Victoria Homestay

The room we had at this homestay was lovely! Really convenient location, about a km away from Fort Kochi water metro station and the beach. Genuinely sweet and helpful owners as well. Has a balcony facing the road (but the road is not too busy) and a terrace. There are two rooms that are let out on the first floor in the homestay, so if you don't mind sharing a floor with other people, then it's perfect. Also has a shared kitchen with basic facilities to make coffee/tea, a fridge, etc. Room and bathroom were kept very clean.

Location is the Speciality. Its in the central and it's easy go to the surrounding places from there. Restaurants important areas all in walkable distance.. The owners are a lovely couple. They even arranged a personal trip for us to attend Sunday Worship. They gave us an umbrella which was really helpful hence it was heavy raining the days we stayed that was without asking. Very kind people. We had our privacy. Totally nice experience

Clean and good location

It’s in heart of the town. You can walk around everywhere from here. Host is very friendly and helpful. I stayed 7 days in here it was too comfortable to leave. They even gave us cold fruits when it’s very hot outside.

It was clean.

We were provided with just two bottles of 1 L bottle for the stay. There's no filter or drinking water. Even the AC control was not there. They have the remote to turn ON and OFF the AC and they turned off the AC before we even checked out because it was already time to check out. We don't feel any hospitality from the host

We stayed one night and had an evening flight out of Kochi. The hosts looked after our bags while we were visiting the town and allowed us to shower and rest before going to the airport, even though we had checked out. We were offered fruit, cake and tea on arrival and again while waiting for our taxi to the airport. The kindness and attentiveness of our hosts was exceptional.

You can find places to stay that are quieter, that have a beautiful garden, that are more stylish but you won’t find such genuinely kind people.

We stayed for one night. The owners were very friendly and the property was in perfect walking distance from the coast as well as transportation.

The room was cosy but was perfect for what we needed for only a one night stay.

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war rundum gelungen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich und sorgen mit ihrer offenen Art dafür, dass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die Lage ist ideal, um Fort Kochi zu Fuß zu erkunden. Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind schnell erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und bot alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Eine tolle Wahl für alle, die Wert auf eine persönliche Atmosphäre und eine gute Lage legen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

The proximity to the happening place in a homely setting. The owner Mr Varghese was very courteous and was helpful. The rooms to eye view when entered were clean. Bathroom was clean too.

The room was much congested than it appeared in the pictures. No hot water. (Available on request) Noisy as it is on the main road. For the price we had to pay 500bucks extra to use AC which was definitely not worth it. Rooms have to be deep cleaned. There was lot of dust on the attic and under the ceiling. No storage. Good for a short visit and for bachelors.

Very caring hosts, felt like home. The room has everything you need and it felt safe as a female solo traveler. The AC and wifi was good. Great location, very close to Santa Cruz Basilica, and 5-10min walking to the tourist ares Fort Cochin.

Great value! The place is nice and very well located. It's very clean, there are only two rooms and a little shared living room (and a small kitchenette too where you make some tea). The room is nice and comfy, good fan. The couple hosting are adorable! They are nice, smiling and attentionate. They offered me tea when I arrived, and also some treats. They kept our bags when we checked out as we were only leaving at night, but also allowed us to use a washroom at the end of the day before leaving.

I guess the only thing would be the shower, which had a poor water pressure, but it's manageable

Owner and his wife are very friendly and accommodating. Room is small but very clean with good bug screens on all windows and bathroom is clean. Property is a pleasant short walk (5mins) to centre of town where all restaurants/shops are. Owner brought us lovely sweet snacks made by his wife and gave us a lift to the water metro when we left.

Road is noisy but earplugs do the trick!

The homestay is very nearest to all must visiting places in Fort Cochin. And the house owner is very friendly and helpful. From the day he receives us, he make us comfortable like home. And every morning tea or coffee which we asking he is providing is with lots of love. Worth for a money to stay here.

It's a very good place to stay for vacations .All famous spots are near to that house . Ambience is good . Uncle is very friendly and helpful . They offered us watermelon 🍉 salad for refreshment and snacks and tea . While checking out they offered us delicious 😋 sarbat .

One of my most favorite home stays ever. Varghese and Lizzy made us feel like true family, so warm, welcoming, and generous. They were extremely communicative beforehand, during our stay, and helped us with anything we needed. Everything was so clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect in Fort Kochi, central to everything and walking distance. Will absolutely be staying here anytime we return to Kochi :)

The owner was snoopy each time coming up into the room. I was working night shift he even came in middle of the night at 3:30 am and asking when will I sleep and when will I turn off the lights.

Couple hosting was really nice and friendly to me. They made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The room was spotless clean, brand new bathroom. It was easily one of my best stays in India.

This homestay was absolutely spotless. Nice Bathroom and Bedroom with a comfy mattress. The owners are delightful, very nice people and were nice enough to let us check in early and arranged a tuk tuk for us when we left for the train station. They also gave us a nice cup of chai and some fresh fruit as well. It's just a short stroll from the fishing nets and waterfront and right across the road is an excellent restaurant we ate breakfast and lunch at a few times. Right next door is a little street front shop if you fancy an Omellette of chai or a lime soda too. Cold drinks available as well. We booked a fan room and when we were in Cochi we had some very hot sticky weather. We survived the first night with the fan but the second night spent a little extra and had the Air Conditioning turned on for a blissful icy old sleep.

The property was perfect - pick the time of year you visit Fort Cochi though. It was very hot when were there in March.

The property was in an amazing location right in the centre of fort kochi, the room and balcony were both clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Not only was the property amazing, but the hosts treated us incredibly and always offered help and advice. It was one of the best accommodations my friend and I stayed in whilst backpacking around India.

PERFECT LOCATION ! The place is clean, the hosts are AMAZING! We got homemade sweets everyday and free breakfast, what else do you want ? They treat you so nicely, it's like we are part of the family, and they also can keep your privacy if you wish to. The rooms are conveniently located upstairs, accessible by an outside staircase, so privacy won't be an issue here. Stop looking and book this place already, because it is the place to be ! We are so grateful, if you want to discover india, sightseeing is great, but getting to know the customs by inhabitants is best, and that's what you will get here : genuine interactions in this perfectly located place. We loved everything, so no bad points 😉 There is a fan and a window, ac is additional cost, but it is usual in Indian homestays, don't feel cheated about it, it is a common thing. And also the price of the room is so cheap that you can't complain about it. See it like a way to make the room even cheaper if you don't want ac.

A very lovely couple. He was very helpful took my partner to get his washing done and various other suggestions and his wife made us loads of yummy snacks 😋 the room was nice and clean. Really good location with lots of museums and other attractions.

First it’s Location, If U Are walking lovers 5 to 10 min than than the Beach, Vasco Da Gama Square, Portuguese church, Hotel is near by, Tuk Tuk ( Auto) stand is just next to the stay, they charge 150 to 200 Per hour to make you visit to all tourists points, so its take 3 hrs minimum for cover all the point. I will share u the Tuk tuk driver Number, He was a very gentleman he charged me 500/- rs for 3 hrs he was very patiently guiding me through out the visit. The Credit goes to the Owner of the Property Mr, Varghes he is very helpful & kind, a very good gentleman, If you are in need of anything he will help you to get it , Its a new property, so pls Encourage him to Implement more amenities and facilities, Pls don’t mind if something is lacking. Day by day he is trying his best to Do the best...! All the Best Mr Varghes & Family.

We had the best stay at Victoria Homestay! The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from all the sights in beautiful Fort Cochin and with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean, and we loved sitting on the terrace watching life go by on the street below. Best of all were the owners, who were the kindest, loveliest people and made us feel so welcome - it was lovely to meet you and it really made our stay special! :) Would recommend to anyone and thanks so much for a great stay!
