Picturesque safe snd spacious location and ideal getaway with all the comforts of home.Lovely outdoor area with Pizza oven ,braai and jacuzzi which we enjoyed during our stay.Kerry was helpful and answered my queries before arrival.Appreciated stock of games and puzzles had the weather kept us indoors.We would definitely visit again

The frying pans definitely need replacing Extra toilet paper would have been a bonus Upstairs ensuite toilet seat needs repair

Une maison spacieuse, confortable, bien décorée, au calme et surtout à la vue incroyable sur les montagnes. Les hôtes sont à l’écoute et très réactifs. Ils ont tout fait pour nous aider.

Il ne faut pas vouloir utiliser le jacuzzi à bois en juillet-août (hiver austral) car il faut plus de 4 heures pour que l’eau chauffe. De plus, il n’était pas propre en raison des pluies les jours précédents. Quelques équipements peuvent également être améliorés : vétusté des poêles dans la cuisine et absence de sèche-cheveux.

The cottage is located perfectly in relation to the activities we wanted to do. We brought extra throws and blankets only to find that the hosts made sure we had enough so it ended up being uneccessary to use our own. The complementary logs for the fire place and hot tub were a specisl touch.

A little something to carry the logs from where they are kept to where the hot tub is. That would make it less of a work out and less time conuming.

Prachtig uitzicht . Elke dag werd er gepoetst op vraag. Wasmachine beschikbaar Heel veel ruimte. Alles wat nodig was om te kunnen koken.

Fabulous views, stunning location. Kerry was always available to answer any questions, and was always cheerful and friendly. Nelly was a star cleaning up for us, and having wood on tap at no extra cost was brilliant!

Cookware could be updated. Some electric blankets and bedside lamps weren't plugged in and ready for use. Would've been nice if jacuzzi was heated on arrival seeing as it is wood fired .

Beautiful , spacious yet cosy , had everything we needed , stunning views . Not close to anyone else so was peaceful , no noisy neighbours . Justine was so helpful from start to end , she really made it all so pleasant and comfortable

Pictures don’t do the place justice. The hosts were proactive and responsive. Most issues that were raised in previous reviews were attended to. The fireplace and electric blankets came in handy on cold nights.

The jacuzzi took over 3 hrs to heat up but was worth the wait. A few areas of the cottage need some maintenance to bring it to perfection.

The location was incredible, with amazing views of the central Drakensberg. Tranquil and relaxing, just what we were looking for. The house is quite spacious and well-appointed, all rooms face the berg and have en-suite bathroomsT. There is a lovely undercover verandah as well.

The woodfire jacuzzi was a nightmare. It took forever to get it hot. We had to supply our own wood (1st bag complimentary), which is an added expense, especially when you buy good wood that burns well. Because you have to add wood constantly, you have to be on the premises and cannot go out to enjoy the activities the valley has to offer. It takes between 3-4 hrs to get the jacuzzi hot enough. Not all the jets were working. It would be better to have an electric jacuzzi. The house needs some maintenance; it is looking a little tired. Plates & cups were chipped, missing essential-sized pots & knives, need new bread boards, and so forth. Could also do with a good spring clean. The garden needs some attention, too.

Liked that it is secluded and far away, it was so peaceful and tranquil a proper home away from home. Me and my family absolutely loved it. We loved the views from the balcony seeing the majestic Drakensburg mountains, we also loved that it has a jacuzzi.

When it rained the rain leaked inside the cupboards in one of the bedrooms downstairs also in the kitchen. There was also a very irritating smoke detector that kept us awake the whole night, but we sorted it in the morning with the help of the host.

Shiloh Cottage is a wonderful place with everything you need. Wonderful views on Drakensberge, perfect equipment, really friendly communication. We loved and enjoyed it so much

The location and views are stunning. Shiloh cottage is beautiful and has everything you need whilst on holiday. Justine was very helpful with information on places to visit and activities in the surrounding area.

The linen and bedding were stained and had a weird odour I reported to the host that the helper had taken a few items that did not belong to her. The jacuzzi takes extremely long to heat up so.stock up on wood bundles and get your own dishwashing swabs, cloths and sponges. Because of the recent storms, the main gate to the estate was left open and we did not feel very safe being the only guests for our stay there.

The cottage is outstanding and impeccably clean and well kept. The house is kept warm and cosy as the Drakkies are known for their cold weather. The hospitality was so beautiful. The facilities were great. We definitely enjoyed our family stay.

The accommodation was very well. The view perfect and the jacuzzi was very nice!

There was no soap and no brush to do the dishes, or we couldn’t find it…

The location is perfect for all those that want a break away from the usual city life. The serenity is unmatched and the coziness is perfect for the Berg.
