We had the best vacation we could have wished for. Special thanks to Sawad & Erma who made our stay extra special. The chef from Turquoise makes delicious food and went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We can’t wait to come back to this beautiful island with its wonderfull staff.

I had with my family very bad experience in this resort the stuff was very rude and the room not comfortable plus that the toilet outside has a lot of bugs last year we were in other resorts, which was much far comfortable than this one. I will never come back here with my family again and do not recommend anyone to come.

Our stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa for our honeymoon was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived until departure, everything felt personal, warm, and incredibly well‑organized. We would 100% come back and can honestly say the experience was worth every cent. The diving and snorkeling were a real highlight. We had some of the most beautiful dives we’ve ever done, including shark snorkeling and an unforgettable dolphin cruise. The dive team, especially Judith, were extremely professional, calm, and friendly, and really helped us feel safe and relaxed while showing us the best spots under and on the water. The service across the resort was exceptional. Every single waiter and every member of staff we met was genuinely kind, attentive, and always smiling. Whether it was at breakfast, dinner, the bar or around the pool, we constantly felt looked after and welcome. The food was consistently delicious, with a great variety and quality that matched the overall level of the resort. Overall, our stay at Le Méridien Maldives was indescribably good. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon, with an amazing mix of relaxation, adventure, top‑level service, and great food. We had a truly incredible time and would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a special, memorable experience in the Maldives.

I have been here 5nights 6days. My family and I were really enjoyed every moments of our stay here. All staffs are very kind and friendly. They were reliable so my wife and I could be fully relaxed and spend precious time. Especially, thanks to staffs in the kids hub for warm careful caring for my kids. Additionally I really appreciate providing special meal and services, and welcoming.

My husband and I chose Le Méridien Maldives for our honeymoon, and it was truly one of the best decisions we could have made. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The only minor inconvenience is that the resort is accessible by seaplane, and the transfer is not included in the room rate. However, once you arrive, any inconvenience is quickly forgotten. If you enjoy snorkeling, this resort is a paradise. The marine life around the island is incredible, and my husband was amazed by the variety of species he was able to see right from the resort’s reefs. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations…from the villa and the beaches to the activities and dining experiences. What stood out most, however, was the exceptional service and genuine kindness of the staff. Each guest is assigned a dedicated host who is available to assist with any requests throughout their stay. We were fortunate to have Supur as our host, and he made our entire experience effortless and memorable. He even arranged a private romantic dinner on the beach for us, which became one of the highlights of our honeymoon. We also had the opportunity to dine at all of the resort’s restaurants, and every experience was outstanding. The staff consistently went above and beyond, including preparing thoughtful surprises to help celebrate our honeymoon. A special mention goes to Veela Restaurant and Chef Pradeep, who was incredibly attentive and even prepared special dishes for us that were not on the menu. Le Méridien Maldives is a resort I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or as a family. It offers the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, and outstanding hospitality. A true 10/10 experience, and one we hope to repeat someday.

This place truly feels like paradise. The island is beautiful, full of lush greenery, and everything is kept very clean. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, and we could see so many sharks, rays, turtles, and different kinds of fish right from there. It was an amazing experience. Everything was absolutely beautiful. Our room was always kept very clean, and it was cleaned twice a day. The housekeeping staff were also always very kind and friendly. The food was amazing in every restaurant. Everything was fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. At every dinner, they decorated our table in a special way for us. We were always amazed and couldn’t stop admiring how beautiful everything looked. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and everything was very, very tasty. There was a great selection of vegetables, cheeses, hot dishes, soup, smoothies, fruit, pancakes, and much more. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I would especially like to thank the entire Veela Restaurant team. Every single one of them was warm, kind, and caring, and they all hold a very special place in my heart. On our last evening, Chef Pradeep surprised us with a personalized grilled platter prepared just for us, and we even took a group photo together. It was such a touching gesture that even now, as I write this review, it brings tears to my eyes. It was very hard for us to leave the island and say goodbye to all these wonderful people. Amazing experience of high quality food, drinks and service. The 4 restaurants were all sensational. The service from the moment you step off the sea plane and are welcomed by resort manager Thomas and his whole team. Nothing is too much. We were thoroughly spoiled by resort staff, Francisca keeps in touch, by all the restaurant waiters and I don’t like to single anyone out as they were all excellent and ensured you had cold drinks, towels, and gave advice on things to do. Symon on the beach was very quick to ensure you had a drink, Abhishek from F&B was always there to make sure you were enjoying your meals. Every course was exceptional. Not a normal All Inclusive buffet style. But à la carte service for lunch and dinner. Not pre made cocktails, but individually tailored. No hard sales just a willingness to please. We will be back.

The resort and its staff were truly exceptional. We visit the Maldives every year, but this was our first stay at Le Méridien Maldives, and it exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights from the very beginning was seeing the Director of Operations, Mr. Deepak, whom we knew from another Marriott property in the Maldives. It was such a pleasant surprise! As always, he treated us with professionalism, genuine warmth, and great hospitality. We were delighted to see him here. We loved all the staff, the chefs, and everyone we met during our stay. Their friendliness and dedication made us feel welcome throughout our vacation. We stayed in a Lagoon Villa, as we are not fans of fully overwater villas or semi-outdoor bathrooms. The Lagoon Villa was the perfect fit for us—it offered easy ground-level access while still providing the beautiful overwater villa experience right in front of us. The setup was excellent. The only downside was the absence of a private pool in the villa. A special shoutout to the Kids Hub team—Manager Ms. Reesha, along with Ms. Fary and Ms. Torsa. They were absolutely amazing and took wonderful care of our child. Our toddler spent such a great time with them and the other children, which made our trip even more enjoyable and relaxing. All of the restaurants were fantastic, with a wide variety of food options. At some Maldives resorts, even with all-inclusive packages, we eventually get tired of the food and dining venues. However, Le Méridien Maldives offers four distinct restaurants, each with excellent food quality and a unique dining experience, so every meal felt fresh and enjoyable. I cannot remember everyone’s names, but Chef Rahul, Erma, Xavi, and many others were incredibly kind and contributed to making our stay so memorable. I must also mention Symon from Velaa. He did much more than serve guests—he kindly offered to take photos for us, and the results looked like they were taken by a professional photographer! If you have the chance, look for Symon and ask him to take your pictures—you won’t be disappointed. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for your outstanding hospitality, accommodations, and service. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Went on a honeymoon to Le Meridien and it was a wonderful experience with best service. The room was cleaned twice a day and the food in every restaurant was delicious. Especially our host, Ali, had a birthday surprise for my husband. Everyone was really kind and made us really comfortable.

Hospitality at its true best! What an incredible stay, what an incredible staff, what an incredible experience! We have had such an amazing experience and that it just felt like being at home but without all the daily stress and worry. Most importantly, my 1.5 year old toddler was taken care of completely! Chef Pradeep took take of all my baby food demands, and best part it keep my baby sane and healthy all throughout the trip. Chef Pradeep was supported by chefs Rahul, suraj, vamsi, arvind and shoaib. If they were not around to cater to us, the experience would have been completely different and not as smooth. Also like to extend my thanks to Abhishek, Aby, francesca, yami, and all incredible staff there whose name i dont remember but all of them were just so so kind and caring towards all of us. Cant wait to go back again! Thanks again for such a lovely experience.

Le Meridien is a place I will recommend to visit with family. Especially for young kids, I did come with my two year old daughter and she had a wonderful experience with her nanny Torsa. Torsa is kind and heartwarming, play along side with my daughter and enjoyed every moment of it. Overall I will say it is a nice island with good view, excellent food and prompt service.

The Le Meridien resort turned out to be amazing — we made the right choice. We were absolutely delighted with our vacation and enjoyed every single day. The service is top-notch, and the food at every restaurant is delicious. You can truly feel that the staff cares about everyone’s comfort — they’re always checking in, giving recommendations, and engaging with guests. The stay in le Meridien Maldives was amazing, least to say. I Spent my honeymoon there. Hands down best vacation I had in my entire life and i have been to lots of places. The way the staff treated us made me feel like a king. Absolute perfection and insane attention to all the small details from all of the staff members, especially Abby, Ali, Symon, Upsy, Chef Rahul and photographer Ahu. The room was always tiday and was taken care of twice a day. The reception was bery helpful and all our extra requests got immediately done. The beach was clean, water was clear and the dive center offerd multiple experiences to meet everyone’s needs to get the most experience out of it. The hotel/manger made for us extra complimentary stuff and gave us the best possible room when they were informed that it was our honeymoon. I will definitely come back. Thank you le meridien for such a non forgettable once in a lifetime experience. Only thing that make me sad is that i have to leave after amazing 7 days in Heaven.

We really loved the stay with le Meridien Maldives. Everything was so well taken care of and we could just enjoy all the food and activities without worrying. The food was exceptional, could see the effort and level of detail put into each dish. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. And the room cleaning staff were nice. We enjoyed every bit of the honeymoon experience. We really enjoyed the honeymoon benefits which made our stay more special. The view here is absolutely stunning. Our curator Ali was very responsive to our messages and tried his best to accommodate our needs.

From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the breathtaking scenery and warmly welcomed by the staff’s beautiful smiles. It instantly made us excited for the vacation ahead. Every morning, we started the day with snorkeling. The table corals, reef corals, colorful tropical fish, sleepy stingrays, and sea turtles enjoying their breakfast made every swim unforgettable. No matter how many times we went into the ocean, we never got tired of it. After snorkeling, we enjoyed breakfast while relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. The hospitality from the staff was exceptional throughout our stay. A special thank you to Nashyth, who was incredibly kind to our children and even spoke perfect Japanese. Our kids became so attached to him that they seriously wished they could bring him back to Japan with us. Our children also absolutely loved the Kids Club. They were so excited to go every day that they even ordered the buggy by themselves just to get there faster. At the Kids Club, Torsa and Reesha welcomed everyone with wonderful smiles and took such great care of the children. Thanks to them, our kids wanted to stay there all day, which also gave us time to fully relax and enjoy the resort ourselves. Dinner was also outstanding every night. The paella was especially incredible — we honestly wanted to try every single kind. It’s frustrating that the rating only goes up to 10 points because this resort deserves even more. Without a doubt, this was the best vacation of our lives. Our only concern is that once more people discover how incredible Le Méridien is, it may become too popular and crowded someday

I visited for a 3-day weekend on the back of a work trip to Bangalore. The resort was pretty empty, but it still had great amenities available. The massage I had at the spa was well done, and I watched fishes during the first half while face down on the table through a glass plate in the floor. Breakfast was excellent!! Food at the Japanese and Spanish restaurants was ok. The salads are fresh and come from the on premise greenhouse. You can check out a bike during your stay, which was convenient. Beds were a little firm for my taste but the linens were nice.

Our stay in the Maldives was truly relaxing and filled with happiness. The surroundings felt like a dream—crystal-clear waters, breathtaking views, and an atmosphere that allowed us to fully unwind and enjoy every moment. From the facilities to the overall service, every detail reflected great care and quality. We would especially like to mention FARY and REESHA from the kids’ club. They were incredibly kind, patient, and attentive with children. They spent time playing and interacting with our son, making each day fun and memorable for him. He absolutely loved being with them and looked forward to visiting the kids’ club every day. It was heartwarming to see how much joy they brought him, and it also gave us peace of mind to relax and enjoy our vacation. Overall, this was an amazing experience—not only for us as adults, but also for our child, who created so many happy memories. It was a wonderful family trip, and we would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Perfect place for a vacation and to truly chill. There are so many activities to enjoy, and the whole stay feels comfortable and relaxing. The staff were polite and very helpful throughout our trip. In particular, Ali, our direct contact point, was amazing—always responsive and attentive. When we faced some uncomfortable situation, Ali reacted quickly and provided immediate assistance. Also, I highly recommend the diving and mermaid experience here. The staff Judith and Sara made everything even better—friendly, professional, and caring. They gave me a really unforgettable memory. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable, and relaxing getaway!

Very good experience. As an ex-titanium Marriott member with stay over 250 nights record, this hotel is by far the best due to its location and services it provides. Please fix the swinging door in the wardrobe compartment. We bang into each other. A honeymoon could turn into a fight. LOL. In front of room #220, there is deep pole i use to gauge the depth of the water during high / low tide. The measurement pole is corroded and i believe with a push, it will disintegrate into half. Please fix it , it helps snorkelers in gauging the height of the water during high tide. Safety….

We had a wonderful time at Le Méridien and would like to thank the whole team in providing a cozy experience and showing great hospitality. We enjoyed the kids hub and appreciated the hospitality from Miss Reesha, Miss Torsa, Miss Fary and Miss Sandy. Our kid loved the activities so much that she cried on our day of departure. Kids camping night was also nicely arranged and we hoped we could have participated in more kids hub activities ! Chef Devin and Chef Predeep are doing a great job in taking care of our gastronomical experience. We loved the charred steak and the fresh and tender reef fish. We also loved the great varieties of food served in the breakfast especially the locally grown vegetables and granola. We truly felt the hospitality from everyone in turquoise and velaa. Special thanks to Symon for the ice bar for our daughter. We have also joined the sea turtle ID, shark and ray bay snorkelling at the dive center and they were absolutely amazing! I would like to thank Caesar for his informative sharing and taking good care of me in the sea. And vanz for organising my trips. This was easily one of the highlights in my trip

WOW. My wife and I stayed for our anniversary. The level of service, food and comfort just set a new bar for us. I don’t have enough space or memory to actually capture everything. First, at check in, you get a WhatsApp number for your concierge. We normally never use a concierge when we go places. Too much of a hassle and easier to do things on my own. Not here. Just send a message on dinner reservations, diving arrangements, etc and within minutes things are arranged. She even checked on us when after we left as she knew we had a long flight process home. The food. Yum. You would not think that you would have some of the best beef in the world here. But yeah, they import it from Australia. I have had beef from Argentina to Alberta (Canada). I obviously don’t even need to comment about the seafood. They have an on island greenhouse so you get fresh veggies and salads too. Amazing snorkeling and diving whether on a boat trip out or down the steps of your villa deck. When it comes to service, my wife’s comment was “I don’t think they ever say no.” The service starts from the time you clear customs. There is a rep with a sign when you come out. He walks you to the shuttle to the seaplane terminal. You are handed off to folks who take you to the lounge for Westin and Le Meridien to wait until your seaplane leaves. Like butter from there. Delayed sea plane to the island, luggage not loaded even though we only had 1 cabin case each, delays at check in. Hotel mention the good restaurants then you can’t book any. Everything on the island is overpriced. Buggy service isn’t the best you have ti call or message more than once. Last day multiple delays with sea plane not one member of staff contacted me we waited around for hours and had fi keep going back and forth. Pretty my lost our last day waiting around to leave. We missed our reservations on the airport island as we arrived that late. Made contact with the hotel and the complaint has been ignored. For the price we paid to stay here I wouldn’t go back. Much nicer resorts around that are cheaper and offer better service.

This experience is very good. The people on the island are very friendly. Especially our housekeeper Ali, who is super nice and paitent. The food is also very delicious and rich in variety It would be better if the Spanish restaurant and steak restaurant were richer. When chasing dolphins, Bo, lalurizu‘s Chinese explanation showed us a lot of dolphins. Kayaking is very fun. It's just that there are only two paddleboards. Our family of four can't play together.Overall, this trip is very happy.

Recently we had a wonderful stay at Le Méridien Maldives, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. It was our second time there and it was even more unforgettable. The hotel location is absolutely spectacular –on a small island surrounded by the crystal turquoise waters. What makes it truly special is the beautiful house reef surrounding the island. While snorkeling or diving we may admire variety of colorful fishes, turtles and rays. The culinary experience was also one of the most important. The resort offers three exceptional restaurants, one standard restaurant and several bars also adults only. Let me point two very special for us. Riviera, with talented Chef Arvind, is a true gem. The seafood here is exceptional, perfectly prepared fish dishes that highlight the best of the seefood cusine. Their paella, prepared in the traditional way, is rich in flavor with perfectly cooked rice and decorated with nicely presented seefood. Every meal we had at Riviera was full of heart involved and memorable. Velaa, with Chef Pradeep, offers an equally impressive experience with a focus on premium meats. The steaks are cooked as perfect as we ordered, tender and full of flavor. But to be honest we came back to taste again the lamb chops. Among the best we ever had. Juicy, perfectly seasoned with garlic serving. Only thing we missed was the green pepper sauce we loved while we were here previously 3 years ago… What truly is the strong for the quality of both restaurants, is the outstanding service team. The teams at Riviera and Velaa are truly highly professional. But what is the most important they are incredibly warm, empathetic, and attentive. They remember your preferences, anticipate your needs, and make you feel really spectial. Their professionalism and sincere hospitality make the lunch and above all the dinner and evening verry special. We would like to congratulate Mr Thomas the quality he keeps up. We hope to come back there again.

Le Meridien Maldives (LMM) is one of our Top 5 Favorite Properties in the World. We've made annual visits to the Maldives in the last 13 years and stayed at other luxury Maldivian resorts , including Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis, Park Hyatt, and Conrad, but have concluded that LMM takes the crown. This was our 4th visit at the LMM. Why we keep coming back (1) Exceptional Service - from top management to landscape staff, the smiles are genuine and the care comes from the heart. You're made to feel part of the family. (2) Outstanding Snorkeling - the house reef is vibrant and home to sea turtles, manta rays, eagle rays, sharks, among many schools of colorful fishes. Our favorite thing to do each day is wake up to the sunrise and jump in the water. (3) World-class Dining – every meal was a delight with fresh ingredients and exquisite presentation! Our dietary preferences were always noted and accommodated with thoughtfulness and care. (4) Happy Associates – you know you’re in a good place when staff retention is high and you’re greeted by familiar faces on each return. A few additional points, if you are still reading. (5) Comfortable Hardware - from functional rooms to well-maintained facilities, the LMM has everything you possibly need. The Waldorf or St. Regis might offer larger rooms, but in our experience, the well-designed layout of the LMM villas gives us exactly what we need. The talented culinary team of chefs, consisting of Subam (the incredible dim sum specialist), Rahul, Pradeep (in charge of Velaa), Nikki, Sanchit and Delina (the chefs in charge of pastry, bread, and all things sweet), Suraj, Shoaib (in charge of Riviera), Hannah, Jesaya, Robert, Izam, Rafy, Miko, Ridoh, among others, for keeping the offering standards super high. Supun, Aapaa, and Nasheeth for leading a great team of cheerful helpful friends at Turquoise - Jezzika, Erma, Nazim, Mauch, Mirrah, Puri, Upsy, Nooh, Ayaan, and many others. Akbar and Lita for managing Velaa and the team there so effectively that it's always a special treat for us to stop there for afternoon pizzas or elegant evening dinners. Their associates Hafiz, Symon, Nishaath, Sameeh, and many others are always happy and ready to assist at any time. Team members who normally work at outlets other than Turquoise but come to Turquoise to help - Puspa, Neng, Ali Baba, Ahmed, Rafdi (the resort barista), Toqjan, Dewi, Kyra, and many others - you guys rock! Many whose names we don't know but work hard behind the scene in the kitchen or in-villa dining, and clean up the buffet stations after meals - we see and appreciate you. Recreation Under the leadership of Raj, the recreation team, consisting of Rupesh, Hari, and Ayushi, puts out an exciting program of daily activities, such as pool dance parties, scavenger hunt, Zumba, karaoke, and other sports offerings – we tried them all! Your high energy and special talent add to the enjoyment of guests. This is not typical for the other Maldivian resorts we visited before, so keep up the good work! Housekeeping Our housekeeper Gasim pays special attention to details, cleans meticulously, and refills everything we need during our stay. The villa is kept so comfortable and clean - kudos to the team for maintaining this high standard year after year. We sleep really well here at the LMM. Front Office and Reservations Francesca and Peter do an excellent job leading the front office team who are super responsive and helpful via WhatsApp or phone. Thank you to Ali, Jennifer, Alessio, Phoebe, Baku, Alyssa, Illey, Alibe, and many others who help in front of or behind the scene. Special thanks also go to Ibrahim and team at Reservations for ensuring all the details of our stay are taken care of before our arrival. Resort Management and Leadership Thomas, Nafiu, Deepak, and others, we see how you take such good care of your team members so that they can provide the most authentic and genuine service to resort guests. During our stay this year, we met 4-5 couples/families we had met here at the LMM in the past. The number of repeat guests here at the LMM speaks volumes to how outstanding a job you all are doing. We notice that many of your employees have been with the resort since pre-opening and stay. This is not usual in the Maldives. Given what's going on in the world right now, we wish you the best of luck navigating the choppy waters and pray that the situation improve soon.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful service. Food was varied and very good. Room standard Indian ocean room/ we stayed in a beach villa- super clean, with all we needed. The house reef has many animals, plenty ic fish or rays, however is quite destroyed. Suboceanic/ dive center- excellent trips to sharks, turtles and wonderful dolphin safari. Well supplied sport center. Thank you Ceasar, Supun, Ali, Hady. Loved our stay with le meridien:)

A fabulous resort. Nothing is too loud, yet everything fits perfectly. The service is excellent, and the staff are thoughtful and kind. They really want to make your day special. It's the small touches that make the experience special. They are also excellent at organising your arrival, arranging for a seaplane to match your flight schedule. I cannot recommend the Le Méridien experience highly enough.

Beautiful place the water and the location

We stayed at Le Méridien Maldives it was absolutely amazing and truly unforgettable. The views are super beautiful and breathtaking, making every moment feel special. Everything about the resort was perfect, charming, calming, and serene. The space across the property is very well managed, and we never felt the need to compromise on anything during our stay. It is definitely value for money. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the resort, and the noise levels were very well maintained—we didn’t experience anything that could disturb our peace. We highly recommend staying here. The services were far better than our expectations, especially the food and the hospitality of the chefs. Their warmth and friendliness made us feel completely at home. They even cooked as per our requirements, and every meal was delicious. We still remember their names because of their wonderful behavior and care: Chef Pradeep Poojary, Chef Arvind, Chef Sanchit, Chef Sooraj, Chef Shoaib, and Chef Robert from Tabemasu. We would love to meet them again and happily eat anything they cook, as their food is simply outstanding. Abhishek, the F&B Manager, who was an absolute pleasure to have as a caretaker. He managed everything with great attention, dedication, and kindness, ensuring our stay was smooth and memorable. Overall, Le Méridien Maldives exceeded all our expectations, and we would love to visit again.

We had an amazing time as a family with our two small girls. Special thanks to the Kids’ Club staff — especially Sandy and Torsa — for their wonderful support in looking after our children. The girls really had a blast there. Everything was terrific in this resort, from the food and service (both in the restaurants and at housekeeping level) to the amazing weather. We would definitely love to come back again in the future. Also special thanks to Silvio from the Dive Center, my husband had an awesome Try Scuba session with him. This hotel is an absolute recommendation.

From the minute we landed, our stay was incredible. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff and food was genuinly incredible. Aysha, Mauch, Hafiz, Nishaanth, Ali Baba, Abby, Sorijana and the wider team delivered exceptional service. We too opted for Hari a personal trainer who was exceptionally knowledgeable. As someone with coeliac disease, I really have to say how impressed I was with Le Meridian’s knowledge of dietary requirements. Pradeep the head chef at Velaa really does need a special mention. He and his team created the most delicious meals for us and went out of their way to cater to my needs. If you’re worried about the quality of food at an all inclusive stay, I would highly recommend Le Meridian. The food really was standout with a choice of restaurants and huge variety of food on offer. We would come back in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend paying extra for the sunset villas. It’s worth the additional money!

It’s the 4th time for us in the Maldives, first time at le méridien! It won’t be the last time though. We had a lovely stay, the staff is amazing, the rooms are big and clean, the facilities… I was particularly impressed by the kids club, the ladies there do a great job in entertaining the kids and engaging with them… special thanks to Reesha who is great with the kids, to Aby from turquoise who is so sweet and nice, to Kyra and Yve from Riviera who were super lovely as well. We left the island with two sad eyes. Our 8-day stay in a villa built halfway in the water above the sand was very nice, spacious, and very well maintained. The resort offers everything you could want in the Maldives and even much more. In terms of food (no matter which restaurant), cleanliness, and friendliness, we can confidently give it top marks. But what made our vacation so valuable and, among other things, so emotional were the people. (Not the guests :-) but the staff.) We experienced an incredible amount of passion, genuine friendliness, and hospitality that we have never, or at least rarely, experienced in Switzerland. The manager, Muthuraman, deserves a special mention here. He always managed to make us feel like we were the only guests on the island. No matter which restaurant we ate at, he always surprised us with culinary delights. Only the Japanese restaurant didn't really convince us. In our opinion, it was too expensive for food that was good but not outstanding. We recommend the resort with a clear conscience and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff and, once again, especially to Muthuraman for everything he did for us. Nice house reef always you to spot a lot when snorkeling. The bar is also nice as it's a great spot for sundowners and adults only. Great food, especially breakfast.

Got lots of mosquito and sandfly bites throughout, they try to control that but don't manage to. AI bookers are limited to got to the Japanese restaurant for dinner every four days. In the over water villas it's always noisy ehenthey drive around with the buggys. During our stay they did photo shooting and several locations were closed multiple times - a no go.

It’s quite a journey to get to this resort, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. We were warmly welcomed by the team and the manager, accompanied by music and applause. After the reception and check-in, we were taken to our room by a cart. We stayed in an overwater villa — truly recommended! The villa had everything we needed, and the view was simply stunning. It also included a personal butler who was easily reachable via WhatsApp and ready to take care of anything we needed. The service was excellent: everyone was friendly and did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. Since we visited during the low season, the buffet was closed and we ate à la carte each day. Fortunately, the chef prepared the most delicious Indian dishes upon request, so we enjoyed amazing meals all week. We stayed for seven days. At first, I thought I might get bored after a few days since there isn’t much to do on the island besides snorkeling and excursions, but that wasn’t the case at all. It was wonderful to relax on our villa’s terrace with a beautiful view, enjoy the stunning beach, and walk around the lush island filled with colorful flowers and plants. It truly looks just like the magazines: white sandy beaches, blue water, and swaying palm trees! I would have gladly stayed a few more days. What a unique place!

We spent an unforgettable week at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, and every moment was perfect. The island itself is breathtaking — lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and swaying palms, with just the right amount of wildlife. It also boasts white sandy beaches and a rich marine life along the reef, although you need to swim a bit to reach it. From our villa, we were lucky to spot several types of rays and beautiful fish, though sadly we never managed to catch a glimpse of a turtle. Our water villa was absolutely breathtaking and looked almost brand new. The design was both elegant and modern, and the bath tub was truly the cherry on top. I originally wished for a pool, but that tub was honestly just as good, if not better. We chose this special week to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday, and the entire stay felt like a dream. The celebration began early in the morning under the watchful eye of Mauch, and our Island Host Nifaau surprised us with a magical experience under the stars. When we entered our water villa, my friend was speechless for the first time in her life — the villa’s beauty, elegance, and grandeur were almost surreal. Even now, we feel as if we were dreaming. Ahmed and Ayisha decorated the villa so thoughtfully that the moment became truly unforgettable. Every morning, breakfast at Turquoise was one of the highlights of our stay. We always sat at our favorite front-row table by the ocean, feet in the sand, enjoying delicious food and the warm, impeccable service of Mauch, Erna, Jezzika, and Jaube. Among many delicacies, I especially enjoyed my almond croissant with prosecco — always served ice-cold by the guys. They made every morning sweet and cheerful — Shukuriyaa to all of you. Our housekeeper Ahmed was truly exceptional — efficient, gentle, and incredibly kind. He kept our home-away-from-home perfectly tidy and never let us be without anything we needed or wished for. We adored him so much that we joked we’d happily bring him home with us. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the professional and incredibly helpful reception team, who were always ready to assist with anything we needed. Together with Nifaau, they arranged a late check-out for us and even surprised us with a complimentary dinner — a thoughtful gesture that made our stay feel even more special. Dining at the resort was consistently outstanding. • Veela Bar + Grill offered mouth-watering steaks and highly professional service — thank you, Sirlana and Akbar. • Thank you Yashu, Hafiz, Thallu. Soma and Symon for working so hard on the beach. • Tabemashu impressed us with exceptional food and service, and even surprised my friend with a birthday song and beautiful decoration. Thank you to the entire team for that wonderful moment. • La Vie quickly became our favorite bar, always joyful and welcoming. We loved spending our evenings there. A special thank you to Jayanta for crafting exquisitely balanced, premium cocktails — and to the lovely lady colleague who kindly advised against pairing white wine with ginger ale. Dj Mikhail surprised us with tunes that perfectly captured the freshest and most current trends. • Riviera served unforgettable lamb chops and delicious octopus — I still regret not ordering them again. What I don’t regret at all is having my favorite dessert after every meal: guava ice cream with Maldivian chili — the perfect sweet-and-spicy combination. The resort could further elevate the dining experience by offering a wider wine selection and making excellent use of a knowledgeable sommelier, which would harmonize beautifully with the otherwise gourmet culinary offering. The staff truly made our stay unforgettable. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. from breakfast to beach parties and special celebrations. Their attention to detail, genuine warmth, and dedication truly elevated our stay. Overall, Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa combines breathtaking natural beauty, luxurious villas, gourmet cuisine, and exceptional service. Our experience — especially the 50th birthday celebration — was beyond anything we could have imagined. We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a strong desire to return to this little piece of paradise.

Myself & my husband visited the beautiful Island in Maldives, hotel Le Meridien for 10 days. We had the best time! It truly was paradise, lovely accommodation, everyone was so helpful, couldn’t do enough for us! Having stayed at the unbelievable W Maldives we were unsure about trying somewhere different but on this occasion I figured why not as I put some points to good use. At every stage expectations were exceeded in terms of the arrivals, use of a dedicated lounge, early check in, upgrades as an Ambassador member and the general quality of the resort. The resort is older but feels well invested with a seemingly cast of thousands keeping it tidy. Restaurants are varied and of excellent quality. Turquoise undertook the buffet which was nothing new but did an excellent beach BBQ whilst we were there. Others are just plain outstanding - Waves, Riviera, Tabemasu and Velaa. A lot of variety. Staff are equally attentive and polite and very professional. A shout out to Abby at Turquoise, Ari at Riviera and Waves and the chefs at Velaa and Turquoise. They were all amazing. Housekeeping was punctual and thorough. We saw plenty of wildlife from the overwater villa - lion fish, massive rays and sharks. Recommendations: The All Inclusive is good value. Breakfast at waves is excellent. Only slight drawbacks / it’s a northern atoll so some excursions you can get from the others are not available here - whale sharks and mantas, but plenty on offer.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I are experienced travelers, and we’ve been all over the world. We decided to go here on our honeymoon and it surpassed all our expectations. From the first contact by hotel management and the check-in team, to the final farewell by the staff - there is never a moment when you are not absolutely loved and cared for. All your wants and needs are not only met, but surpassed. Everyone we talked to made us feel like the most important guests on the entire island; but that is just how amazing the staff are. As for the rooms - they’re unreal. The level of comfort is exactly what you expect from a Marriot property of this caliber. The over-water villas sit above the coral reefs so you can snorkel off your deck. We say hundreds of different tropical fish, all vibrant colors and sizes. Sea turtles, rays, and all sorts of vivid sea life. It’s surreal to wake up to. The food was a personal highlight for both my wife and I. She has a gluten allergy, and usually when we travel it can be an issue. But not here. We mentioned it once or twice at check in, and from that point on, every meal we had the staff knew about her allergy, and she was more than accommodated for. They’d bring her gluten free bread, make her special meals as needed, and ensured she was well taken care of. The beaches were immaculate, the vibes were amazing, the food was perfect, and the staff could not have been better. There are a few individuals that made this trip better than amazing though, and they deserve the recognition: - Erma - Mauch - Symon - Thallu - Srijana - Ahkbar - Chef Vamsi, Chef Devine, Pastry Chef Sanchit and all their incredible staffs And of course the two individuals who went farther above and beyond anything that could be expected: Abhi & Chef Pradeep To the entire staff of the Le Meridian Maldives - thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts.

Le Meridien Resort is absolutely blissful! The food is phenomenal! We did the all inclusive- which was worth it not to stress about the bill while on vacation but you can get by with half board. Riveria and Waves cafe for breakfast were our favorites. Lots of variety of food choices and every dish was exceptional! Now to the sea. We snorkeled most days sometimes twice a day for about an hour straight out and to the right from the end of the west end Villa pier. We got so very lucky! Had a National Geographic moment on our last day saw octopuses mating - followed by a close encounter with a reef shark- luckily he eventually swam away. The house reef is beyond amazing- clear, calm waters saw reef tip sharks, octopus - 4 total - morphing and changing colors and texture!, sea turtles, eagle ray, huge porcupine rays, so so many colorful fish - parrot fish, puffer fish (my favs!), squid! The overwater bungalows are a dream. We had perfect weather every day in the beginning of November. The staff were so attentive. Only downside vs other resorts is that the manta rays and whale sharks are not close - but I would choose this resort again in heart beat because of the phenomenal food, service and house reef. The jetski excursion to be up close to the dolphins was my favorite excursion! Also did jet skis to the nurse sharks and night snorkel where we were lucky enough to see bioluminescence! Highly recommend this resort again

Fantastic hotel, location, staff! Cannot fault our stay at all. Paradise with sun, sea and fabulous food. The staff cannot do more for you, in particular Chef Pradeep went above and beyond for us. Beyond hospitable. Chef Suraj and Chef Sanchit, also stood out. The wait staff in all the restaurants and at the pool couldn’t have been more brilliant or helpful, Mauch, Evi and Symon, were wonderful and there’s so many more members of the team that had such an impact. We loved that there a female DJ Playing incredible beats at the adults only bar. Made watching the sunsets even more magical. If you stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed!we can’t wait to come back

Our experience at Le Meridien Maldives was nothing short of amazing. The overwater villas are beautiful, the house reef is teaming with incredible fish at even relatively shallow depths, and the staff is very warm and attentive. Special mention to Pradeep for customizing pretty much every meal to suit our dietary preferences, to Nuttey for amazing diving & snorkeling experiences, and Avinash for checking in so promptly on whatever else we needed. Can’t wait to visit again- definitely recommend the property, great value and a lot to do!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Méridien Maldives. As our Stay Curator, Chef Pradeep looked after us with warm, attentive, and proactive care—checking on us regularly, offering thoughtful suggestions, and coordinating details that made everything feel effortless. Dinner at Velaa was a highlight: the steak was perfectly cooked and truly delicious. The sea was crystal clear and breathtaking, and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather throughout our stay. The star-filled night sky was an unexpected highlight and became one of our favorite memories. Heartfelt thanks to Chef Pradeep and the entire team for their outstanding hospitality. My massage therapist lita was incredibly skilled — the treatment was relaxing, rejuvenating, and exactly what I needed. The gentle ocean breeze and soothing sounds made it even more special. Nice hotel with good people. Of course exist some points for improving but excellent things much more. They have a new Padel court for all who likes play it is nice option.

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wanted to provide some constructive feedback along with some positive thoughts. The resort would benefit from an app instead of a website to make bookings. We found it frustrating having to refer back to the website each day and sometimes the information regarding restaurant opening hours was incorrect. I am Celiac, which means I cannot eat gluten. The Nachos on the menu at Velar suggest they are gluten free. This is incorrect. I fell quite unwell eating them. It would have also been helpful to know that some of the ingredients in the food on the menu can be adjusted to be gluten free. I did not know this at the beginning of our stay and so I felt very restricted by what I could eat in the restaurants. The buffet in Tourquoise also does not label what has gluten in it. A glass of champagne would have been appreciated upon arrival under the canopy when we got off the sea plane which we have experienced at other resorts in the Maldives. We also think the bicycles/padel & tennis should be complimentary and awarded to each room. Other than that all of the staff were incredibly warm, helpful and eager to please and accommodate all of our requests. Hadee in Water Sports made our stay extra special with his knowledge of marine life, taking care of our goggles and fins, finding us dolphins on our jet ski tour, taking videos and photos of us and looking after us whilst snorkeling with sharks. Please thank him for us. A special mention to Ziyaam, the waiter in Le Vie, he was incredibly attentive throughout our stay making sure we had enough drinks, always with a smile. We wish him all the best and thank him for great service. Our spa treatment was one of the best we have ever had and a special mention to Khan. Pradeep was our stay curator (butler), he kindly made me a gluten free packed lunch to take to the airport. He also ensured we had a special dining experience on our last night which we were not expecting. It was greatly appreciated. The food was the best out of every resort we have been to. Thank you

We had an incredible stay at Le Meridien Maldives! This trip was extra special because it was my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. I ended up with four different birthday cakes and three separate birthday serenades from various teams it was the sweetest surprise. We stayed in Room 246, which had a private pool and stunning views. The room was a bit farther from the main restaurant, but we didn’t mind it gave us an excuse to ride bikes everywhere, which became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We enjoyed karaoke nights and loved listening to Stella perform live she has such a beautiful voice. The ladies at Turquoise restaurant were so kind and attentive, and the food was always delicious. A special thank you to Ali at the front desk. He helped us from check in through our entire stay and made sure everything went smoothly. His kindness and attention to detail really stood out. Overall, our experience was absolutely wonderful. Le Meridien Maldives exceeded every expectation, and I’d go back in a heart beat!!

Our stay at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa was truly unforgettable! We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa with my kids, and it was absolutely perfect. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views — and the private pool quickly became everyone’s favorite spot! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially Mr. Maadh, whose warm hospitality and personal touch made our stay even more special. This resort is a fantastic choice for families with kids. Everything from the food to the activities was thoughtfully planned to suit all ages. We have been to several resorts in Maledives and this was the best house reef experience. We stayed at 247, two bedroom villa, that had amazing snorkling just from the steps of the ’End of the pier’. The reef was 180m away, so you could swim there and back on your own. We saw every day sting rays, reef sharks and other beautiful fish. Coral not so much. Rubis was giving us so great work out with Hari. We really appreciate your skills and professional touch. Also paddle court was handy 60$/h. in the evening. Every morning complementary 8o’clock exercise was wonderful. We just loved the bikes! It was so relaxing to ride along the island. The pier was 400m each and the island around 1km. Jamel, thank you for taking so good care of our villa, Yusuf and Abby at the breakfast and Alibaba at Riviera. Amir was amazing at Vela. Izam, you made our holiday extra special in Tabemasu! And great thanks to all of you, whose name I forgot to mention! We had full board, that I warmly recommend. This resort is absolutely top-notch in every way! My husband and I returned here for the second time in the last six months - the first time we spent our honeymoon here, and it was truly the best experience we’ve ever had, even though we’ve been to the Maldives several times before. The island itself is stunning - lush, green, and beautifully maintained. The villas are spacious, elegant and kept in perfect condition. We genuinely felt like welcomed guests throughout our entire stay. The food is simply outstanding - every single meal was incredible. It was amazing! Definitely coming back Being vegetarian, all the chefs were great and made special meals for us. Thank you specially to Pradeep, Suraj who made us very comfortable and Abhishek, Kristina and Aapaa from the support crew. All the food was amazing, and i don't say this lightly each meal was one of the bests we have had in our lives. The ingrediencies were fresh and some grown on the island. Went at the end of September to the beginning of October 2025 for a week with my family and had a great experience. Someone was waiting for us at the airport and managed the luggage and the tickets for our flight to the island. At the island we had a big greeting contingent, making us feel at ease right away. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. You have a lot of privacy, while you realize there are more guests during breakfast for the rest of the day you feel you have the whole place for yourself. The water is warm and shallow, the coral reef area is amazing to explore at your leisurely pace, full of wildlife from exotic fishes, turtles and manta rays. While you can simply relax all day, there are also a lot of actitivities from sunset yoga (which was a great experience), to bingo night (always fun) and biking around the island. The buffet breakfast was delicious with options for every palate and taste and you have several restaurants to choose from for the other meals. The staff was also top notch, with a great host like chef Pradeep, and always greeted you with a big smile (shoutout to Ali), always asked if they could do anything for you and remembered our names or preferences at second encounters. The place was very much alive, we encountered countless geckos and numerous tiny crabs in their tiny shells at the beach. We had a splendid and very relaxed vacation. Would highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next vacation there.

My wife and i really enjoyed, this is our 2nd time here for our anniversary. And every time it’s unforgettable memory. Such a nice place full with positive energy and relaxing vibes. All the staff were very helpful and special thanks to Mr Ali who was taking a very good care of us during our stay.

It is our 2nd time staying at Le méridien. We are very happy back again. Room and view are still the same comparing to 3 years ago. The service is even better. We notice some positive changes. The arrival lounge at Male seaplane port is very nice after a long trip. There are live singing performances almost every night at La Vie bar or Velaa restaurant. We love it. The food and drinks are great as always. Special thanks to the amazing staff who make our trip memorable. Ali baba made a special birthday decoration at the Tabemasu restaurant. Chef Pradeep and his team created a special poolside dinner for our last night. Chef Muthu surprised us with personalized dishes and made delicious French toast. Thanks to Emma, Mauch, Akbar, Abby, and Thallu who knew our routine and made the dining experience enjoyable. Thanks to Bimit and Ashfaan who made our villa clean and neat. Also, thanks Aru who was helpful and informative even though he wasn’t assigned to our room. And lastly, thanks to Jennifer who generously upgraded our villa and made the birthday trip so special.

Perfect scenery, friendly staff, and smooth operations — everything about our stay was flawless! Among all the wonderful staff, Ali stood out the most. His attentiveness and care in every detail made our trip truly unforgettable. We are deeply grateful to him. Choosing this hotel was the best decision we could’ve made — our whole family, including the kids, was absolutely delighted!

Overall a great experience from start to finish. What we went well: - pre-booking and pre-arrival: Though it took some back and forth, always got quick and thorough answers. - airport transfers and lounges: We arrived the night before (around 9:30) and stayed in Male. Got the first flight to the resort the next morning (7:30AM), maximizing our first day. - beautiful, trouble free arrival: Even though we arrived much sooner than normal check-in, we were able to relax, eat, and drink at Turquoise, get a tour of the island, and ultimately check-in quite early (10:30AM). - the room: We stayed in a sunrise overwater villa (#225, right in the middle of the west jetty) for easier access to the house reef and “adult” end of the island. It’s wonderful how easy it is to see out but almost impossible to see in (except at night). Sparsely decorated but well appointed and comfortable room with incredible views from both the bedroom and the shower/bath. - the food and drinks: We did the all inclusive package and really enjoyed for the most part though I’m not sure we would do it again (for reasons below). Overall great food and some nice drinks/juices and not just for “resort food"; as compared to all of our travels. Tabemasu and Velaa were our clear favorites. - the staff: Very kind and very responsive. Easy and quick communication via WhatsApp (our preferred method of communicating). Loved learning more about local culture/life from the locals working at the resort. What was exceptional - the snorkeling: It was our first time snorkeling and I'm not sure we could've chosen a better place. The house reef was incredible, over 800 meters long. And that doesn't include some great snorkeling around the east jetty and grass beds as well. Swam with innumerable species of fish (also lots of "fish soup" as I've heard it called), including black tip reef sharks, different rays, octopus, and sea turtles. Met German couple in their 30's who were avid snorkelers/scuba divers and they noted how great it was as well. This was their second time at Le Meridien (and 10th time in the Maldives) - the spa: My wife had two massages with Lhamo and said it's the best she's ever had. She also loved the pre-massage relaxation and the overall atmosphere of the spa. - jet ski/snorkeling excursion: I took the 2 hour jet ski and nurse shark/sea turtle excursion. The guides, Mega and Nifou, were great. Brand new Yamaha wave runners were a blast. Snorkeled for about 45 minutes with as many as 15-20 nurse sharks, some quite large (about 3 meters). Then traveled to two other reefs/coral formations to snorkel with sea turtles and rays. - Nuttey and Alex at the water sports: Nuttey took time to share a lot about snorkeling at the resort and about local life in general. Alex (scuba instructor/guide), gave me a scuba trial, making it simple and easy to understand and also took time to speak more about his passion for scuba and travels. - Mauch: While all the staff were helpful and courteous, Mauch was particularly kind and attentive. His service stood out to us. Some areas for improvement - all inclusive package: Our only disappointment was the refilling of the in-room minibar. First, it wasn't refilled everyday, especially if we didn't ask. Second, it wasn't varied or particularly nice, especially the food (just the same plain Lay's potato chips, some strange peanuts, and two chocolate bars). - desserts: while we loved most all of the other food, there were only a couple of desserts that we really enjoyed. The ice cream (and sometimes the sorbet) was very icy, like it was thawed and refrozen or scooped out and then frozen first. Other desserts also felt like they had been frozen (not fresh). - need more pork: they serve pork belly as mains, but no pork bacon and or ham for breakfast, burgers, etc. It's already non-halal with the presence of the pork, so please go all in (especially when I'm coming from Saudi Arabia and looking forward to it). - mixed alcoholic drinks: they are quite watered down like many others have mentioned in reviews. - the swinging closet doors: yes it's trivial but so annoying and unnecessary Even with the possible improvements, we still give it 5 stars and would love to return sometime in the future!

What a wonderful resort! This was our first visit to the Maldives and we couldn't have been happier than with our decision to stay at Le Meridien. September seemed to be the 'off season' or rainy season but we only had a couple of short showers so it didn't matter at all. We primarily enjoyed our time at the pool, snorkeling and enjoying the different restaurant choices. We chose the All Inclusive package. We aren't big drinkers or eat a large amount but it was nice to not worry about the prices and be able to try different restaurants without worrying about the cost. Shout out to Soma and Symon serving up drinks at the beach. Abby and Erma at Turquoise were so nice and remembered us everyday. Our villa was lovely and our stay was amazing! Thanks to all the staff at Le Meridien.

It was really good experience staying for the first time at Maldives with Le Meridian resort. It is a comparatively new resort and great value of services provided. Very friendly welcome and positive relaxing atmosphere made by the personnel, perfect beach villas with garden pool and lots of opportunities to diversify your vacation - sunset fishing, spa, diving, etc. Lovely vacation! In particular, would like to point out Mr. Rishab Katwal for his attentiveness to details and willingness to help and the most positive and responsible guys from the villa support team who ensured our comfort and cleanliness of the stay - Mr. Rimah and Mr. Ali Hussain. From the moment we arrived at Malé Airport, our stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa has been nothing short of exceptional. Arrival & Transfer We were greeted at the airport by a friendly staff member holding a sign, who guided us seamlessly through the check-in for the seaplane. Even though one of our smaller bags pushed us slightly over the individual allowance, the staff handled it with kindness and professionalism, balancing everything across our family’s total allowance. The transfer to the lounge (shared with The Westin) was smooth; we enjoyed a quick coffee and even had the chance to shower before boarding our flight with Trans Maldivian Airways. The scenic seaplane ride was comfortable, and to our son’s delight, he was even invited to sit in the cockpit with the pilot for a photo after landing a memory we will cherish forever. On arrival at the island, we were welcomed with drums, smiles, and an ice-cold drink. Check-in was refreshingly stress-free: no credit card requested, no transactional feel, just genuine hospitality. Because we had booked all-inclusive in advance, everything was arranged. This set the tone for our entire stay. Accommodation We stayed in a Beach Villa, which was the perfect choice with a toddler. Spacious, beautifully maintained, with both an outdoor coverd traditional shower and a Balinese-style outdoor shower. A baby bath and other thoughtful amenities for our son were provided. The minibar was good it was replenished daily with soft drinks, juices, and beer. In addition, there were larger bottles of spirits such as gin, whisky, rum, and wine, which (although we don’t drink alcohol ourselves) were a generous touch and were restocked every four days. Twice-daily housekeeping and turndown service kept everything immaculate. From our patio, tucked just behind some shrubbery that offered natural privacy from the beach, we could step directly onto our own stretch of sand, complete with two loungers and a parasol. Morning swims together quickly became our favorite ritual. Dining Dining at Le Méridien exceeded our expectations on every level. Turquoise quickly became our go-to for breakfast. The quality is outstanding: croissants taste like true French croissants, donuts are authentic, and crêpes are made to perfection. Breakfasts and dinners were a joy thanks to the genuine warmth of the staff. A very special thank you to Erma, who was wonderful with our son often taking him by the hand, allowing us a rare quiet moment to sip our coffee or enjoy an omelette. He absolutely adored her. We also want to mention Mauch, who was consistently attentive and friendly. On our last evening, the team went above and beyond, setting a beautifully decorated table on the sand for us, making it a truly unforgettable farewell dinner. Velaa Bar + Grill offered our most memorable dining experiences. Chef Pradeep personally created a tasting menu just for us, moving it forward a night since the restaurant would be closed on our last evening. From a refined tuna tartare and creamy truffle pasta for our son, to a Wagyu steak with pumpkin purée and foie gras, and spectacular tandoori-marinated lamb chops, it was all next-level cuisine. Desserts included a Piña Colada-inspired sponge cake and a Valrhona chocolate lava cake that was out of this world. Service by Soma was flawless warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Even at lunch, we enjoyed shawarma wraps, sliders, pizza, and fish tacos by the pool. While we also tried Tabemasu, the Japanese restaurant, and enjoyed it, we found Turquoise and Velaa suited our family best. Service & People The heart of Le Méridien Maldives is its people. Having Nifaau as our premier point of contact was invaluable from giving us a buggy tour upon arrival, to arranging reservations, answering every WhatsApp quickly, and even helping when we misplaced our villa key. His professionalism and friendliness made our stay effortless. Asaf, the F&B Manager, was always approachable and made sure everything ran smoothly, particularly for families. At the pool and beach, Simon constantly checked in with a smile, kept our drinks topped up, and even polished my sunglasses small but unforgettable gestures. Every single team member we met carried the same genuine warmth and hospitality. Experiences The Explore Spa, perched over the water, is breathtaking. My Balinese massage was excellent, made even more special by the glass floor panel through which I could watch fish swim beneath me. The house reef is accessible. In just one swim I encountered stingrays and colorful fish, while other guests spotted turtles and reef sharks further out. The complimentary photo shoot was a unique touch. We received a printed photo free of with the option to purchase more For children, the Kids’ Club looked fantastic, with slides and indoor play areas, and even pizza workshops for little ones. Our son preferred the pool, so we didn’t use it, but we met one of the nannies who was incredibly friendly and reassuring. The beach and grounds are meticulously maintained. Every morning, gardeners remove seaweed to keep the sand pristine. It’s truly a barefoot paradise no need for shoes all week. A tip: bring water shoes for the beach, as the coral in the sand and sea shells can be sharp. Departure & Final Impressions Even the departure was handled smoothly. We received a clear letter with our seaplane schedule, and the team accommodated our request to leave after lunch. It was managed perfectly within the seaplane company’s schedule, another example of how the resort fine-tunes details to guests’ wishes. We left with only one regret: not staying longer. In hindsight, with the efficiency of the resort, we could easily have stayed until the day of our international flight. Conclusion Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa is the paradise we had been searching for. Not cheap but absolutely worth it and refreshingly affordable compared to many alternatives in the Maldives, while still delivering true luxury. The attention to detail, the high quality of food, the thoughtful amenities, and above all, the genuine smiles and care from the staff made our holiday unforgettable. We are a newlywed couple who came to the Maldives for the first time. We chose this hotel. The service is very good. All the hotel facilities are very complete. We were very surprised by the honeymoon package. The housekeeper Maadh Abdulla was very considerate and helped us book a restaurant and all kinds of entertainment. Most of the food in the restaurant is appetizing, and it is advertised that organic ingredients are used. Everything is very beautiful, except that our English is too poor, so we can't understand the service staff most of the time.

Where do I even begin with Le Meridian Maldives… From the moment my wife and I stepped off the sea plane we were welcomed with hospitality, kindness, and a genuine willingness to help us with anything we needed. Every single thing about this resort far surpassed our expectations. The room, the activities, the service, the beaches, the wildlife, the cleanliness, the excursions, the food, all 10/10. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and were upgraded from a sunrise view to a sunset view, which was amazing. The water off the back deck is stunning, and you will see much wildlife from your own villa. Some of our favorite things about Le Meridian include: the Ray Bay excursion, the coconut ice cream at Le scoop, the baths that the housekeeper would draw for us, dining at Velaa,(particularly the 1000g tomahawk cooked by head chef Pradeep) visiting the gift shop to look at their hundreds of hand painted items for sale, the sushi at Tabemasu, visiting the spa for a relaxing massage etc. There are truly too many good things about this place to write here. The people that work here are very kind hearted and special people. The hospitality is unmatched, but it also feels so genuine. It was so fun getting to know them over the course of our time here. I’ll try to list some of the ones that made a lasting impact on us but I may miss a few. I want to thank Ishaal, Pradeep, Symon, Adam, Ari, Hafiz, Ceasar, Yassi, Erma, and Soma for making our honeymoon the very best! All of these people are just absolutely wonderful, but in reality all the staff are amazing and deserve to be recognized for their work and service. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.
