The room was okay. However, I didn’t like the fact that I found a maggot in the fresh orange juice. The kitchen staff needs to pay more attention to things like this.

Nous avons bénéficié d'un double upgrade à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de mon épouse: séjour d'une nuit (la dernière de nos vacances en Grèce) dans un appartement familial tout confort situé au-dessus de la brasserie Gargareta, au 2e étage, avec balcon circulant, 1 chambre invités, un bureau/vestiaire, 1 chambre parentale, cuisine entièrement équipée. Pour notre 2e séjour à l'hôtel, le personnel était encore aux petits soins. Nous avons pu goûter l'excellente cuisine de la Gargareta, qui fait partie du même groupe que l'hôtel Hérodion. L'hôtel a organisé notre transfert matinal à l'aéroport, avec un panier petit-déjeuner.

Good location, close to the major attractions. Room was small but bed was large and comfortable.

Was not disabled friendly, had steps to the entrance and also steps in the public areas with no ramps, but the staff were very helpful and eager to assist.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff was so accommodating. I will definitely be back. Vasili the concierge was extremely helpful and so kind.

Everything was exceptional. The room, good size, balcony to a garden, clean, crisp white bed linens, beautiful new bathroom, Nespresso coffee machine, delicious Greek breakfast, views of the Acropolis from our balcony, 3 minutes walk to the Acropolis entrance and to the Plaka area full of restaurants. Absolutely prime location. Hotel personnel took care of our transfers, sightseeing and taught us what to be careful about dealing with providers outside the hotel. After visiting the Acropolis one day very early in the morning, I returned too late for breakfast. The ladies in the kitchen were sorry for me and they sat me at the table and fed me with whatever they had in the kitchen and fresh coffee. All in all, it was better than a five star hotel. The personal attention we received was above any expectation.

Eigenlijk alles, de ligging was perfect alsook het ontbijt. We hebben diner genomen op dakterras wat ook heel lekker was en de gezelligheid met kaarsen toen het donkerder werd maakte het af. Ook in bar super gezellig met uitzicht op Acropolis.

The location was fantastic. Very close to the Acropolis and Plaka district. Easy to access from the metro. The breakfast was delicious as were both the Atrium restaurant and the rooftop restaurant. The rooftop restaurant and the jacuzzi patio had great views of the Acropolis.

We had an interior room which was okay but a room with an exterior view would likely have been nicer.

The bed was one of the best ever slept on. You could even customize the pillows and sheets… Room was dark and quiet. Wifi worked throughout the time there. Shower was really nice. Location was so close to the metro and tourist locations. The rooftop bar at the site made the whole end of our trip worth it.

Mini fridge could’ve been colder.

Hotel spettacolare, molto comodo, bello e accogliente in posizione strategica ai piedi dell'Acropoli. Al nostro arrivo il personale è stato gentilissimo ad accoglierci, mostrarci tutti i servizi e accompanarci alla camera. Viaggiando in occasione della nostra luna di miele l'hotel ci ha fatto trovare in camera un bel vassoio con una bottiglietta di spumante al fresco e un bel cesto di frutta ad accoglierci, una sorpresa non scontata e molto molto apprezzata! Per riprenderci dal viaggio di andata con il volo al mattino presto abbiamo subito usufruito delle vasche idromassaggio sul rooftop che godono di una vista spettacolare sull'Acropoli. Veramente stupendo! Colazione al piano terra molto buona, ricca e varia. Anche il bar/ristorante sul rooftop merita una degna nota di apprezzamento sia per il panorama sia per la qualità del cibo, drink e gentilezza del personale. Sicuramente ci torneremo perchè è stato fantastico e ci siamo sentiti coccolati!

Non ho trovato nulla che non fosse sotto le mie aspettative.

The roof terrace is exceptional. The Hotel staff was beyond friendly and helpful. A real difference! I would stay there again next time! The view of the Acropolis is truly something!

The have a thing going with their pillows, but I could not work it out. The ones they supplied were uncomfortable - too thick, even thought he were praised as memory foam. The offered a long list of exchange pillows, but with two nights only, no point.

Nice clean rooms. Really beautiful view of the Parthenon from the rooftop where you could have dinner which was delicious. Highly recommend the food there.

The room was a little tight, but part of the problem was I had booked a triple so there was an extra bed in the way. Our room also faced the back alley, but it was quiet, which was nice.

Lobby area was attractive. It offered me a great place to work in with nice music and lovely setting. Breakfast was available at 7am, very generous and delicious. Staff was professional, helpful and courteous. Clean and comfortable beds. Great location to land on your feet in Athens. Roof top bar was a bonus.

Our room had very tight quarters; limited walking space between the edge of the bed and wall. No toiletries. Thought I was getting a garden view but the room faced the street. I was too tired to request a change. It was fine for our short stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Herodion Hotel. The location is fantastic — perfectly situated close to the Acropolis, beautiful restaurants, cafés, and plenty of shops, all within easy walking distance. The atmosphere around the hotel is vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect base to explore Athens. What really made the experience special was the staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Their hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. A wonderful hotel in an unbeatable location — we would happily stay here again.

The only small downside was that there is a primary school next door, so during school hours you do hear children playing and some daytime noise. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind if you are very sensitive to noise or hoping for complete quiet during the day.

Wonderful location essentially right next to the acropolis and acropolis museum. Hotel property very well kept, only slight negative described below.

There was a sewer gas odor in the bathroom. Others have complained about it. If someone is extremely sensitive to this, be sure to ask them to move your room - apparently it does not effect all rooms equally.

The location is excellent. You can walk everywhere. The acropolis museum is just down the block. The restaurants in the area are good. The staff is so friendly and helpful.

The shower head broke and they sent someone to fix it. They just stuck it back together, so it fell apart again!

Great hotel, staff, rooms were perfect. The superior room with the acropolis view was amazing. The upstairs roofdeck was awesome. The jacuzzis were great.

The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the Acropolis, with restaurants, bus routes, shopping, and charming cobbled streets all right at your doorstep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, with a special mention to Nicoletta at reception, who went above and beyond to assist us. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the beds made for a great night’s sleep after busy days exploring the city. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, with a good variety to start the day.

Staff and location were excellent; front desk staff very helpful in organzing tours and gave good guidance on options. Porter most helpful and considerate. Public areas, dining room and bar were very welcoming and comfortable. Food service was helpful and efficient.

Bed was too soft. Bathroom smelt of drains (room 415). While the view of the Parthenon was excellent, the curtains were too small for the window and the floodlighting could not be screened out. Room cleaning was a bit hit-and-miss. Bathmats were not always present; tissue box not replenished. Dining room menu had very limited choices - with more options and we would have eaten in-house more often.

Hotel website and booking.com listing claim that air conditioning is provided. However, it is turned on/off seasonally - not provided in April - and room was hot at night.

Location! Pleasant & classy entrance and stairs to rooms. Rooftop bar opened - spectacular views.

Exercise area is silly & insulting. People who exercise aren’t kidding. It’s standard to provide at least a private, clean, comfortable safe area - even small scale, with two or three machines, some hand weights etc.

Ligging was top, vlakbij de Acropolis, Agora, winkels, restaurants, metro, bushalten en Acropolismuseum. En toch heel rustig en veilig gelegen, in een propere straat. Wij hadden een kamer aan de achterkant, met zicht op de Acropolis, dat was fantastisch. Er was een schooltje, maar dat was dicht (paasvakantie), maar sowieso zou je daar geen last van hebben ‘s avonds en ‘s nachts. Het was super rustig om te slapen, je hoorde niets. Fles water en wijn op de kamer. En klein koelkastje. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en heel goed verzorgd, je kwam niets tekort, er werd goed bijgevuld. Ook altijd plaats om te zitten, en er werd goed afgeruimd. Vanaf het dakterras een fantastisch zicht op de Acropolis, vooral ‘s avonds met de verlichting was het magisch. We hebben ook gebruik gemaakt van het transport van/naar de luchthaven, dat was perfect in orde.

In de beschrijving van de kamer stond “met balkon”, en op de foto ‘s zag je duidelijk een balkon met een tafeltje en twee stoeltjes. Ik had echter een “Frans balkon”, wat slechts ca. 30cm breed was, dus waarop je amper kon staan, laat staan een stoeltje zetten. Dat vond ik een teleurstelling, en dit had in de beschrijving vermeld moeten worden.

Excellent emplacement

The location was really good, right near to the Acropolis. Made it very convenient to visit in the morning and get ahead of the queues! The breakfast was also really nice and plentiful. The staff were very nice, I appreciated the front desk having 24 hours availability. Felt very safe as a solo woman.

Nothing, except that the bed being on wheels was a bit annoying as it moved a bit. Also couldn't figure out how to get the safe in the room to work. But apart from that it was great.

I had a great stay at the Herodion Hotel during my weekend trip to Athens. The location is excellent, just a short walk from major attractions, which made exploring the city very convenient. The staff were one of the highlights of my stay — always friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side considering the price, but they were comfortable and well-maintained. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely breakfast, great location near the Acropolis and Acropolis museum, a quiet street (also with lovely restaurants nearby). The staff were lovely and completely fine with me checking in at 2am because my flight landed late. I checked ahead and they communicated well with me. Very convenient that the front desk is 24 hours.

Nothing really, the room was quite small but that wasn't an issue for me as I was travelling solo. The bed moving on wheels was a little bit annoying. Also the fridge was small, but that's not really a problem.

The location cannot be beat. We booked a triple room for a family of four to share because our children are tiny and often share a bed. The check in employees explained we couldn’t do this but they upgraded us to another room for only $25 more a night. Room was lovely. Bar is so cozy and nice on the rainy days we were in Athens. Truly great.
