C’est la deuxième année que nous venons babas guesht House et franchement on ne regret pas très bon rapport qualité prix les chambre son spacieuse et très propre la possibilité de louer un scooter est un plus, ils sont en parfait état nous sommes près de la plage et du centre ,le personnel est au petits soins les consommations sur place sont à prix très honnête les petits dej très bien n’hésitez pas je vous Recomandé à 100%/100%

So eine schöne, saubere und angenehme Unterkunft in toller, ruhiger Lage. Die Gastgeberin war so liebenswert und freundlich und hat uns jeden Tag versüßt. Wer gerne schnell im Geschehen ist, aber eine ruhigere Lage bevorzugt, ist hier genau richtig. Man ist mit dem Roller in 5 Minuten mitten im Geschehen.

EXTREMELY noisy !!! Probably the noisiest room I have ever been (bungalow 5). Impossible to sleep. It is so loud anytime there is a car / scooter driving by as the room is right next to the road. AC not strong enough to properly cool down the room. Location is a bit outside and not convenient at all if you don’t have a scooter. Very basic room but that’s ok for the price. No cleaning, no shower gel (only soap).

You should hire a scooter in order to get around, but it was between the city and the beach, so everything was around 5 minutes ride.

What I Liked: * Cleanliness and Room Appearance: The rooms are commendably clean, tidy, and sharp. * New Building: The building itself appears to be brand new. * Quieter Location: It's significantly quieter here than in the heart of the city, offering an escape from urban noise. * Absence of Vehicle Noise: There are no automobiles and heavy trucks, contributing to a more peaceful environment. * Layout and Escape: I liked the layout of the guest house and the sense of escape it provides from the "hum of life." * Fair Price: The price is fair for the amenities offered, which include a private room with a bathroom.

What I Didn't Like: * Severe Sewage Smell: The most significant issue is a distinct and pervasive smell of raw sewage coming from the bathroom, due to the apparent lack of P-traps and likely no exhaust system. This greatly diminishes the guest experience. * Construction Flaws: There are noticeable flaws in the building's construction, specifically with the wall material (possibly taped-over concrete or sheetrock) peeling, suggesting unprofessional installation exacerbated by humidity. * Lack of Pool: There isn't a pool available to cool off in, meaning guests need to leave the premises for that amenity. * Noisy Animals: While quieter than the city, there are still noisy stray dogs barking at night, as well as goats and roosters. * Overall Value (Due to Smell): Despite other positives, the overpowering sewage smell reduces the overall value significantly, bringing it down from a potential 8/10 to a 4/10. By covering the drains including the sink as well as the overflow in the sink, I was able to mitigate the smell of the sewage. As a plumber with years of experience, I knew what the smell was immediately and that was the first thing I did when I got into the room after I decided I was going to stay. I know my neighbors in the rooms around me were probably suffering more because I had plugged the only exhaust for the sewage system off and routed it into their rooms instead of mine. However, a simple sewage exhaust system and p-traps in all the drains would completely solve this issue and should have been done during construction. I've noticed more than one building in Moalboall with this type of construction. including the McDonald's down the street at Grand Gaisano's. I can't imagine that. The engineer that designed the plumbing was able to get that approved. I'm assuming that there's anyone that actually approves the plumbing?

Very quiet. Nice atmosphere in the garden. Friendly owners. Scooter rental and tour booking through host / reception. Clean room. We came to do the canyoneering activity, which we booked through the guesthouse and it was really, really fun. Absolute must-do.

Too far to walk anywhere, especially at night (quite far along an unlit road). No real blanket, only a small sheet of fleece. We asked for an extra, and received an even thinner curtain / tablecloth / piece of fabric🤷‍♂️ Room etc. overall ok, but some minor maintenance is needed - fx. the bidet spray holder was loose and came out on each use.

Unser Aufenthalt in Babas Guesthouse war super und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alle sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Roller, den wir über die Unterkunft zu einem guten Preis mieten konnten, war in einem Top-Zustand. Es gibt sogar die Möglichkeit für einen Aufpreis zu frühstücken (haben wir aber nicht wahrgenommen). Warmwasser, Klimaanlage, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, TV - alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Besonders toll war für uns die kleine Terrasse vor dem Zimmer, auf der es Steckdosen neben dem Tisch gab und wir daher auf dem Laptop etwas arbeiten konnten. Super schöner, grüner Innenhof! Die Lage war für uns mit Roller auch optimal.

Einzig der Nachbar im Nebenzimmer hat mit der Musik und den Videos, die er ohne Kopfhörer den ganzen Tag laut auf der Terrasse konsumierte, ein wenig bei der Arbeit am Laptop gestört. Für rücksichtslose Gäste kann die Unterkunft natürlich nichts. Das war einfach persönliches Pech in dem Fall. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder Babas Guesthouse wählen!

Location - we had scooter which we rented from this guesthouse 5 min from town from where you could catch bus to Cebu or opp direction batao for Oslob 5 min to beach and other eatery places Very calm place and not noisy. Staff : kind friendly and helpful Beds: comfortable and Aircon was there well functioning Had dry racking stands to put clothes to dry

i cannot recommend this place more. one of the best places we have stayed in asia, they offer motorbike rental so you can easily get around. Very kind staff and owner. Comfortable and great shower, we’ve booked to come back for 21 nights!

Everything was good except a little mold in the bathroom on the floor. I reccomend to clean this with a special mold remover. But this is it. Everything was a 10!

This place was well run by well trained staff and they were always happy to help, with a smile. You could rent a motorcycle from Babas Guesthouse at a very responsible price. 400 pesos per day

The place is very comfortable and quiet! The room was large and well maintained and the on site staff are excellent and so friendly!

The property is a 40 minute walk out of the main strip but we didn’t find this a problem at all as motorbikes are provided for a great price!

Definitely the place where I felt most at home, personally I would live in this place. Friendly staff and always available for anything you need. The owners are wonderful.

Peaceful environment

The room was spacious and spotless...checkin was a quick and easy and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had one breakfast here and it was very good...we ate elsewhere the remainder of the stay. Kettle for water, refrigerator and lots of space. Babas is a short ride away, (read quiet) from the touristy part of Moalboal and equidistant to the mall and other amenities should you require that as well. Comfortable bed, great air con and we asked for and received an extra blanket for the room in record time. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and will certainly stay here again!

Location is 2.5 km away from Panagsama but you can rent a scooter if you ever need one. We brought a car so it was good that they have parking space few meters away from the guesthouse. Room is clean and spacious. Host is friendly and helpful too.

What a great place, and very affordable, friendly staff, owners were helpful and always made themselves available for us. Provided us with an affordable motorcycle rental. The motorcycle was almost new. Babas is on sealed road not far from panagsama beach and night-life but you really need transportation as not so many tricycles pass by. Highly recommended. Filipino breakfast was also good.

The shower pressure was terrible but the tap had a lot of water pressure and there was no bucket and no kabo for an alternative to shower after being out on the beach. A small thing but still managed. Still highly recommend the place

Little far from main strip and beaches

The room is very clean and spacious, we felt confortable in it. It is in a quiet neighbourhood. You can rent a scooter directly at the guesthouse.

It is a little bit out of center both from Moalboal and Panagsama, so you have to take a ride each Time.

Everything perfect, scooter for rent there for only 400 for a brand new scooter. I short ride to panagsama beach but no problem at all. Breakfast easy but good! The staff is very good and is there for all stuff you need.

I would recommend putting the double bed on the other wall facing the TV which would make it more comfortable to watch and will reduce the noise from the main road

The staff + owner are extremely friendly When I arrived it was very clean You even get a breakfast which was delicious and is already included in the price When it comes to the price you have to say its a really nice place for small money The rooms are big and I would say almost European Standard The outside area is a nice place to chill in the evening -> can definitely recommend it!!!

The Guesthouse could be a bit closet to the beach - but for me it was no problem because you can easily rent a Motorbike at the Guesthouse for small money
