A roof over my head i suppose.

Everything. The smell of old Old shabby delapidated place and Cold hit me as a walked in. When got in the room felt and looked like a poorly cared for old peoples home. Dark and dingy . Very Busy roads, the noise of traffic from both sides of the room, when youre tired all you need is peace and quiet not constant trffic noise buttering your ears.

La patronne est très avenante et disponible pour aider ou discuter. Possibilité de stationnement gratuit. Hôtel au charme désuet idéalement situé près 1) d'un parc dans lequel la patronne nous a recommandé un restaurant sympathique ; 2) d'un pub au menu typique. Petits-déjeuners copieux avec beaucoup de choix.

Évitez la chambre n°1 qu'on ne peut pas débarrasser de son odeur de moisi/humidité. Le contact avec les serveuses a été un peu compliqué le premier jour.

Located a short walk from town. Car parking on site. Hotel next to a well maintained park with bandstand and children's play area. Plentiful breakfast with a wide range of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff

All the staff were very friendly and the place was immaculately clean. A very good.location opposite Howard Davis Park and a 5 or so minutes stroll the town centre. The cost was OK, much cheaper than other places I've stayed at in Jersey, but I wouldn't return.

Traffic was noisy all night l, so.ask for a quiet room.if youre a light sleeper, and a 6am refise collection on Saturday morning wasn't great. Breakfat was a stricked 0830 - 0930 which is bizarre on a weekend, particularly as there were no cooked items other than toast. A 10am checkout time is also far from satisfactory, an 8am.wake.up to.enure breakfast is not what anyone needs.on a holiday - even Premier Inn allow for a miday check out, so breakfast was skipped.on check out day. The hotel is Very dated, very 1970s but unfortunately no Teasmaid.in the room! Avocado bathroom suites were the height of fashion 50 odd years ago but a refresh is sorely needed - we half expected Basil Fawlty to make an appearance. My room had an updated shower which was very clean; unfortunately the water.pressure.is minimal, the towels tiny and the showerhead bracket broken. It wasnt worth complaining for 2.nights butnit does need to be fixed. So the highlight was the staff who were cheerful.amd wel oming; the downside? A very, very dated hotel.

L'hôtel est charmant avec une bonne ambiance. Christina la gérante est prévenante et de bons conseils avec un vrai accueil. On se sent très bien dans cet hôtel. La déco so british nous va à ravir. L'hôtel est près d'un joli parc et proche du centre. Petit déjeuner servi avec fruits frais, fromages, jambon, viennoiserie... parfait !

Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable . Old world charm. Opposite beautiful park. Parking available and we had no problem parking there but relatively few places. Home made marmalade for breakfast.

L’authenticité à l’anglaise avec le petit déjeuner servi à table. La breakfast box préparée avec soin pour tenir compte de notre horaire de départ matinal pour le ferry.

Un peu trop de luminosité dans la chambre la nuit à cause de l’éclairage de la ville.

Owners, Phil and Christine are excellent hosts and always available to help or answer questions. Annabella in breakfast dinning room always cheery when serving. The breakfast choice is more than adequate to set you up for the day, offering tasty ham and cheese or fruit and cheese, plus usual fare. If you are a Rolling Stones fan you will be amazed at the incredible array of photographs and memorabilia in the bar.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Gastgeber waren sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Dans cette établissement nous avons été accueilli comme des rois ! Le personnel est très accueillant et agréable, la chambre était grande et avait suffisamment d’espace pour nous et notre bébé. Un lit bébé a été mis en place sans même avoir à redemander. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et les serveuses sont très très gentille.

Ce n’est pas vraiment que nous n’avions pas aimé mais plutôt des points à améliorer selon nous, la literie serait à changé car les matelas et les oreilles étaient pas ultra confort. Et éventuellement des rideaux plus opaque car le jour arrive très tôt dans la chambre. Ce qui pourrait être bien serait d’élargir le petit déjeuner en rajoutant des œufs et du bacon par exemple.

Tout!!! Les propriétaires sont extrêmement gentils et agréables, hôtel déco vintage et très British, j'ai adoré. Le petit déjeuner excellent. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 15/le 20 mn à pieds du centre, gare maritime, station de bus. Excellent rapport qualité prix.. Je recommande cet hôtel

Le fait de réserver deux chambres alors que j’aurai pu prendre une seul chambre familiale car il y avait suffisamment de lit dans une chambre mais c’est plus lié à Booking je pense. Le parking car compliqué à trouver et place limité

Hottest time of year and no air con or fans.As had to keep windows open was very noisy at night and in morning due to main road and traffic lights . 2 people in family room so cut off alot of space in room.

Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner au Mornington Hotel lors de notre séjour à Jersey et nous ne pouvions pas rêver mieux ! Christina et son mari sont des hôtes absolument exceptionnels. Ils nous ont accueillies avec une immense gentillesse et ont été aux petits soins avec nous tout au long de notre séjour. Leur sourire, leur disponibilité et leur bienveillance rendent l’expérience encore plus agréable. Comme notre ferry repartait très tôt le lendemain matin, ils ont même eu la délicate attention de nous préparer un pique-nique pour le voyage. Ils nous ont également dépannées en nous vendant un adaptateur afin que nous puissions recharger nos téléphones. Ce sont de petites attentions qui font toute la différence et qui montrent à quel point ils se soucient du bien-être de leurs clients. La chambre était impeccable, le séjour a été parfait du début à la fin, et nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs. Un immense merci à Christina et à son mari pour leur accueil si chaleureux. Nous recommandons le Mornington Hotel les yeux fermés et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir lors de notre prochain séjour à Jersey !

Lovely clean property in great location walking distance to both sea and town centre. Went above and beyond for adapting to dietary needs.

Although décor is somewhat dated it's a lovely Hotel and has everything for a pleasant stay. All the staff are friendly and approachable with Christina and her husband helping you out with anything they can. Location ideal 10 minutes walk into town and also to the beach.

The breakfast was a set continental with not that much choice. But plenty of coffee and orange juice

Le Mornington Hotel est le lieu idéal pour découvrir Jersey. Situé à proximité du centre, près des bus, il permet de rejoindre rapidement les différents points d'intérêt de l'île. Christina, la propriétaire, est adorable et particulièrement serviable, ainsi que l'ensemble du personnel. Enfin, le pub typiquement anglais situé dans l'établissement ainsi que les petits-déjeuners traditionnels permettent un vrai dépaysement :-)

Brilliant location to explore the town and the island. Great for buses and ferries. And the marmalade is fab!

My room was on the front next to the main road which was very busy from early morning until late. And traffic fumes were awful. Such a shame as the hotel is great. It’s also a bit of a museum which I grew to appreciate but you have to like team furniture, cork wallpaper and avocado bathrooms. The bar and lounge were creepy.

Our room no. 9 was located at a very busy road. Lots of traffic throughout the night. Could not close the windows since the room does not have airco

Christine und ihr Team waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war sehr lecker. Es gab verschiedene Teller (Obst, Käse, Schinken-Käse), für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei. Bushaltestellen sind in der Nähe. Am letzten Tag mussten wir früh los, weswegen wir nicht frühstücken konnten, dafür bekamen wir dann zwei Lunchpakete mit. Das war sehr aufmerksam.

Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, besonders das Bad. Es war teilweise recht laut, auch in der Nacht bzw am Morgen.

Un hôtel qui m’a paru très "british", ce qui est normal à Jersey. L’accueil est chaleureux. La chambre 20 est un rien petite, ceci est dû à la présence de lits superposés...qui ont servi pour déposer nos affaires ;) La salle de bain est correctement équipée, bonne douche. Le moment petit-déjeuner est apprécié. Choix entre différentes assiettes : fruits, jambon, fromage. Vous avez aussi du jus, yaourt, croissant...

Almost everything, no a/c, no hot breakfast, very old furniture including carpets and a tiny old tv. Smelly probably because of the old carpets. Will never be back at this place

Lage beim Park, Inhaber waren sehr freundlich. Zeitreise im Hotel..

Frühstück nur zwischen 7.30 - 8.30 möglich und dazu noch ein kleiner weiblicher General der die Gäste umherkommandiert. Fenster im Zimmer können nur angelehnt werden und so kann nicht gelüftet werden.

De locatie was heel centraal vlakbij Howard Davispark wat heel leuk was. Het personeel was ook heel aardig

De kamer was redelijk maar zonder airconditioning of fan. De badkamer was gemaakt voor hele kleine mensen. Laag toilet en wastafel en geen ruimte om iets neer te leggen. De douche was heel klein en smal je kon je er bijna niet in bewegen. Verder was het lawaai van de straat heel storend. We vonden t ook jammer dat er geen keuze was bij ontbijt. Er werd alleen continental breakfast geserveerd. Geen traditioneel Engels ontbijt.

Das Frühstück war gut. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels war gut, man geht durch den gegenüberliegenden Park (der sehr schön ist) und ist kurzer Hand am Wasser & in der Innenstadt. 4 Parkplätze vorhanden, wir hatten einen.

Die Matratzen waren schlecht. Das Mobiliar ist in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten ein 2 Bett Zimmer, den Schrank bekam man nur auf, wenn man das eine Bett weggeschoben hat. Es kam nicht viel Wasser aus der Dusche, lange Haare zu waschen war nicht möglich. Die Toilettenspülung war auch schlecht.

Too 1970s for today's tastes. Spotless but avocado bathrooms, very patterned carpets, shabby bedroom furniture, very hot in bedroom with no fan or air conditioning

I arrived pushing a Zimmer Frame but was immediately provided with a four-wheel walker … a vast improvement … without it, my mobility is greatly limited. The proprietress couldn’t be more helpful and appeared genuinely concerned for my welfare and comfort. Top marks.

The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and flexible (with earlier breakfast for example). Nice breakfast options and loads to eat. I love that the hotel still has its 1970s decor throughout. The shower worked well and was very hot! The hotel has a bar and a TV room and is generally very cosy. The bar has a working jukebox! The hotel is 10-15 walk from central St Helier and the bus station which is perfect for getting around. The free lido Havre de Pas is also about ten minutes walk away. It felt very comfortable overall and we felt very welcome.

Only thing is the hotel is on a main road so there is some traffic noise.

Lovely friendly welcoming owners and staff. Great breakfast, especially loved the smell of freshly baked croissants wafting into my bedroom every morning. Great location to walk into St Helier and to the bus station. Would highly recommend

Don’t judge a book by its cover!! Initially I was a bit put off by the decor, however the bedroom was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was very compact but very clean.

Friendly, helpful staff, quirky decor, wonderful continental breakfast beautifully presented, easy access to bus station. Comfortable bar with some interesting photos of well known rock stars. A very convenient base for exploring Jersey. Returning guests were very friendly and helpful too.

No outside space. Bathroom dated , bath old and chipped in places in need of renewal. Shower was efficient but had to step into bath to use it.

The continental breakfast was awesome - thick cut ham, various fruits, cheeses, cereals, toast, croissants, jams, yoghurt, tea & coffee, orange juice and home-made marmalade. The presentation of the food was fantastic. Even better was the super friendly and competent ladies who worked the breakfast room. The breakfast room itself was lovely. The rest of the staff were great too! The room was basic but clean and comfortable and was serviced daily. The location was ideal being a 10 minute walk to the centre of St Helier.

The hotel had a very interesting style, the staff were incredibly friendly and supported us with parking a large van on site. Exceeded estimations given its very reasonably priced nightly rate. A short walk into St Helier main area - very much enjoyed the stay

I enjoyed the breakfast but it would have been nice to have some eggs & bacon.
