I was given a small discount at checkout, which I appreciated, but I was asked to pay in cash. I also later discovered that my reservation had been cancelled on Booking.com, even though I had actually stayed at the property and paid for the night. This is something that left me perplexed and I think it's worth mentioning. Al momento del pagamento mi è stato fatto un piccolo sconto, cosa che ho apprezzato, ma mi è stato richiesto di pagare in contanti. Successivamente ho inoltre constatato che la mia prenotazione risultava cancellata su Booking, nonostante avessi effettivamente soggiornato nella struttura e pagato il pernottamento. È un aspetto che mi ha lasciata perplessa e che ritengo corretto segnalare.

La struttura, a mio parere, ha un rapporto qualità-prezzo decisamente inferiore rispetto ad altri alloggi disponibili a Đồng Văn. Per ciò che offre, il prezzo dovrebbe essere almeno un 35- 40% più basso. Avevo scelto Khoi Panorama soprattutto per il nome e per le fotografie, pensando di soggiornare in una camera con vista panoramica. La mia stanza, invece, si trovava al piano inferiore e non aveva alcuna vista: l'unica piccola finestra dava sulla veranda dove viene servita la colazione ed era addirittura coperta da un panno, quindi dall'interno non si vedeva praticamente nulla. È importante chiarire questo aspetto nelle informazioni della struttura: le camere al piano superiore, anche se prive di bagno privato, hanno effettivamente una bella vista e un balcone; quella che ho ricevuto io, con bagno privato al piano inferiore, non aveva vista panoramica. La camera corrispondeva sostanzialmente a quella mostrata nelle fotografie, anche se le foto la valorizzano molto più della realtà. Il bagno è stato uno dei problemi principali: non c'è box doccia e, durante la doccia, il bagno si allagava completamente, anche perché lo scarico sembrava non funzionare correttamente. A quel punto ho capito probabilmente anche l'utilità delle ciabattine lasciate in bagno. Altro aspetto che mi ha lasciata molto perplessa è il letto. Non ho trovato delle normali lenzuola: c'erano il coprimaterasso e il copriletto visibile anche nelle fotografie. Anche i cuscini decorativi erano direttamente sul letto. Non posso sapere quale sia la procedura di cambio e lavaggio tra un ospite e l'altro, ma personalmente mi sarei sentita molto più tranquilla trovando della normale biancheria da letto pulita e chiaramente predisposta per ogni nuovo cliente. Non c'era inoltre aria condizionata.

The location is stunning! The whole place is so beautifully set up and the hosts were so sweet. It’s the typical Ha Giang tour stay for the bigger groups, so it was quiet. The dinner and the breakfast were both very good.

The property is located on top of a hill so you will have an amazing view. The style is very traditional and feels cozy. The staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome. Dinner was okay.

The only thing we didn’t like was the bedding on the bed. It had a weird and ruff material and didn’t feel nice whilst sleeping. Also the room smelled a bit stuffy.

Such an amazing spot up in the mountains surrounded by trees. The place was really relaxing and room was clean and rustic just like the photos online. The ginger foot spa before bed was amazing too!

As soon as we arrived from a wet drive on the bikes, the staff instantly welcomed us with a herbal warm tea which was lovely and took our order for food, checked us in and made it welcoming from the start! The property itself was absolutely rustic and beautiful, they put the wood fire on to dry are shoes and we admired all of the hand crafted bonsai trees. The food was really tasty and the owners sat and ate their dinner which was lovely to see their culture and how they dined. The room came with heated mattress which was lovely, and it’s was such a peaceful nights sleep. They were very helpful in the morning with our bikes ensuring we had oil and good to start the next part of our trip. Would 100% recommend staying here as they were so lovely and helpful.

Der Ausblick atemberaubend, alles ist in einem wunderschönen Konzept und passt zusammen. Man merkt die Liebe fürs Detail und für die Natur. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben dort einen richtigen Seelenfrieden empfunden. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, wären aber am liebsten länger geblieben. Das war mit Abstand die schönste Unterkunft auf unserem Motorradtrip am Loop.

Es ist natürlich dadurch dass alles aus Holz ist hellhörig. Nimmt euch Oropax mit und dann ist alles perfekt

The place itself is very nice, with many small details that are thoughtfully and beautifully done.

The price was high compared to other places in the area, but unfortunately there were no real advantages. The food was overpriced and not good. The room had only one small window, making it feel quite dark, and the bedsheets were uncomfortable. Communication was also difficult, as the staff did not speak any English.

Incredible stay at Khoi panorama. Can’t recommend this place enough top marks on everything. Comfortable, quiet, very nicely decorated. We even had a member of staff cook a bbq exclusively for us which was a great experience. Heated mattress in the room as it can get quite cold in this location.

Just a couple things to note the front door didn’t seem very secure when inside you could only pull it shut with a bar across. (Barn style door) Egg option at breakfast would of been nice.

L'établissement est magnifique. Situé très à l'écart de Dong Van (calme assuré). Le personnel est aux petits soins pour ses clients et que dire de la vue ! Absolument fantastique !

Les salles d'eau / WC ne sont pas privatifs (ce que nous n'avions pas noté lors de notre réservation). 2 salles d'eau/WC pour 4 chambres mais ça n'a pas posé de problème

I love the space they have created. The decorations and furniture are very well picked, tasteful and comfortable. You can imagine what it might have been like living as a privileged person in Vietnam in another date in time and dive into the dreamy landscape of Dong Van. The breakfast was delicious, we were lit a fire to warm up around a lovely cup of coffee and the atmosphere was very calm and regenerating. The beds are equipped with heaters, which is a big plus in light of the absence of radiators and open windows, appropriate for the set up of the house, which is meant to look and feel like a traditional vietnamese home. We slept very well and really enjoyed our stay, thank you !

The only aspect we were a bit disappointed about is the shower. We appreciated, when booking, that while the rest of the house is created in traditional and simple vietnamese manner, the bathrooms are modern and rather « luxurious » for the region. We had hoped for an actual shower with a separating glass wall which makes the experience in the bathroom even more enjoyable (not everything gets wet). Obviously, this was not a deal breaker and we will definitely come back if we pass by the region again but it would be insightful to display pictures online in this regard.

Wir wurden über eine halbe Stunde aufgehalten und am Ende mussten wir 3% bezahlen. Das nervt! Bettzeug wurde nach unserer Abreise NICHT gewechselt

Khói Panorama è un posto magico, con una vista mozzafiato sulle montagne che circondano la struttura. Abbiamo avuto modo di soggiornare qui la prima notte del nostro Loop e ci siamo sentiti coccolati, anche per la cena barbecue che consiglio assolutamente. La termocoperta poi è stata una chicca che abbiamo molto apprezzato, soprattutto al termine di una fredda giornata in moto.

Based on the reviews and photos, we had higher expectations. The price felt a bit high for what you get. Also be aware that this place is not located in the town itself. Dong Van Old Quarter is really lovely, with nice bars and great places to eat. If I may give one piece of advice: stay there instead.

War sehr sehr schön. Sehr sehr tolle Aussicht am Abend mit Sonnenuntergang und die Heizdecke war ne Wucht (war schon etwas kühler im November). Sehr geschmackvolles Haus mit einem schönen Bonsaigarten draussen.

La maison en bois est magnifique et très bien entretenue, tout comme le jardin: c’est un vrai plaisir pour les yeux. Et la vue est incroyable, aussi bien depuis le jardin que depuis le balcon de la chambre. Tout cela donne vraiment envie de rester plus longtemps.

The location is incredible high in the mountains with stunning views and unique Hmong architecture. Mei the young girl looking after us was a delight and very helpful.

It has shared facilities and if there were a lot of different people there it has the potential to be noisy between the rooms.

I felt it was overpriced for what you get, there is no window in the room so you don't get to take advantage of the nice in the room. With there being no glass in the window I imagine in winter it would be very cold. The bedding although traditional wasn't very comfortable. The food was average with little choice.

Amazing view and architecture. Traditional Vietnamese house with beautiful bonsai trees and very cute dogs. The weather is a bit chilly but the bed can be heated, it was perfect for the night.

This is a traditional Hmong property. It was very nicely done and the views are absolutely stunning from it. It was also very clean and even had tea making in the room which we loved. For us the only negatives were the shared bathroom and the food quality wasn’t fantastic.

The view is amazing and the house is built with incredible eye for detail. The owner showed me videos of all the handmade stuff around the house. It’s absolutely stunning. The top rooms have the most amazing view, only downside is that you have to share a bathroom. Rooms on the ground floor have private bathrooms. It’s a bit outside of town, but we like that. It’s quiet and the owner and her family are very welcoming. Food was also amazing, they helped us with the hotpot dinner since we where newbies to it.

The view is breathtaking. The whole homestay is located in a quiet location away from the noise of the city. The rooms are cozy and clean with a beautiful view from the balcony

Unfortunately, we had a group of local motorbikers visiting at the same time as we did who were a bit noisy. On the other hand, it was quiet before 10pm so we slept well

Beautiful building and location. Quiet and secluded. Not too far from town. Great community feel for dinner and breakfast.

Smoke from the campfire fills all the rooms. Not too bad but worth mentioning. The rooms aren’t very sealed from the outside, so it’s a little cold. However, the heated blankets are amazing and I slept warm and comfortably.

The facilities were so basic and not that comfortable. Weather in Ha Giang could be too cold only with the electric blanket at night and without any air heater... we chose that night with the highest price but it not worth with such inconvenience.

The place was super clean, and I can tell that they paid attention to the detail. For the cold mountain weather, the electric meatless for the bed made us to be able to sleep very well. When we stayed, there was a group of vietnamese tourists, the owner was worried if they were too noisy, but we could actually sleep well thanks to the warm meatless. Our room had a private bathroom. Nice view, of course.

Far from everywhere, and you need a (rather expensive) taxi to go anywhere.

Beautifully designed and atmospheric traditional style house. The couple who own and run it designed it with great care (it took 18 months to build and has nice details, lighting and furnishing). It only has 7 rooms. Fantastic and comfortable common seating/relaxing areas. First class views from our balcony. It is an intimate and unique place and feels a bit like stepping into the past with style and modern comfort. Very comfortable beds, great size room and lovely balcony/terrace. Very good food (hotpot for dinner and nice breakfast). To note: Because of the traditional design of the house the 5 first floor rooms share bath rooms. This was fine for us- there was plenty of hot water and they were very clean. The walls are also of wood so sound travels in the building. Guests are asked to be mindful of others after 10pm. Again, not a problem for us- it added to the overall experience. The couple who own and run it were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The most special place we stayed at in our two weeks in north Vietnam. Would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to this part of Vietnam. If you stay here, try to arrive at least an hour ahead of sunset to make the most of the garden/terrace and the views.

Best place I stayed at on my 14-day motorbike trip. This is a traditionally built, beautiful house to stay at. Gorgeous views. Great food. Note that there are no glass windows, everything is a bit open air. Mattresses have a heated blanket on them which makes it a super comfy sleep. Shared bathrooms. though they are very clean so no issue.

I understand the fire/smoking procedure procedure is part of the tradition and used to chase away bugs, but I don't love that everything smells like a camp fire since it's so smokey everywhere else already due to trash burning.

Beautiful place! We came across this place in the last minute when we looked for a place to crash for the night. The room and the house is absolutely gorgeous. The view from our balcony was incredible. A lot of details are taken in the architecture and interior. They serve delicious dinner and breakfast. Overall really love our stay!

Keep in mind that the bathroom is shared and is separate from the room, also quite basic. Not a big problem at all but good to know. Also during the night we stayed, the owner burned wood at the place, which smells nice, but the smoke was a bit too much at one point and my throat did not react well to it. However these things are minor and we still really enjoyed our stay!

The place is incredible with a stunning view. They have a fireplace which makes the place very comfortable. The room is very clean. The food is very good as it is the red wine! Definetely a place to come!

We had such a memorable time here I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. When we first arrived we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the the house, the pictures don’t compare to how incredible it is in person. The architecture is breathtaking and the views from the room and grounds are mesmerising. But the best part was how warm and welcoming Trang (I hope I’ve written that correctly!) and her family are. It turned out we were staying during her birthday and they welcomed us to the party and let us share some incredible BBQ food, cake, and more than a few shots of rice wine (một hai ba, dô!). We were even convinced to butcher some karaoke… Trang and her family truly exemplify the incredibly warm nature of the Vietnamese people and we’re so lucky to have experienced such a great night with such a wonderful bunch - thank you!
