The view was amazing. They were improving the main dinning and communal area, which will be even better once completed. The staff were amazing, everyone took pride in doing a great job. Food was great. Plenty of choice and the taste was great.

The window vents in the bathroom. When using bathroom you can hear other guests talking and moving outside. Makes privacy hard.

The staff was great. We received a welcome drink at check-in. The food was nice. The room had all the amenities and the view of the mountains was great. You can see a waterfall from the room, although it was dry due to lack of rain.

The last 500 m to reach the place is quite steep and difficult to drive. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow and not the best

I loved the hosts they were very loving and made us feel so comfortable perfect room size for 5 guests. 10 minute walk into town with perfect views of waterfalls and monkeys and birds

Only view was good

We had booked the room for 2 days..but the room was full of insects...despite the door being closed..and the mattress was full of insects living in the mattress..we changed the room and stayed only one night..but they did not refund our money for the second night.

The hospitality and the view from the balcony was top Notch. Staff is very helpful and our overall experience was amazing!

Hillcrest Ella has really amazing views. You can view the entire hill range including the Little Adam’s peak, Ravana Falls and few others. If the timing is right, you can also see the famous Sri Lanka train pass by through the mountains. The hotel was also very sweet to give us an upgrade when we informed them it was our anniversary trip.

Location and the view from the rooms is great.

The hotel is in the city but in a slightly remote location. However, the view was exceptional. From the hotel, you could see: - Little Adam's Peak - Other mountains - Waterfalls - Beautiful scenery The rooms were spacious and had almost all the amenities. I would say it was a great stay. The breakfast was also very good.

Pokoje były brudne i nie były sprzątane. W pokoju ogromna wilgoć i zapach grzyba. Nie wymieniani ręczników, które praktycznie nie wysychały od wilgoci. Do hotelu przejeżdża się przez wysypisko śmieci.

Het was een heel fijn verblijf. Je wordt echt vriendelijk ontvangen en het personeel is heel behulpzaam. Onze dochter werd ziek, gelukkig kregen we alle hulp die we nodig hadden. Ella zelf is prachtig, de temperatuur is aangenaam. Het uitzicht vanuit je kamer is bijzonder mooi! Een aanrader!

רחוק ממרכז העיר, רחוב צר ממש להכנס עם רכב. חדר מסריח מעובש.

у нас было два номера: один с большим балконом, второй — с большой комнатой и маленьким балконом. постель и полотенца были идеально чистыми, но дорожка на кровать и ковёр оказались очень грязными. в ванной тоже было не идеально чисто: вытяжка в плесени и волосы на полу. также странно, что в номере нет жидкого мыла для рук и шампуня. завтрак в отеле очень простой, локальный. зато вид из номера потрясающий!

Отличный вид на водопад. Удобные и большие кровати. Отзывчивый персонал. Нам всё очень понравилось 👍

Et enkelt hotell for kortere opphold. Frokosten var veldig god og personale var helt fantastiske. Nydelig utsikt og vi fikk ta med oss en ekstra venn på rommet uten ekstra kostnader.

Det er naturligvis kaldt i Ella og derav opplevdes rommene som veldig fuktige, men det må man nesten regne med. Vi hadde likevel et flott opphold under de få dagene vi var der.

Nice view and big rooms. Overall pretty quiet so sleep. Receptionist was friendly.

The room was very outdated and it wasn't clean. There was dust everywhere, there were birds on the corridor and it didn't smell good. Breakfast staff was very awkward.

As with most places in Ella, Have to drive in a steep narrow incline to get to the hotel, can be tricky if weather is wet.

It was a horrific experience overall. One of the staff members in the middle of the night tried to get into our room in drunken condition from the rear balcony door, don’t know what his intentions were. My young daughter was horrified. There was no one to attend to us at that time of the night, I had to call the manager, who came and tried to pacify us. Don’t know what action the management took against this rouge staff member. It was a horrifying experience.

Очень грязно в комнатах, везде пыльно, сантехника черная с белым известковым налетом. В комнате был огромный таракан, после предыдущих жильцов осталась пустая бутылка из-под колы, в ванной комнате кусок использованного мыла. Чтобы добраться до отеля нужно в начале заехать на гору, потом очень узкий опасный спуск вниз. На завтраке тоже всё скудно и грязновато. Под балконом огромный козырек нижнего этажа.

The best view! Nice hotel, rooms are spacious. Hot water! Great blankets (after hostels sheets it’s a wow bonus!) we slept great. The staff was very welcoming.

Немного потрепанный вид, требует небольшого косметического ремонта. Дверь в комнату - со сломанной ручкой. Но в целом не повлияло на впечатления.

The view is exceptional!! And the staff so friendly and helpful. They didn’t just help us be comfortable in our stay but also helped us by suggesting where we can go in sri lanka and what places would be good to stay at. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay in Ella ☺️

We booked a room at Hillcrest Ella expecting a stunning view and a comfortable room. The view was stunning, but it was ruined by the construction work that they were doing in the lobby area. The workers were working right outside the lobby, which kind of ruined the experience. Since it was a bit cold, they could have provided sandals inside the room. :( :(

The view was like nothing we’d ever seen before! Spectacular. It was away from the busy town, but close enough for a cheap quick tuk tuk!

Mr. Hedly was absolutely amazing. From the little thoughtful touches during our stay to helping us get around the city, book taxis and tuk-tuks for sightseeing — he took care of everything. Super helpful, lovely staff, and an overall wonderful stay with great value for money. Highly recommended!

While the room views were amazing, the location is a bit tucked away and uphill, so we had to take a tuk-tuk for every trip to the market. Even though the rides were inexpensive, we still needed them at least twice a day, which added to the cost. That said, the exceptional service more than made up for it — truly a great stay overall.

Wifi didn’t work at all, at breakfast we were served raw eggs. Cracks all in the walls in the bedroom and stains on the bedding

A boy named some Ayodhya, actually should be called ROWDY Ayodhya,has a very bad behaviour, doesn't know how to deal with their guests. Breakfast is worst,what we had in our 12th day of tour in srilanka. We stayed there for 2 days and room clean they just refilled, no brooming and mopping the room. There is tuk tuk service from hotel side for going down from stiff slope but he is taking money in cash for that, and when we insisted to take tuktuk money in card he just rudely said not possible and was telling about accounting and all. Overall its a bad stay and bad experience among Rowdies.

The view is the best. You can see the hills, the fountain, train from the balcony. The view is panoramic. The bathroom has a window from which you can enjoy the picturesque view. The beds were comfortable. The dining area is really nice. You can see the views from the dining space also.

The location is a little remote, and the road is sloppy and not convenient. But this is the case with almost all the good hotels in Ella.

I liked the balcony view, The staff were very good they were cooperative and friendly.

Hotel avec une très belle vue sur les montagnes (avec une cascade au loin juste en face), et très calme. Personnel très agréable et à l'écoute. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres, une chambre double très correcte, et une chambre triple Deluxe avec une très belle vue (avec une grande baie vitrée sur tout un pan de mur qui donnait sur une très belle vue sur la montagne, d'où on peut voir le lever de soleil). La restauration sur place est bonne. A proximité du centre d'Ella, possibilité d'aller facilement dans les restaurants du centre en Tuk Tuk (un peu éloigné pour le trajet à pieds), et on apprécie d'être au calme et à l'écart du bruit du centre en arrivant à l'hotel.

Notre salle de bain avait de mauvaises odeurs de canalisations. Pas de coffre fort dans la chambre. L'hotel est situé en contrebas d'une route avec un accès difficile pour les véhicules (chemin avec forte pente), de ce fait notre chauffeur nous demandait de monter le chemin jusqu'à la route principale tous les matins car ce n'était pas facile de descendre et remonter ce chemin étroit et très pentu avec son Van, idem pour les Tuks Tuks qui préféraient nous déposer en haut de la route, pas un problème pour nous mais bon à savoir si problème de mobilité.

Personale super accogliente e gentilissimo. Ci hanno accolto dopo essere scappate da un’altra struttura in Ella alle 9 di sera e ci hanno anche gentilmente preparato la cena fuori orario. Stanza super confortevole e molto grande, con una vista mozzafiato. Sia la colazione sia la cena erano ottime.

Miejsce polecam, spełniło nasze oczekiwania. Czystość jak na sirilabce, inne standardy. Problem był z łazienką ale po zgłoszeniu problemu pokoje zostały wymienione. Personel bardzo miły. Sniadanie w bardzo dobrym stylu. Di miasta oczywiście tylko tuktukiem ale to standard do którego przywykliśmy. Miejsce godne polecenia.

We made a last minute reservation but this was such a pleasant surprise. Thanks to the team. And also, you will enjoy one of the best sunrise in Ella if you wake up early !

La vue depuis la chambre et le restaurant La chambre familiale est spacieuses. Le balcon très agréable.

Les serviettes et les draps étaient tâchés.

Es gab nichts Ansprechendes. Nach der Ankunft wollte man so schnell wie möglich wieder abreisen.

Die Einrichtung ähnelt eher einer Wohngemeinschaft als einem Hotel. Das Personal war zwar freundlich, jedoch entsprach der Rest nicht den Erwartungen. Der Eindruck von Unfertigkeit und die Abnutzung des Mobiliars waren deutlich wahrnehmbar.

Helt fint hotel. Hyggelig personale. Likte veldig godt variasjon på frokosten. Fint størrelse på rommet. Fantastisk utsikt!!!

Standarden ift prisen var ikke som forventet. Balkongen var ikke så hyggelig. Kunne ha hengt opp hengekøye eller noe annet for å nyttiggjøre plassen og få mer ut av utsikten.

Booked family room with balcony. Good pleasant hotel staff All windows were left wide open when we checked in . Bathroom was neat . Towel provided was extremely dirty No cupboard or cloth hanger/ stand in the room which does not make sense. Road to the hotel is very narrow and steep . Impossible to walk so will need to depend on some sort of tuktuk Charged 3% extra to my hotel rate ( claiming it was their policy ). If so they should have mentioned it on booking.com No Ac and only fan. Sofa and others were not neat. Overall a very average experience. Internet is very bad They even charge for a extra water bottle

Die unfassbar traumhafte Aussicht und die super lieben Mitarbeitenden. Zudem haben sich alle stets bemüht und uns sogar mit dem TukTuk unsere Koffer den kleinen Hügel hoch transportiert.

Die Auswahl des Frühstücks hätte etwas erweitert werden können (besonders mit Bezug auf den Kaffee).
