Wir hatten eine angenehme Zeit in dieser Unterkunft, besonders gefallen hat uns der Ausblick von der Terrasse beim Frühstück. Die Einrichtung der Unterkunft war sehr gut, mit einem modernen Bad und sogar einem Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach für Eiswürfel. Auch der Host war stehts hilfsbereit und konnte uns sogar einen Roller vermitteln.

Das Moskitonetz über dem Bett hatte leider einen unangenehmen Geruch, wir sind aber auch gut ohne dieses zu nutzen ausgekommen.

The property has an incredible view of the mountains, from afar you can see a waterfall. The room is very large with everything you need, even a hairdryer. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

Great location if you love the view and don't want to be in the city. The property is 5 min from the centre and to get there there is a downhill slope of about ten metres, so not very comfortable but Ella is all that.

Die Unterkunft war einfach super! Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, und der wunderschöne Ausblick hat den Aufenthalt besonders gemacht. Die Gastgeber waren zudem sehr nett und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Ich kann diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

Malheureusement la chambre est extrêmement humide et il y a de la moisissure dans la salle de bain. Malgré le ventilo ce n’était pas super agréable

Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich zum wohlfühlen! Vom Balkon hat man eine unglaublich schöne Aussicht auf Ella Rock, Little adams Peak und einen Wasserfall - man ist quasi mitten in der Natur im Dschungel und hört deren Geräusche. Morgens erhält man auf dem Balkon ein super leckeres Frühstück von den Gastgebern. Wir haben einen wunderbaren Kochkurs bei den Gastgebern in deren Küche gemacht und dabei viel über das Land erfahren. Wir hatten hier tolle 3 Tage, nach Ella Town kann man unkompliziert zu Fuß gehen (15 Minuten) oder per TukTuk. TukTuks oder Taxi kann man über den Gastgeber unkompliziert arrangieren lassen. Insgesamt absolut zu empfehlen, wer eine ruhige Unterkunft (abseits des Trubels von Ella Town) sowie tolle Gastgeber sucht.

The view at this property is lovely. All properties in the Kathal Ella area have this view as it is high up in relation to the town centre. The accommodation owner was kind enough to arrange two transfers for us prior to our arrival. The driver he recommended, Chamil, is a very reliable, professional and intelligent person to ride with.

Almost everything apart from the view and the driver. The accommodation is very basic and dank. The family don’t live there, so you are basically in a self-contained room on your own. There is no aircon to take some of the dampness out of the room - all of our clothes became damp after 3 days here. There is a clothes rack, but no hangers. There is no shared kitchen, nor is there a washing machine or a dryer. There is no daily housekeeping: we were there for 3 days and the room wasn’t cleaned once. Our experience of breakfast was not good. We went there with high expectations given the reviews, but left really disappointed. The food was salty on the first day and when we politely tried to ask for a little less salt, the owner decided to serve us up a dish of boiled vegetables the following day - as though we were ill. Yum!!! I don’t drink tea or coffee, but I was never offered an alternative, such as fruit juice (as seen in pictures) and not even water! We never tasted a hopper of any description here. Very disappointing. Lastly, the family are hardly ever there, so I can’t even say that they were friendly. They just gave us a little food in the mornings, locked up and disappeared. By far our worst experience in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka.

Little far from center - very steep way, but we krew it before booking so wasn’t a problem. And for the nice views you HAVE to be in upper location in Ella. But there is a shortcut to the center if you go on foot;)

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed it. The location has a nice view of Ella Rock, which made the stay extra special. The room was clean and comfortable, and the host was very friendly and welcoming. We especially appreciated the meals – both breakfast and dinner were cooked for us, and everything was very tasty. The host was always willing to help with anything we needed, which made the stay feel warm and personal.

The place is quite far from Ella town, which makes it hard to find a Tuk Tuk, and pick me don’t usually come out here. Also, there’s no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable during hotter times.

Wat wij vooral superaangenaam vonden waren de lieve uitbaters! Je kon hen alles vragen & ze stelden ook vaak zelf dingen voor zoals, het regelen van een chauffeur, het huren van een scooter. De kamer was simpel, maar netjes en proper en je had alles wat je nodig had (ventilator die goed werkte, ijskastje). Daarnaast was de douche ook echt zalig! Lekker warm en goeie waterdruk! Heerlijk om onder te staan na een grote wandeling. Elke ochtend was er ook een lekker ontbijt beschikbaar, dat je kon nuttigen terwijl je op je terras midden in de natuur zat. Ik zou het zeker aanraden.

Wir wurden freundlicherweise für einen kleinen Preis vom Bahnhof abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gebracht. Das Zimmer ist sehr einfach eingerichtet ohne besondere Dekoration. Dafür gibt es aber ein großes und bequemes Bett mit einem Mückennetz. Am Abend wird es kühler und man kann lüften, wir haben deshalb zur Sicherheit dann den Mückenschutz genutzt. Im Zimmer hatten wir aber fast keine Mücken. Auch die Dusche ist gut, mit vielen verschiedenen Funktionen. Bei Fragen wurden wir gut beraten und wir konnten einen Roller für 2,5 Tage mieten. Dieser war in gutem Zustand mit guten Bremsen, die man in Ella auch braucht. Wir mussten zwar als erstes Ziel die Tankstelle ansteuern, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Morgens gab es immer Frühstück auf der kleinen Terrasse serviert. Der Ausblick war durch Bäume verdeckt etwas schlechter als erwartet , aber trotzdem noch toll. Auch die Weiterfahrt zum nächsten Ort wurde zu einem fairen Preis für uns organisiert. Die Kommunikation lief komplikationslos über WhatsApp.

Im Dunkeln mehrere Ameisen im Bad, die tagsüber aber verschwunden sind. Ich denke das kann man in der Natur verkraften.

Wir hatten einen eigenen Bungalow mit schöner Sicht auf Ella Rock. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wurde jeden Tag frisch nebenan von einer netten Dame zubereitet und auch auf unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst. Die Inhaber waren sehr liebevoll und hilfsbereit und haben uns bei Fragen bezüglich Wanderungen, Aktivitäten und Zugzeiten weiter geholfen.

Keine Klimaanlage, aber war mittels Lüften durch große Fenster und Ventilator trotzdem sehr angenehm.

Everything was perfect. The spot is very clean, the View is amasing. The bed is very comfortable, we did not want to left. As Ella center is noisy, polluted, here you have fresh air and calm. A few restaurants at 200m, and you can reach Ella center by foot in 20 minutes. The owner arrange everything, like trip to falls and tea plantation for a very good price. Do not hesitate, this place is what you want.

Está muy limpio y los desayunos son abundantes. Nos vinieron a buscar a la estación de tren y nos gestionaron el alquiler de moto. Ubicación tranquila y vistas a la selva.

Wonderful place! The views were great, the food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing! There is only 1 room here so you have the whole place to yourselves! the family who manages the property is lovely! They are so kind and generous. They organized an excellent on-site cooking class for us (I highly recommend doing this with them while you’re there). Best place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka!

10/10 best accommodation we stayed in Sri Lanka in our 3 weeks here. Amazing value for money. The room is like new , bed so comfy , shower is absolutely amazing. One of the best showers I’ve ever used. Breakfast was amazing each morning , served to us at our front door. Really kind people. Would come back here any time I’m back in Sri Lanka. If you are coming to Ella , this is 100% the place to book!

Everything was perfect. The hill down to the property is a bit steep but our tuk tuk was well able for it

Very beautiful view! The accomandation was very clean and it's very private, because it's just one room for the turist. The host was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was also delicious! Would recommend!
