The location was great, and the family took such great care of us, with drives to places, showing us around, delicious food, it was all a wonderful experience to stay here.

Perfect location for all activities around Sigiriya, the hosts organised anything you needed. Family run stay with the best home cooked food and the friendliest environment you could ask for! The treehouse was beautiful with an amazing view of Pidurangala rock, a perfect place to relax and listen to only the sounds of nature.

Great host, helped us with planning our days. Even brought us to Pidurangala at 5am and also helped arrange bus to Dambulla. Property is clean and amazing jungle vibe, especially open air bathroom. Breakfast also very good.

The place is very beautiful inside the jungle and close to the main points to visit in Sigirya.

There is a missing triangle in one of the two treehouses, making it particularly noisy and windy at night. Moreover, animals could easily come inside. I would ask specifically for the other fully closed treehouse.

A beautiful stilt cabin surrounded by nature, with a lovely outdoor bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the incredible welcome from our host and his family. He organized several of our activities, took us to many places in his tuk-tuk, and gave us lots of great advice. He was always available, helpful and kind, and truly made our stay unforgettable. A huge thank you to him and his family!

Het slapen midden in de natuur was geweldig met alle geluiden van de natuur. Maar wat ons verblijf echt fantastisch maakte was de familie die zo warm en hartelijk waren en daarnaast heerlijk voor ons gekookt hebben.

The host family was very friendly and welcoming, and the women in the family cooked delicious dinners. Location was very convenient for climbing Pidurangala rock which we had a direct view of from our room. It was also easily accessible being on the public bus route. The tree houses are recently built and well maintained. The outdoor bathroom was a great experience. Don't be surprised by the lack of air con or fan - neither were required due to the wind blowing through the house.

That I didn't visit 2 years earlier, when elephants were still able to come close to the tree house!

We had a wonderful time at this location. The host family was very nice, always checking if we needed anything. The cousin even drove us to the Pidurangale at 5 o'clock in the morning for our hike and organized a safari for us. The selfmade breakfast and dinner was delicous and more than enough. The treehouse was a very special for us and the view was stunning. We will recommend this to our friends, when they are coming to Sigiriya.

The property has a slightly wild feeling given it’s a treehouse which is nice, good breakfast provided and lovely view. The hosts were very welcoming and the outside bathroom is nice.

I’ve given full marks and we enjoyed our stay but worth noting there is no walls in places of the room so small wildlife like birds/bats can come into the room overnight, you need to be okay with this to stay here but all part of the experience!

Die Familie ist unglaublich nett und fürsorglich. Wir wurden von ihm an jeden Ort gebracht, sogar um 5 Uhr morgens zum Sonnenaufgang auf dem Pidurangala Rock. Die beiden Töchter sind sehr aufgeschlossen und haben abends mit uns gespielt. Das Essen in der Unterkunft war sehr vielfältig und immer unglaublich lecker. Die Lage des Treehouse ist super, wenn man die Natur von Sigiriya genießen möchte. Große Empfehlung für jeden der den Ort bereist!

What a lovely place and family! Breakfast and dinner are one of the best I have had in Sri Lanka. Everyone in the family is really involved and dedicated that you have a nice time (e.g. helps you organize your day). It is a nice jungle experience, when you like nature.

Verblijf in een houten boomhut met een buitendouche, bij een superlieve familie. Ik mocht mee helpen koken, voor minder dan 8 euro eet je met z'n 2en van een heerlijke authentiek bereide maaltijd. De familie helpt je zo goed mogelijk, met ritjes, tours, tips en deelt kennis over de omgeving. Prachtig uitzicht op Pidurangala Rock. Slapen in de jungle is even wennen, maar wat is er veel te zien en te horen vanuit je hut! Leuke ervaring om mee te maken. Locatie is vanuit Sigiriya relatief makkelijk te bereiken met de tuktuk.

Waar we bang waren voor een zweterige nacht, was het juist relatief fris en moesten we slapen met veel kleding aan. Er was geen extra deken oid die we konden pakken. En de douche heeft alleen koud water ;)

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad! Zowel het ontbijt, de lunch als het diner waren heerlijk. Daarnaast is het een superlief gezin dat altijd klaarstaat om te helpen en mee te denken met de planning van activiteiten. Ze geven goede tips en zorgen ervoor dat je verblijf echt ontspannen verloopt. Echt een aanrader!

We really loved this place! The family we stayed with was wonderful and welcoming. It was a perfect intro, as it was our first stay in Sri Lanka. They introduced us very well to Sri Lankan cuisine – these were the best breakfasts and dinners, with homegrown fruits! You live surrounded by nature, so you get used to other “residents” as well, which weren’t so bad – just tree frogs, lizards, squirrels and birds. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, the beautiful view from the terrace, the open-air shower, and the cozy feeling of falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of nature.

Tolles Baumhaus mit Blick ins Grüne vom Balkon sowie der Terrasse. Die (kalte) Outdoor-Dusche war ein Highlight! Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Familie empfangen und haben die Safari und die Loris-Tour gebucht - beides hat uns super gefallen!

Wir waren aufgrund der anderen Bewertungen schon vorbereitet und hatten Ohrstöpsel für die Nacht. Der Wind kann tatsächlich etwas laut werden, aber dafür waren die Temperaturen sehr angenehm.

Esperienza bella "strong". Di per sé le case sono molto belle e curate, nuove e con vista sulla Pidurangala Rock (si riescono addirittura a vedere le persone che sono in cima). La problematica è che se c'è molto vento si riesce a malapena a dormire a causa del rumore e della luce; inoltre, una delle due casette non ha il tetto del tutto chiuso, il che purtroppo crea un effetto tornado. L'assenza di parte del tetto inoltre ti espone ad animali della zona: da considerare che si è praticamente immersi nel parco, dunque esposti a eventuale presenza di elefanti e scimmie (sebbene siamo stati rassicurati che ci sono i cani da guardia che impediscono alle scimmie di avvicinarsi). Fondamentalmente è come dormire in tenda, nella foresta. Tutto sommato però il proprietario e la sua famiglia sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. Consiglio ma per utenti consapevoli. Colazione buona.

Wat een ongelooflijk lief gezin. Samen maken ze er echt een feestje van. Welkomst met een drankje, niks is te gek en hij brengt je overal naartoe.

De lakens zaten een paar vlekken op, was wel gewassen en rook heerlijk. Dus het was wel schoon maar toch een klein minpuntje.

Bellissima famiglia. La casetta in legno stupenda e con vista sul monte Pidurangala. Siamo stati bene.

La camera risulta aperta nella parte alta, quindi in caso di forte vento può diventare fredda e rumorosa, ma vale la pena. Colazione nel nostro caso migliorabile.

Als je een ervaring in een boomhut en bij mensen wil, dan moet je deze boeken! Zeer mooie boomhut, goed gemaakt en je hebt prachtig uitzicht op pidurangala rock. Geen airco, maar het blaast ‘s avonds lekker door. Badkamer is ruim en mooi en schoon. Je doucht in de buitenlucht, heel leuk! De eigenaar en zijn familie zijn fantastisch. Elke ochtend heerlijk ontbijt en bij aankomst werd er lunch gemaakt. De eigenaar bracht ons overal naar toe, zelfs toen we voor zonsopgang naar de pidurangala rock wilden. Ontzettend aardige man die ons nog een citytour had. Absoluut een aanrader!!

Everything!!! The family, the location, the kindness, the helpfulness and the food :) It was soooo peaceful and calm. All of the food came from their garden and was freshly cooked for dinner … delicious!!! Everything was perfect. We felt soooo welcome and were not only given many ideas to make the most of our stay . Duminda drove us wherever we chose to go and picked us up once we were finished!! Honestly can’t recommend it enough, it is a truly special place

Leaving!

One of the most welcoming experiences we ever had. The whole family was involved in making sure we had a good time: the grandparents, parents, and girls. All of them are warm and open people. The father took us around in his tuktuk, even bringing us to the start of the Pidungarala Rock in the early morning; he arranged a safari for us; and we had diner there both nights, which was just delicious. On top of that you stay in a beautiful, self-made treehouse, with the best view. We were sad to leave, but will sure come back and recommend this place to everyone!

The tree house is a completely different experience than any other hotel or guest house we stayed at. The family there is super friendly and they have dogs and kittens, that are all absolutely adorable. They were very helpful with every question we had. When I come back to Sri Lanka I’ll definitely come back to this tree house. Also the food was amazing.

WiFi could be better.

The treehouse exceeded our expectations. It was romantic, peaceful, well-equipped and had the best views of Pidurangala rock, which you could see in the shifting light of the day. Although there was no air-con, the room has a fan and when the wind blows, there is a refreshing breeze throughout the space. The bathroom is beautifully finished and a shower al fresco cannot be beaten! The best part was Dhuminda and his family - he was always available to offer advice, support with onward travel, hiking tips and the most generous breakfast we had experienced in all of Sri Lanka. We extended our stay but wish we could have stayed even longer. Next time!

This was an extra special experience, Duminda and his family are the most generous, kind, interesting and genuine people we have met along our travels so far. They went over and beyond to make sure we had the best experience of the Sigiriya area. This booking is much more than just accommodation, it's a full immersive, local host experience. What you wish for when you travel to a new country - to get a genuine local experience. You should definitely book this!!!

The location is beautiful, with excellent views of Pidurangala rock. Our host and his family were very friendly and helpful. The traditional home cooked food made for us was excellent with very generous portions provided for breakfast and dinner. Our host offered to drop us off at both Lions Rock and Pidurangala Rock in his TukTuk both mornings of our stay. The treehouse was really clean and relaxing, with a big comfortable bed, mosquito net and a very powerful fan that allowed us to get good sleep despite the heat. The bathroom is very unique and probably our favourite part of the accomm - a walled outdoor toilet and shower with nice plants around that made it feel like a garden. Thanks to Duwinda and his family for a memorable experience.

The WiFi is very weak to non-existent, but you don’t stay in a treehouse in the jungle to get good internet!

Wonderful location and hosts. These are hard working people that are doing their best to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Both of which I did.

The internet -even off of my local e-sim was a little bit ineffective because Pidarangala blocks the signal.

This treehouse and everything that comes with it was just incredible. We cant imagine better first days in Sri Lanka (nothing can beat this place after we experienced it). Location, surrounding nature and its sounds at night - I haven never slept this good ever in my life. On top of that, the family that owns this place really made us feel at home, their two little girls Dewni and Nethu that spoke beautiful english kept us company and it was fun to be around them. If you love dogs, this place was heaven on earth, they have 5 lovely dogs and one of them little puppy Maxi, we miss all of them already. And last thing - the homemade food - super delicious, the beast we had in Sri Lanka. When we told them we expect a baby, they took care of me as if I was their family member, always made sure I had plenty of food and when driving us to the city with tuktuk, they made sure we hit no bumps on the rode. The best location ever with great view on pidurangula rock. The treehouse i also really awesome and they were really friendly. Would definitely recommend the treehouse!

Duminda and his family are truly exceptional hosts. They really cared about us with love. The breakfast was one of a kind with a great variety of different local food. The mountain view was unique, the treehouse was spacious and the shower inside the house with no ceiling was sg. I never had before: it really felt like in the jungle but with the perfect privacy.

Family was so great and helpful. They arranged breakfasts and dinners for us. Also they helped with getting around Sigiriya. Lovely family!

Wi-Fi does not work and Also the Sri Lankan SIM card did not get any Reception there. It is quite cold and moist inside and only a sheet there for two people. Would have wished a cleaner bed and mosquito net that would not have small holes in it. Make sure you understand that the shower does not provide any warm water.

The cottage is located in a beautiful garden with a view of Pidurangala Mountain. The owner is very nice, he has his own tuk-tuk which is a great convenience. For an additional fee we had transport at any time and wherever we needed. Breakfast and dinner were very good. The cottage is very nice, sleeping there is an unforgettable experience, but it will not be a good choice for people who are afraid of lizards, frogs, spiders or insects.

The water pressure in the shower is fine, but the water was not warm. However, it is acceptable.

Ideal location to hike Pidurangala and Sigiriya. The host Dominda even offered to drive us with his Tuk Tuk to the start of Pidurangala at 4:30am so we could get a head start on the crowds and enjoy sunrise. His family were the kindest and offered us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast. Finally, the tree house has a view on Pidurangala and is surrounded by tropical forest making it an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a once in a lifetime experience.

Nothing at all

Truly an amazing place, one of the best spots we’ve ever been to. It’s a single hut with a stunning view of the Pidurangala rock. The room was clean, and there’s a beautiful open bathroom downstairs. But what’s even better is the family. Fantastic! So, so incredibly kind. He took us everywhere—the lake—and even let us help with cooking in the evenings. In the morning, he took us to the rock and walked with us the whole way. He took such great care of us. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. He even dropped us off in Dambulla and waited patiently until our bus had left. So involved and genuinely caring. Truly, highly recommended!

It is a very private treehouse room in beautiful nature with a view of the pidurangala rock. Amazing dinner as well.

Our stay at Pidurangala view treehouse The treehouse is ideally located for the Pidurangala and lion rock climbs. Our stay at the treehouse was a bit of an adventure. Not something we would normally do. The accommodation was basic but comfortable. The only negative for us was the bathroom was downstairs but private. However the family were fantastic and made sure all our needs were satisfied. The breakfast was out of this world and they also cooked us home made meals, which we throughly enjoyed. The family had two young daughters ( Nethu and Dewni) who kept us entertained. We practically fell in love with them. Diwani - the owner has a tuk tuk and drove us wherever we wanted to go at a very reasonable cost. He worked out our plan for all our Sigiriya events. A kind, honest and great person. If you are up for an adventure with love, give this place a go.

The treehouse was small but cozy, from the balcony you have a beautiful view on the pidurangala rock. Beeing directly in the nature gives you a extraordinary feeling, especially in the night with all the sound from the nature around you. The host and his family are very very kind ans always concerned about our well-being. But the best thing about our stay was the food, which was really great. We got a delicious dinner which was one of our best foods in Sri Lanka. Don't miss the chance of this incredibly delicious experience

Bduminda was very welcoming, as were the rest of his family. A true homestay experience in a beautiful part of the country.

Just a note that you are in the jungle! So expect a cacophony of sounds & sights - it’s a pretty great experience!

The treehouse was very well made and the location was brilliant for both Lion Rock and Pidurangula rock. The host was incredibly helpful and made us a fantastic meal as well. We ended up booking more Home-stays as a result of how great this was.

It was just perfect escape. Host and his family will so lovely and welcoming. It’s such a lovely experience in a very private setting. Immaculately clean with great views of Pidurangala Rock. The family really looked after us with lovely food for dinner and breakfast. The rock is about 20 mins walk from the tree house or host will drive in tuk tuk. It is not walking distance to Sigiriya but we liked that. If you want to get there, host will take you. If you want to get to Anuradhapura, can highly recommend Amila, who is based near there and looked us for 3 days between Wilpattu and Kandy. There is no messing with the property name... this is a lovely treehouse with the perfect view directly onto Pidurangala Rock from the balcony upstairs. Dhuminda and his family were the perfect hosts throughout our stay and also cooked up an excellent dinner and breakfast. Strongly advise you to dine in this peaceful area, there's absolutely no need to make the trek into town. The treehouse is well-maintained and the bed is very comfortable. Had the best sleep I had in a long time! The downstairs bathroom has a nice open-air shower and the facilities are all in full working order and very clean. A great experience and top value for money!

We were overcharged

The beautiful tree house is located in the lovely arranged garden of a friendly family. It is a little bit outside of the main village. We would definately advise to rent a scooter to avoid multiple Tuktuk rides. The treehouse was really cool and nicely made with a big bed, a balcony, a terrace on ground level, and an open air bathroom. The view was amazing. All in all an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay.

Incredible Sri Lankan jungle experience in an actual treehouse! Duminda and his family made us feel like we were at home straight away. He drove us around to many of the local sites and we were welcomed into their home for a cooking class where we made dinner over a fireplace. All of the food was amazing!! Duminda’s wife and mother are spectacular cooks. The treehouse has amazing views of pidurangala rock. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it’s easy to spot lots of wildlife! It was sad to say goodbye. Favourite place and experience in Sri Lanka so far!!

It was lovely! Look, there are soms bugs around the treehouse but what else would you expect in a treehouse ;). The bed had a good mosquito net. In the morning the monkeys would jump on the roof. The host was wonderful and served a lovely breakfast.
