We had the most wonderful stay at the clifftop cabins, it's an idyllic spot for a getaway

Wonderful location, perfect little private cabin with everything you might need. The hosts have put a lot of thought into providing nice additions to make our stay that much more special - complete. The games, books, a pair of chocolates, coffee machine with milk. And the view, spectacular!! Thank you!!

Loved everything about Clifftop Cabins - especially the location, the views, comfort and functionality and most of all the outdoor bath. It was clear the hosts have put a lot of effort into ensuring their guests have everything they need during their stay.

Awesome location with the most fantastic view. We had great weather for our 2 day stay and even enjoyed the outdoor bath in winter 😀. It was a lovely walk down the cliffs and also to the nearby viewing point. The cabin is set up beautifully and we appreciated all the little extra touches!

Could use more places to hang things, but not a major problem

Everything was incredible, every detail down to the bed linen, the coffee and tea was well thought out and perfect. The view was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

Location was spectacular and accommodation was perfect

Bei nicht so gutem Wetter ist das ausschließlicher Outdoor-Cooking und Eating leider unangenehm. Es gibt zwar einen Outdoor-Heater, aber der hilft leider nicht viel.

La vue était formidable. Très bien située. Nous avons fait la grande randonnée, peu dur à traverser avec les otaries a 2m, mais magnifique. En rentrant nous avons profité d'un bon bain et fait un petit barbecue. Lit agréable.

C'est un peu cher quand même et petit, si non, rien a dire.

We had the most wonderful stay at this stunning bijou cabin. Beautifully designed and impeccably thought through, it strikes the perfect balance between style and comfort. Peaceful, picturesque, and the ideal spot to unwind, it offers the kind of calm you don’t realise you’ve been craving until you’re there. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or exploring the surroundings, the whole experience feels truly special.

We had a lovely time. The view was beautiful. The room was gorgoues and clean. It was a close drive to everything. We even walked down into town for a bit of an adventure. The perfect romantic getaway!

Very compact but very comfortable

It is a very clever use of space, exquisitely finished in a spectacular setting. The views are breathtaking and the owners, Penny and Seth couldn’t have been more welcoming. They turned on the lights for us as we were arriving late, so we wouldn’t have to fumble around in the dark. We will hopefully return.

WOW, THE VIEW! We have stayed in a lot of beautiful places around the world but that view has got to be one of the best! An extremely lovely couple own and run the place right next door and are the perfect hosts. The place was extremely well maintained, clean, and is a perfect romantic and quaint getaway for a couple..and did I mention the amazing view?! Great price point as well.

All the cabins are amazing and private with greenery separation but I would recommend the cabin on the far left side if you want total quietness.

The view was amazing. The room was small but everything was new and very comfortable. Lots of nice features like heated towel rail, outdoor heater, AC and coffee machine.

location is perfect. Just 8 mins drive from town center. The view is fabulous, facing the sea and mountains.

Bathroom is a little bit small, especially the wash sink.

This is easily the most beautiful accommodation we have experienced! The photos don’t even do it justice! We wished we stayed longer. We chose to go to the shops and cook our own dinner in the cabins to enjoy the view and facilities even longer. Absolutely beautiful place!!!

Shower pressure wasn't the greatest but they are on a water tank. Also couldn't get any of the free tv channels to work on the tv.

It was cosy, a small amount of extra space for suitcases would be good , but not a problem in warmer months as you can spill outside under cover.

This property is genuinely amazing, my only regret was not staying longer. The views from the cabins is breathtaking, and the cabins themselves are beautiful, great outdoor area, kitchen and bathroom and perfectly clean and tidy. You cannot beat waking up and seeing a view of the ocean. Penny was warm, friendly and really organised, a pleasure to deal with and the whole check in and out process was seamless.

11/10! The view is out of this world and it was so easy to stay in and appreciate it from the bed, deck chairs or outdoor bath. The space has been utilised so well, and all the little things have been thought of (coffee machine, board games, bubble bath etc). Bed so comfortable. It was so nice to finish our trip of NZ here and we are dreaming of returning in the future. What a special gem - thanks for having us!

Absolutely magical stay! The views are truly the best we’ve ever experienced - breathtaking sunrises and endless sky. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The outdoor bath with panoramic views - pure bliss. Communication with the owner was smooth and warm, making the whole experience even more special.

It was exceptional place for a very quiet weekend away to recharge. The room had everything we needed and the view was magnificent. We loved being able to do the peninsula walk from the cabin. A fantastic place for those wanting to rest!

It was just perfect. Amazing owner. Super friendly and quick TAT. Amazing decor. Awesome amenities - fully equipped kitchen, games, heater, bathtub, binoculars to watch dolphins directly from the cabins - we saw multiple dolphins, a kayak, a boat from the cabin given its great location. We could see milky way one out of two nights that we spent at the cabin. Super clean with premium amenities. MUST MUST MUST STAY in KAIKOURA.

Our stay in at this property Kaikoura was the perfect way to end our New Zealand trip. The location overlooking the town, sea, and snow-capped mountains offered stunning views and a peaceful sense of privacy. The accommodations were clean, modern, and very comfortable—everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time. Penny was a truly kind and thoughtful host, going out of her way to make sure we felt taken care of and providing great local recommendations. We’re so glad we ended our trip here and would love to return in the future.
