Reviewed Sep 1, 2026The apartment is so spacious, very light, bright and welcoming. Loved the private terrace area, the whole place is extremely well equipped, comfortable ad ideal for a longer stay. Parking is right by the front door which makes it so easy with luggage to carry in. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, the extra firewood that Geoff brought over for the wood burner was much appreciated as a cold spell hit that weekend. The location was perfect for us, in a quiet neighbourhood, and close to restaurants, the Constantia vineyards and Hout bay. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Angie & Geoff.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026The cottage was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. It was the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and make some wonderful memories. We especially appreciate the care and attention that has clearly gone into creating such a special space.

No window covering on west facing French doors. Cottage like a hot box from midday into evening on warm days( we had a week’s heatwave) Shower was temperamental. Temperature and pressure varied quite significantly depending on usage in adjacent house. One day, no water came out at all. Bathroom located across the living-dining room from bedroom and down a 4 meter passage. Not good for late night bathroom visits or if you have a tummy bug! Cleaning was an added extra as opposed to 3 other places I was in during my stay in CT where it was included and which involved clean plus rubbish removal In this property I was required to put out rubbish and recycling and change bin liners. Im not a princess and do this at home obviously, but was surprised to find I had to attend to rubbish in a holiday cottage where fresh linen and towels were being provided weekly. Couldn’t rubbish be handled at the same time?

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026Alles was fantastisch. De cottage is prachtig, zeer ruim en erg compleet uitgerust. De bedden sliepen lekker. Het terras lekker voor de ochtend koffie. De locarie is super centraal en dicht in de buurt van verschillende wijngaarden. De communicatie met de eigenaren verliep soepel. Zij waren ook erg behulpzaam en flexibel.
Ik zou het. niet kunnen bedenken,alles was meer dan prima

Our flight arrived early, and they kindly accommodated us with an early check-in, which we greatly appreciated. The place was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The location was convenient and peaceful, making our trip even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Maroon Belles to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and well-kept place to stay. I would definitely return.

Reviewed Apr 1, 2024The guest cottage is much larger than it appears on the pictures and very tastefully decorated. Even with a little private outdoor area. The live saving coffee pods were another added extra. My hosts went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay even making sure I had hot water in the middle of the night so I could shower before my early departure.
The cottage was very tastefully decorated, but most likely done so by a woman: there was no mirror above the sink so shaving is a bit tricky.
