Overall was a great place to stay. only bit pricey, but really worth with the rooms, facilities and locations/

Bit difficult to register and pay again with the agent there, as they said our order with booking.com not for payment. so we have to pay there directly.

Great location and a warm, comfortable stay, with electric blankets on all the beds and plenty of hot water. It would also be a great spot for stargazing, though unfortunately it was cloudy during our stay. It was nice and quiet that night.

The key collection was not easy and it was confusing. The reception is a residential house with multiple entrances and there was no clear signage for the property or check-in. We had to look for the street number to figure out where to go. No one was there when we arrived, so we had to call the host and wait for someone to come. The staff were friendly, though, and the cute cat kept us company while we waited. I wasn’t too unhappy with the experience(because of the cat) but the check-in process could definitely be improved. If the check-in information states that check-in is available from 3pm to 6pm, it would be helpful to have someone there during those hours. The kitchen was also lacking in cooking utensils, and most of the pots were scratched and looked quite old, leaving us with only the small pot to cook with. Replacing the worn-out cookware would be a good improvement. It would also be good to clearly mention that the drying function on the washing machine is not working.

Washing facilities and clean

We stayed on a long weekend for one night. It had snowed and access to the unit was difficult through the snow and ice. There was a blackout the night we stayed. We had to go to an office to pay before details of property were supplied. This was hard in the snow and the manager was not at home. She came after 9pm requesting payment.

Beds were too firm.

New, clean and warm property. Nice bathrooms and location. Heatpump had the property warm for our arrival. Heaters for each bedroom. Electric blankets on the beds. A nice touch was a wee gift of biscuits and a couple of souvenirs. The snow was cleared from the driveway.

Kitchen utensils/cooking were lacking some basics - an update would make a huge difference. No face cloths? A few more games/puzzles etc in the cupboard wouldn't go astray. We asked about access a number of times prior to our visit, and received no confirmation so had to go 'to the office' first, only to be told that wasn't necessary. This was a little bit annoying given the weather was challenging to be out in and driving/parking was difficult.

Great location and very pretty views from house. House was very nice in terms of layout and design.

Not very clean e.g., a dirty damp towel was still on the back of a bedroom door. Lots of house rules to follow, plastered everywhere including no shoes in the house, which is very unreasonable. Felt as though we had to clean the whole house before checking out based on these rules. Not great access or parking to the property, very slippery and not easy to get luggage to the front door from all the snow etc. Check in was AWFUL. No clear instructions on where to go, very unprofessional.

Being the middle of winter we enjoyed how warm it was. It was a great size for 3 adults and 2 children. Location was great, we did have trouble seeing the numbers in the dark. Lovely and quiet.

Nowhere to store food? I may have missed a cupboard. No face cloths with the towels which made washing face a difficult task in the en-suite. Used? (Not sure) towels in the wardrobe, they weren’t folded so guessing they were used. Sticky unwashed cocktail glass in cupboard.

Check in process where key need to be picked up from a residential house was unprofessional. The pick up house was very messy and although staff were pleasant it didn't leave a good experience regarding the state of the accommodation.

Great accommodation, close enough to Lake Tekapo to be able to drive down to watch the early morning sunrise. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Thanks

Good space for 6 people

Need more kitchen utensils. Husband burned his hand when using the oven mitt, it needs to be replaced.

We liked the view from the back, the kitchen was sufficiently equipped but comparative to the houses we stayed in and considering the price we paid for it, the dishes and everything were very limited.

We asked for an extra bed and they gave us one sofa which was slanting and reclined on the floor, nobody could have slept on it. Attaching the picture. They charged us $80 for the bed which wasn't usable even for sitting down. I emailed but no reply or acknowledgement. The rooms were opening on the road so couldn't open the curtains much. There are all BnBs where this property is located. When we got out at the back, neighbours were almost with us so I did not find this property private at all, spl considering the prices I don't think it's worth it. Unfortunately rear view faced digging machines in action and there were a few snagging issues like loose fittings. Would have been helpful to have a full sized mirror in 1 room if possible. In the dark a bit hard to find as not lit

The location was central and easy to get to town centre.

There was an unpleasant oily/food smell through the house which lingered the whole time during our stay. Cleanliness and maintenance of the house can also be improved given the price point.

The accommodation itself was acceptable.

After check-out, our AirPods were left behind. We were told multiple times that nothing was found, but the location tracking showed them at the housekeeper’s accommodation where payment was made, and the AirPods appeared to be in use. This made us feel very uncomfortable.

Dishwasher machine didn’t fully complete wash cycle.guest has to wash the dishes by hand. Master room hair dryer is not working. Housekeeping team should ensure all appliances are in good condition before guest check in .

The views were the best!

Just bring extra sugar or coffee if you like those hot drinks, the accomodation doesn't provide many. Or probably i was just unlucky!

This is a mazing stay with excellent view and the house design are very good. We have a wonderful experience with this stays and look forward to the next time if come to Tekapo again, I will visit this stays again!

No thing can complain

Nice and clean! 3 bedroom with a spacious living room. Coffee Machine is a nice touch! We love the ceiling window which allows us have a star gazing while sitting at home. You can see nice pind view by sitting next to window!

The 3 bedroom unit we stayed only has 2 bathroom. But it is clearly mentioned in listing details, so nothing to complaon.

Everything! Zicky is really friendly and accommodating. Crescent Moon is cosy and has everything we needed for a 2 nights stay.

Some minor issues with leaking/clogged sink in the guest toilet but does not affect our stay at all!

Maison spacieuse, propre et agréable, avec une belle vue. Check-in en ligne un peu complexe (demande de photo de passeport). Un peu éloignée des restaurants et quelques petits manques en cuisine. En hiver, prévoir que le chauffage n’est pas allumé à l’arrivée.

Some kitchen utensils were broken, only one towel in main bedroom and with only one sofa there wasn’t enough space for everyone to be seated together.

Dishwasher wasn’t working, neither was the toaster. Check in was a bit rushed.

Location was good, apartment was awesome! Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the view was amazing!! we got to see the beautiful stars from the apartment balcony on the second night! Supermarkets within walking distance.

Heaters were not working in the room. The manager changed the heaters and was in a hurry and left without without even checking if the new one was working or not. To our disappointment even the changed one was not working.

Good location. The property is very spacious and staff is helpful on answering questions. Highly recommended!

The entire home was very clean, with excellent soundproofing. For Tekapo, it’s a great value accommodation. The rooms are spacious, and the host paid attention to small details, even providing slippers and a power adapter. The host was also very kind—when we arrived, there was heavy rain, and we had nowhere to go. We really appreciated being allowed to check in early.

The numbering was slightly confusing when trying to find the property: it was Unit 3 of 9a but working that out when driving by was tricky. Only added 3 minutes to arrival, so not a big deal. For Lake Tekapo, be aware that restaurants can close a bit early (20:30-21:00) if you were thinking of arriving late.

The showers were great and the layout of the property lovely.

Little bit of extra dusting could have been used, particularly dusty headboard in bedroom, the remote for the tv was very temperamental and didn't work easily.

The property is very clean , have private parking lot just infront , wifi is pretty good but sometimes restart on its own Have heater on beds and even the toilet have its own heater

The couch is placed in awkward position

A lovely host met us at the house and gave us a code to access the door. Gave us tips for local activities and restaurants and shops nearby.

On the foil inside the oven trays on the first night, there was still greasy, fatty food debris from the previous guest, which spelt. Evidently, the housekeeper neglected to check the oven. The kids' bathroom's adjustable handheld shower was held together by a straggling piece of blue yarn rather than being repaired or fitted correctly.  Just general maintenance was not done overall, which was a shame being such a lovely little house to stay in.

Friendly hosts. The house had everything we needed. Nice views of the mountains. Would definitely stay again!
