Everything, one of the most unique homily places where I have stayed. Warm clean comfortable and so well presented. Excellent welcoming host, Eamonn is a gent.
Nothing at all
Unique place to stay. Comfortable and clean.
Nice traditional cottage. Had everything needed for a family stay and was very comfortable.
Shower pressure could have been a bit better and could use a place to hang coats and towels
From ringing to wish us a safe journey, to delivering a bottle of wine, we were made to feel like family by Eamonn. The cottage is just fantastic and so beautiful. Beds were all very comfortable, showers were great and the kitchen was well equipped. Although located on a main road, it wasn't noisy at all and we slept like babies. A truly lovely stay.
Loved the charm and being in a thatched cottage. The host was excellent and cared about our wellbeing.
Wonderful, authentic experience. The host was most gracious and kind. The cotteg is the cutest you will find in the country, fully equipped and strategically located to explore the region.
Nothing
The owner.
Uncomfortable beds and decor.
We had a lovely stay at Teresa's Cottage. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed for relaxing break. The location was peaceful and perfect for unwinding, while still being close to local attractions. Eamonn was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Recommend 👍
Très chouette petit cottage authentique, spacieux ( 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains), confortable et douillet. La cuisine est très bien équipée, avec aussi une machine à laver le linge.
Gorgeous cosy little cottage , it was like stepping back in time. Perfect location for exploring Killybegs, Slieve League and Malin Beg
Very nice, traditional Irish place
Exceptiinal welcome
we arrived very late- our fault
Brilliant time here Eamon was a gent . Accommodation like this is hard to find a real treat will be back this year again and have sent on pics and videos to friends and family.
Nothing all was perfect
Lovely to stay in traditional cottage and a great location for exploring Donegal. Eamon was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.
The location was convenient
The building was not properly sealed and appeared damp and musty with no backing on some cupboards which did not seem appropriate for food storage,The bathroom appeared to be in a coal bunker and the backdoor was hidden behind a dresser, In my opinion it fell far below health and safety standards. Memorandum cards of dead relatives...creepy.
Sehr, sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes altes Cottage, ein Unikat. Netter Gastgeber.
Nichts, was nicht zu erwarten wäre: Wer bewusst ein sehr altes Haus bucht, darf sich von knarzenden Dielen und gewöhnungsbedürftiger ( aber funktionierender ) Technik nicht gestört fühlen. Also alles gut.
One of the coziest places i ever stayed in , beautiful cottage
Superb breakfast. So many extra touches. A most convivial host. We had a memorable stay and would recommend this accommodation. Nicely situated between Killybegs and Donegal town.
The property was as described, the cottage was decorated with traditional items and vintage possessions that add to the traditional rustic decor. The kitchen has original fixtures that were fine to use. The cottage stay was interesting and not an experience you could find everywhere.
The house TV was on the smaller side, and it could have used a tv in the side bedroom. The village the cottage is in is very small and limited.
Looks like an authentic old Irish cottage inside and out. Had everything that's needed
- One morning they put a big-ass generator right next to the cottage and pressure-washed the asphalt around the property with horrible noise. Zero consideration for guest's comfort. - It can be quite cold inside the cottage even in July if it's rainy and windy outside. Heating is controlled by the hosts and is turned on only for a few hours a day. - The inside is decorated with lots of unsightly empty wine bottles for some reason. - Roof leak in the bigger bathroom.
True Irish experience.... felt like time travelling.... if you want something different, go for it!
Very
Wonderful stay, quaint village 3 miles from killybegs
The property was perfect for us very homely
Cosy, homely, peaceful and a great base for exploring. Great little playground right next to it for the kids and a shop across the road.
The definitive cozy cottage, ideal for a break away. Ideal for 2-4 people with great size bedrooms and comfy beds. Brilliant location for exploring from too.
The kitchen is functional but limited pans/utensils if you plan on cooking.
Truly special experience. Spent couple nights in an irish folk museum 😆 Very well maintained 150 years old irish cottage!
Great location easy parking,good facilities.
All ok.
Excellent communication and the host recommendations were spot on! The history in the cottage was breathtaking.
Not applicable self catering
Great cottage that gave everything and more. Eamonn was a great host. Our kids enjoyed exploring all the history in the cottage. Perfect location as we were visiting friends in Killybegs only 10 mins drive away.
Eamonn is an excellent host, very welcoming and what a beautiful, unique, authentic cottage! Will def be back
Beautiful quirky cottage which was dog friendly. Owner Eamonn was extremely helpful & let us use his washing machine as the one in the cottage was out of order.
Cottage was warm & quaint & homely.
This cottage is an experience. The more you look the more you see. Quirky, interesting family memories and iconography of a bygone day. We enjoyed the eccentricities and the homely feel. The place was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. Bed linen soft and cosy. Everything was perfect for our group. 2 couples and a dog. Good base for exploring Killybegs, Sliabh Liag if you are travelling by car. Brocklesby area is lovely for a wander, the church grounds and holy well are worth a look
Could'nt fault the cottage. The cars pass so quickly outside there is no fence/gates into the carpark. You need to be mindful of your dog and if you are travelling with small children. There are good paths to the shop 2 minutes up the road.
It was just like it said. We were visiting with family from Canada. They were very impressed with the cottage.
No heating in bathrooms, which would be no problem in the summer months.
Lovely quaint cottage, a bit small but host was very lovely and accommodating. Would recommend
Clean and comfortable. Good parking for our vehicle. Heating system was great once we learned how to operate it. Obviously a much loved cottage with considerable history. Very good amenities
Limited space for two couples and many, many owner’s mementos and treasures which took up a lot is space while making it unique. Bathrooms small but we’ll appointed.
The warm welcome and general atmosphere were lovely
I cannot imagine how it is possible to truly keep a place like this clean. Someone with dust allergy might have a hard time!
It was twee and a rarity to stay in a thatched cottage.
Nothing
The cottage was very clean and cozy. Two bathrooms and a full kitchen perfect for a family of 4.
The house is beautiful and very confortable. The owner was very kind with us.
Nothing, all was good.
cozy warm and quiet, had everything we needed
nothing
My Friend and I arrived at Theresa's Cottage in the Stunning Donegal, our host Eamonn was an absolute Gentleman and couldn't do enough for us, he had the cottage decorated with beautiful Christmas Decorations and even a Tree, beautiful scented candle it was breath taking to walk into this. The bed linen was high quality and the beds so comfortable. We had such a lovely stay and walked the beach every day with our dogs, which was near by. 🤶🤶🎅🎅😀😀😀 We will return for sure, and can highly recommend Theresa's Cottage
Beautiful cottage. Very special atmosphere. Like a museum full of stories. Very warm. Even though it is an 150 years old cottage all the facilities are modern and clean and comfortable to use. There is a gas station with a supermarket within 1 min walk.
It was a bit of confusion in the beginning- the owner confused our date of arrival, so we had to call him for check in. But the problem was solved within an hour and the rest of the stay was perfect.
A lovely cottage. Cosy, nostalgic.
A lovely little Irish Gem! A home away from home and a welcome reminder of why our little island is so special! Full of memorabilia, personal touches and warmth!
No breakfast - expected! Was self catering.
People walking on floorboards in one bedroom could be heard in the other bedroom. Otherwise, great!
It was an amazing property, an original thatched cottage modernised. We loved it.
That we were only there for two nights.
Wonderful cottage exactly what we wanted cosy comfortable spotless will defo be back & eamon the owner is a real gentleman
We didnt book long enough
We loved everything about it. Truly the best place we've been. There's a really personal feel to the cottage, like a home from home. Lots of memories everywhere inside. The flowers and colours outside are truly breath taking. It's very private and cosy
Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like
