Lindsey was a big help and very supportive. Nice breakfast.

Owner was excellent quite welcoming offering us a hot tea upon arrival and a delicious breakfast in the morning. She also went out of her way to help us get an affordable taxi to our car rental location.

The breakfast was okay, but here was no choice it was cereal and a boiled egg no other option offered

The beds were not comfortable. The bedroom was called the garden suite with a double bed and a single. But the bedroom overlooked the garden with the two beds pushed together, there was only one bedside cabinet by the double bed nothing by the single. The toilet and shower room was a bit small.

It felt quite cozy like i normally really struggle settling in within a new environment but it was fun. And Lindsay was really friendly as well which did also calm my nerves.

There’s nothing I can think of if I’m being honest since I wasn’t really there that long, I was only in and out because of being in Edinburgh for the fringe festival.

Les transports en commun à côté

1.La salle de bain partagée sur le palier alors qu'il y avait un SDB communicante mais attribuée à une autre chambre avec tous les bruits qui vont avec. 2.Pas d'articles de bain hormis 3 serviettes, pas de bouilloire à disposition comme dans toutes les autres étapes de notre voyage. 3.Le lit très inconfortable Je regrette+++ d'avoir dépensé autant pour cette étape.

War eine gute Unterkunft für unsere letzte Nacht vor dem Flug. Flughafen ist von dort schnell erreichbar. Zimmer war gut, tolles Frühstück, nette Gastgeberin, Tesco in der Nähe.

Lindsay the host is very nice and helpful, the place feels like a home away from home (for people who travel often, that`s such a gem), the breakfast exceeded my expectations, everything very fresh, even berrys from the garden!

Super Frühstück! Lindsay hatte viele Tipps für Unternehmungen. Lage in ruhigem Wohnviertel. Supermarkt und Bahnhof mit Verbindung nach Edinburgh (35 min) sehr nah, max. 5 min zu Fuss.

Very friendly host, really great location for train station and travel to Edinburgh, very reasonably priced.

Our room bordered onto the bathroom of the neighbouring room, separated only by a blocked off wooden door, so soundproofing not great. I would have liked a kettle in the room, but the host did offer us a hot drink on arrival.

A beautiful traditional B&B in safe and quiet surroundings. Yet perfectly connected to public transport with the train station & bus stops 3 minutes away. I had booked the single room with shared bathroom and was pleasantly surprised to find the private toilet for the room was just across the hall and was a large room with a big sink. Perfect so I just needed to use the ‘shared bathroom’ to have a shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Clutter free also. Lindsay was the perfect host. Very knowledgeable about the area she offerd great advice. Finally I need to mention the breakfast provided was extremely tasty, so much choice and there was plenty of everything.

It would’ve been nice to have a kettle in the room.

The property was clean and staff were great with excellent customer service.

The bed was comfort and environment peaceful for my liking.

Vriendelijk ontvangst door Linsey met een pot thee. Stuurde van te voren nog een mail over ons verwachte aankomst tijd. Gunstig gelegen van het station van Rosyth (5 min). Ervaar de trein over de Forth (red) bridge naar Edinburgh. Prima kamer aan de tuinkant. Ruim ontbijt met veel fruit.

De badkamer van de 3 persoonskamer lag pal naast onze kamer en wordt door slechts één deur gescheiden. Alle badkamer geluiden waren duidelijk door de deur heen te horen. Daar schrokken we van. ( misschien isoleren?) Wij waren hier in aug gedurende het festival van Endinburgh. Het tarief was hierdoor 150 GBP voor een nacht. Normaal is dat rond 70 GBP dat beter bij de kamer past.

Desayuno impresionante. Lindsay lo prepara con mucho cariño y esmero. Las camas, grandes y muy cómodas. Colchones y almohadas, de primera. Muy funcional y práctico todo. Lo justo y necesario para estar cómodos.

Cajones en los armarios para guardar la ropa, arreglar el picaporte de la entrada y pasar más a menudo el aspirador por la moqueta, sobre todo si se va a estar varios días (sería bueno hacer una limpieza durante la estancia).

Continental breakfast was excellent , freshly prepared and presented well, I did not ask if Lindsey did yoghurt so cant say or not but I would have enjoyed that, fresh rasps grapes and plenty toast

I cant say I didnt like anything , I would have preferred en suite ,but understand this is not possible within the layout of the interior, its not a NOT LIKE just a preference and I was fully aware before my stay that I would have a shared bathroom {this was spotless and had a bath and shower .

Das Zimmer war sshr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück lekker und ausreichend.

Die Hellhörrigkeit durch die Wand- Badezimmertür war sehr stark.

Lindsay was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, close to the train and also for walking the dogs. The breakfast was very generous.

Lindsay went out of her way to be welcoming and helpful. It was a real home from home and the breakfast was excellent. I shall certainly stay there again if I am in Rosyth .

My room was a bit small, but it had everything I needed.

Amazing host. Lindsay had so much Tipps for us and was a great host. Breakfast was very good and the big room had enough space for the three of us. Loved the hot chocolate in the evening for the little one. Easy to reach Edinburgh by train from this place.

Very warm welcome from the hostess. Comfortable room which was small but was advertised as and was a single. Nice sitting/TV room for use and a good breakfast provided there. Good value for money.

Very thin curtains for a Scottish summer morning

This is the second time we have stayed at Caledonia House. Welcoming, clean, comfortable. Will definitely be returning for a third visit.

The place is very peaceful, with a pleasant atmosphere.,The breakfast was very nicely presented, and everything was fresh and delicious.

The room was a bit too small for three people. I was very surprised that there was no small table or kettle in the room. There was a dining room, but there wasn't a kettle there either. I didn't feel comfortable having to ask for tea or coffee every time I wanted one. My guests and I had to sit on the floor next to the beds because there was nowhere else to sit together, which was quite uncomfortable.

The owner is very nice and kind. She prepared a packed breakfast as my departure was so early.

Did what I wanted it to do. I basically needed a bed for the night, to avoid an early start and rush hour traffic drive to collect people from the Cruise port. Location was spot on for that, easy to find, close to the port, and close to Kincardine bridge, which is the direction I came in from.Lesley was delightful host, house clean , and continental style breakfast just what was needed for a quick, and delicious feed before nipping down to collect my passengers when they phoned ( at 8:30 ! )

Nothing really, apart from lack of en suite in the single room. However that is all I asked for, and the separate toilet was handy for the room, and not utilised by the other guests so I suppose it was as good as a private toilet. For the money and the pur[pose I needed it was 100% perfect. Also handy for the Indian / Asian buffet , 5 mins walk away at the top of the mainroad .

Lindsey was very kind

The house had a major doggy smell and the beds were very uncomfortable and the carpet was gross. She said they were cleaned all the time, but my husband has a severe dog allergy and I asked specifically about dogs. The whole house smelled like dogs. At least the windows opened and we were able to air out our room. We kept saying it was better than having to sleep under a hedge outside. I was very disappointed. Also, there was absolutely nothing in the bathroom to wash with. No soap, shampoo, rag, nothing.

The curtains in the bedroom were not wide enough and let the light in.

Edinburgh ist zu dieser Jahreszeit völlig überteuert (250€/Nacht hatten wir gesehen - das war uns dann doch zu viel). Daher haben wir uns nach einem B&B mit guter Erreichbarkeit von ED umgesehen. Tolles geräumiges Zimmer mit eigener Dusche/WC. Ruhige Umgebung - Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Nette und zuvorkommende Vermieterin. Wir hatten uns im Vorfeld über die Lage des B&B erkundigt und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. 5 Minuten zum Bahnhof mit etwa 1/2-Stunden-Takt nach Edinburgh (7,40 GBP daily return). Ebenfalls ab Bhf mit dem X55 im 20-Minuten-Takt für ebenfalls 7,40 GBP (daily return). Unweit ist ein PUB und ein Tesco.

Alles mit Teppichboden - sogar im Bad - na ja. Ist dann so eine Sache mit der Hygiene. Nicht gefallen hat uns das Frühstück - leider nur continental breakfast (wir hatten uns auf Bacon & Eggs gefreut)

A perfect location if you're travelling from the north of Scotland and have an early flight back home from Edinburgh Airport. The hostess is a lovely person, the lodgings are more than adequate, it is all clean and cosy.

Would love a private bathroom, but then I guess at this price range it is not what I should complain about.

Lindsey was a wonderful host and the breakfast was excellent. She had a lovely spread of food for us in the morning and we had an enjoyable time with the the other guest that were staying there. Would highly recommend this place.

The host was very abrupt on our arrival. Apparently we had put down we were arriving at approx 5pm, it was 4.45pm & she commented on this. No brew making facilities! The single room is tiny, the curtains are paper thin & dirty marks. Garden was over grown. The property is basically someone’s house on a housing estate. Wouldn’t even call it a guesthouse. There were opened/used toiletries outside the bathroom.

Lindsay is very helpful, tell her your plans and she give you very good recommendations. The chosen single bed budget room was sufficient and quiet, the breakfast tasty!

What an absolutely lovely host. Lindsay was so helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable. It's not the sort of accommodation we have experienced before as it was rooms in a house/home like a b&b but it was very comfortable and has all the basics. The bathroom was large and very clean. The bed comfortable with plenty of hanging space.. Maybe I misread the description but I wouldn't hesitate to return and can recommend.

Nothing to dislike, I'd have preferred more breakfast options maybe pastries and would have preferred real butter personslly but for the price the breakfast was fair. And there was plenty of it.

Good value, location and a nice large room.

A bit of confusion as to whether we could use the kitchen, no tea or coffee making facilities unfortunately. Bothering the host to make a brew all the time is stressful even when they say it's no bother! It's somebody's home which we didn't realise so couldn't really walk around inside. No signs on the doors, a guest thought our room was the toilet at one point. We also opened a door by accident looking for the lounge/kitchen.

The B+B had no sign on the outside saying its name, i had to ask a few people if they knew where it was , , breakfast was fine, owner was lovely

no lock on my door, i understand the owner lives there, but it did make me feel a little uncomfortable, unable to make my own hot drink in the room, so if i woke during the night i couldnt have a hot drink, no small television in my room,

I really appreciated how welcoming the host, Lindsay, was. Although I arrived a bit late on Sunday for my week-long stay, she greeted me warmly and immediately made me feel at ease. Just as others had mentioned in their reviews, she offered me a cup of tea, which was such a thoughtful touch. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home, safe, and genuinely well looked after. It made the entire stay feel comfortable and special.

Lindsay was very friendly and helpful. Good communication and she went out of her way to make the stay extra nice. She allowed us to bring our dog and also to arrange a takeaway dinner delivery (providing us plates etc and washing up). The location is great, very short walk from train station and to supermarket. It was perfect for us walking the Fife Coastal Path - only a short £10 taxi from Limekilns (the usual finishing spot on day 1). Our room was large, very comfortable beds and plenty toiletries. We were given a filling breakfast in the morning with lots of options. We will stay again in future.
