Beautiful views, cute quirky room. Bed was super comfortable. Big room
Comfortable hotel with extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Staff, breakfast. So appreciate being let into my room early so I could change for a wedding
The duvet. Made me boiling when on and freezing when off. Suspect synthetic. Would have really appreciated being told about water in room and drinks station.
Room was cosy and comfortable with good wifi. Restaurant was exceptional, with unusual and quality food, Best food we have had in the UK for a very long time. Breakfast really good. Staff were very friendly and very professional
Only complaint was we had to leave!
Breakfast was superb, a lovely atmosphere, very chilled.
No background music in bar area, ironically there was in the dining room.
Wir haben leider kein Abendessen bekommen. Die Zufahrt war etwas abenteuerlich
It has a nice feel and food was good.
Evening dining was rather pricey…
Beautiful location overlooking the bay The meals were all first class 😋 Staff were both friendly and helpful
I wasn't aware until I got there, that the kitchen was closed on Monday's and Tuesdays. No cooked breakfast those mornings but more importantly. No lunchtime or evening meals available. Also the evening bar was closed. All other days were perfect.
The property down stairs was lovely
Up stairs out on the terrace the furniture was old the table had a hole in it and it all looked very tired
Easy motorway access
That it was close to the motorway and therefore noisy
Prestations irréprochables et très bon rapport qualité prix
Location - stunning views from the terrace
Sadly too many stairs to the bedroom We were informed way in advance to my stay
The highlight of our trip was swimming at a wonderful cove, Maidencombe beach, which is a steep 20 minute walk down (and back up!) from the hotel. It also has a fabulous cafe which serves delicious breakfasts and lunches
A gem in the country side
The homely feeling of family run manor hotel
Beautiful quiet location to explore the Devon coast
Everything was lovely
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. We were let down by an Air BnB host on the day of our travel, and so this was a last minute booking - and worked out in our favour. We were upgraded room wise and it was absolutely beautiful, spacious and clean. The sea views from our room and the restaurant are wonderful. The food is absolutely fantastic here too! We had a fantastic time and would definitely return. Highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel with a professional but relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant food is excellent especially the dinner menu. We had a lovely suite which was very comfortable with amazing sea views. We will return. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Continental breakfast on tuesday was v. Good. The staff were nice. The terrace was lovely. Parking was easy. The lounge was pleasant. The hotel decor was well-maintained.
Be aware that rooms described as second floor rooms are in fact attic rooms, one with a flat roof, one with a skylight. Our stay was during a heatwave.
Loved the view from everywhere, superb location. Room was large and comfortable with a really comfortable bed. Food was good, staff were attentive but not obtrusive. Lovely place to relax.
Nothing.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They were very good at helping my wife choose her evening meal, altering dishes if necessary. The restaurant, bar and breakfast room were beautifully set out, and the outside terrace was perfect for drinks any time of the day
Nothing really!
Breakfast staff
Rooms need updating , not a good representation of the photos
Nice comfortable room; welcoming staff.
When the a/c unit outside my room it pumped out cooking smells (not from current cooking service as the restaurant was closed). The balcony was a bit tired. An older building so perhaps fewer electrical sockets than one would hope for these days.
Die Lage war gut
Wir hatten nur eine Übernachtung und das Restaurant und die Bar waren geschlossen und es gab keine Möglichkeit sich unten im Hotel aufzuhalten.
Great location, friendly staff, food good using local produce and our room had an outside seating area which was a bonus.
The staff were amazing, especially Kirsty. Nothing was too much trouble and service was always delivered with a smile.
The dinner menu. Very pricey and overrated.
food was excellent , and staff friendly
Stunning setting, great food, great staff
Good location
Apart from one body lotion there were no shampoos, soaps or conditioners !!
I liked the character and grounds
Nothing comes to mind
Dinner was very good.
No real areas for improvement. The stay was as expected.
Beautiful views, great location, stunning rooms and decor.
Food was excellent and the whole place is without fault.
This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic. The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail. The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right. The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view. Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.
Nothing
Beautiful hotel and staff were extremely polite and professional

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had the most amazing time. The coach house was perfect, and we absolutely loved having our own hot tub such a special touch and a great way to ring in the New Year. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The fireworks were absolutely awesome and made the night feel extra special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate one of the best stays we’ve had and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend!
Very nice stay but got very expensive
Paying £300 for a meal for two plus £70 for wine and then they ask for a £4 supplement for the cheese board , It ended up costing us over £800 for two nights, very greedy people
Great room
Awkward turning into hotel...but we got there
Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and plentiful. The dinners were excellent really enjoyed the venison. On a level with any of the Michel star restaurants we have visited. We will again, for the food!
Room ceiling! Also head board.
The hotel is amazing
Nothing to dislike
Very welcoming staff, clean, lovely dinner and breakfast
-
Room, view, breakfast, staff.
Journey through lanes at night to get there ( following sat nav. ) No gym...
The whole experience was good
A real ‘at home ‘ feeling. Excellent staff and service.
Notice in bathroom telling me the toiletries could be purchased and what would happen if I took them (my card would be charged)- made me feel as though I was being given an unnecessary warning. Likewise about making sure the shower curtain was inside the bath when showering otherwise water would pool on floor and seep through to room below. I feel this is unnecessary - shower curtain is outdated and should be replaced with a good quality bath screen and the floor should be adequately sealed then the problem would not arise and the ‘warning’ would not be necessary.
A Great find! Comfortable room and lounge, friendly helpful staff and quiet location.
Everything a bit out orestone manor is superb clean comfortable and the whole setting lovely home from home friend had a wedding party here and it was lovely as loads of different areas to relax in and food was good all the staff are friendly and so relaxed
Nothing
Food was delicious and all the staff were very efficient and caring.
Room comfortable although a 5ft "topping" on a 4ft6in base bed was not so comfy and not what we expected!!
Lounge areas and bar comfortable and friendly staff.
room very small and bed not very comfortable too soft. Breakfast smoked streaky bacon not to my partners taste and mushrooms lacking flavour.
Excellent dinner, lovely location and great hosts
Very personable greeting and well looked after during our stay. The staff were all very obliging.
Really comfortable cosy room with lovely view. Excellent food creatively prepared, well presented and absolutely delicious. Even the Full English was beautifully cooked and a wide range of other choices available.
Nothing, all was great and thoroughly enjoyed.
Lovely and out of the way. It had a very friendly feel and the team was all very nice. In particular the gentleman that greeted us on our late arrival. Would love to return again.
I had no issues
The hotel was beautiful and the staff very friendly, the room was pleasant with a decent size en suite bathroom, very good location for travelling round Devon - absolutely met our needs - there is a walk down to a beach also - the hill IS very steep as they suggest haha!
Quite a lot of stairs which some people might not like - other than that, it was great
Food was amazing and staff all great.
Nothing.
Lovely location and all staff were really helpful and friendly Had dinner which was absolutely superb, great value and the best Coley and Steak we've had in a long time.
Room was gorgeous! Food was amazing, Breakfast and dinner really delicious, staff so pleasant. So comfortable, not far from the beach and town easily accessible by bus. Absolutely loved the stay.
In a beautiful location. The Manor is very tastefully decorated. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff are great and very helpful.
Everything was lovely ,the room large and spacious. Roast dinner was the best we ever had! Super clean everywhere. Great location
I didn't like the receptionist bursting in our room when we had the do not disturb sign on . She could have knocked and waited till we answered because she had just seen us settling up at reception and knew we were in the room . Felt like she was trying to catch us out doing something wrong or something we weren't supposed to do ( which wasn't the case ) . Good thing we weren't having "alone time " or changing . Felt like invasion of privacy when she could have knocked and waited for a response . Either way bursting in like that didn't feel good 😕
Liked absolutely everything. The most wonderful room and view. Fantastic restaurant and food and service. Great receptionist - so helpful. Wonderful 5am walk down the the cove to see the sunrise. Thank you for a fantastic stay (May time)
Nothing. It was all perfect
The room and ensuite bathroom were very big and we had a beautiful view of the garden & sea in the distance. We didn't have breakfast included in the price, but we decided to have it on two of the mornings and for the extra £10 per head it was great value and very good. We thought the idea of having a fridge on the landing with bottles of water was a really nice touch.
Extremely comfy beds with lovely soft linen
The furnishings are a bit dated but you could say it’s part of the charm!
Our suite was amazing
The breakfast wasn’t great. The hot tub blew out lots of dirty water and scum when switched on initially.
This was a lovely little boutique hotel with THE best breakfast going. Delicious full English and continental brekkie. Lovely comfortable rooms. Highly rated.
It was a little pricey but it’s expected for Devon at this time of year.
The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly. Lovely views. Quite a small hotel which is nice
It is a little bit rigid. You have to book a time slot for breakfast & you couldn't eat out on the terrace
Food was exceptional, the staff very friendly and hospitable, lovely and cosy room. Wonderful hidden gem.
