Our welcome from Amy was wonderful. Told us everything we needed to know. Very pleasant & happy lady. Chef was super nice too & cooked us something to eat.

Comfy, beautiful views good selection of drinks in room lovely toiletries.good value.
Nothing not to like
The room with a view. Clean tidy peaceful and very welcoming staff. I hope to return soon . The food was lovely. Can't fault the place
Nothing
The bed was huge & lovely sheets also the breakfast was great very big
Large and comfortable bed. Good breakfast.
Bathroom was in need of updating
The overall stay was very nice and delicious breakfast
River smell was the problem as we couldn’t open a window, water pressure in the shower and shower taps very difficult to set up proper water temperature, it was too hot or too cold
The room on the surface looked nice but the crack in the sink, squeak in the bed, coffee machine with no instruction
The staff were rude and we felt like we were an inconvenience, being given instructions while walking to the room and not taking the train me to make sure we knew all instructions.
Overall breakfast was very good. Well cooked and quality ingredients
Tinned tomatoes at breakfast would prefer fresh. No cereals on offer Bedroom floors creak under foot
Friendly service, lovely location, nice spacious rooms, very good value for money and excellent breakfast.
Nothing!
Nice room with recent makeover, balcony overlooking the river. Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast with range of menu options. Also attended a family party with a nice and plentiful buffet. Much improved under the recent owners of the last few years.

Beautiful location
Needs some tlc and attention to detail in cleaning
Friendly staff, lovely riverside views from the balcony. Great breakfast
Nothing
It was a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast was good quality food.5 star for that.
The staff didn't tell us we had to go to a different door to get in. We had to fone the wedding party ,where we had been,to ask for the people how to get in. Bear in mind it was hammering it down with rain.(nightmare to say the least). It did smell atad on the outside.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful and the the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast on both days and the evening meal was also nice. Parking on site, good wi-fi and a lovely location on the River Severn.
The staff were friendly. The breakfast delicious. Amazing location.
Excellent location. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Great stay.
Location great. Staff helpful and friendly
Noisy floorboards in room above..
A beautiful calm room with a view over the river and a verandah. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were close to some lovely National Trust places and little towns like Bewdley.
Road noise in the background.
I loved the river alongside our room we had a beautiful view and the bed was comfortable room was clean and had a balcony with table and chairs. It was just so peaceful and nice.
The beds were huge and really comfortable. The food was good. The view was beautiful. All the staff were great and very polite and helpful.
The hotel was looking a little tired round the edges.
Very friendly staff, great food, breakfast included was fab. Location by the river was very plesant and being dog friendly made for a delightful stay.
The shower in our room needs attention as being mixer it was either too hot or cold, hard to get the correct temperature. Plus the outside space outside the room needs attention, updating, as it is great to have a balcony with riverside views but is looking tired. Don't let this put you off as the room was spacious and clean.
This Hotel/Inn is a gem. The room was a good size, as was the bathroom. The french windows open onto a balcony, with a lovely view of the river. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant decent. And an excellent breakfast to boot!. A very competitive price completes an overall great package.
AirCon in the bedroom would have been a bonus, but it may not be financially viable.
Breakfast was delicious. Great choice
All staff both evening and morning were friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. Genuinely interested in us as guests and interacted so we'll. We felt really at home. Breakfast choice was superb and good choice and very well cooked and presented.Good value evening and lunchtime meals.
We found no fault with accommodation, staff and food.
Position and room
Staff very friendly Food was fantastic the chef knows how to cook steak
Grounds really need some maintenance Bedroom was lovely bed was so comfortable but bathroom really needs updating
Friendliness. Quality of the room was excellent ( though a handrail in the bath would be useful) Food was delicious. Lovely view
As with so many restaurants now , dogs are allowed in the restaurant. Noisy barking isn't relaxing for the rest of the customers.
The whole experience was amazing. I absolutely loved the whole balcony room as you was over looking the river seven which is stunning
The only thing I was disappointed with was the shower...its either scolding you or freezing you their was no in the middle as much as you play around with the taps.
Lovely location Staff were friendly Excellent value Nice food
Breakfast was good and staff very pleasant
The stairs/fire exit looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The bathroom was dated (old pink suite dating back to 70's)
Friendly and welcoming place to stay. Very relaxing. Plenty of places to visit nearby.
Nothing
Location was right by the river Severn. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed after a wedding at a nearby wedding venue. Spotlessly clean. Great room overlooking the river. Breakfast was nicely done and included in the rate. They made an effort to provide fans to get the room temperature down on a hot night. The bed was spacious and comfortable.
Whilst it was clean and the decor was alright, the rooms were pretty jaded. The en-suite was really dated albeit it was functional. The whole place really needed a spruce up which was a bit of a pity. We also had to fumble around in the dark (no lights externally) after midnight to get in through the back door which was a bit unusual. Could have do done with a fully divided balcony instead of being shared with other rooms as it didn’t really feel secure, although we had no trouble.
location really nice and food very good
shower bit tricky
Excellent service and brilliant staff.
Hotel is fantastic but an upgrade to en-suites are due soon?
Lovely place to relax, unwind and get away from it all! ❤️ The staff were absolutely lovely and so friendly, which made us feel very welcome. The location is beautiful and scenic, and our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and had lots of thoughtful little touches that made our stay extra special. Thank you for a wonderful stay — we really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend! Even made a new little furr freind 🐈✨
Ther could be better screen between rooms on the balcony.
Staff are great. Evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. Lovely big room with river view.
Mattress a bit firm.... But that's not the end of the world.
View over river , location and peaceful atmosphere
Stairs and distance to room
The breakfasts were excellent, the location was beautiful, I liked the balcony overlooking the river, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were also fantastically friendly and helpful.
The shower was a bit fiddly and the cat didn't want petted.
Riverside location
Nothing
Beautiful location Staff very friendly Vegan friendly for partner - Great choice at breakfast and it could be taken anytime between 8-12
Everything
So hard temperature setting in our bath, but we did it.
Location near the river ,lots of parking & a nice menu for food . Cooked breakfast was fab !
A wee bit of paint required on balcony outside room & some general maintenance around the building but would not stop us returning again !
Staff are rude, not helpful at all. Rooms were clean and comfortable but outside areas are very run down. Disappointing as we came years ago and it was lovely
Staff
Clean comfortable and excellent food. Nice indoor decor and situation
A bit shabby on outside some peeling paint
Location and balcony overlooking river
Lovely riverside location
It was a bit tired and run down
The location by the river ,food was good value
The rooms are very very tired ,definitely need money spent on them ,shower in top room twin was very poor.
Breakfast freshly cooked. Prompt service. Clean and modern room.
Postcode did not match the location! Room door would not lock. Difficulty opening balcony door. Could not get shower to work. People in room.above us (Stour)made a lot of noise on creaking floorboards....don't stay on first floor!
Next to the river so was nice and quite
Outside area was a little tired and overgrown. More umbrellas needed for outside seating
Lovely sized room and great view. Best breakfast ever! Lovely staff and easy check in etc.
The bathroom was totally fine, but I hate to say it, but not very modern.
Lively room and great view
Squeaky floors!
Large spacious bedroom. Beautiful balcony outside bedroom . Very Friendly staff. Ample parking . Large restaurant.
Decorating needed updating .
Shower was too hot to use, told the staff in the morning but they were very dismissive and almost argumentative about it, they asked how our stay was but didn’t actually want to hear it. It’s not a cheap hotel so was surprised at this lack of understanding
Ver friendly staff
Location & breakfast
The hotel has a peaceful, riverside location which suited our needs. The friendly, cheerful staff welcomed us warmly. Supper, taken on the verandah overlooking the river, was pleasant, unpretentious pub food with a wide choice of beers. The large parking area was adjacent to the building. Wifi was automatically offered throughout the building. In the hot weather a fan was provided in the bedroom. The artwork on walls in the bedroom and public rooms was beautiful and novel
Access to the bedroom was by narrow stairs. Room and en suite decor (grouting) looking a little tired. Washbasin surround inadequate for holding washing and shaving kit.
Staff so friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Room nice and roomy. Bed very comfortable.
The outside let the experience down. Lovely position next to river. However exterior needs updating. Don’t let this put you off though.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the full English breakfast with juice, tea, coffee and toast was excellent and great value for money. The location was lovely and peaceful.
The room hadn’t had a good clean, many cobwebs and spiders in the room. The bedding though was spotless.
Fantastic hotel such a lovely area, beautiful views and staff so friendly
Outlook onto the river Big rooms Excellent room amenities
We stayed for 3 nights the room was spacious, clean, had tea & coffee facilities, the bathroom had a bowl of ladies toiletries which was a lovely extra touch, the location was superb as we had a balcony and we were right by the river severn, So peaceful and relaxing,,had a wonder breakfast cooked and the meals were reasonably priced all the staff very friendly and approachable
The only gripe would be more options for breakfast as its all cooked although their is choice for waffle or pancake ....i personally would have enjoyed fruit or yoghurt though this wasnt a issue
Well what a place to stay ,we were given a room with a balcony overlooking the river ,we had an evening meal which was excellent, the room clean and airy all staff friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent, can't wait to stay again .
Nothing
Beautiful room, very clean and the views are gorgeous. The team were really welcoming, as were the pub guests, so immediately felt comfortable there.
I did book a twin room but unfortunately it was set up as a double and there weren't any other rooms available. Travelling as mother and daughter so it wasn't a major issue for us, but obvs would have preferred own beds. It didn't detract from how nice the room and staff were though.
Beautiful rooms
The riverside location was perfect. The room was a good size & well decorated. The staff were all really friendly & helpful. We had dinner & breakfast there, both meals were of good quality.
We couldnt get wifi to work in our room.
Very welcoming brilliant location

Breakfast was very good. Room overlooking river was excellent. Twin beds were very good
Old style shower over bath that you had to pull lever up for shower and down for bath and had to keep turning bath taps to get the water hot for shower.
Clean room good parking fab location
Nothing
The cooked breakfast was good, but no cereal or fruit, only allowed one hot drink. The location was excellent.
I requested twin beds on booking.com order page, but the Lenchford had NO notification of this requirement and could not or would not provide the first night.
Nothing
The room was had a crack in the wall, the bathroom was from the 1970s and was not cleaned properly((see photo), there were stains on the carpet. The paint was peeling of the balustrade. The whole place feels run down. I had the full English and half of it was served cold, the black pudding looked like it had been cooked the day before, the bacon was dry, I left most of it. The staff are not overly friendly, the tattoed waitress on day two was blunt, with no pleasantries. I can't believe they charged me £300 for two nights, I thought it was going to be nice, I am so disappointed
The view was great and staff very friendly breakfast was also very good
The staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and remained friendly throughout our two-night stay. Our room was charming and spotless, featuring a lovely river view and a balcony ideal for enjoying the evening breeze. Although the heat was quite intense during our visit, and the provided fan struggled to keep the room cool, this was understandable given the extreme temperatures. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we relished a tasty breakfast each morning. For those seeking a tranquil escape, there's no need to go far, as the location offers meals throughout the day and even has a pub, allowing guests to unwind and fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Nothing.
Great room. Comfy bed. Lots of gadgets including a coffee machine. Lovely view. Super breakfast and service.
Squeaky floors. Especially with there being a room above.
Views, staff nice room,
The garden was a little scruffy.
Well situated right next to the river. Comfortable bed Spacious room Lovely staff Gorgeous breakfast Good bar
Nothing to not like!
We arrived at the end of a hot drive from Cornwall in heatwave. It was wonderful to find a lovely position by the river, with a balcony that was cool enough for us to sit, recover, drink an ice cold beer, and just enjoy the birds, trees and calm water along the river. Excellent, spacious room, comfortable bed, very friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast in the morning. We didn't eat supper in the pub, but I expect it would have also been very good.
Since it was very hot even in the morning, it would have been good to be able to park in the shade of a tree.
Excellent peaceful riverside setting, great food and comfortable spacious room at a very reasonable price. The staff couldn't have been more friendly helpful.
Nothing
The location by the river was beautiful, the food was lovely and the breakfast was delicious.
The bathroom was very dated needs replacing with modern fittings , the balcony could do with being painted as well. I don't understand when a pub does b&b closes the bar at 9 last orders taken at 8 also we were told to go to our room as we could not stay outside on the premises in the beer garden.
Food was spot on.... location was lovely....the room was really lovely....loved everything about it...well presented view from the room was amazing.....staff were very friendly and helpful
There's nothing you could improve on....the creaky floorboards from the upper level are only to be expected in an older building
Great location, very clean comfortable rooms which appear to have been refurbished in the last 12 months.
Breakfast not available before 8am.
The location was exceptional. Beautiful river frontage. The room was big and bed was very comfortable with a veranda and table and chairs.
Bathroom and shower need updating.
Stayed three nights, room very comfortable, lovely balcony with view over the river, (although railings could do with a repaint) but didn't spoil the view . Tea. Coffee and towels replenished daily. Staff very good. Food especially breakfast which was included in the room price was excellent everything you needed. Service was excellent. Location by the river is excellent sat on the decking with friends nice and relaxing. Will definitely stay again next time we're visiting friends
Entrance to room via the outside stairs onto the balcony could do with a clean and tidy up although you dont have to use as you can access room via the pub entrance. (Didn't spoil the stay or the view) Just an observation.
Nice location by the river Friendly staff Good breakfast
We were in room 28 Bathroom in need of complete refurbishment Unpleasant odour in there which was transmitted to bedroom Toilet flush needs replacing Stand alone full length mirror far too big for room and takes up too much space Be better to have mirror on wall Floors in bedroom and bathroom very creaky and noisy Shelf over the chest of drawers where kettle is would be useful Lots of stairs and twists and turns to get to room. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems
Comfortable double bed (2 singles together), spacious room on 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the River Severn. Good full English breakfast - not too much and not greasy - though strangely only fruit juice, no cereal, although that didn't bother us. Dinners were good too - again not too much to eat and a decent helping of peas or salad with the main courses. At other places I've often had a huge battered fish with chips and a mere tablespoonful of peas - one pea per mouthful! - but here the fish was a sensible size and there were plenty of peas. Everything that was supposed to be served hot, really was piping hot. I twice had a very big apple and berry crumble - lots of fruit and again stayed hot till the end.
Only trivial things: the key was a very stiff fit into the lock - poorly cut I suspect. Be aware that the balcony acts as a fire exit and an alternative way out, so other guests may walk past your glass door and window!
Great location and room.. Excellent Full English breakfast
Limited choice on evening menu
Location
Looking tired
River view with balcony. Fantastic breakfast.
Nothing.
Spacious Room, good value food, beautiful location. Very friendly helpful staff
Two single mattresses on a double bed made an annoying gap half way, but comfortable mattresses
Excellent size room, huge comfy bed. Large roomy bathroom. Very professional and friendly staff and great food. Beautiful location with a view over the river. Nothing to dislike.
There was nothing about our stay to dislike!
Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast if you like a full English
Outside areas have suffered from regular flooding
Lovely location on the river. We had a comfortable room with balcony overlooking the river. We ate in the restaurant downstairs in the evening and enjoyed the breakfast the next day. The food was excellent. The staff were also brilliant - friendly and helpful. Beds were really comfy too. A great stay! We were only staying one night as it was a half way stop down to the South West but would have been happy to stay longer
Only thing we didn't like too much was the shower - it was either super hot or cold. We managed though and it was a small thing compared to everything else. The room was spotlessly clean except for one area - the ceiling! They just need to dust off the cobwebs. Quite common in most places as people don't look up!
It was the closest “B&B”, and that’s all it was, to the wedding venue. That was the only real positive from this booking.
As we had an early airport start, we asked for an early breakfast. We were flatly refused by a very abrupt member of staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable but for what we paid, very dated.
Friendly staff, really made us feel welcome and went out of their way to be helpful. Very comfortable and spacious bedroom, and well equipped bathroom. The full English breakfast was absolutely first class.
Outside areas could do with a tidy up. This property is right on the riverbank, so floods are a regular occurrence. I suspect that’s why some of the outside area looked like it could do with a bit of attention.
Excellent location. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Very enjoyable breakfast with portions just right. Gorgeous views from the balcony over the River Severn. Have already recommended The Lenchford to friends.
Some of the paintwork throughout the building and outdoor railings etc were looking in need of a spruce up and coats of paint. Windows could do with a clean on the outside.
Excellent staff, very friendly and welcoming, food very good and good value for money. We had a dog with us and the waitress kindly asked if the dog would like a sausage at breakfast, which our dog really enjoyed. Lovely river views from the balcony.
Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and lovely views.
