I had booked five nights here, and my husband joined me for the last two - I was expecting to pay for his breakfast but got charged 1200 ZAR additional - a large amount given what I had already paid. Overall, overpriced compared to other accommodations.

Our room was immaculate, elegant and spacious and we enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. All very thoughtful and well organised. We really do recommend this lovely spot for a traditional guest house experience.

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026This is my second review as we left and came back the following weekend. This place was amazing. So accommodating with keeping our bags and taking care of our every need. We will always remember Max’s iced cucumber water by the pool and Philip and Steven’s amazing breakfasts ☺️

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026We loved everything about this guesthouse, from the warmest of welcomes from Max and Stephen, the ongoing attention to our every need of Philip, our room, the pool and the amazing breakfasts which definitely set us up for the day. We felt we were ideally located in this area as nothing was more than a short, low-cost uber ride away. We were given great advice on where to go to eat and where to visit. We went away for a weekend and were able to leave some luggage safely stored at the guest house which was really helpful. Any down time we had was spent in the lovely gardens, next to the pool, taking in some gorgeous SA sun rays. There is a school next door but this didn't detract from our time. There is also a small gym where we spent a few happy moments doing some yoga or a quick workout which really helped us feel better for the wedding we were going to attend later. Max, Stephen and Philip couldn't have done any more to make our stay comfortable and most memorable. We highly recommend this fabulous guest house in Rondebosch!

Some of the rooms are upstairs and was a challenge with large suitcases as this was the start of a long time away from home so we had more luggage than one would normally have for a 1 nights stay somewhere

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026We liked the professional style of Steven, the housekeeper, the most! He knows exactly how to make the guests comfortabel and relaxing. Furthermore this house breaches the most elegant and luxurious style of classic decoration which is executed in perfection. They even have a very nice located and hygienic gym where you can use difference fitness apparatus and tools.
It was difficult to take a hot water shower in the luxe suite.

Es gab nur eine Liege und einen heilen Sonnenschirm am Pool. Es gab keine Lärmschutzfenster.

Lack of staff - e.g. on the day of arrival, we waited at the gate for 15 minutes before anyone buzzed us in; staff always helpful when available, but often there was no-one around. Didn't know that our room looked out onto a primary school, and that there would be noise from about 7 AM onwards.
