The view!

Elevators broken upon arrival had to walk up stairs with all luggage etc. All main ice machine were broken. Big rip in our sofa. Bathroom faucet and outlets were not set in place everything was wiggly. Hair dryer appeared burnt cord was melted, nervous to use that.

Requested top floor, corner room if possible and received it. Enjoyed view, beach and location.

Uncomfortable bed. Bed not so comfortable had to buy additional air mattress to adjust bed for comfort.

The ocean view was wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable.

The property is a little dated and needs some renovation.

The couple next door fighting and throwing things in the middle of the night

This is my favorite place! But the lady at the front desk was rude! I have never been treated with so much disrespect. Thankfully though, another employee came to help me about 2 hours later and he was wonderful!

Everything was amazing but the girl at the front desk was not good! She was very passive aggressive and not welcoming. She really put a bad taste in my mouth, and I unfortunately think I won’t visit again.

The location was great! We also loved that the room had a balcony.

The beds were very uncomfortable. They were like sleeping on a box. The sheets were so worn out that they hurt on bare legs. They also had holes in them. We also had to ask for more towels and washcloths. We only received three towels and one washcloth and one hand towel for a four night stay.

Cleanliness, view waa amazing and the staff was extremely helpful with everything.

The patio off the room was a drop. Ended up falling crashing into a chair. They charged me for the chair.

That they were always out of towels and I had to go 2 times to go ask for towels. Also didn't leave extra roll of toilet paper. The one on the roll was half used already. The balcony was slanted and felt like it was going to fall we were NOT able to enjoy it.

Went to the office 3 times to get bath towels and all 3 times they said they would deliver them but never showed up. Didn't clean the room like normal.

When we got to our room there were sugar ants all over the walls in the bathroom and crawling all over the toilet paper holder. The room had a musty smell and there was an ionizer going. When we pulled back the sheets there was hair all over the sheets and were clearly not cleaned. When we asked for somebody to change the sheets and take care of the ants they said they could drop off sheets but wouldn't be able to make the bed because nobody was there to do it professionally and expected us to do it. We asked if they could move us to another room and they said they were fully booked but then later said that they could move us. The new room was much better but the person that helped us at the front desk did not seem like she cared at all of our concerns.

I liked the location and the beach access.

Only thing I didn’t like was the upstairs tenants sounded like they were stomping every time they would walk.

Proximity to the beach was great. View from balcony was amazing.

The insulation between floors is bad. We could hear every movement of the folks above us.

Surftides has exceptional Ocean views from your room/balcony and walking access to a pristine beach on the Pacific. Some rooms have fireplaces and thats wonderful when there is (usually) rain and wind. Restaurant/pool/spa onsite and excellent food within a short drive. Fire pits available. I've been going here for nearly 20 years and its become my Pacific home-away-from-home.

I needed another day there

The room was very homey with beautiful nautical decorations. Our room was easily accessible from the parking lot and in close proximity to the pool and front desk. This hotel is located close to the beach and has a pool.

The pool is in its own building and you must get pool towels from the front desk. It was raining when we had to walk back and forth. Also, be careful in the pool building. There are stairs going downward to the pool deck. The price seemed a bit steep for a single night stay and no complimentary breakfast.

Everything works, hot water right away, plenty of flat surfaces.

Bathroom is small and awkward, some paint touches are needed. Chair fabric was worn and ripped.

I loved the quick access to the beach. Beach was lit up. Making it easy to navigate at night.

Easy check in/out, lobby was nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check in we were told we got a room upgrade which was great, it had recently been updated and the view was perfect. The outdoor fireplaces with seating was a nice touch.

The sink in the bathroom had a very slow drain, that grossed me out. I did report it upon departure.

No Air conditioner and no coffee maker in our room.

The property sits right on the beach with balconies that allow you to view the beach in a protected space.

The room was screaming to at least have repairs done but even better to have updates.

The beach location and easy access to the beach is the best thing about this place.

A few things - my original room key I was given was already occupied when I opened the door. Was given a different room, but not the same one I had reserved. Fireplace didn’t work and the bathroom was infested with gnats. They were in the sink, on the walls IN the towels. I brought this to their attention and they said someone would come by and put bleach down the drain which didn’t help. When I checked out I let them know the room needs to have the room really cleaned. They said they would talk to the manager because since I booked through booking.com they couldn’t do anything for me, no call was ever received.

The property was beautiful and in an amazing location. Leads right down to the beach.

Property was great but it was very hard to get house keeping. Had to call 4 times and will not Come unless requested. Staff often acted irritated when you were requesting then to do their job but some were amazing and nice.

Last minute stay that met all our needs- affordable, great location on the beach, clean room with everything we could desire.

The hotel restaurant was closed when we arrived (not very late, maybe 8pm).

More detail to the room in better working order. Most Plugs in outlets didn’t hold our charger. Lighting above bathroom mirror not bright at all. Wall paper pealing in several areas.

The location was central and close to where I wanted to visit. The restaurant ‘Mist’ had excellent food and a view of the ocean. The Calamari were fabulous, and the Caesar salad with prawns! The onion rings were outstanding!

I didn’t have any wash cloths. But something easily overlooked. Also the counter in the kitchen needed upgrading.

Lots of people smoking pot in their rooms next to us. Lots of broken things in room. Very rude people staying there.

The kids could only swim in the pool until 9, then only 18+ after that. We weren’t aware of this until we checked in at almost 9 with 3 kids. The coffee maker didn’t work, the vending machines were all sold out so we couldn’t get drinks. There was also sand all over the floors. Stood at the front desk for 5-10 minutes waiting for a staff, no one came even when I made my presence known.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is right on the beach. Our view was amazing.

Hotel is a little run down but it’s a great location and a great value. It was hard to find ice for the cooler when we left because there aren’t enough ice makers and some are broken. It is a big hotel.

Location, comfortable beds, great pool and hot tub, nice room and awesome view. Loved the courtyard with the firepits.

Not enough towels or wash cloths for 2 people. Only 2 coffee pods and not enough outlets. Updating to lamps with chargers or a table with built-in chargers would improve guests stay considerably.

Everything was great! Right on the beach . The hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. We didn’t get a chance to try the food at the hotel restaurant, so unfortunately we can’t comment on that.

The only things I would mention are that the woman at the front desk during check-in didn’t seem to be in the best mood, and there weren’t quite enough towels for two people. We only had two large bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth, which felt a little limited. Other than that, everything was wonderful, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely be happy to stay here again!

The hotel staff was kind and welcoming. The ocean view was amazing. While we did not personally go down to the beach, the proximity and easy access are a bonus. I appreciated the wood-look floors rather than carpet and the rooms held a comfortable temperature.There was a cute light feature on our wall that offered a nice ambient glow and a nice bistro set for in room dining or table games. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. Overall, the room and the linens were clean. The hotel lobby was nicely appointed and inviting. They had a fun interactive scavenger hunt for families.

I want to begin by saying I am usually an "all high marks" type of rater. Had I seen some of these concerns mentioned when we were researching, we would have looked elsewhere for the price. The rooms were a bit tired. Our room had some holes and staining in the wall paper and the upholstered chair was ripped along the entire seat seam. The bottom sheets had some fuzz- balling up near the face area which felt uncomfortable. The sliding glass doors had a film on them that suggested maybe children or a service animal had been in the room previously and these areas had missed receiving a deep clean. The same was true of the bedroom mirror. The hotel was on linen restrictions so we were only alotted 2 towels, one hand towel and one washcloth. When we asked about it, we were advised this was standard for all rooms and had been going on for some time. They did say there was limited stock on hand at the front desk if truly necessary. The outlets and door handle were a little loose and I experienced sparks when trying to plug in my phone charger. While the hard floors were nice, they were a bit sandy upon arrival and contributed to an overall loudness with echoing voices, footsteps and furniture movement from neighboring rooms and the floor above. (Request the top floor and/or bring earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper.) We splurged on this room for our anniversary. For nearly $300 per night (with tax & fees), we had different expectations.

The fire pits are a nice touch

The staff was rude. Room was dirty and very moldy. It smelled so bad near my bed and I woke up with a sore throat. Then my friend who was in the other room tried to make coffee and the single coffee pot was full of mold, along with the curtains.

The room was amazing! Clean, bed was comfy and towels soft, ocean view on the patio, fireplace in the room, great Cable tv selection. Staff was so accommodating and Sweet, made me and my girlfriend feel welcomed and even had maintenance light the fire pits for family that came to visit on our timeline so the kids could enjoy the pool and beach. My go to hotel for the Oregon coast from now on.! The lady's at the front desk deserve a raise! So amazing!

One and only thing that I'd say Is the rooms don't have AC, but the Oregon coast is cold normally and the breeze from the ocean was almost better. So don't really think it's a big deal.

Amazing ocean view, clean, fun nautical themed room. The wait to check in was super long and the gal at the desk gave us a 5th floor room for the troubles. Loved how easy it was to get to the beach.

Could have been a little cleaner but that’s just nit picking. Huge rip in the screen to the balcony. Bed skirt was a little nasty as well and the furniture chairs but was very clean over all.

I didn't like that the pool wasn't available to kids after 9pm. That wasn't advertised and my kids were disappointed. I also would like breakfast included. Pool staff was rude.

Way over priced. TV didn't work, called front desk, hotel person could not get it to work. Parking is horrible, I am disabled and had to park way away from our room.

Proximity to beach was really only upside.

Neighbors were super noisy from 11PM to well past midnight. I understand kids can be a handful but WOW screaming for hours at midnight is insane. Front desk ladies were not the most friendly. The room smelled of carpet from the 80's era, maybe think to replace that stuff. No shampoo or condition or body soap for bathing and sure I could bring my own, but thats only if I knew it wasnt going to be supplied at all. Heating system is outdated and the curtains do pose somewhat of a fire hazard. All in all, not the best.

Beach view was very nice. But the door was so tight it took 2 people to open up the sliding glass door to go onto the balcony. The fire pits were very nice, and they gave you smore's to make, but due to marshmallow droppings from previous guests it had ants swarming everywhere, can't help it with Nature!

There was sand in my bed sheets when we checked in. Holes in the flooring, dirty and moldy vents and very dusty like had never been cleaned. Splatters on walls. Shower kept backing up into bathtub. (clogged drains) Bathroom fan was broken. Paper thin walls. You could hear every conversation from neighbors. There was no DVD player but advertised to have one. I brought DVD's I could not play for my child. Balcony door extremely hard to open and close. Balcony chairs were cracked or broken. Pool enclosure was moldy. Spa had broken and missing tiles. My bathing suit snagged on them. Steam room was out of order and bolted shut. Zero towels anywhere in the pool area with no signs to ask receptionist for them who was nasty and chastised us for not knowing we had to ask for them the first time. The 2nd time we asked for them, they were out of towels. I had to wait 15minutes for towels to be brought to me and were given towels with holes in them. Beds are very hard and noisy/squeaky. Power kept flickering (could be environmental as I did notice a streetlight was out later)

Fantastic room right on the beach. The Mist restaurant was wonderful.

Even tho I stayed 3 days, room maids doesn't change out towels or take trash. I had to come request new ones.

The location of the hotel was overlooking the beach, that was the only good thing about the stay.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the hotel for paying almost $400 for one night. The room was not clean. The gas fireplace didn't work at all. The ocean view could hardly be seen through all of the dirt trapped between the panes of the sliding glass doors. They had no lamp between the queen beds so it was not possible to read before going to bed. No clock in the room or charging station. The ice bucket had slime on the bottom of the lid and clearly hadn't been cleaned. The hairdryer was broken and my finger got hit by the fan inside it. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the been made cracking noises every time you moved on it. The floor was stained. The DVD player had a remote missing a battery so you couldn't use it. The microwave buttons didn't work. We went to use the pool and had to leave because there were 5 teenagers in there at 10pm pushing each other into the pool and throwing each other around, it was total havoc. All the other guests walked in there and turned around and left. The whole stay was extremely disappointing. This hotel is really going downhill.

I did not like the many stairs going to my room with my disabled sister. I loved the view and yard, except no complete fencing, so my dogs visited the neighbors. I loved the spacious rooms, the furniture, toiletries

I felt unsafe changing clothes in my room, as the blinds by the closets could be seen through. We could be seen in bed also!

Location is the only thing going for this property….. I would honestly rather not stay Oceanside and have a better experience than to stay on the beach and be in this hotel ever again.

The rooms were gross and outdated. I was awake all night listening to man in the room next to me snore all night long. The carpet was so gross and stained I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. No air conditioning. Paper thin walls. The staff was short and rude and the restaurant was awful. The waiter told me they increased prices but never updated the menus so all meals were more expensive than anticipated and nothing was made in house it was all heat and serve food with horrible service. Check in time was 4pm and our room wasn’t available until almost 5pm. The beds were hands down the worst beds I have ever slept in. I would never in my life recommend this property to anyone.

Great location and easy beach access. Beds were very comfortable and having a tiny sink, fridge and microwave made food prep easy.

The facility is a bit older so there are signs of wear like the badly rusted railings on the balcony. There were a few things along the floorboards that didn't get swept from the last occupants like used dental pics.

We liked the beachfront location. The attached restaurants food was good.

The amenities were overran, the pool area was highly over chlorinated to where it burned my eyes. We didn’t even go in the pool, as soon as we walked into the pool area to check it out it was over crowded and the air immediately burned both my husband and I’s eyes. So we decided not to go in.

Issues with booking. Charged way over what I was told. Restaurant on site was mediocre. Staff wasn't very pleasant. Bathroom in room not very wheelchair accessible. Floors had crumbs and dirt from past guests. Wheelchair accessible parking was few.

Clean cozy room. The bed was so comfy! We had a beautiful ocean view and the weather allowed us to keep the slider open so we were able to see and hear the ocean all day and night . So soothing.
