Shotover Country Cottages

Love the mountain views, it’s secluded from the busy town and traffic, and there is a full laundry and stove/oven we can use.

Nothing really, might be handy to have a dish rack considering there is no dishwasher.

The host was so generous to let us check in a little early which was great for our event timing. The place was so roomy and the bed very comfortable.

Location and facilities is fantastic!

The floor is quite hollow, when we walk our neighbours walk, we can hear it quite clearly.

Location is good and property was clean

Bed wasn't comfortable. There's two rooms attached so you can hear all the noise from your next door guests. It was harder to sleep hearing that noise.

Everything we needed in a gorgeous setting. This was a highlight of our stay.

Big room. The isolation away from the hussle of the city. 10-15 minutes away from Queenstown and Arrowtown.

The washing machine made your clothes smell like cigarettes. There was no oil or butter to cook food with for the stove or oven. Minimal milk provided which lead to us buy more milk and other essentials for ourselves for the week.

Place was spacious. Easy to do our weeks worth of washing and drying there. Large bathroom. Bed is king sized and very comfortable. Nice walks around the Shotover Country estate. Woolworths grocery shop a couple of kilometers away

Bonus points for being perfectly in between both main Ski/Snow areas and exceptional plane spotting location! Just a short drive from Queenstown too.

Perfect location, great size room, the bed is massive and the most comfy bed you could have, the view is amazing and love that you can see the airport and the planes coming into land etc

Just the flooring being very cold due to winter. I luckily had slippers but my partner didn’t so is quite chilly on the feet. Also bathroom heater wasn’t working.

The location was stunning. The room suite was a good size with very good facilities, including a washer and dryer.

Located in a quiet part of street of Shotover Country suburb. Great views over thShotover River.

A nice quiet location. Bus no 5 only 5 minutes walk away to the centre of Queenstown ( 30 minutes journey). Or join the Twin rivers cycle path to Queenstown.

The room was spacious, everything was clean and new. You get your own space and get a fantastic view. It's about a 15 mins drive from Queenstown, but with how busy Queenstown is, we found this to be a great location that was quieter but still near everything.

It had everything that we needed Cooking equipment and pans. Washing machine and dryer, Great big Bed. An amazing view looking down to the airport ,

Quiet (despite being under the flight path for Q’twn Airport). Main room got the afternoon sun, so despite being cold outside it was hot enough for shorts inside. Bed was excellent.

The refrigerator either froze everything or it leaked. Shotover is some distance from the centre of town. Around 9am the traffic was jammed and it took 10-15 minutes to get out of the suburb.

It had everything including the washing machine and dryer. It was away from the busy town and had a great view.

Es war sehr ruhig und die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön, um einen herum befinden sich die Berge und der Ausblick ist wunderschön. In der Wohnung ist alles notwendige vorhanden, man hat sogar die Möglichkeit etwas zu kochen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind per Auto, aber auch per Bus gut erreichbar.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen and laundry were well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The location overlooking Shotover Country and the distant mountains was very tranquil. It was even enjoyable to watch the nearby planes.

Had everything we needed and then some, with a fantastic view. While a bit outside Queenstown, Arrowtown down the road was lovely.

Sandflies got me after getting too comfortable on the verandah taking in the view at the end of the day!

Beautiful view overlooking Shotover and Queenstown. Duplex apartment with a kitchenette. Both kitchen and bath amenities including tea/coffee, shampoo/shower gel. Washing/drying machines available. Soft towels. Comfortable bed. Ample lighting and outlet availability. WIFI was excellent. 5-7 minute drive to Queenstown Woolworths/Pak n Save grocery stores. Very quiet neighborhood. Fun to watch the airplanes fly into Queenstown (didn't hear them at night)

Sehr unkomplizierte Abwicklung und Kommunikation mit den Vermietern. Die Location hat alles, was man benötigt, dazu einen sehr schönen Ausblick von der Terrasse aus. Waschmaschine und Trockner sind vorhanden, was wir sehr geschätzt haben.

Die Betten waren für unseren Geschmack zu weich und die Einflugschneise vom Flughafen schon sehr laut, da relativ viele Flugzeuge starten und landen.

Plenty of room including a lounge and well equipped kitchen. There are nice views over the valley towards Queenstown. The washing machine and dryer were a bonus. This property will suit those who don’t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. A car is required to get to shops and into Queenstown. There is plenty of parking space at the property. Everything in the property is modern and clean.

The property is in a really nice neighbourhood just a 20min drive from the centre of Queenstown. It feels safe and secluded. The property itself has everything we needed. The airport isn’t too far away and the planes comes into land right above which is quite cool

Very clean and nice place. No food, cafes or restaurants in walking distance. Everything is a 10-15min car drive away.

Due to the proximity to the airport regularly some noise from planes and helicopters.

Die Aussicht war wunderschön. Man konnte Flugzeuge starten und landen sehen, was für uns flugbegeisterte natürlich mega war. Gastgeber sind gut erreichbar.

Es war an einigen Oberflächen ziemlich staubig, das Wichtigste (Bad, Bett, Küche) war jedoch sauber. Lage ausserhalb der Stadt, Auto wäre ziemlich von Vorteil.

Great place, very central to what we needed and had all amenities. Good views and very peaceful. We enjoyed the plane spotting!

Loved our stay at this 'cottage'. An excellent, quiet and private location with a nice semi-rural outlook. The room was spacious and clean with excellent facilities. 'BONUS!' Being an aerospace nut, we enjoyed watching the airliners pass overhead on their approach to Queenstown airport.

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas ausserhalb von Queenstown. Mit dem Auto vlt knapp 10 Minuten. Ist super gelegen für eine Ankunft oder Abflug ab Queenstown. Ruhe Lage, trotz der Nähe zum Flugplatz. Gut ausgestattete Küche, das Appartment ist recht gross.

Did our own breakfast. The situation was amazing watching the aeroplanes come in through the gap between the cottage and mountains and then land at the airport. Lovely outlook from the cottage.

Needed a little maintenance - the handrail needed re-attaching. This did not affect our stay.

Komfortable Wohnung an ruhiger Lage. 20 Minuten Fahrdistanz zum Zentrum und der sporadische Fluglärm waren für uns kein Problem

Such an amazing property with amazing view, so close to everything but you feel like you get the best view and a bit of queenstown serenity.

Exceptionally well maintained and kept. Great size for a couple and very comfortable. Views. Sunrise and sunset photos are postcard perfect

First night was beautiful and quiet. Nothing but nature to be heard whilst sitting on the front porch looking out over the city and alps. Second night we had neighbours in the adjoining room. They had small children who insisted on running around all afternoon and up until 10pm or so. The timber floors amplified the footsteps of our neighbours.

NICHTS

我們在這裡住了三晚，我認為對自駕的旅客來說這裡也是探索皇后鎮的絕佳地點。房子很大，熱水供應非常穩定，房子的暖氣非常足夠，洗衣烘衣、煮點東西都很方便，感覺能夠一直住下去也沒有問題。房子在一個感覺與世隔絕的地方，但開車到皇后鎮其實也只有20分鐘的距離，我們認為這非常迷人。白天可以看見整個皇后鎮，晚上可以看見滿天星星，周遭非常安靜，超級浪漫！房東也是個容易溝通的人，我們因為滑雪行程臨時有變動，房東也大方讓我們寄放行李。

只有一個小小缺點：自助的鑰匙箱很難轉動，似乎有點卡住了，我們花了不少時間又請了隔壁的房客幫忙才得以解決

Terrific location if you want a relaxed self cooking place that has amazing views. The outlook is amazing and Arrowtown and Queenstown are only a short drive. It is in a suburban location so no restaurants etc.

We like the location and newness of the cottage.

Lovely little studio cottage overlooking Shotover with views to the airport. Really convenient for the Lake Hayes estate. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean.

Nothing, stay was perfect

The room was nowhere near as private as we were expecting, you could hear the footsteps from the adjoining room at all times.. especially when they are shuffling around from 8-10 to check-out, car parking was not clear so we had the neighbouring couple with their car right by our window, and using our side of the walkway and steps which had large windows and was really inconvenient especially considering it is a studio room. The room was also just equipped with a lot of faulty/ill-performing products ie. unreliable wifi, dated tv that only sometimes responds to the remote (this wasn’t even on the right wifi so that took a hot minute to sort out so we could access streaming apps), bathroom heater was sparking so we did not use, outdoor sensor light would turn on for half a second (was off before we’d put the car in park so we were using our phone for light), pedal bin.. but the pedal was basically not working etc. For the most part, they’re minor issues, but there were so many of them, it all added up and really took away from the experience.
