Graskop Cottage

Lindiwe was brilliant and very helpful Bed sheets were great (cotton sheets) Facilities were great.

We arrived at the time agreed to find the property locked up and no indication on how to gain access. I eventually contacted the host by making a WhatsApp call. Guidance should have been provided in advance. The towels were threadbare and not adequate. The oven door did not close

Wir waren 3 Nächte in dem schönen Haus. Es ist gut eingerichtet, hat bequeme Betten und ein schönes Wohnzimmer. Die Küche hatte alles was man benötigt. Leider hatten wir extremes Pech mit dem Wetter, es war sehr regnerisch und kalt. Und so mussten wir viel einheizen mit dem Holzofen um es ein wenig warm zu bekommen. Von der Lage her ist es sehr gut gelegen um einiges anzusehen. Auch sind in Graskop einige Restaurants und ein Supermarkt zum einkaufen.

Eine Heizung für kalte Tage wäre super.

Graskop liegt zentral für Ausflüge entlang der Panoramaroute. Das Haus war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Parkplatz am Haus, Tor wird verschlossen. Haus ist nachts alarmgesichert. Talblick bei gutem Wetter. Haus hat zwei Bereiche zum Sitzen vorn und hinten, bei gutem Wetter sehr schön. Holz für Kamin vorhanden. Gute Kommunikation, sehr freundlicher Empfang vor Ort. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt und sind auch zu Fuß unterwegs gewesen.

Bei schlechtem Wetter sehr (!) kalt. Kleiner Kamin vorhanden. Erhebliche Temperaturunterschiede bei Entfernung von Graskop.

Nette Wohnung. Wir waren nur eine Nacht, dafür ist es prima. Durch die vielen Decken war es auch beim Schlafen nicht kalt. Kaminfeuer war auch ganz nett.

Maison spacieuse et chaleureuse Personnel charmant Propriétaire réactif, soucieux du bien être de ses hôtes et de bons conseils. Vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Idéalement placé pour la commencer ou finir la route panoramique de blyde River canyon.

Il a fait très froid lors de notre séjour. Et malgré la cheminée, on a eu du mal à se réchauffer à l'intérieur de la maison. Mais la douche + les couvertures nous ont permis de passer de très bonnes nuits.

Het was heel proper. Goed beveiligd huis. Centrale ligging voor allerlei uitstappen. Mooi uitzicht.

Huis was vrij koud. Maar het was natuurlijk ook winter. We hadden warme dekens in de slaapkamers en je kon in de woonkamer wel het haardvuur aansteken.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans ce cottage et c'était parfait! Accueil chaleureux de Lindiwe , feu ouvert et bois à disposition, jeux de société pour les enfants et accès à de nombreuses applications pour regarder des films en soirée. La propreté était irréprochable et la literie très confortable. Nous avons apprécié les couvertures en suffisance pour avoir bien chaud la nuit en août. Et pour finir, la vue du cottage est top et c'est très calme.

Ausstattung

Konfliktmanagement des Verwalters. Wir hatten während der 3 Nächte keinen Strom und kein Warmwasser. Die Rückmeldungen des Verwalters waren – gelinde gesagt – eine Zumutung. Uns ist bewusst, dass er nichts für den Sturmschaden konnte, aber das Konfliktmanagement war völlig unzureichend. Trotz der erheblichen Einschränkungen während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts – kein Strom, kein warmes Wasser – wurde uns keinerlei Entschädigung angeboten. Angeboten wurde uns eine Gasflasche, um einen Topf oder eine Pfanne zu erwärmen und 2 Solarlampen. Siehe Foto.

Travellers from Australia and loved the view from the front porch. Is 2min out of the main town which makes it lovely and quiet. Could be a little cold inside, but the hosts provided ample bedding (blankets and doonas) and there is a fire place. First time to Graskop but would stay here again if we return.

Not a 'don't like' but its a little cold inside, but the fireplace and bedding supplied made up for it so it wasn't an issue.

It's a comfortable place in a quiet location with beautiful berg view my 10 year old daughter enjoyed the morning walk with me and the beautiful mountains view

Bellissimo cottage in mezzo alle montagne. Semplice e pulito, ha anche il caminetto per le giornate più fredde. Si raggiunge il centro in meno di 5 minuti di auto.

Casa molto sicura con distema d’allarme all’avanguardia. Per chi come me, ha timore di fare brutte esperienze, in questo alloggio ci si sente davvero al sicuro.

The location was wonderful. Very close to town and overlooking a beautiful valley. The home was very comfortable and had everything that you needed. There were also personal touches like maps of the area and suggestions of places to visit and things to do. It was so nice - I wish we could have stayed longer. Parking was safe and secure and undercover - a great addition. The home looked exactly like it did on the posted pictures. The host was very helpful and kind, and answered all questions I had prior to arriving at the property. I can really recommend a stay here - and would definitely stay again of I'm in the area again.

Das Cottage ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Man merkt, das sich die Gastgeberin sehr gut überlegt, wie sie ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt schön machen kann. Außerdem ist es sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Kommunikation war proaktiv und sehr freundlich. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft mit Freude weiter.

The location is beautiful with a lovely view out over the countryside. Also, the books, games etc. in the house made it fun and interesting. I would definitely return there.

The location is wonderful. What struck me was how blissfully quiet it was, we only heard the chirp of birds, and crickets, soft rain on the roof, and the wind. Our view from the stoep was breathtaking, no obstruction of houses in front of us, it gave you a sense of being able to "breathe". The view was pastoral, with the mountain in the background, and lush greenery in the foreground. The birdlife was varied, we delighted in feeding the birds, and watching them do gymnastics in the Bottlebrush tree. The cottage itself was cozy, welcoming,, and more than adequate for our needs.

The only thing missing, were wooden spoons for the non-stick pans and pots.

The cottage has everything we needed,very clean and cozy. We also loved the games provided,we did get bored when we were indoors because of the bad weather...in overall,there's nothing that to be changed...it is a 10 out 10 minus nothing

It's a peaceful environment.

The carport needs to be improved in terms of flooring and roofing. In the event of hail or heavy rain, vehicles will be damaged. The entrance to the premises too needs to be paved because vehicles can easily slip or be stuck in the mud during rainy days.

It was very homely, spacious, and in a convenient location.
