Lovely room with a phenomenal view. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location. I wish I’d had longer!
Bathroom taps need new washers and the loo cistern drips, but these are very minor complaints. I had a lovely stay.
The location is very close to the train station and town loveltplaces to eat out
The shower was too small 😩 floor creeks a lot. The door was difficult to open 😑 until I got hang of it
Great location , motorbike parking
Nothing
Beds were really comfy and clean
No hot water when I had a shower in the morning
Everything was fine
The question of parking was if concern to us but the situation was sorted for us and we were really pleased
The location

Great view of the sea. Staff posted us clothes our that were left behind, thank you very much.
We asked for Seaview and we got that it was just accross the road, brilliant nice quiet location, but not far from centre only 5 minutes walk.staff we're extremely helpful, we extended our stay an extra night,no complications doing that.Very good mini break overall..thank you sue and Paul.
Situation was very good for me. Staff were very helpful and friendly
The location was perfect for walking around the town. I didn't have the breakfast as I don't eat that early in the day
It was very noisy. The staff in the Indian restaurant downstairs had an argument and were banging pans about. Every time someone went to their room, the door slammed
Location room was clean and view to the sea prom great
Receiption needs updating
Well situated. Lovely outlook from Bedroom. Helpful obliging staff.
Hotel extremely hot & airless. Lift exceptionally hot & uncomfortable. Bathroom mirror too high, and toilet hard to flush because of where handle was situated. Small things easily rectified. Was extremely impressed with cleanliness of Marine Parade. Most of the time, not a scrap of litter to be seen, despite lots of visitors & locals using the area extensively.
Easy walk into the village Clean ,comfortable and given a warm welcome
Parking may be an issue depending on the month you stay, we were able to park outside so no long walk to carry cases into hotel
Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and and enjoyable not too expensive bar,but I think the sea view rooms the thing to make you return
Only a 2 night stay so nothing to dislike you
good location opposite beach. Bedding was clean fortunately or would not have stayed.
top floor needs serious refurb. No number on door a room opposite open with broken furniture. Badly decorated. Facilities poor.
The room wasgrate nice clear sea veiwes ⁶
Nothing all was grate
Great location, nice sea view rooms.
None
The room we got was horrible and we got the room no 18 which literally is next to the store room. None of the things in the room was appropriate except beds.In shower room the towel rod was came into my hand and while I am trying to close the window the window handle fallen off.and the generators sound was horrible all the night as this room was located at the back side of the hotel and which is next to generators.we couldn’t get sleep all the night. This hotel is one of the worst experiences I had so far in my entire 8 days of wales trip.I personally don’t recommend this hotel to any one.
Nice place at the waterfront, but too expensive for the standard of the rooms. We wouldn't habe come if it wasn't for our first visit after 38 years to commemorate the beginning of our releationship.
Too expensive for the standard presented.
location
Noise from kitchen late into the night , and started again early in morning . Breakfast was costly and cheapest of ingredients used . Staff not that friendly .
Typical friendly seaside hotel. Refurbished bedroom with lovely view. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff
Bedrooms dated. Curtains did not meet
Lovely position opposite the beach
Our room was a rear family room. Windows really rotten and tatty. Beds not very good. No bedside tables or lamps/accessible lighting.
The hotel was friendly, clean and tidy, and had everything we needed for our stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and the location was brilliant — close to everything in Barmouth and easy to get around on foot. It was our first time staying here and we thought it was excellent value for money, especially for the price. We’d definitely recommend it.
Nothing really. For the price we paid, we couldn’t fault it. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
It was clean and the staff very friendly
The tv in the room the channels was not working
Great location. Dog friendly. Clean. Comfortable.
The divan bed base could probably do with some attention but luckily didnt affect the quality of sleep.
Perfect location
Dainty hotel
The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were great

Beds were very uncomfortable
There is always a warm welcome from the friendly and helpful staff.

Albergo vecchio .
The staff were friendly
Ensuite door did not shut, door closing mechanism had been removed. Towel holder hanging off wall. Large dirty stain on carpet. Room painted terribly, paint on door furniture and carpet. Curtain partly hanging off. Room very dated. Written complaint about this directly to the hotel has been ignored
Clean and friendly excellent breakfast
Staff friendly happy to share local knowledge. Appeared clean.
Room at the back, terrible view. didn't mind being on the top floor. Just looking out was not a holiday view. The bathroom floor looked very tired and stained. Very cheap toilet seat. There wasn't a hook or shelving in the bathroom. Shower temp was inconsistentt a concern having mygrandkids with me. The bath panel cracked. Stripped my bed, the pillows didn't have a hygiene cover. These cost so little, really surprised and not happy sleeping on a used pillow. The quilt was disgusting the staines, told the kids not to strip, there's and hid mine from them, embarred I had taken them somewhere like that. I have taken photos of the bedding stains.
Great seafront location
Location
Room was tiny ,no headboard , very dated could do with a freshen up , didnt like the pre order breakfast to decide soon as you walked in also room wasnt ready said be another half hr in which we waited over that time nobody came to say if was ready so went up to check ourselfs
Plenty of entertainment and good staff
It was all good
The location was good
The room we got was hidden away and honestly, the hotel had very bad signage/guidance to help find it. The room was small, the bathroom had carpeted floors, very outdated furnishing/bathroom, the floorboards were very creeky, shelves/hooks for hanging looked like they were going to fall off. It was fine as we were staying just for the night but would not want to go back.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone with dogs. He says he's dog friendly but after you pay the day before the accommodation he sends you the rules for dogs. My curiosity is how a couple with a dog can enjoy a stay when they are not allowed with the dog in a restaurant, bar and leave him alone in the room while they eat.
Everything, amazing sea view 🥹 , the staff 10/10 , very friendly and helpful . The room was clean and spacious.
Location
Shabby looking carpet, floor makes creaking sound. One bed mat spring gone, very uncomfortable to sleep, no lock system in the shower door, separate hot & cold water tap in basin, towel rack unfixed. Sticky bathroom floor. Very poor.
Ligging
Geluid, de bedden, de uitstraling van de kamer.
Clean room friendly helpful staff
Dated decor,.
Really great location, and the room was very tidy, comfortable and came stocked with teas, coffees, bottled water and some biscuits. Also the lady at reception gave me some great recommendations on places to eat and visit while in town. I didnt make use of the bar/restaurant but it was nice to know they had events on there too.
great location, easy check in. friendly staff, big room fully stocked very easy check out
room has rickety floor and low ceiling banged my head as I was getting out of bed..... but overall was good
Location of hotel was excellent as we travelled by train. Kids enjoyed games room. Beach access was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice to see bottled water in the room.
Breakfast was ok, limited. No pastries or granola/museli. Also no hot chocolate or porridge options. Family room was dated and the plug sockets were taped together, which was a safety issue. Would be nice to have more options at breakfast.

It was marvelous
It was very clean
The view out of the front of the hotel was lovely, my view was pretty gross if I'm honest, soil stack pipes covered in bird poop and a grotty flat roof covered in building debris - Not much to like here at all.
The smell from the Indian Restaurants extractor system was not a nice smell, thankfully it only lasted until midnight or so! The bed was thin with no comfort, the room was boiling hot which is surprising as it was only 21c that day. The bathroom was not clean, sealant had grime all over it, hairs around the room where everywhere. Don't get me wrong, some of the bathroom was new ish looking but it needed a complete overhaul, as did the room, the very wonky floorboards, all the room doors slammed shut and worst off which is kind of to be expected is the seagulls. As it was so hot you had to leave the windows open which made my sleep very poor.
Very good service and nice and friendly staff we had lovely time in sandbank thanks to all of you 🙂
Sea view, helpful friendly staff
Dog friendly hotel , bio says has parking but that is only if you can get a free street one or in pay and display. Could hear neighbours creaky floorboards voices etc. Big gap under door meant could hear people clearly un corridor. Price for a basic room.
The location was fabulous, being opposite the beach and a short walk into Barmouth. The bar area was a decent size with sea views. Free street parking was a bonus. Big room as it was a family room, so plenty of storage. Plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water.
We stayed in a family room (3 adult friends) there were 2 single beds and a double. The single bed nearest the window needs a new mattress, as it was worn out and uncomfortable, at least we were able to use the double bed. Mugs would be better than the small cups. Could've done with another bedside table and lamp between the double bed and single bed. Could've done with a light as you walk into the hallway of the room, by the bathroom and toilet.
Would like to thank the staff for changing our room at the last minute as my mum couldn’t climb the stairs ,also helped with our bags .We had a triple room very spacious & a good size en suite Very friendly staff, Breakfast was delicious, even catered for me being Gluten Free.
The location
Outdated room including carpet inside the toilet and shower area
The Sandbanks is a fabulous looking building on the seafront in Barmouth. The staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, functional with a great refurbished bathroom. A good stock of drinks making products. A lovely made to order breakfast in a nice bar/ restaurant area. The location is the value for money with this property as the beach is literally over the road and it stunning especially with the back drop of the pretty village and Welsh hills. A fabulous stay, with fantastic hosts.
Nothing.
Staff are so lovely and welcoming second time we've stayed and they are so helpful
We have enjoyed both our stays , British seaside hotel , reasonably priced large rooms for family. Has all your basic facilities it's a hotel for you to have a good brekkie in, a good sleep and a drink and some fun at the end of the night before bed.
Closeness to the sea and facilities
No hotel parking Street parking was tight
Wonderful staff very knowledgeable bd great views
Was lovely and clean nice and close to everything you need and the staff was very nice and helpful
Everthing
Clem friendly very kind
The manager of the property Paul and Sue very friendly nice breakfast lovely they will help you with everything
Conveniently located near the train station and just a stone throw away from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Room basic but more than adequate. Great to have a fan supplied in this heat. Let me store my luggage after checkout which was much appreciated.
Nothing comes to mind.
I enjoyed everything the location was perfect and the room was massive. Plenty of water and coffee and tea. View of the front a+
Dirty bedding for all our stay even when cleaners came same sheets for two days. Leaking shower. Floor was uneven and felt unsafe
location. was excellent,
there was no bar food available.
Location is excellent, close to station and very close to the beach and sea. Friendly greeting, room beautifully clean and super sea view! All staff lovely.
Mugs would be better than the small cups in the room..
The sea view
Not to clean and very out dated
good variety of food for breakfast
common parts corridor need modernising
Very good location. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
1.Too many steps to get the room . 2. The room on the pictures had a very big windows with sea view. We received the room with very small windows. We were a bit disappointed of this
Location, view,friendly staff
Ideal place to stay before our race. Comfy bed! Lovely staff.
Room was boiling ! Shame windows weren’t left open before we arrived to air it. Noisy at night outside
The staff at the Sandbanks were exceptionally friendly and polite and made our stay very comfortable and was very accommodating with us taking our dog.
The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the beach . We had a beautiful sea view room . The staff were very helpful and engaging . The breakfast was superb . Many thanks .
Location was ok. One staff member was nice
Filthy windows, mouldy sealant, bed needs replacing. Really loud movement of other people. Parking non existent, had to park in a rough estate behind. Said EV charging available, but wouldn't let us book it at all across a 2 night stay. Just a really poor experience.
Sea view from the room. Just opposite the beach.
Nothing.
Staff was very outgoing , communication was good and the sea view
For the price for one night of £135 , the room was very run down , shower tiles and cubicle needs ripping out and is old and shabby , all the room needs a good refurb , chairs was rickety, wallpaper peeling off , money needs spending to bring it up to a good standard , all I can say is the sea view was stunning and that’s all it has going for it
Location and views
Toilet door wouldn't shut light didn't work curtains didn't meet giving large gaps in the window also no normal TV programmes also breakfast gave us both indigestion. The curry house downstairs was inedible and was sent back.
Staff were friendly Bed was comfortable Got a good night sleep
Had trouble connecting to WiFi Not proper free view television channels..only apps No bedside cabinet or lamp Could do with updating the room and bed covers Kettle..table and shower room not in same room with the bed Two small windows for sea view..no table and chairs to enjoy the view and eat Paid extra for breakfast which was small
Location fantastic
Room need abit of TLC
The hotel is situated right on the front with spectacular views of the bay. Breakfast was adequate. The room was clean and quiet.
Sadly the bed was right next to a noisy radiator (think running tap) despite it being turned off. It was not possible to move the bed so slept on the floor for the second night. There is no parking onsite despite the add saying there is, however the side roads nearby are free parking and I found room without too much hassle.
The location The friendlies of the staff who were very helpful
Nothing
Quiet location opposite the beach . Chosen as there was a lift. Friendly staff.
Didn't realise that there was no level access to the front door. Constant noise in the room that sounded like running water but I think it was the heating system. Toilet moved slightly when sat on.
Nice location by the beach. Not a far walk to the main part of town and the optional breakfast was delicious!
My room, being a single room, was small but it was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. My only complaint was the room was at the back of the property so it at times was noisy with kitchen/bar staff coming, going, emptying trash ect.
