Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Lovely hotel, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very close to shops, lots of restaurants and the beach. Very clean hotel, the public toilets in the hotel are always spotless. Loved the fact there was always sunloungers available even when getting up late or after spending the morning at the beach, we never struggled to get some. Large rooms also. Would definitely recommend spending the money for pool view room.
The only negative we found is the pool really, the cleaning solutions or whatever is used in the pool turns white/light swimwear yellow. It has managed to come out now we are home and on a hot wash but during the holiday we struggled to clean them. The balconies were also quite small but it didn't bother us too much.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Die Appartements sind groß und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, das Bad riesengroß mit Badewanne, Dusche, WC und Bidet. Die Küchenausstattung ist ausreichend, selbst gekocht haben wir aber kaum. Wir haben diese Anlage aufgrund def Lage uns der Größe (nette kleine Appartement Anlage) ausgesucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Absolut herausragend ist die Sauberkeit - das Appartement sowie sie gesamte Anlage werden täglich laufend gereinigt - alles war blitzsauber! Die beiden Pools sind sauber und gepflegt und hatten eine angenehme Temperatur zur Abkühlung. Liegen am Pool waren ausreichend vorhanden. Es gibt eine Bar in der Anlage beim Pool, die nur tagsüber geöffnet hat und die Gäste mit Getränken, Snacks und kleinen warmen Gerichten zu absolut fairen Preisen versorgt. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und ausgesprochen freundlich - man fühlt sich sofort willkommen! Die Lage ist sehr gut - der Strand, Ist fußläufig in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Rund um die Anlage sind einige große Hotels, Bars und Restaurants gleich gegenüber.
Die Unterkunft selbst ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das sieht man am Mobiliar, aber alles ist top gepflegt und blitzsauber!

Reviewed Mar 12, 2026The location is ideal. There is a taxi stand right at the bottom of the street and a bus stop two blocks away. The place was quiet during the off-season in February. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept on. The staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. The entire experience was positive.

The staff are absolutely amazing and the apartments are well stocked with kitchen equipment. The pool area is very nice. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Definitely value for your dollar!

Reviewed Nov 15, 2025Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem mittelgroßen Hotel. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und man fühlt sich wie daheim. Man ist zu Fuß in knapp zehn Minuten am Strand. Besonders im Herbst kann man die Sonnenauf- und - untergänge in Olhos de Agua genießen. Es ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen entlang der Küste (nach Vilamoura und Albufeira). Die Bushaltestelle liegt etwa dreihundert Meter entfernt. Ein Supermarkt mit regionalen Produkten ist in fünf Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, so dass wir jeden Abend selbst gekocht haben. Es gibt aber auch zahlreiche Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025El departamento es realmente muy grande. Tanto la cocina, el living, la habitación y el baño (con bañera y dos piletas) son super amplios. Todo en perfecto estado, muy limpio y ordenado. Muy lindo edificio. La cocina está totalmente equipada, con mesadas de marmol muy grandes, alacenas muy cómodas y cuenta con una mesita con 3 sillas muy cómodas. En las fotos de la publicación no me di cuenta del tamaño. Incluso tiene un pequeño patio. La vista de mi cuarto no era la mejor (daba al estacionamiento), pero muy liminoso y abierto. El personal es super amable y atento. Pedimos un par de ensaladas en el bar, las prepararon en el momento y estaban muy buenas y no eran caras. La piscina se veía grande y bien mantenida (no la usamos) Es una zona tranquila y cómoda, a diferencia del centro de Albufeira. En auto son unos minutos. La Playa Barranco está muy cerca a pie y es muy bonita y con actividades.

A sign at the bottom of the hill directing ubers and taxi's up to reception would be a welcome addition ( for some reason they kept waiting at the bottom of the hill carpark which was a difficult walk for our elderly members )

The only thing i didnt like was the bar across the road open to 4am and load. Kept me awake BUT that isn't the fault of the hotel. I just prefer to be away from the noise BUT i would and will defenitly go back and just bring ear plugs or something to block the noise out. I should also note that my neices i shared with sleptnin the bedroom i was in the sitting room and they never heard the noise and slept great.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2025Voor het eerst in Aquamar, geweldig goede keuze. We zitten hier een week. We zijn al eerder in Olhos de Agua geweest. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, complimenten voor het hele team. Maar ook voor de eigenaar / manager waar het personeel positief over is. Iets om trots op te zijn. Het hotel heeft een prettige en persoonlijke sfeer en is kleinschalig (28 kamers). Appartement ligt gunstig tov restaurants en de 2 stranden (kleine strand 10 min en grotere strand 15 min lopen), alles dus op loopafstand. Heerlijk om ook een strandwandeling te maken. De keuze is reuze aan restaurants om de hoek. Supermarkt is 10 min lopen. Het hotel heeft ook 2 zwembaden met ligweide, altijd bedjes en parasol beschikbaar. Ook heb ze eenvoudige hapjes en drankjes bij het zwembad. Kamer is eenvoudig, maar goed, kompleet, zeer goede bedden en wordt iedere dag schoon gemaakt. Handdoeken om de 2 a 3 dagen. Appartement is voorzien van alles, geen vaatwasser, maar afwas die er staat wordt tijdens schoonmaak ook gedaan (misschien vanwege de fooi 😀). Auto kan je voor de deur parkeren. Olhos de Agua is een gezellige niet te drukke plaats, in sept / okt nog heerlijk (strand) weer, mooi strand en goed aanbod aan restaurants.
Miste wel koffiezet apparaat op de kamer, koffie kan je wel halen in het hotel tijdens openingstijden. Ondanks dit puntje een dikke 10.

I was there for my niece's Wedding so variuos family members arrived over the next few days welcomed by Jose and the rest of the team, as well and all felt the same way. All the team were extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The cleaning staff were also amazing so clean both in the apartments and throughout the hotel, pool and bar and so peaceful both during the day and night. I would highly recommend Aquamar for families, solo travellers and couples alike Paola I imagine you are very proud of your team! I will definitely be back! Obrigada a todos :) Roisin

Personal muy amable, Paula y sus compañeros se portaron fantasticamente, muy serviciales y atentos. Apartamrntos son grandes,comodos y limpios.El menaje de cocina es cierto que es demasiado justo, pero si les pides algo que necesites,ellos te lo consiguen al momento y te lo proporcionan. Nosotros les pedimos un tendedero para colgar la ropa humeda de la playa y piscina, y un colador para la pasta y ensaladas, y nos lo consiguieron en 5 min.Nevera un poco pequeña para 3 personas en adelante.Instalaciones limpias y accesibles.Piscinas muy limpias,cesped natural,muchas amacas,muy buen estado todo.El gimnasio muy pequeño y caluroso en agosto, pero funcional y suficiente para mantener la forma en vacaciones.El bar nosotros lo utilizamos poco pero los mojitos estan muy buenos.Lugar donde se puede descansar. Una vez mas destacar el servicio de Paula y sus compañeros. Aparcamiento dentro del hotel barato, merece la pena.
El escaso menaje de cocina, las sartenes no son muy funcionales, se pega todo. A tener en cuenta que estos apartamentos no tienen lavadora, si vas para bastantes dias hay que ir a lavanderia, cerca hay una bastante buena de calidad precio.

Beautiful pool and garden area, lots of sunbeds even for a large family group of 9 in peak season. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and helpful, from reception, bar and cleaning staff, nothing was too much trouble.

Tout est payant en supplément : le parking, les serviette de piscine. Le service laverie excessif 15€ pour une machine. Pas de machine à café dans l’appartement Une table sur la terrasse avec 4 chaises serait bienvenue. Obligés de manger dans la cuisine, très juste pour 4 , toute petite table avec 3 chaises et un tabouret. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour mais le rapport qualité prix doit être amélioré
