California Hotel

This is the second time I've stayed here and I always have a pleasent experience! The staff are amazing, it's in a quiet location & the rooms are very clean. It's a bit out of the center but you can get a Grab the in like 10 mins. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Trời ĐL hay mưa, nên bố trí thêm khu vực có móc treo áo mưa cho khách

Nergens in de boeking gelezen dat de kamers geen ramen hebben. Bedden zoals bijna overal in Vietnam, aan de harde kant.

The property was clean, quiet and safe. The staff were friendly and my room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was delicious and the view of nature was just what I needed after coming from Ho Chi Minh City.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about it.

We loved our time at California Hotel! The staff were so lovely and helpful with anything. The room was modern and clean and we loved the sauna! Breakfast was very good and we rented a scooter for our stay which was a great way to get around. Would definitely come back and can only recommend it!

This place has been the best accommodation in our trip, top notch hospitality and comfort. The location being a little far from the main market area makes it a lot more peaceful and perfect.

Мы забронировали номер с балконом и сауной и не пожалели, так как видели что простые номера очень темные и маленькие окна в ванную. У нас был большой, хороший номер. Байк 150 000 в сутки. Советуем посетить парк Delight Park Dalat с лазерным шоу вечером.

Долго греется сауна, но внизу очень холодно, нужно утеплять пол. Не понравились завтраки. Только вкусная булка, остальное все не вкусно. Хотя из булки можно сделать хороший Бань ми с разными начинками. Далековато от центра.

The staff were absolutely incredible ! Super friendly and welcoming, 10/10 customer service - nothing we asked for was too much trouble, they went above and beyond to accommodate our early check in and check out. The facilities are also impeccable, definitely the comfiest room we’ve stayed in across our 4 weeks in Vietnam- the robes and slippers are also a lovely touch to make the stay feel even more elevated. The bathroom was wonderful, I truly couldn’t recommend California hotel more. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Really nothing to write here, the only very minor suggestion I could think of is maybe adding some fruits and spreads (jam, peanut butter etc) as an option for the breakfast selection

Quiet location, but still close enough to everything. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The rooms were lovely and the surrounding gardens were beautiful. It felt very homely.

Everything was perfect! Comfy room, pleasant staff, amazing sauna in the room. The place is very quiet.

We stayed 3 nights . We liked the location it was away not too close to the city center but was very accessible by car.The room was clean. The staff were fabulous always here to help. We enjoyed the breakfast . The hotel has a very nice maintained garden, and the Christmas decoration at the reception was beautiful. The receptionist speaks very good english and she is always making we are fine . Overall, we enjoyed our stay at California Hotel.

I really enjoyed the hotel and especially the sauna. We were visiting during the low season so it was nice to get into sauna after rainy day outside. The room was clean, spacious, we didn't have any issues with hot water. The internet connection was also good enough for work.

Since we were only one guests the breackfast options were limited, it wasn't a big deal for us but still something to consider. Also the location is a bit far from the main attraction (we planned it that way but still something to share too)

This hotel is amazing. Although it is a bit farther from the city center, there are still plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Apart from the beautiful and clean rooms, what we appreciated the most was the friendly attitude of the staff – kind, helpful, and always smiling. The only reason I am taking off one star is the breakfast. The selection is rather limited, especially for non-locals who may find it difficult to choose. Otherwise, we definitely recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

The front desk people are very nice and supportive. They helped me book bus tickets and help me find places for photo shoot. The room I stayed also very nice, it has sauna and steamer. I highly recommend this hotel.

Well-equipped with high-quality amenities and nice decorations, and also this is a quiet area on a hill where is the atmosphere is fresh. My room has sauna service inside and is so comfortable for us.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Location was quiet, away from any busy roads or traffic. Staff were also very friendly :-) .

Amazing value for the hotel, staff very nice. A bit out the main areas but a short cheap taxi means that doesn’t matter too much I would highly recommend.

It was super comfortable and we had a steam room that was so great to use such a relaxing experience. However the steam room leaked loads which we had to mop up with loads of towels. The laundry service is very expensive as the charged per item rather than per kilo. A little bit far from the centre but no problem getting cheap transportation around.

The Stay was AMAZING. The rooms were lovely, we stayed in the San Francisco rooms which were perfect, the saunas were great. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. A special thank you to Duc Ha who was super helpful and helped us catch our flight that we very nearly missed! The hotel offered bike rental which was extremely cheap. Location was great. The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast. Really good value for money.

Bedsheets and overall good hotel vibe

New hotel, nice rooms and comfy beds. Location was okay if you have cars/ bikes to move around as it was on a rather quiet street. We enjoyed the in-room sauna since it was December and the weather was very cold outside.

The room on the ground floor near Reception area was quite cold, we couldn't make it warmer. Bathroom was quite small as well.

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The lovely quiet neighbourhood, the super friendly/professional staff, the room decor, the very comfortable beds/bed linen, how clean it was, amazing value for money.

Might be a little out of town for some but it’s only 10 mins by motorcycle/grab to the centre but we found the location to be one of the things we liked most plus they rent new, modern motorcycles with standard prices.

Nothing to fault, everything was perfect

This is the 2nd time we stayed at California. The room is always taken care well. It’s super clean and comfortable for us to stay. Especially thanks to California for helping me to surprise my husband on Christmas Day. Definitely will be our place to stay in Dalat

The staff is very attentive, helped every time. Several times they gave treats. The hotel looks like new everywhere, very clean. The sauna is warm, this is a great bonus for such little money. We arrived in Dalat in January and it was +10 at night, they gave us a heater and the room was very warm. Beautiful sunsets can be watched from the viranda on the roof, 360 degree view, available to all residents. I liked everything, thank you! Top hotel!

Friendly and very helpful staff. They did everything they could to make my stay better when I had some issues with the rooms.

Serious problems with mold. I wanted to like the place and the staff was extremely friendly, but unfortunately both of the rooms I tried had extremely moldy bathrooms. The humid environment of Vietnam makes fighting mold challenging. On top of that, the bathrooms featured saunas and steam rooms. All that humidity combined creates the perfect environment for all kinds of mold. The bathrooms only had one vent - one single vent for a large space with a shower, a sauna, and a steam room. Usually that kind of space requires at least three separate vents paired with heating elements such as floor heating to combat the humidity. The staff tried their best to help, bringing a dehumidifier and cleaned some of the biggest patches of mold, however, parts of the walls and the ceiling were completely covered in black mold so a simple surface clean and a portable dehumidifier doesn’t do much in the bigger picture. I think the HVAC design of the building is fundamentally flawed. Heating and ventilation are the most important tools in preventing mold and the bathrooms have very little of either. I understand that an integrated heating system is expensive and might feel like a waste of money in Vietnam where daytime temperatures are often 24 °C or more even in winter, but I’d gladly pay double the price if I just had a completely clean and fresh room without the musty smell of mold. And I’m not suggesting that integrated heating elements make any financial sense in Vietnam in general - I’m suggesting that they would make a lot of sense in a hotel specifically featuring saunas and steam rooms, even if that meant considerably inflated room prices. Some of my belongings such as my backpack smelled of mold days after checking out of the hotel. I’ve encountered mold in many hotels, and I understand it’s a part of life in humid places and cannot be eliminated completely, but this hotel had the worst mold problem I’ve ever encountered and it was just too much.

Incredible service from start to finish. We were so well taken care of by the hotel manager and staff, I have never experienced anything like it in Vietnam. So friendly and accommodating. The rooms were stunning and felt premium with our own personal sauna. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Amazing staff! Very hospitable and caring. We arrived late into the night because of our flight being delayed. They were so sweet and understanding, even served us tea and cookies. Amazing team that was incredibly friendly, supportive, and informative. They gave us a list of places to eat, visit, etc. You can rent their motorbikes there for cheap and it's close to the centre of everything. Rooms were clean and neat. Each morning, cleaners came in to make the bed, provide new towels, and get rid of the rubbish. On the night we left, all available staff came out to wave us goodbye at the car. So sweet and definitely felt like luxurious service. Would definately stay here again
