Central location lots of space and charm

The Lodge is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Clonakilty, yet is set in a very private location with its own driveway and grounds. The property is huge, with a well equipped kitchen and utility room, dining room, reception room and 4 bedrooms. The hosts left a welcome pack including milk in the fridge which made our stay even easier and more enjoyable. During our stay we also enjoyed the excellent entertainment at de Barras folk club on Pearse Street, and visited the beautiful beach at Inchydoney.

helpful and responsive hosts. Left a lovely package of snacks and breakfast foods for us, including bread milk wine and tea and coffee. Host called in to check all was well and arranged extra bedding for us at short notice. Lovely garden and we could enjoy the autumn colours of the leaves from most of the rooms. Very large Dining/Kitchen area and we hung out there a lot. Lots of useful kit like ironing board etc which was good as we were attending a wedding and wanted to look our best.

all good., We arrived oi a dark wet raining evening and used our phone torch to get into the key safe.

It was in the heart of Clonakilty and easy walk to the shops,it was set in a lovely garden . The house was spotless and very comfortable,

Lovely accommodation, really spacious and great location. We even received a welcome basket from the hosts which was such a nice touch.

This house ticked every box for us, travelling as a family of 6 there was more than enough space for everyone. It absolutely exceeded our expectations, beautifully decorated, so comfortable and so much space indoors and out. The welcome basket was a lovely touch also :) This property also came out better value for money than other smaller properties in the area.

Bushmount Lodge is a wonderful home from home. It’s a very comfortable base from which to explore the wonders of County Cork.

The house was spacious with comfortable beds. Our family from America was impressed with facilities and welcome basket of fruits, food and wine.

Stunning house in a stunning location! Very private yet walkable to Clonakilty and a short drive from the beach. Clean, spacious, and homely!

Everything. An absolutely beautiful spacious property set in a large mature garden with a huge variety of different trees, shrubs and flowers with plenty of outdoor seating areas. The whole property is very tastefully decorated with some beautiful period furniture and features. Johnnie and Denise had left us the most comprehensive "welcome pack" that we have ever seen. Unfortunately were only staying for one night, as we could have quite happily spent an entire month there. We would highly recommend staying at this property and sincerely hope we get an opportunity to return ourselves.

This property was excellent. The attention to detail was spectacular. It was spotlessly clean and in an ideal location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at this beautiful Irish house was absolutely wonderful, exceeding all expectations. We felt right at home the moment we arrived; it's incredibly cozy with lovely decor that perfectly blends rustic charm with every modern comfort. Every detail is thoughtfully designed for comfort, from the super comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen to the perfect living room for relaxing. The house provide the tranquility and peace needed to truly disconnect and recharge. We cannot recommend this house enough for an authentic and memorable experience in Ireland, and we sincerely hope to return very soon!

The house was very spacious with lovely grounds. It was equipped with everything we could need and the hosts had left out some lovely treats. It was great to have washing powder and dishwasher tabs if needed. The location was great with only a 5 min stroll to town for pubs, restaurants and shops.

Johnnie and Denise had left a welcome basket for us which was very thoughtful and very welcome. The house suited our group perfectly and we had a wonderful stay. I will be sure to recommend this beautiful house to everyone I know. A perfect location for a visit to Clonakilty.

Everything about Bushmount Lodge was exceptional. The communication from Johnnie and Denise, the location, facilities, comfort and cleanliness of the property blew us away.

It is spacious, clean, well furnished and comfortable. The property is well hidden from the main road and is quite private. The property is surrounded a spacious garden, which would be excellent for children to run around in.

Nothing. My only comment by way of making an improvement is that perhaps some attention could be paid to the garden, such as pruning shrubs and tidying up dead foliage. This would then make the garden a pleasure to be in.

Perfect location walking distance to the town. House was spacious and clean, had everything you needed. Hosts were very welcoming and left a lovely basket of food and drinks for us. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Having visited Clonakilty numerous times over the years, often stopping at the quality hotel as a family, this year we stopped at Bushmount Lodge, fantastic decision. Excellent location, rooms sizes and facilities perfect and extremely clean. Bonus was having a food / drink hamper on arrival which was a lovely touch. 100% will be stopping here again when we next visit.

Fantastic location with easy walk into town. The gardens were beautiful- a real bonus. And there were lovely touches with the basics and treats awaiting us on arrival.

The sun room was great. Had a cute feel to it. Loved the clear instructions and lovely touch of food/fruit when we arrived. Communication was prompt, something quaint about the place. We enjoyed the location and big garden. Plenty of rooms, personality.
