Queenstown Mountain Getaway

The best place ever! Super comfy bed, great kitchen, very tidy. Every little detail is thought through exceptionally good – all kitchen utensils are present, and tea, oil, spices etc, bathroom amenities... This place is made with love<3 We will definitely come back here if we're coming to Queenstown again. 10000% recommended!

The apartment was very clean on arrival.

The air conditioning unit in the living dining area was not heating properly our first night; bed room and bathroom door hinges were squeaking loud enough to wake me up at night; kitchen knives were too dull to use for food prep. Owner corrected these 3 problems the next day. If you are taller than 66 inches/168 cm, you will hit your head on the exhaust hood over the cook top when using the burners. The fridge had a high pitched whine which you could hear in the bed room as well as the kitchen: owner suggested closing the bedroom door when sleeping, but then heating or cooling would not reach the bedroom. There is no "garden view" as indicated in the property description for the apartment (see photo). But you could sit in a chair on the small patio and watch aircraft landing at Queenstown airport, which is 3 km away by air, as planes followed the Kawarau river bed, 1 km away, to the landing strip. House and apartment is located in a dense housing area in a relatively new suburb of Queenstown. I agreed to paying a security deposit on renting the apartment for one week, but I received an email from a 3rd party site called "Truvi.com" one week before check-in, which required me to provide more personal information than necessary in order to complete the check-in process.

1. Cleanliness - really clean and orderly. sufficient cleaning tools. 2. Cooking - many items provided, which is excellent and I've enjoyed daily cooking and there's a dish washer. 3. House is perfect for long stay [almost a week] for us. We loved the location as we went Remarkables to ski for a few days and didn't encounter much traffic jam. The ski shed is a wonderful thing for us!

House was on the colder side, we are not used to the cold temperature indoors [coming from a tropical climate] and tried using the A/C unit with heating, heating blankets, but heating is lacking in the bathroom, very cold in the morning and after taking a shower. Understand from the host that ventilation in the bathroom is linked to the light switch to ensure people uses the ventilation often, but it also sucks out the warmed air quickly and makes the bathroom [and the bedroom] cold. The house can be better and we would definitely return if improved heating!

Super comfortable and cosy house with everything we needed. Located in a very new housing development just outside town. (It is so new that the road didn’t exist in our car satnav!) Easy access by car to local shops, a big shopping centre, downtown Queenstown and - most importantly! - the ski fields. You can see the access road up to The Remarkables from the house

Nothing - it was perfect for our family ski trip

Quiet suburb, far from the crowds and noise of Queenstown town, easy driving and parking. Close to shops and supermarkets. Very clean and well thermal isolated. All facilities provided and fully functioning. We haven't seen the host, but they were replying promptly to all our messages and we had an emergency number as well.

A light outside the house for accessing when dark would have been nice, but it's a very minor detail. We had few hours of Internet outage one night, but our understanding there was some maintenance work from the supplier.

Rebecca was a saving angel for us as our original booked accommodation in Queenstown was cancelled at the last moment for no apparent reason and all other places we tried were either greatly expensive or fully booked for those dates. Once we landed with Rebecca all was good.

Property feels a bit hemmed in by the neighbours with no fence between and a slight lack of privacy.

Everything about this property was exceptional. If you could give it 6 stars I would.

Queenstown mountain getaway is exceptional. Great location, clean and has literally everything. Pots, pans, cutlery, kettle toaster. Spices, salt, paper, washer/dryer clean white bedding, clean white towels, heatpump, electric blankets, you name it it has it. They cherry on top for me was the little finishes /torches. Definitely added to my favourites.

The apartment feels new and everything is working fine (from the kitchen, bathroom, heatpump, the laundry machine etc). It was great for a week of stay as it has everything we need. We came for the ski fields and the shed to store out gears is really thoughtful.

When I book this property, I didn't notice there is a security deposit (500) to be collected prior to check in, or, we are given the choice to buy a non-refundable damage waiver (55aud). That was new to me when i get closer to check in.

Unit was advertised as being suitable for 4 people, but the only bathroom was an ensuite to the bedroom. This does not work for 4 people staying in the unit., as the people using the pull out bed in the living area have to pass through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. No way is that acceptable, especially considering the high nightly charge for the unit. bathroom should have been accessible to all guests at all times. Tap unit in the kitchen was almost falling off, extremely hard to use. Owner was aware of the problem but made no apologies or discount for the inferior setup. Owner was living on site and made the stay unpleasant with constant messaging about how we were to park, to replace the outdoor furniture that was moved slightly. We did not feel welcome, more that we were just a money maker for the owner. Would not recommend you stay here.

Great location, cozy and warm house, it got everything you might need for a long term stay. Kitchen is well equipped 👍 We enjoyed our stay!

Bathtub drain stopper isn’t working properly, so for those who like take baths be careful, otherwise great shower, good pressure!

The place is clean and well maintained. It has everything we need during our stay.

There's nothing that I didn't like. Overall, it was the place that I would have expected. The photos on the website were actually the same we found them.

This property is beautiful. Perfect for a family holiday. Styling is amazing! Room to put wet snow gear was very handy and the beds were super comfortable.
