Une merveille. Tout est parfait. L’accueil chaleureux.
Everything
Breakfast was very slow nearly an hour But food was good
Beautiful building. Bedroom was very generous in size with lovely bathroom. Gardens stunning. Had a great spa. Staff very friendly .
We stayed here whilst attending summer sessions festival . Was about 5 miles out but were told that we could order and get a taxi easily . This wasn’t the case. Was a nightmare to be honest. Definitely download uber as all taxis just hung up when hotel rang them. Rooms lamps not all working . Staff slow to serve at bar.
Comfortable stay, dinner at restaurant very nice and staff all friendly.
Extra charge to use Spa
Beautiful house. The chandeliers are breathtaking and the decor is beautiful throughout. However the best thing about our stay was the staff. Possibly the nicest, smiliest, helpful and chatty staff ever. They were delightful. We also loved the Wellness spa which is a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences. It was bliss. We had the best Indian head massage. We ate twice in The Church restaurant in the grounds. Again the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. It is a lovely cozy restaurant. Worth a visit. We came for the Summer Sounds festival which was great but our stay was made so much better by the experience at Rockhill House.
We didn't realise we had to ask to have our room done/cleaned so we didn't have our bed made or room tidied during the stay. I think this should be done without having to ask.
Excellent breakfast
Hard to say
The staff in the main hotel and restaurant are lovely and created a great customer experience. However the spa staff were less helpful and misled me in their pricing which meant I was overcharged.
The Spa. Was misled in my booking and charged 55 euros for use of the Thermo suite. As a resident this was over priced as it is but I booked a treatment and it was to be included but they reduced my treatment time without my consultation and charged me for the spa.
Everything was fabulous we couldn’t ask for more perfect
Comfy bed & gorgeous room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast service was quite disorganised but the food was tasty. The throw on our bed was very badly stained but it didn’t really matter as we threw it aside.
Very well presented , both building & gardens. Staff were very accomodating.
Nothing
The young man greeted us with a warm welcome! He showed us to our rooms and then around the house. Absolutely gorgeous place and the view is amazing. Everything you need on site restaurant, spa, walking trails and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended and I will definitely return.
Very comfortable large bed. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The decor was unreal. The opulence surprised us.
This quiet, beautifully decorated house, surrounded by manicured garden walks in beautiful countryside gives guests an oasis of calm and wellbeing.... Would highly recommend not only a stay at Rock Hill House but also a delicious meal at the Church Close by. No visit is complete without spending time at the Wellness Centre - sublime. A five star experience, where the staff are so friendly and helpful. One looks forward to one's next visit and stay there. Can't wait
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful place , lovely staff
Nothing
Set in a beautiful location and the hotel itself is just divine. It was like a set from downtown abbey. Staff were amazing, food was really good. We had a meal in the restaurant down the lane and breakfast on the hotel.
The spa closes very early.
Stunning property but empty feeling, soul less. A little misleading as we thought all rooms could avail of Spa but it’s an extra cost of £49 each which we were not expecting. Decor fab, grounds fab,
You need to make your own fun. Could do with maybe a guitarist or singer to ease awkward atmosphere. Having to pay extra for Spa
What an amazingly beautiful place from beginning to end tour stay was brilliant the staff are fantastic, friendly and professional nothing was to much bother to them they are a credit to the Hotel special mention to Alex who was a wealth of knowledge in the history of the building and of the gardens. Would highly recommend staying here I would give it one hundred stars if I could thank you all at Rockhill house for a great stay can't wait to return 🌷
We had 2 nights booked but on arrival the hotel was closed. We subsequently found out the owners decided to close on a Monday and Tuesdays but we had not been told of this so we arrived at the property. Hotel looked rundown. Grounds were unkept (grass not cut and flower beds full of weeds. Water fountain full of stagnant water. This would ex[plain the owners decision to close for 2 nights !!!
Excellent location accommodation exceptional with beautiful decor
This is an amazing location. The staff where extremely helpful and we will return in the not too distant future.
This was a last minute treat and it exceeded all expectations.
Lovely room and the main house and grounds were spectacular
Very poor information on arrival. Confusion over how to access car parking and which one to use. Very poor directions and signage to room and property facilities provided on arrival. Room number 24 was located inside rooms 25 and 26 with no number 24 sign provided. Electric gate didn’t work on departure.
The Breakfast is amazing. We also had dinner in restaurant the previous evening, and the food is truly delicious.
Was interested in history of the location and house. The sauna /spa closed at 1700 hours and only opened at 1000am. Compare that with designated sign in and leave policy. So it's just bullshit. When I actually physically visited the spa... Attendant was asleep on the reception couch and couldn't speak either English nor Irish. Very disappointed
Large room and huge bed, a small kitchenette. Smart TV and a shower and large bath. More than you'd expect from a hotel room.
Nothing.
Spa and room was 1st class
Girl serving in restaurant was a bit rude
I love the quiet calm environment that is so personal and relaxing. I felt like we were the only people in the hotel.
Housekeeping could have cleaned the room when we were at breakfast.
Beautiful location and accommodations. Welcoming staff and great service. Great breakfast and a touch of luxury.
Pregnancy massage Breakfast
Lack of information during the stay, had to ask all the time
Rome was comfortable and large but the hotel lacks character given its position
I am not impressed with being charged by both booking and the hotel direct after giving my card for any extra charges which was impossible as nothing is going on in the hotel
Room was bijou but lovely, house and decor was really impressive. Grounds looked well laid out but unfortunately the weather was poor so didn't get to enjoy it. The Church restaurant was excellent with very good staff
No bar service, very limited variety, no on tap beer when we stayed. Breakfast very poor first morning, but much improved on second morning.
Room was absolutely fabulous everything about it fabulous the dinner in the church was 5 star 🌟
Breakfast was bad pancakes burnt & egg shell found in Breakfast also
A beautiful country house. The breakfast was amazing too. An extremely good nights sleep. We will be back.
I liked the staff, the whole experience was good.
The staff were just amazing, I really haven’t had service like this in a long time. This property has so much spirit. I will be back for sure.
Absolutely nothing.
Friendly staff
Thought use of the spa was included
Все понравилось, особенно чистота и персонал, очень внимательные работники, спасибо большое. Еда очень вкусна. Атмосфера уюта и роскоши. Рекомендую
A quiet location with spacious rooms.
Breakfast could have been better, lack of fresh fruit and a charge for cappuccino which is a little mean.
Large rooms, nice grounds
Breakfast a sub par, needs more variety and fresh fruit
Beautiful location and building.
Some minor updates would make it wonderful. Reduce the heating in the rooms. Like a sauna on arrival! EV chargers. USB ports. Body moisturiser.
Beautiful old Manor House
More signage needed within house
Everything about the property was excellent
Nothing
The location and views.
Nothing
Very good breakfast
Lovely presented period property with immaculate grounds. Coach house conversions exceptional
Liked everything so relaxing beautiful garden
Beautiful location, very friendly staff. Modern spacious rooms spa was excellent
Restaurant was really cold.
Great breakfast. Beautiful rooms.
Double bed - would have preferred super king but understand the description was 'large double'. Beer from upstairs bar wasn't great but once staff got it from the downstairs bar it was much fresher.
Liked its privacy & quality of finishes in the property
No issues whatsoever
The location. The staff were fantastic. The wellness spa was amazing.
Nothing
Everything. What a breathless place. Love it.
Nothing
Beautiful house and grounds, very friendly staff - touch of luxury! We stayed in the courtyard rooms which were outside from main house but super spacious, with a little kitchenette and a big bath and went to the main house for drinks by the fire, we had a wonderful stay!
The thermal spa access isnt included in the price- usually we expect to be able to access the spa as hotel guests, but its a seperate enterprise so had to pay €49pp to access it, which is just worth noting. We did pay though and the facilities were great, really worth it!
Charming steeped in history
No entertainment but knew this when booking despite staying over new year. The gate is often closed and on our first night the restaurant is on the outside the button to request opening is not obvious in the dark and not advised how to operate same on day of departure it took three goes for it to open fully. No obvious reason why it’s closed during the day
We loved the whole experience .We were so relaxed and chilled.
Nothing!!
Beautiful location and we dined in the church and had bed & breakfast
Breakfast was very busy but a little all over the place.. we were served by 4 different people but waited 25 mins for our breakfast which was lovely when we got it simple changes having salt & pepper and butter on each table would really help the staff as well. Dinner in the Church was nice but our food was cool when we received it so had to wait to have it redone again
Lovely room and Bed The peace and quiet The food
Nothing comes to mind
Staff were very very obliging. Nothing was a problem Lovely rooms and food excellent Also very homely
Everything was excellent
Beautiful courtyard apartment. Spacious and clean. Staff we encountered were friendly but not forthcoming with information.
Absolutely no atmosphere in hotel itself. Staff gave no information on check in. We received no information on where breakfast was, check out time, hotel facilities, local amenities, etc. My husband and I nicknamed it the Marie Celeste - very few staff or guests around. We booked the hotel as a treat before Christmas and it had no Christmas atmosphere at all. Beautifully decorated trees outside, and in the hotel windows but it was a very surreal experience. Signage from Letterkenny is abysmal. I hate to leave such a negative review
Room was great, spa was really good , dinner was lovely
