Good view

Parking. Very steep drive to a shared space with extremely difficult turning. Had to back out up the very steep drive because the turning area insufficient with owner’s car also in car port. Reluctantly decided to park on a very narrow street for second night

The location was wonderful and just what we needed as we do not get off our property as much as we would like. Getting up with a view of the sea and beach. It was just lovely thankyou. The facilities at the property were great too just so homely and comfortable. We also had a lovely meal at Maraetei Beach too.

We loved this place! Its location on Maraetai Beach was stunning; the furnishings were classy and calming; the apartment was breezy and comfortable and Jeff & Lisa communicated well. It was great waking with the sun in our eyes.

There was only one minor issue: the design of the bathroom basin and cabinet above meant you couldn’t easily brush your teeth or wash for face as the gap was too tight. Maraetai could do with a few more restaurants. The Foreshore Indian was great though.

Exceptional views and location overlooking Maraetai Beach. High quality furnishings and fittings. Easy walk down to the beach and various cafes /restaurants.

Location and apartment facilities were excellent. Views were dreamy. Hosts were super friendly and we would book again.

The internet was dropping out a lot when we were watching Netflix. But it wasn't a big issue for us.

Brilliant location overlooking the ocean. Beautiful views. Spacious apartment with modern amenities and stylish fittings. Hosts very welcoming and friendly. Short walk to the main street with restaurant and cafes. Enjoyed our short stay immensely.

Not a complaint but please be aware that car parking is very steep and quite a few stairs to negotiate if you had heavy luggage or had mobility issues.

Friendly host. Excellent location with sea views from the terrace. Well-equipped and clean. Quiet.

We were greeted by Lisa and Jeff on arrival as the weather was bad and they helped us off load the bags and food and park the car. The apartment was amazing.... Fantastic views along Maraetai beach... Very private... The apartment itself was modern, decorated beautifully... It was just like stepping into paradise. The bed and bedding including pillows the best I've ever slept in.... Everything you could imagine at your fingertips. Hightly recommend for couples or single people wanting a treat away from home...

We stayed in March this year. We enjoyed a beautiful drive along the Pōhutukawa Coast to this great location close to and overlooking the beach, turquoise waters, and Waiheke Island. The apartment was spacious and well set out, and the bed was super comfy.

The stairs for those getting older

The apartment was well furnished, modern and very clean.

Excellent views and the flat was very well equipped and comfortable for staying in. Cosy furnishings and designer layouts. Really made the trip a pleasure. The cafes down on the beach front were good quality too. The area has a great fun vibe to it with people enjoying themselves on beach etc. Owners had good communication with us in the run up to booking and clearly told us how to get entry and where to park. The flat also had bathroom shampoo etc which was a great bonus as kept the luggage down. Definitely would stay here again and for longer. 5 star ++

it had everything we needed -home from home feel but with amazing views of the ocean! nice & private apartment. extremely comfortable bed and bedding. The balcony with bbq & lovely chairs. lisa & jeff text us to offer any extra items we may need for our stay which was appreciated.

The view was fabulous. Good location to walk from.

The driveway is very tricky. The steps leading to the unit needed a clean, could only get YouTube on tv, there was no tea just an empty packet. It’s the small details that need attention.

The driveway is very steep, wouldn't recommend a lowered car. Pillows on the bed were very bulky, maybe have two options.

Great layout of apartment. Wonderful furnishings and linens. Comfy bed. Fabulous views from room and deck, great to watch beach goers, people on jetty, swimmers, kayaks, boats. Had everything we needed.

The driveway was very steep, though the owner offered to park the car. The coffee was not great, and long life milk is awful.

unfortunately the toilet hadn’t been cleaned, i would say that it was an oversight, but we did have to clean before using. Also there was normal tea to drink, must say though there was flavoured tea.

Beautiful view from the unit. The bed was extremely comfortable which rates high on my list as I have had back surgery. Modern unit clean and tidy with a beautiful view.

Jeff was very welcoming and helpful upon arrival, even providing options for dining out for the evening meal. While the apartment is above their home, there is minimal noise, everything was clean and comfortable, and the views were stunning. Great night's sleep.

Loved the view, and the house was amazing such a relaxing place to stay. I have never felt so relaxed and calm in an apartment. Loved the extras added like electric blankets and slippers for after a shower. Loved it so much that one night was long enough and have booked in again for the following weekend. It's truly hard to explain how beautiful, amazing and tidy this apartment is. The owners were also amazing and let us have a later check out time

Car parking was a challenge due to steep driveway

So much space! I was only staying the one night but could have moved in for a month. The views are stunning and it’s a tiny downhill stroll to the beach. So relaxing.

Location was perfect. We used to live in Maraetai and wanted to finish our NZ adventure there with the view we had. Apartment is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The perfect finale.

Parking is a little tricky but then we did have a Ford Ranger Wildtrack! Note there are two flights of stairs to the property but worth it.

everything, what a beautiful apartment, we felt very spoilt. Host was amazing with communication, views were amazing and the most beautiful apartment. We walked down for a lovely Indian dinner across from the water front. I really was outstanding, made a perfect end to a wonderful break away, thankyou so very much

The design of the apartment is excellent and makes the most of the fantastic view over the beach. Very comfortable and well equipped.

If I was being fussy I’d say that a dishwasher would be nice, but that’s definately not a deal breaker!

Bright and beautiful apartment at the top of a home - totally separate - with all the comforts (and more!) of home. Most gorgeous view, and within a three-minute walk to the beach and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, etc. Nice touches like magazines, coffee, tea, etc. Small fridge. Loved it all. Felt like home :-) Also within a 45-minute drive of Auckland airport.

The ONLY thing I would suggest is having robes to put on after showering.

A few 'extras' would have helped us as we'd only just arrived in NZ after a long flight from the UK. Some cooking oil and a cloth so we could wipe down the kitchen surfaces. Otherwise, all excellent.

Relaxing everything i needed and more

Spacious and well appointed with great views and easy access to seafront. Ideal, quiet stopping off point out of the city after a long flight. We may well see if it's available in a few weeks when we sadly have to go home. Owners very friendly.

Everything. Beautiful views, easy to find, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, comfortable bed! Couldn't fault a thing

Oh, I do not know where to start. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the location. When I finally made it to the property I was in heaven. The pictures DO NOT DO JUSTICE. Soothing colour palettes used all around the house. Amazing, minimalistic, and so tasteful. The blinds are so cool, I have not seen these styles before, if I ever own a house one day, I am definitely going to get blinds like these. I did not know if I wanted to go for a walk along the beach because I was just busy admiring the apartment too much. I even ended up in the toilet mid night, thinking ah I forgot to turn the lights on, and there it was lights right next to my head on the wall, it's so well made and thoughtfully put together. Now that I have stopped gushing about the apartment, the hosts are so lovely. I managed to also get a splinter in my foot. messaged them if I could borrow some tweezers (very typical of me, I have at least 1.5 pounds of toiletries I was carrying but not a single tweezer) I was thinking it was a bit too much to expect when it's a weekend and people have their own schedule. The hostess came by, with a savlon solution, needles, tweezers and a foot spa!! Thank you so much for having me I am surely going to be a regular, so watch out if most of the weekends are booked out.

Super friendly assistance with all our needs. The apartment is extremely comfortable in all aspects. Beautiful area. Will most certainly visit again.

the description was not clear in regards to the setup of the apartment, this is a studio on top of a house, which is connected through a staircase and only separated with a glass door. You could hear someone downstairs and see light and a little dog, as such not a problem but would have been nice to know up front.

The location was nice and the unit nicely appointed.

Stair access to the unit was a surprise and we were unable to park off the street. The hot water took so long to come through in the shower that I almost gave up.

Excellent communication with the host. It is newly furnished, quiet, has a very comfortable bed, a luxurios bathroom and stunning views. Very good value and highly recommendable.

Scented sticks no thanks. Some might find all the access steps challenging.
