Dit was mijn derde verblijf in dit hostel in Udaipur en net als de vorige keren is het me weer ontzettend goed bevallen. Het voelt echt als thuiskomen. Deze keer was ik samen met mijn moeder en ook zij was enthousiast. Ik ben gestart in de dorm maar hierna 3 nachten verbleven in privekamer. We hadden allebei een prachtige, ruime kamer met een fijne zitplek bij de raampjes – echt een heerlijke plek om even te ontspannen. De kamers zijn schoon en comfortabel, met een ruime badkamer en een goed werkende douche. Alles is netjes en goed onderhouden. De ligging is perfect: in een rustig gebied, waardoor je ’s nachts goed slaapt, maar het drukkere gedeelte van Udaipur is binnen no time bereikbaar. Een van mijn favoriete plekken blijft het dakterras. Het uitzicht over Udaipur is prachtig, vooral tijdens zonsondergang. ’s Avonds is het er extra gezellig met een vuurkorf, muziek en een fijne sfeer. Sinds kort is er beneden ook een koffiecafé geopend waar ze goede koffie serveren en waar je ook iets kunt eten. Daarnaast is er bovenin het hostel een restaurant waar je terecht kunt voor een maaltijd. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en staat altijd klaar om te helpen met vragen, tips of advies over planning, vervoer of bezienswaardigheden. Je voelt je hier echt welkom. Tijdens mijn volgende bezoek aan Udaipur kom ik hier zonder twijfel weer terug. Een absolute aanrader

Nothing they asked me to either cancel the booking or pay for one more day even if I'm leaving udaipur the next day. Pathetic service

Everything was good. A very sweet and caring family is running the hostel. Geographically it's located near ambrai ghat.

Staff is good. They will help you with everything you need. Location is good too and they themselves provide rental 2 wheelers. The rooms are average but good enough to spend a couple of nights. They have a kitchen at the top floor and serve amazing food. Overall a good experience!

Staff behaviour is too good and everyone is cooperative

The room is beautiful, with natural light and nice Indian decoration. The bed was comfortable. The staff is vey kind and helpful

The night when I arrived the room was very dirty, especially the floor (very dusty)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good price and location. The room was simple but had everything we needed.

Like many places in India, it was a bit noisy. This can’t be helped but good to be aware of.

The room was clean and decent. It is located in the small streets near Ambrai ghat, where cabs are not allowed. One can take an auto or 2 wheeler from/to here.

Rest of the premises have not been maintained properly. The terrace area and the cafeteria area were not clean. The attender and staff are not that cheerful and proactive, but will help you out if you ask. The premises can be kept in a better condition as shown in the photos. .

Good location, outside of mad traffic area. Good food when available, later chef was not keen to cook, he told me to go somewhere else. Mgr helped me book early taxi to railway station, he gave me tourist tips.

Short bed, no hot water. Around lake at night it's dangerous walking, crazy tuk-tuks and motos are racing.

Rooms can be updated by little renovation or by painting and enhancing the lights of the room.

Hotsel Udaipur is super great! Modern and very clean. There is a laundry service. Washing machine and tumble dryer! And hot water for showers! The beds are very comfortable. The rooftop restaurant is great! Best food with the best view. The staff are very nice and helpful. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. I can recommend this great hostel without reservation! And I would love to come back

Central hostel, great location, with nice common area. Clean room and well working warm water.

The view from the roof is incredibly beautiful, especially for the sunset. The location is calm and slightly removed from the busiest part of the city, but is very close to the main tourist sites. Dinesh runs the place well and is very kind and helpful, with good travel recommendations as well as being generally friendly.

The AC was newly installed and didn’t work consistently. I believe this will be fixed soon

In a very central location in the old city but not in a noisy area, a great room with great shower with hot water and strong stream, and above all the hospitality of the owner who is super friendly and helped me with everything I needed. Definitely a great choice in Udaipur!

Everything is perfectl. Rooftop is amazing with a 360 degree view of city. You can see almost all locations from it as it's placed at such a height with an amazing sunset in the evening. Dorms are clean and spacious. You hardly can find such a great deal in udaipur at this budget. Owner Dinesh and his staff are very friendly and help you in navigating the city to get the most out of it.

I have been traveling for almost the last 2 years and this was the best hostel so far. Dinesh and Sandeep both are very friendly. I had an amazing time. Beautiful view from the rooftop. Perfect place for morning yoga, and sunset ❤️. Lot of events going on. You can watch movie on projector, play board games etc. - clean and hygienic. Loved 8 bed dormitory. Very spacious.

Was a very good stay, we enjoyed it so much that we extended it for 1 more night. There was a wifi issue but that was an external issue not in hotel management's hands. The staff was very friendly and helpful and exceeded our expectations. The laundry facility is very good and new. Good location walking distance to everything. Good value for money.

Super cheap! Great location, you really wouldn’t want to be any closer to the noise and claustrophobia of central Udaipur!! Great staff…lovely room, super low price!

The best part of this hostel is its peaceful location and hygiene stay with best view of lake and 360degreee view from rooftop and yes laundry is also available in this hostel made my day. The city tour was also fun . Thanks for everything. Will visit soon

The roof top was fab - watched sunset and monkeys at play, did morning yoga there; location is great in old city and staff were always obliging.

it was filthy! Sheets were not properly clean, all bedding including duvet and pillows were smelly, bathroom unclean. There were a few young men running the place and it seemed to me they had no idea about how to clean. Breakfast was included in our tariff but none was available. It’s very noisy- dogs and tuktuks and shouting all night, however ear plugs were fairly effective.

I enjoyed the stay it was so amazing chilling with strangers feeling safe and awesome vibes

The staff is super friendly and helpful! The location is quite good, not too busy but at easy walking distance from the central area. The price is really good too.

The dorm was really not clean. There was trash left from other guests and the bathroom looked like it had not gotten a proper cleaning in a while.

We had an excellent stay at Hotstel in Udaipur. The staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable as well. We really enjoyed the location as it was very to close to everything but tucked away into a quieter street. The rooftop has beautiful views! Thanks for having us!
