ASNA Homestay

This was in a beautiful setting with an accommodating host. However, I didn't read the fine print and they only had one bed in the room. It was far from town and we were on foot. Changed accommodation.

Had a great stay at Asna homestay. The host was lovely and very accomodating, he helped book us tuk tuks to Sigriya rock and guide us to the Dambulla cave temple which is a 10 minute walk away! The breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend!

The room was super clean and the owners were very kind.

The mattress was pretty hard.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par notre hôte qui a été très sympathique et de bon conseil, nous permettant de profiter de Dambulla et des alentours. Le logement était très spacieux, calme et agréable, entouré d’un beau jardin. Il est situé à 10/15 minutes à pieds du Cave Rock Temple de Dambulla ce qui est un vrai plus, et accessible via un chemin en pleine nature. Le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et très bon. Nous avons eu l’occasion de goûter différentes spécialités sri lankaises ainsi que des fruits frais provenant directement du jardin de notre hôte.

I stay in Jeewandha’s house, it is a homestay with his family. He is kind guy, helped me to buy the dinner while I was too tired from the long journey. And his house is very clean, very new bedsheets, smells good, and the mattress is comfortable and new. I usually don’t use the towel that the accommodation provided, but I felt it is clean enough and I used it. The toilet so clean, have comfortable hot shower. He has a big beautiful garden, when I left he offered me a mango from his garden, thank you, highly recommend!

Super-clean, comfortable, lovely veranda, nature all around, no traffic or other noise. Nice & easy walk to the cave temple, with peacock en route. Helpful host.

Host very helpful but sometimes a bit too much, and could be a bit unpredictable, like interrogating how many cups a day, even when we were using our own tea bags.

The host Jeewantha is very kind and keeps the whole aera very clean. Its a beautiful place, calm and near to the rock temple. The garden too is very nice. We enjoid our time and wish Jeewantha all the best in future.

Se encuentra en un lugar muy tranquilo, fuera del bullicio de la carretera principal. El anfitrión fue muy amable y nos recomendó un restaurante y nos gestionó el traslado en tuk tuk Habitación estaba limpia y era cómoda.

No es que no me gustase pero lo desconocía, el baño estaba fuera de la habitación pero no fue ningún problema, era amplio y cómodo.

Konukseverlik üst düzeyde. Kahvaltı güzel. şehirden çok uzakta değil ama şehir gürültüsünden ve kalabalığından uzakta doğa ile iç içe.

La maison était sublime avec un jardin très bien entretenu par l’hôte. De plus la maison se situe qu’à quelques mètres de l’entrée du Cave temple. Le petit déjeuner était très bien avec des saveurs locales. L’hôte nous a aidé à réservé un taxi pour nous emmener à Sigiriya à 4:30 du matin.

La casa è immersa nella natura e nella tranquillità ma a pochi minuti a piedi tramite un sentiero si arriva comodamente al tempio d’oro di Dambulla. La famiglia che ci ha ospitato è accogliente e gentile, la pulizia e i servizi sono stati impeccabili e anche la colazione era deliziosa! Inoltre sono disponibili ad organizzare le esperienze nei dintorni a buon prezzo. Consigliamo a tutti questa struttura!!

Wonderful owner, he prepared for us traditional breakfast -was realy delicious. He could also arrange safari trip and transport to another city, tuk tuk rental as well. Beds were comfortable. Air condition was working well. That was our best acomodation in Sri Lanka. We reccomemd truly this place. PS. Averyone have to try this honey-coconut creepes! We love it :)

Čistota od zápraží až po půdu. Dobré snídaně. Klimatizace a sítě proti komárům

Horší přístup k objektu - prašná cesta bez osvětlení plná psů. Trochu děsivé. U snídaně chyběli toasty, džem, pečivo, naopak byli k dispozici věci které jíme spíše k večeři, ale pán občas něco přidal.

We had an excellent stay at ASNA Homestay in Dambulla! The family room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room for all four of us. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and we always had hot water available, which made our stay even more relaxing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh fruits, juice, and a tasty local meal to start the day right. The hosts were kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. We were in Dambulla for a cricket match, and this homestay was in the perfect location—super easy access to the ground and just a few minutes from the city center. Great value, great location, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dambulla, whether for cricket or sightseeing!

Mr. Jeewantha runs an exceptional homestay. His house is located in close proximity to the famous Dambulla Cave Temple as well as Rangiri International Cricket Stadium - both which we visited which were great! We booked a non-A/C room which was great as the weather was cool enough not to need A/C. The Room, bedding, and bathroom we used along with the rest of the house are very clean as Mr. Jeewantha takes great pride in his house and business. We were welcomed with a natural health drink and some delicious cakes. The owner helped us immensely with local information and went as far as to help us book our further travels all the way down to Arugam Bay with a good driver. Mr. Jeewantha is a great man to speak to and I very much enjoyed learning about his past. While walking through the garden I noticed some raw cashews and to my delight within the hour I was invited to come and roast cashews. I have never had fresher nor nicer cashews. We were also lucky enough to eat jackfruit from his garden as it was the correct timing. I recommend this homestay to travellers, families and anyone who would like to explore genuine Sri Lanka. Thank you very much for your fantastic accommodation of myself and my wife. We really enjoyed and will miss your hospitality.

A truly memorable stay with a kind and welcoming local host. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us warmly with a refreshing welcome drink and genuine hospitality. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the Dambulla Cave Temple, which you can even see from the house! The home was spotless, bright, and incredibly well cared for. Breakfast was delicious. We felt completely at home and appreciated the peaceful, village atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a local, authentic experience near Dambulla!

Very nice house outside the city center in the green with friendly and helpful owners. A very sweet family takes care of everything. Superb home made breakfast. Walking distance to the temples.

The shower’s low water pressure was a little inconvenient, but other than that all was fine.

A wonderful place to stay the best breakfast in Sri Lanka it's a very clean Home, the host is a very helpful person nothing is too much trouble.

The place is cloce to shops, temples, it's in nature's heart. The room and the whole house is very cozy 😊 The brealfast could have been better actually, but after all, it was fine 😊 The owner is very friendly, very heartwarming person 😊

Nice size family room with working AC and comfortable bedding. We came there after trips to Sigiriya and Pidurngala and crash out until next day morning and beds were very comfortable. Jeewantha is an excellent host trying his best to provide a good service. Had a lovely chat over breakfast. Good location and very short distance to the town centre and cave temple.

Jeewantha is very nice and caring, we had a perfect stay in his house. The house is nice and very clean, with a nice garden in a quiet area and you can walk to the cave temple close by. Jeewantha arranged for us the tuktuk to go to sigiriya for the sunrise, it was great! The breakfast is very good, and you can also easily find food on the main road next to the house.

The property is really beautiful and well kept by the host. It is very close to the cave temple and also only a short ride away from Sigiriya. The room and bathroom are very clean and provide good comfort.

Great place to rest and visit Dambulla Cave Temple (5 min ride from the house) and Sigiriya (30 min ride). We spend there 2 nights. The place is quiet and very clean with a spaciuos porch and beautiful garden around. The host was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and varied, with vegetarian option. The location is perfect. We was feeling like in a jungle while staying close to the city as well.

It was very clean and neat room. Host was very helpful. They provided us Sri Lankan breakfast which is very good. Location is very close to Golden Buddha Status.
