Very peaceful place. It’s right in nature but still close to the city. The villa is just renovated and looks amazing. The room is huge and well decorated. The villa is run by a family and they are so friendly. The food tasted amazing and was affordable. We rented a motorcycle at the villa, the motorcycle is well maintained.

The property was very quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful mountain view. The surroundings were relaxing, and the atmosphere was perfect for a comfortable stay.

The Wi-Fi connection could be improved, and there were limited dining options nearby. Other than that, everything was satisfactory.

Mittlerweile war ich ingesammt schon viele Monate in diversen Ländern Asiens unterwegs. Dies ist eines der nettesten Hotels, die ich bisher gesehen habe. Traumhafter Garten und die Hausherrin kocht super lecker.

Such a beautiful place to stay. It feels outside of the city, but is still just a few minutes away from central Kampot. I enjoyed waking up the sounds of birds, lounging on the comfy bed, and chatting with the owners. 10/10 place.

De weg naar het resort was in heel slechte staat. De aanwezigheid van een zwembad zou een extra troef geweest zijn.

Absolutely amazing stay at Villa Romdoul as our base for 4 days exploring around Kampot & Kep. Firstly, the hosts Naret & Sarong are delightful. Naret speaks reasonable English and actually built the whole place himself. The rooms are enormous and very well furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable too. The on site restaurant/bar serves very reasonably priced and fantastic quality home cooked food. We rented scooters at $8 per day and they are literally brand new - by far the best we have had across SE Asia. Some reviewers have mentioned the road leading to the property. Yes it is unpaved but it’s very easily navigated. The way some western people describe the road would lead you to believe you’re in an Indiana Jones movie. Honestly it’s fine and not at all unusual for SE Asia. If you don’t rent a scooter you will need to get around by tuk tuk and even though the villa is a little way from town we never had any difficulty in securing one via Grab or Pass. Even if you did then Naret has local contacts he will call for you. There are three very friendly cats on site who don’t really bother you at all. It would help to be a dog lover however as the little puppy although cute is very excitable! That said if you are even remotely uncomfortable Naret will remove the dog straight away. If you are looking for a base to explore this area that is high quality and competitively priced then we would absolutely recommend Villa Romdoul.

Everything is perfect for me. The room is very clean, large and has a fresh smell. The garden view is beautiful, and I would recommend staying here if you want to relax in a quiet place.

Exceptionnel, le logement était juste parfait, les meubles en bois sont sublimes, nous avons pu profiter des jardins en fin de journée. La route pour y accéder est un peu en mauvais état mais nous étions prévenus et c'est le prix à payer pour être dans cet havre de paix ! A chacun de nos retours, nous étions accueillis par les chiots et les chats 🥰

Une cuisine simple, généreuse et savoureuse — bien meilleure que dans beaucoup de restaurants du coin. 🛵 Services pratiques sur place : location de scooters et vélos, service de lavanderie — le tout à des prix très honnêtes. 🚣 Les hôtes recommandent aussi des activités locales (cooking class, kayak) qu'on a testées et adorées. 📍 Accès via une route non goudronnée, mais tout à fait praticable en tuk-tuk (1,5 $ à 2 $ pour rejoindre le centre) ou en scooter. L'éloignement se justifie amplement : la sérénité du lieu n'a pas de prix. Si vous aimez le calme, la nature et l'authenticité, ne cherchez plus. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

I had a wonderful stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house has a beautiful garden and is surrounded by greenery, which makes it very peaceful. It’s 10 minutes (drive) outside Kampot city center, and you feel completely immersed in nature. The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly. The road to the hotel is a bit bumpy, but the surrounding scenery more than makes up for it. If you re looking to stay within walking distance of the Kampot center, it might be a bit far, though you can easily rent a scooter or use Grab. Bonus: you can have fruits from the garden for breakfast

Se amate la tranquillita' e non vi interessa essere un poco lontani dal centro e dalla movida questo e' il posto giusto. Il proprietario ha costruito questo b&b nella sua piantagione di mango e il risultato e' incredibile. Camere e strutture comuni in bellissimo stile coloniale, immerse in uno stupendo giardino con fiori e alberi da frutta ovunque. Potevamo raccogliere i mango direttamente dalla finestra della nostra camera. Tutto pulito e impeccabile, inclusa l'accoglienza e la possibilita' di interagire con il proprietario e la moglie, per avere una prospettiva locale sul paese e le sue tradizioni. La colazione e la cena sono servite in uno stupendo padiglione e cucinate al momento dalla moglie del proprietario. Consiglio questo posto senza alcun dubbio per un soggiorno oltre le aspettative.

Das Zimmer war von der Ausstattung und den sanitären Installationen und den handwerklichen Arbeiten nicht zu übertreffen. Ganz großes Lob an den Eigentümer. Tolle neue Scooter direkt in der Unterkunft buchen, sind alle top.

Was mir leider nicht gefallen hat, war der 1 km lange unbefestigte Schotterweg zur Villa von der Hauptstraße mit Schlaglöchern, Geröll,LKWs die den staubigen Weg befahren und jede Menge Hunden. Man braucht um in die Stadt zu gelangen, entweder einen Scooter oder ein Tuck Tuck. Nachts würde ich den Weg wegen der Hunde nicht zu Fuß gehen. Diese Bewertung hat aber keinen Einfluss auf die Bewertung der Unterkunft. Man sollte es aber zur Kenntnis nehmen.

The best accommodation we stayed at in Cambodia. The property is owned by the sweetest family. Our room was so beautiful. They provided complimentary bikes for guests to use. The food at their restaurant was delicious. We hope to stay there again in the future.

The area that the property is located in isn't the nicest, but when you're on the property it feels like an oasis.

Out of all the places we stayed at in Cambodia Villa Romduol is the one I'm most likely to come back to, everything was just perfect ❤️ It's a bit further from the city but provides a motorcycle rental for a good price, the owners are super nice and helpful, and everything in the rooms is really great quality. And the whole place is just gorgeous!

Nous avons passé un super séjour de 7 j dans ce petit hâvre de paix loin de la foule et au calme. Cet établissement a été réalisé par le propriétaire avec des matériaux de très grande qualité et avec beaucoup de goût. Les chambres sont très belles et très propres. Tous les codes de l hôtellerie et restauration sont respectés, c est rare en Asie. Nous avons pris les cocktails et repas sur place car d'excellente qualité, la salle à manger est aussi un endroit où il fait bon vivre, la décoration chinée chez des artisans locaux est magnifique. Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants et courageux, ils ont le mérite de réussir. Bravo à eux.

Die Unterkunft ist recht weit außerhalb und die Straße ist sehr holprig. Mit Tuk-Tuks gar kein Problem, aber man sollte sich klar darüber sein, dass es fußläufig zu weit ins Stadtzentrum ist.

Wir haben insgesamt 5 Tage in dem wunderschönen Homestay verbracht. Insbesondere die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Inhaberfamie hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Unser Zimmer war groß und mit schönen, vom Inhaber selbst gefertigten, Holzmöbeln ausgestattet. Die Terrassen in den grünen Garten sind neben dem ausgezeichneten, von der Hausherrin selbst gekochten, Essen ein weiteres Highlight der Unterkunft.

Einziger Wehmutstropfen ist der holprige Weg in das Zentrum von Kampot und der gelegentliche etwas muffige Geruch im Zimmer. Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Zeit und würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.

Le cadre est magnifique. Le couple qui nous a reçu était d'une gentillesse incroyable! Il a tout construit de ses mains. Tout ce qu'elle nous a cuisiné était divin! Il nous a fait venir un tuk tuk pour nous récupérer à la station de bus, puis le tuk tuk est revenu le lendemain pour nous emmener où l'on souhaitait à kampot! Il a été de bons conseils! Endroit très paisible et tranquille que je recommande vivement! On peut réserver les yeux fermés vraiment! Merci à Naré et Saroun vous êtes formidables!

Personnes formidables, cadre exceptionnel... Un coin de paradis, un jardin à couper le souffle, chambre grande, déco top, propre. La propriétaire propose de la nourriture locale c'est vraiment très bon, tarif très correct. Rien de négatif, vous posez vos valises dans cet endroit vous vous sentirez forcément bien... Le meilleur établissement que j'ai fais au Cambodge. Un peu à l'écart de la ville, pour 1$50-2$ Un Tuk Tuk vous emmène dans le centre...

Definitely the best place I've stayed in South East Asia. The family is lovely, kind and helpful. The beds are high top comfort! The room and bathroom are spacious. The area is very quiet. Beautiful surroundings, garden and sunset view. The villa is taken care of, the wood is marvelous! The furnitures are beautiful, nice and light decoration. I highly recommend it! Notre plus beau séjour au Cambodge c’est fait à la villa Romduol Tout est parfait !! Les hôtes sont absolument adorables et très accueillants Ils font tout pour nous mettre à l’aise et rendre le séjour agréable L’emplacement est un peu reculé du centre ville mais du coup c’est très calme et très facile de s’y rendre en tuktuk L’endroit est magnifique et tout est fait à la main par l’hôte Un vrai havre de paix Il propose également de la nourriture et tout est très bon, je vous recommande l’omelette fromage légumes, la meilleure que nous ayons mangé ( on en parle encore ) Merci pour tout !!

L’endroit est simplement magnifique, les chambres donnent toutes sur le jardin luxuriant.Les chambres sont grandes, confortables, la douche est chaude et la pression est bonne .Le couple qui nous reçoit ne parle pas bien l’anglais mais ils sont au petits soins . Nous avons adoré cette étape de notre voyage .Un peu excentré mais possibilité de louer des scooters sur place ( prêt de vélo aussi )

Los propietarios son muy amables El jardín es muy bonito. Las habitaciones están muy nuevas y son grandes y cómodas.

A pesar de que en Booking se anuncia con aire acondicionado, nuestra habitación no lo tenía y la ventana no se podía abrir. Había dos ventiladores que removían el aire caliente. Además había un fuerte olor a insecticida y, al no poder ventilar ni tener aire acondicionado, nos resultó muy agobiante. El hotel se encuentra lejos de Kampot por una carretera sin asfaltar y el tuk tuk que te ofrecen es muy pequeño para 3 personas. Nos resultó muy incómodo desplazarnos. El desayuno poco variado.

Nous préférons toujours être un peu hors de la ville, même si celle-ci est facilement accessible par Tuktuk ou location de scooter sur place. In diesem Resort fehlt einem eigentlich an nichts ! Die Besitzer sind wahnsinnig liebe und nette Menschen. Das essen ist sehr lecker und immer selbst gekocht. ( vorbestellen ist hier am besten ). Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und wir kommen ganz sicher wieder hier her. Es ist super ruhig in dieser Gegend.. Die zimmer sind neuwertig und wirklich schön . Ich würde der villa nicht nur 2 Sterne geben sondern 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wer Ruhe sucht wir hier Ruhe finden. Danke 🥰

Alles was perfect. Kamers superschoon en ruim opgezet. Mooi interieur. Alles netjes weggewerkt. Zelfs met het licht is rekening gehouden. De koloniale stijl geeft je het Azië gevoel. Heerlijke keuken met authentieke gerechten. Mooi familiebedrijf waar je zeker niets te kort gaat komen. Hele goedw prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

The staff are so friendly, the rooms are clean and have all the amenities you might need. The common areas are lovely and very relaxing to hang out. Could not recommend it more!

We loved saying here. It's run by a very friendly and welcoming family. This felt more like a homestay with the lovely quiet gardens and great restaurant/bar area. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It's out of town and down a bumpy dirt track which won't be to everyone's liking, but the effort to get there is well worth it. A tuk tuk into town was never more than $2. There was lot's to do in the area which the owners can help with if necessary.

It would have been better for us if breakfast started earlier (starts at 8:30am) but there are plenty of earlier options in Kampot.

Le personnel est adorable et la nourriture est excellente. C’est tout simplement le meilleur hébergement que nous avons eu au Cambodge, et nous recommandons d’y séjourner les yeux fermés !

Alles! Nach einem sehr herzlichen Empfang durften wir unser absolut fantastisches Zimmer beziehen. Ein unglaublich schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Die Umgebung ein absoluter Traum. Wir konnten hier so richtig entspannen und auftanken. Die Gastgeber sind super lieb und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt. Schade haben wir nicht länger gebucht. Wir werden aber wieder kommen und bestimmt für länger. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist zwar holprig, aber auch sehr spannend. Dieser Weg ist es wert. Danke für die wundervolle Zeit.

The hosts/owners, Naret and Sarong, are the most lovely people, I felt really looked after. So much so that they checked how my onward journey was going on the day I left, incredible! The room was beautifully done so I took a few photos for decor ideas! I didn’t have a scooter or a car so was reliant on tuk tuks. This wasn’t a problem really as the villa is just 10 minutes out of Kampot town and Grab is available. But I think having a scooter would be handy. The roads leading to the villa are unmade, but this is normal for the area. The villa is rural so I ate there each night and it was tasty. The outdoor restaurant and seating area is really stylish. The villa is a beautiful calm authentic retreat. The owners have thought of details other places don’t. For example, a fan over the room’s outdoor seating. Such care and attention deserves recognition.

The owners are very friendly, and they will try to create the best stay for you. Communication was sometimes a little challenging because of the language barrier, but you can definitely have an easy conversation with the man. The room is beautifully handmade by the owner and 2 other men, with tasteful design. The shower is very nice, with good water pressure and warm water. Everything was very clean and comfy.

The distance to Kampot city centre is around a 15 -minute tuktuk or scooter ride. You are in a very small basic Cambodian old school village with a very bumpy dirt road. But at the same time, this is the charm of the place as well! 😊 so it is not a bad thing, you just have to take it into account.

It’s just a beautiful setting, perfectly designed for an oasis of peace and tranquility. The rooms are so spacious and my Mountain View room had really high ceilings. It was also furnished in a minimal way with authentic Cambodian pieces and artwork. Just stunning and so restful and pleasing on the eyes. You could rent a scooter for 8$ to 12$ a day. As others have mentioned, it’s a 10/12 minute ride from the centre. I really enjoyed coming back after a bust day sightseeing to this haven. We ate 3 evenings at the Villa as the food is incredibly tasty and flavourful and v fair prices. She’s an excellent cook! It is v relaxed so if you’re not in a hurry it’ll suit you. Naret and Sarong are constantly smiling and helpful.

Our family had the most delightful stay at Villa Romduol, Kampot. The accommodation is a hidden gem. Our first day was a bit culture shock driving through the small village on rough roads, but it was all part of the adventure and "element of surprise." We rode our scooters daily (even at night and early morning without any problem). Loved it! Villa Romduol is just a short drive to Kampot town. The hotel is tranquil, with a separate open, breezy dining traditional wooden structure. The landscape is colorful tropical plants, it was a great joy to wonder and to just sit in front of the rooms or hang out in the dining area. The restaurant (I call it a restaurant because there's no restaurant nearby), run by the host (Naret and Sarong) was also the best meal experience in Kampot by far :), with a good variety of traditional dishes. We also very much enjoyed our impromptu seafood cooking lesson in the evening. The host family came out and helped us grilled fresh seafood - and hung out with us. The rooms were spacious, very clean and the highlight was the friendly and attentive host who provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Villa Romduol is a small boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Kampot. We enjoyed our lovely peaceful evening playing games. We would highly recommend it. Naret and Sarong - we missed you! ...and missing your passion fruit and honey drink :)

Fenomenalne miejsce na prowincji aby odpocząć w ogrodzie. Standard pokoi wyższy niż w pięciogwiazdkowych hotelach. Pyszne domowe jedzenie.

Dojazd do willi to droga po wertepach poza miasto. Ma to swoje plusy ale i minusy. Aczkolwiek nie było sytuacji że jakiś tuk-tuk tam nie chciał tam pojechać.

Die Zimmer sind unfassbar schön und stilvoll eingerichtet und haben alles, was man benötigt. Hier wäre definitiv eine 3-4 Sterne Bewertung angebracht. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend und machen jeden Wunsch möglich. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit hier und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Einziger Nachteil: Die Unterkunft ist sehr weit außerhalb und man benötigt immer ein Tuktuk / einen Roller, wenn man etwas unternehmen möchte. Die Unterkunft bietet allerdings Roller zum Verleih, also halb so schlimm :)

The location out of the city was a perfect tranquil location and well worth the short ride from the centre. What sets Villa Romduol apart for us was our amazing hosts Naret and Sarong, who could not do enough for us to make our stay memorable. We loved the very tasty home cooked food prepared by Sarong.

As others have noted, every so often you come across a really special place, run by extra special people which is also extraordinary, wonderful value– and Villa Romdoul exactly fits that description. It is excellent (10/10) in every respect. If you are fortunate enough to find a free space (a choice of beautiful, spacious rooms with fan only, or even larger rooms with aircon) – then don’t hesitate, book – before someone else does. Traumhafte Unterkunft in einem ruhigen Gartenparadies! Die Unterkunft sollte mindestens 4 Sterne bekommen!! Es ist top sauber, wunderschön neu eingerichtet und das Restaurant und Bar sind nicht zu übertreffen. Man kann sich einen Roller leihen um in die Stadt zu fahren, der Weg ist zwar ein bisschen holprig, aber mit dem Moped machbar. Naret und seine Frau kümmern sich liebevoll um alles. Das Frühstück ist ein absolutes Delight! Abendessen geht nicht besser!!

Tout était parfait. Le couple qui tient l’établissement est adorable, nous avons vraiment apprécié échanger avec eux. L’endroit est magnifique et très paisible, tout est fait des mains du propriétaire, c’est incroyable. Ils proposent un service de laundry, un scooter et un restaurant ce qui est vraiment pratique. La chambre était spacieuse, propre, bien décoré, équipement moderne. Quelqu’un est même venu nous chercher à l’arrêt de bus ce qui était vraiment bien car l’établissement est assez loin.

Il n’y avait pas de clim dans notre chambre mais je crois que c’était précisé pour cette chambre et c’est un peu loin du centre donc il faudra forcément un scooter. Tout le reste était absolument parfait. En 2 mois de voyage en Asie, c’est notre meilleur établissement.

Le cadre agréable à l'écart de la ville La cuisine du restaurant était excellente ! Chambres très spacieuses et confortables, même si un peu de mobilier en plus serait utile. Nous avons passé de très bonnes nuits

Communication compliquée avec les hôtes, anglais très limité. Donc nous n'avons pas forcément pu avoir de conseils, recommandations, etc. La route pour venir est un chemin de terre en très mauvais état, cela peut décourager pour faire l'aller-retour en ville le soir

Accueil d'une grande gentillesse, très grandes chambres décorées avec beaucoup de goût, grand jardin arboré avec bassin, le resto est très bon et d'un excellent rapport qualité prix. Environnement très calme propice à la detente. A envoyé un tuk tuk à ses frais pour le transfert depuis l'arrêt de bus à notre arrivée

Rien tout était parfait, un peu éloigné du centre il faut prévoir 15mn de tuktuk, le patron peut se charger de le commander

Tout : les gens, l'accueil, l'environnement et surtout la gentillesse des hôtes.

Zufahrtsweg sehr holprig

Nous avons adoré séjourner à Villa Romduol. L'hébergement est magnifique, le jardin tropical est absolument superbe et les hôtes sont chaleureux, souriants et tellement attentionnés. Les chambres sont très grandes et propres et les salles de bains très fonctionnelles. L'eau est bien chaude. La clim est silencieuse. Devant chaque suite, il y a une terrasse couverte et chacun dispose de son propre salon extérieur. Nous avons pris tous les repas à la Villa lors de notre séjour, on se sentait tellement bien. Tout était bon et bien cuisiné! Une seule envie quand on dort dans ce lieu: l'envie de rester plus longtemps ou de revenir C'est le meilleur hébergement de notre séjour. Bien que situé un peu en dehors, ce lieu offre un cadre tellement agréable que l'on ne peut pas être déçu. C'est l'occasion de se retrouver dans un cadre familial et à taille humaine. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit mais avions réservé 5 chambres, le même avis était partagé.

Room was new and spacious. There are lots of places to relax on the property, surrounded by greenery, flowers, cozy furniture, and artistic ornaments. You can really tell that the owner looks after the place with love and care. The owner’s family is kind and always ready to help. The location is a bit away from downtown, however not very far, and the road can be rough, but in return you get peace, quiet, and beautiful nature. I would love to visit again.

I wanted to have more Khmer breakfast options.

Nice building, nice room

Un havre de paix. À seulement 10 min en scooter du centre, ce lieu est paradisiaque. Tout a été construit par le propriétaire (meubles, maison…) avec beaucoup de goût. Les hôtes sont adorables je m’y suis sentie comme chez moi ! La cuisine est exceptionnelle et vraiment pas chère (plat copieux entre 3,5$ et 5$). Ils louent des scooters pour 7$ la journée et vous conseillent sur les lieux où se rendre. Le jardin est juste sublime.

Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren, schone grote kamers voor een goede prijs. Mocht je dit willen boeken zorg dat je het juiste adres hebt. Het ligt iets afgelegen.
