Toddys Hideaway

Location was perfect and Ashling was a great host. The facilities were everything we needed. Clean and beautifully decorated. Even left us some bread milk and eggs for us. Very comfortable bed and a nice quiet area.

Aisling was a super host, very helpful and always at the end of the phone. Cottage and Hideaway were very warm and cosy. We really appreciated the stove after long days in the cold and rain. On top of this we had our horses stabled on site. I was also very thankful that I could have my mascot collie Milo with me. Super location - within 20 mins of Cavan Equestrian Centre , Cavan town centre and local shops. Thank you Aisling. We would definitely book again.

A beautiful, quiet place perfect to stay and relax

A perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but close enough to everyday amenities. Aisling was a perfect host, and on hand, if required. Information leaflets about the Cavan area were available in the cottage.

Lovely warm welcome from the owner who is very accessible and shared local information and knowledge that was very helpful.

I wanted to immerse myself in the Irish countryside and I wanted to have some rest and quiet reflection about ancestors who came from this area as well as to go to Dublin for the day to see a friend and go to the theatre.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Owner of the property went out of her way to look after me and help me negotiate transport. Having a car to get around would have been sensible.

So cosy. We stayed there 2 nights and were given the right amount of information prior to our stay about the location, how to get in and how to turn heating on and the facilities are all you need. They left us bread, milk, eggs, juice and other essentials etc and it’s not far from Ballinagh where you can get anything else you may need. Great weekend

The shower. There’s no tray for the shower so the water goes everywhere. Don’t take showers for more than 2-3 mins.

The property was fantastic. Everything we needed was provided, it was very clean and enjoyable accommodation to have a comfortable stay!

The location was amazing. I’d walked by this cottage and the Hideaway many times but going inside was something else . Just gorgeous. Aisling left some groceries - fresh country eggs, juice, tea/coffee, milk, bread, biscuits … all of the essentials to get started. Absolutely loved it and showed it off to all who would come and look in the door!

Location was fantastic. Views of the countryside, cows in the field and local farms. Beautiful walks around the cottage. 5 minutes from local facilities. Comfortable and everything you need for your stay.

The Hideaway is simply gorgeous. So warm and cosy but really modern without ruining the country cottage style. The host was amazing. Loads of information before we stayed. Simple check-in and check-out. We had bread, milk,cakes and biscuits waiting for us. Also, we left something small but important in the apartment and the host sent it down to us straightaway. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I really liked how the place looks and they made a very nice and comfortable. Especially the way how it looks indoors, its perfect for a romantic getaway for couples. Also the people how own the place where very friendly and helpful.
