Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön wir sind in der Nebensaison gewesen daher war es ein bisschen mehr Monsun, aber es liegt direkt am Strand. Man kann an dem Strand spazieren gehen aber man kann dort nicht schwimmen aber das ist nicht ein Problem, weil es einen kleinen Pool gibt. Bei uns war leider das Wetter schlecht aber ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr schön. Wir haben dort auch gegessen. Das Essen war lecker und alles wird selbst gekocht man darf auch Wünsche äußern, wenn man etwas anderes möchte. Alle waren sehr zuvorkommt und es ist sehr sauber und ruhig. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Es ist natürlich ein bisschen abgelegen, aber das macht nichts, weil man kann sich ein TukTuk oder ein uber bestellen. Kommt tatsächlich überall gut hin.

اسوء مكان أقمت فيه طوال رحلتي وصلت الساعه 3 بعد الظهر ووجدت المسبح قذر إلى ابعد درجه لونه ابيض ومليان حشرات وصيتهم ينظفونه الين استقر في غرفتي طلعت الغرفه لقيت الحمام بدون مناديل وبدون مناشف المناشف على السرير وريحتها ولونها بني ومفرش السرير ايضاً بني والغريب في الموضوع ان الغرفه مافيها تلفون لخدمة الغرف والعمال والموظفين في المكان يستغربون اي طلب ولما طلبت منهم ينظفون المسبح قال لي الموظف انه نظفه ونزلت فيه بنتي وطلعت وهي جسمها بالكامل ملتهب واحمر وحساسيه شديده لما طلبتهم يعطوني مفرش ثاني بدال الوسخ الي موجود في الغرفه عطوني مفرش وحده والغلاف وحده يعني أنا أغلفه بنفسي !! الغرفه وسخه سيئه الاقامه وما انصح ابداً ابداً ابداً فيها ترا الصور تخدع الواقع شي مقرف

A great experience at this hotel. Everything was clean, the bed was huge and very comfy, the swimming pool was nice. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony, which directly looked over the beach, enjoying the sound of the waves. Fantastic food and staff were very nice and so helpful.

The beach was disappointing due to lots of rubbish along the shoreline difficult to walk along.

Our large superior room with a comfortable king size bed, high ceiling had full size windows facing the ocean and sunsets. Had an excellent grilled tuna plate with friendly efficient service from Danish. Very quiet location not far from the airport. Highly recommend.

Schöne kleine Unterkunft am Meer. Perfekt für den ersten Tag nach der Ankunft. Leckeres Frühstück. Sehr freundlichen Leute.

Etwas zu Abseits

It’s a villa of about 10 rooms so relatively small and peaceful location. The rooms were spacious with air con or fans. Also a balcony with sea view. Clean useful size pool. Very calming location. Staff very helpful

More comfortable chairs would have been welcome or cushions for the existing chairs

- the location is very convinient. It is 20 min drive from the airport - we stayed there one day before our flight so we can relax - has beautiful view and comfortable beds - staff were extremely helpful and kind - I would definitely stay there again

We chose this hotel because of its location, just 25 minutes from the airport, yet it still feels like a true holiday escape. Beautifully situated right on the ocean, the large garden is filled with palm trees and sun loungers, and there is even a pool with sparkling lights set into the surround. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and immaculately clean – not what you might expect from an airport hotel. The bathroom was spotless, with a perfectly functioning shower. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and attentive; they even made a special trip to buy beer for my husband. The sunset over the water was so beautiful that we decided to have dinner on the rooftop balcony, where we enjoyed a fantastic rice and curry and a very fresh Porto. The hotel manager also arranged a driver for 3:00 in the morning, who arrived ahead of schedule.THF hotel manger even provided a little breakfast take away for us, which was very sweet. We wholeheartedly recommend Driftwood to anyone looking for a stress-free start or end to their holiday.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A private party was held during my stay meaning guests couldn't use the facilities, especially the pool and lawn!! I was told it won't happen again. Please check this before you book.

Pensjonat w linii brzegowej z dostępem do plaży (kamienista, ale tego się spodziewaliśmy). Idealny na aklimatyzację/pobyt przed wylotem. Mały, czysty basen z ogrodem. Zarezerwowaliśmy 3 pokoje i dodatkowo mieliśmy wspaniałą przestrzeń wspólna na 2 piętrze. Obsługa bardzo pro kliencka i spełnialo nasze dodatkowe prośby (chociaż nie musieli). Pokoje duże z wygodnymi łóżkami.

Bardzo silne środki zapachowe w łazience, ale to zrozumiałe w tym klimacie. W niektórych miejscach można lekko popracować nad czystością.

Прекрасный отель! Останавливались после перелета и кайфово отдохнули. Хотели продлить еще на один день, но мест к сожалению небыло. Номер просторный, чистый, с прекрасным видом на сад, бассейн и море. Ужин и завтрак были вкусные, без перебора по остроте). Бассейн с садиком - супер! Да еще и прямой выход к пляжу. Но имейте в виду, что океан здесь не купательный. Нет входа в океан, проходит риф и волны сильные. Персонал любезный и внимательный. Рекомендую!

Lovely view out to sea. Very comfy beds. Dinner was delicious, they surprised us with an anniversary cake and we left at 6am the next day and they made us breakfast to go to take to airport. Air con was lovely and so close to the airport

Room had a funny smell (like petrol) and there was no hot water. Not the hotels fault but our driver to the airport massively overcharged us aswell so be careful with that

I don't know what i was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this! It is amazing place to stay: the room is vast, the bed huge and comfy, all the staff were brilliant - helpful and friendly, the food was extremely tasty, and we really didn't want to leave. But when we tried to book another night it was sadly full :(

All i can think of is that it would've been nice if there was a mat in the bathroom. And i really didn't like that it was booked up so we couldn't stay longer.

We did not stay here because, even though we booked the whole house for our group, the previous guests were already at the property when we arrived. And it was after 4pm.

The manager was great, really looked after us and cooked an excellent curry. Breakfast was superb also. Rooms were very spacious and clean.

Swimming pool was a little on the cold side

Wir waren mit unseren 3 Kindern in dem Hotel um nach dem langen Flug etwas zu entspannen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und das Essen hervorragend. Es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre und spontan wurde für uns noch ein Ausflug organisiert. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das man im Meer an dieser Stelle nicht schwimmen kann war uns bekannt, Pool und Ausblick entschädigen einen aber dafür.

If you have transport , it is perfect... because sometimes getting transport is not easy. If you looking for a very quiet holiday with family , this is the place to be !

Enjoyed our stay!! Were there for the first and last night of our vacation and it was a nice place to spend those nights. Comfortable rooms with a great view. Nice garden with sunbeds and a little pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely spot just outside of Negombo, with beautiful views of the sea, cosy rooms, and a nice garden. The neighbourhood is really calm and you will sleep by the sound of waves!

Beautiful big room with a very comfortable bed. The property faces the sea, so gorgeous views. The breakfast was very tasty, the best Sri Lankan food I've had! The staff were friendly and helpful. You can't swim at the beach there but I enjoyed using the pool.

Wifi didn't work well in my room. There aren't many restaurants near the property.

Perfect place to relax after a long flight. The rooms are comfy and spacious. Sanjay and his colleagues are super helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed the food, which they will prepare for you on request. Would definitely recommend.

Good room size, facilities, and lovely sea-facing balcony - lovely sunsets! Food was some of the best we’d had in the previous two weeks.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. They did everything to make our stay special. The food prepared by Clifford was the best we had in Sri Lanka, he is an exceptional chef, everything freshly cooked to order - amazing value for money. Spacious rooms and good shower.

The villa is located right by the beach with a wonderful sunset view. The room was very spacious and clean and breakfast was delicious. The staff was amazing and very helpful. What I liked the most is that they have a separate leisure room by the pool with AC and full bathroom which can be used to keep luggage safe when you arrive before the check-in time or need to stat somewhere after checking out. I had to wait a few hours before heading to the airport and this room was super convenient to rest and refresh before my journey. The best place I stayed in on my trip to Sri Lanka.

The villa is located on the far end of Negombo in a very quiet neighbourhood which is great, but also sometimes tricky to get taxi or tuktuk to arrive. But the super friendly staff at the villa is always there to help and can arrange a ride if needed.

The hotel is in front of a beautiful and wild beach. There is a nice garden and a swimming pool in front of the garden. The staff is very kind. The rooms are big with a beautiful view to the sea. The street in front of the hotel is calm and relax, it is a very good hotel that we recommend juste before or after going to airport.

The location was great. Rooms were specious. Clifford was an excellent chef, therefore we had delicious food.

There are a few minor things that need to be sorted which would really lift up the standard of the place. - Toiletries, batteries for the safe. It would also help to have a sheer curtain so that the sea view could be enjoyed fully.

It was a really exceptional place, especially the view of the beach and it is situated immediately to the beach. The staff is good and supportive.

Near the beach, good for a night‘s stop over before heading to the airport the next day. Host was kind enough to arrange transport for us to the airport the next morning. Breakfast was good too!

Facilities were a bit old and some parts of the room were a tad dusty.

The manager was super friendly. Great stop over before our flight home.
