Reviewed Mar 24, 2026Old World Charm meets Modern Convenience. The house is centrally situated, perfectly equipped, extremely comfortable and very well maintained. The personal touches such as fresh coffee beans, grinder and Moka pot, did not go unnoticed and were thoroughly enjoyed. As were the vinyl collection and player. The aesthetics in the house and surrounds are exquisite. The garden is a sanctuary, and I confess to sampling one or two Pomegranates to decorate my Gin.

Reviewed Dec 4, 2024The property is on a small plot with a lovely garden of shrubs and flowers in the front that gives privacy. The yard at the back also has a flower garden with ample space for a braai and relaxing under the huge trees. Overall, a very peacefull setting. The house is very big but has been renovated with double opening doors in most areas, also large double windows. This gives a very airy feeling with a lot of light. The kitchen is equipped with every item one could need.
There is a tv screen but no tv reception, DSTV or wi-fi. Mobile data is very poor. This is good as we could shut off propery on our 4 day stay. The owner has provided a very large selection of CD's, DVD's and a new gramophone with a very wide variety of vinyl LP records for every taste. We really enjoyed that. We spent the days under the trees and listened to music in the evenings or just read our books.

Reviewed Jul 31, 2024The cottage is very well-stocked and beautifully decorated. We loved the fireplace. Each bed had an electric blanket and an oil heater to fend off the minus-degree weather. Pierre met us at the cottage and gave us a map and a rundown of everything to do and see in the area.
The plug where the kettle is did not work, and the next morning, the plugs where the heater was plugged in were also out for some strange reason.

Reviewed May 13, 2024We loved our stay in Daisy Cottage. It's absolutely gorgeous designed and so cozy. It was 5star equipped and more as we expected. From coffee-beans, oliveoil, wood, electric blankets, transportable heater, a huge collection on DVD's. Its such a cozy home, perfect to explore the beautiful village, great for cooking and spend some nights at the fire place. On top, an easy and friendly communication with the host. Reviewed Apr 29, 2024Daisy Cottage was clean and comfortable. The "uithuisie" makes for a useful extra toilet/bathroom. We enjoyed browsing through the wide selection of recipe books in the lounge! The kitchen is well-equipped.
The garden has the potential to be stunning but is a little overgrown at the moment.

The kitchen is well equiped and the coffee was GOOD! Rene has more than enough DVD's for the movie /TV lover. The record player was broken, but the music available is amazing. Very well situated.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2023We enjoyed the interior and the contemporary art of this beautifully renovated old Karoo house. Eventhough we had some trouble in obtaining some firelighters, we had a very enjoyable and cosy evening in the living room in front of the fireplace. The turntable and listening to the old vinyl records was a definate hit! We enjoyed all the cultural nuances in the house. The contrast of the contemporary furniture with the old was refreshing. Paging through the beautiful coffee table books wilst enjoying some freshly ground coffee was delightful!
