch gut und die Auswahl sehr gross. Auch die anderen Restaurants sind sehr gut. Unser Host Azu war soooooo freundlich und hat sich immer um alles gekümmert! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir würden auch sofort wiederkommen!

Das einzige was man verbessern könnte sind die Cocktails an der Bar. Sie sind nicht immer so gut gemixt (zu viel Alkohol) und das Verhältnis stimmt nicht immer.

Foi nossa segunda vez no Jawakara, e assim como a primeira, a estadia foi simplesmente perfeita. Desde o momento da nossa chegada, tudo superou as nossas expectativas. A ilha é deslumbrante, com paisagens de tirar o fôlego, águas cristalinas e pores do sol inesquecíveis. O atendimento foi impecável em todos os detalhes, e nos sentimos verdadeiramente acolhidos durante toda a estadia. Um agradecimento especial ao Iru, sempre gentil, atencioso e essencial para tornar nossa experiência ainda mais especial. Essa viagem ficará para sempre em nossa memória, e já estamos ansiosos para voltar. Muito obrigada por tudo!

Property was fantastic. We had such a great time and the staff were exceptional. Bikes are given to each villa which made getting around the island super easy. Golf course was super fun and we saw turtles almost every day we were there. Highly recommend.

Only thing we struggled a bit with was the staff’s obsession to clear the tables while we were eating. Sometimes we weren’t even ready. I’m saying this in a constructive manner not to demotivate the staff.

Mabin вилата беше точно това, което очаквах - всичко беше чудесно, хората които почистват много се стараят, даже бяха украсили леглото -изненада за рожден ден :) Персонала в ресторанта също са изключителни, специални благодарности на Nikhil ! Певицата в Bonthi bar беше невероятна, истинско удоволствие да я слушаш!

Храната в ресторанта не е много разнообразна, но в никакъв случай няма да останеш гладен. Недопустимо е обаче наличието на плъхове на острова, открих един дори в банята! Няколко дни морето беше мръсно, във водата плуваха хранителни отпадъци… Мениджмънта не беше гъвкав в ситуацията, около отменените полети през Доха и не се съгласи да удължаваме престоя ден за ден, докато получим някаква яснота… Лекарствата ни свършиха и бяхме таксувани на рецепция 60$ за консултация с лекар, без да ни предупредят за това в лечебницата…

Everything was perfect. Staff super friendly and helpful, food delicious, spa was excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere. There was absolutely nothing we needed.

Just one small thing which I hope will be constructive. The staff were obsessed with clearing the tables during meals. Sometimes we weren’t even finish and it could be a little bit annoying.

From the moment we stepped off the seaplane we felt like we were in paradise. Our over water villa was much bigger than we thought it would be and spotless. Abdullah, our villa host was very welcoming and helpful. Restaurant's were great (Molo was the favourite) buffet had a great selection every day. Staff attention to detail was outstanding. Sad to leave but will definitely return.

Couldn't fault anything.

Hotel molto bello, nuovo, ha pochi anni. Lo staff è fantastico, tutto molto gentile. Stavamo al ristorante a buffet Aila ed erano tutti molto gentili; una menzione speciale per Nia che era molto gentile con noi. Il mare è molto bello, anche se in diversi punti ci sono le alghe, e a volte anche coralli sulla spiaggia. Bisogna avere fortuna con la camera; a me non piace vedere le alghe in acqua o sulla spiaggia, ma è un fatto soggettivo, non è colpa dell’hotel chiaramente. Avevamo una camera con il corallo sulla spiaggia e abbiamo chiesto di cambiarcela (ci hanno accontentati). Le attività devono essere prenotate con molto anticipo, altrimenti si rischia di non trovare posto (anche se se qualcuno disdice sempre alla fine e il posto si trova). Il reef è abbastanza lontano dalla spiaggia, bisogna andare con la barca a vedere dei bei colori sulla barriera corallina. Il fatto che siano due isole attaccate da un ponte rende il tutto più vario, e’ possibile cambiare i ristoranti e le piscine nelle due isole. Anche i transfer dall’aeroporto all’hotel sono organizzati molto bene, con pochi tempi di attesa.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à Jawakara Islands Maldives. Le personnel est adorable, attentionné et toujours aux petits soins : on se sent réellement pris en charge du début à la fin, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus agréable. L’hôtel nous a également offert quelques activités, une attention vraiment appréciable. Le resort est composé de deux îles : Mabin et Dheru, chacune avec son spa, sa salle de sport et ses restaurants. Les deux îles sont reliées par un pont, ce qui permet de circuler librement et de profiter de l’ensemble des infrastructures, peu importe où l’on loge. Côté snorkeling, il est meilleur à Mabin, avec plus de vie marine, ce qui ravira les amateurs. À Dheru, l’eau est en revanche plus cristalline, idéale pour la baignade et les photos. Petite parenthèse (l’eau n’est pas pronfonde sur les plages, il faut vraiment bien s’éloigner et encore ça dépend des endroits. Beaucoup de choix pour les lieux de baignade) Globalement, le snorkeling est très bien pour les amateurs, mais pour les habitués, ce n’est pas non plus le spot le plus impressionnant. Pour le reste, c’est tout simplement paradisiaque : pilotis magnifiques, plages sublimes, eau turquoise, villas superbes… un vrai décor de carte postale 🌴✨ Un resort très bien organisé, où l’on se sent choyé et libre de profiter à son rythme. Nous recommandons sans hésiter 🤍

Abbiamo da poco concluso la nostra luna di miele a Jawakara Islands Maldives e possiamo dire senza alcun dubbio che è stata una vacanza semplicemente perfetta, ben oltre le nostre aspettative. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti in modo impeccabile: il check-in è stato velocissimo ed effettuato direttamente in villa, nell’isola di Dheru, un dettaglio che abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo dopo il viaggio. Un ringraziamento speciale va al nostro Island Host, Nappe, che è stato straordinario: sempre presente, disponibile, gentile e professionale dal primo all’ultimo giorno. Nappe ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale, occupandosi di ogni esigenza con grande attenzione e un sorriso sincero. La villa era semplicemente bellissima: spaziosa, curata nei dettagli e con uno splendido bagno maldiviano all’aperto, davvero suggestivo. La spiaggia davanti alla villa garantiva totale privacy, con un mare magnifico, cristallino e sempre invitante. Il servizio di pulizia della camera, effettuato due volte al giorno, è stato impeccabile. Il ragazzo incaricato era sempre gentilissimo, discreto e molto attento, mantenendo la villa sempre perfetta. Per quanto riguarda la ristorazione, il Vela Restaurant, dove abbiamo consumato i pasti principali, offre un buffet estremamente ampio e di altissima qualità. La varietà del cibo è notevole e la qualità eccellente. I cuochi che cucinavano dal vivo erano non solo molto bravi, ma anche simpatici e disponibili, sempre pronti a scambiare due parole. Le serate a tema hanno dato grande varietà alle proposte culinarie, rendendo ogni cena diversa e speciale. Abbiamo cenato anche al Molo Restaurant, che ci è piaciuto molto, ma il nostro vero preferito è stato l’Umi Restaurant, dove abbiamo trovato cibo asiatico superlativo e, come sempre, personale estremamente cordiale e attento. Abbiamo inoltre partecipato a diverse attività: immersioni con il Dive Center, windsurf e kayak con il Water Sports Center.

Our island host, Looth, was absolutely delightful! He made our stay extremely enjoyable by caring for every single detail, even making sure to substitute our welcome champagne for non-alcoholic champagne since we don’t drink, and making sure our itinerary suited us well. The à la carte restaurants were fantastic to say the least, and the island staff was very nice and hospitable. Massive shoutout to all the restaurant and bar staff, especially Taha, who went above and beyond to make our meal at Umi one of the best we’ve had in a while! Since we were staying at Dheru, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the small couples’ island and at the same time do activities and enjoy the liveliness and activities in the Maabin island.

The buffet food definitely could’ve been better, and so could the beach BBQ, other than that everything was excellent.

Staff, long walks - walks over the bridge during night - beautiful beach on the west side (inside atoll) - diving was average but again that’s nature - overall we had a very nice stay!

Small things really: we had half board and after diving we wanted a sandwich- we were told that this is impossible between 13.00-15.00 - I find that strange. Prodivers: generally ok, not very experienced- at the end we were charged for a broken fin we rented out: we were not aware we broke it but even if we had: this was rented out many times before and it was just the material which was old

Impeccable beauty with amazing customer service. The two islands are large enough where you get a bike to cycle around but small enough to feel really secluded out in nature. The water is calm and magical and the restaurant/ pool area on the smaller island is stunning. I highly recommend the all inclusive package. Amazing drinks and an extensive wine list.

Just a few things to note: -the buffet is very good but not jaw drop amazing (we were all inclusive so didn’t get to try the other restaurants) -there is a fair amount of sea grass by the overwater villas depending on what time of year you go, as it changes by the season. The sea grass disturbs the picture perfect turquoise water, so be sure to request one of the villas with no sea grass -similar to previous point, if you’re at a beach villa on the west side of the islands, seaweed / sea grass washes up on shore during some parts of the year.

We had a villa on the water. Of course, it's an amazing view. Impeccable cleanliness (cleaned twice a day). I liked everything, a charming island, an unforgettable holiday. Delicious food and very responsible and qualified staff. We were lucky to meet Nappe. He was our host. A wonderful, responsible person. He knows his business. He always fulfilled our every whim. Nappe, thank you very much. My recommendation: Better to choose villa on the water. If you choose villa on the beach, you may encounter representatives of island's wildlife in your bathroom.

Everything is fine. No complaints, just one suggestion: maintain your level of service.

There should be a little store to buy random things that you may forget to take on holiday like baby wipes or a hair brush (the island shop only sells souvenirs)

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to a lot of places, but nothing to compare with the experience I had at Jawakara. If you’re looking for a place in Maldives, stop searching and choose Jawakara.
