Breathtaking Views

Amazing property! The views were beautiful, the whole house was very spacious and great for a mix of older & younger children. Great family home!

The views and location were wonderful. Lots of space and large kitchen.

Limited heating. Chellenging driveway especially if you have a laege vehicle.

The views are absolutely lovely and the balcony is great. There is plenty of room for everyone with comfortable sofas and a good size kitchen with a great fridge.

There were 10 of us staying in the house, 6 adults and 4 children but there weren't enough chairs for us all to sit comfortably around the dining table. We also did not have enough spoons, bowls for everyone. Many of the plates, cups were chipped. We had 5 bedrooms but only two heaters so the adults did not have any heating, as we stayed in the middle of winter this was an issue. Neither of the heated towel rails in the two bathrooms worked. One bedroom had no storage at all; another one had a broken handle on the closet so we couldn't use it. The lock on the ranch slider to the balcony was broken so it was very difficult to lock which was a security issue as the young children were able to get on to the balcony easily. The lock on the back door, by the children's bedrooms, didn't work too well and we found the door open during the first evening. We secured it with a couple of stools during our stay.

The view is what is the star of this property. Enjoyed watching the sun rise over the lake.

The driveway was steep and when damp had difficulty driving our large van up & down so needed to park on the street and carefully walk down.

The place is stunning with views to die for. Beds are comfortable, lovely warm place, heaters in all the rooms. Will definitely be back.

There was just a couple of things that we would suggest. There was only 3 rolls of toilet paper, we were happy to buy our own but would of expected a few more left for us. Only 1 teatowel. The salt was nearly empty. Would of been good to have some glad wrap or tinfoil for food. These are only very minor things but thought we would let you know.

Amazing views from the kitchen / dining area / lounge!

The downstairs rooms are very cold so an extra heater and blankets would've been great to have. Apparently there are some coming which was good to hear.

The views were absolutely stunning. Comfy bed. The space in the home was perfect for our group. We loved it. The driveway was a bit tight and steep. Fine for small cars not so much a big beast. But otherwise it was perfect. We would most definitely stay again if we came back this way

A few extra towels would have been great. And a couple more tea towels. Otherwise we were very happy 😁

There was clearly a rodent problem. Two mice discovered in the kitchen during our stay on the second day.Mouse poo all over the bench and floors. When we approached the owner about this she basically responded with a childish sarcastic remark about infestation and essentially didn’t believe us (even though one mouse was captured by us and we have photo evidence.) Regardless of what she will say to this she ignored my last communication asking if we could come to a mutual agreement for some compensation fee for our troubles considering we had two young children and we weren’t able to leave and find a booking in Taupo last minute on our last day there because of the school holidays. We ended up contacting booking.com for guidance and they also stated they found it difficult to deal with the owner and come to an agreement. We were not wanting a full refund for our entire stay simply a refund for the night the mice were discovered or at the very least half of that night fee considering we were paying almost $400 a night. This situation was completely unhygienic and stressful with young children. We have not heard back from the owner still at this point regarding moving forward with any compensation. Cockroaches were also found in the house during our stay which other reviews have also mentioned. The house was very damp and smelt musty. Apart from the view of the lake it wasn’t a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing views from the inside lounge dining area and outside deck. Lovely large property great for friends and family. Very comfortable beds and super clean with updated bathrooms and kitchen. Very nicely furnished and quiet location. Perfect for a relaxing stay.

Not a negative and it didn't bother us as we had a car but it is about 10mins drive out of Taupo as per the map.

The most amazing view, close to everything and the house was well laid out, clean, comfy and just lovely.

Wow this house was amazing - I wished we had stayed longer. The views were amazing and this would really suit a family to stay in with the two different levels of bedrooms and lounges. AIt is a wee way from Taupo central but suited us as the town was very busy when we travelled and it was great to get a bit of peace. Great little Dairy and a Bistro about 15 minutes walk or two minute drive away. Kitchen was awesome. So big!

The driveway is tricky to get into. Better if you are coming from the non Taupo end of the road

House needs some attention to detail. Cobwebs and dead house plants. Overgrown path to front door. No coffee or tea. Laundry door was permanently locked, creating risk.

The view was spectacular …this home is truly worth every penny …would stay again in a heartbeat and would have stayed longer if we were able too …

The views were indeed breathtaking and fantails and a tui in the native bush at the back of the house. Communication and instructions were very friendly and efficient. The property is well appointed and comfortable and we were able to check in early which was a lovely bonus! The kitchen had everything we needed and so nice to have knives that are actually sharp. We had a lovely time and enjoyed walks around the lovely quiet neighbourhood. The driveway is steep with a sharp bend but we were able to park 3 cars. Please be aware there are stairs from the carport to the home and two sets internally as well - handy to know if you have lots of luggage.

There was a small dead cockroach by the sliding door to the deck when we arrived and we also killed another two - one in the room downstairs and one in the hall. They were only tiny thank goodness and wouldn't deter us from staying again.

I had an amazing stay at breathtaking views. The rooms were super comfortable, the location was just perfect. View of lake taupo, oh my god, amazing it was. Will definitely revisit and recommend to other family and friends 🧡 Thank you breathtaking views

From a small driveway we were met by a nice house, but then you go inside and OMG..... wow ... the place is huge, luxurious and indeed, breathtaking. Five comfortable bedrooms, a stunning view. And the host was fantastic, we had a question about the TV, and received an immediate response, just surpurb. An amazing home that took the breath from our extended French family. Face timed around the world. Thank you.

We loved the location and views from the kitchen and lounge. It does have a light, summery, airy feel with comfortable decor and accessories. It was a shame we had a cloudy, cold day during our stay so only enjoyed the balcony experience for a short time. A beach home in the middle of winter was a treat. It was roomy for our party of six. The heater in the main living area upstairs and the sitting area downstairs worked a treat. The extra doona helped in one of the cold rooms downstairs. There was no microwave so we prepared food accordingly. Although the driveway has a steepish curve to it, we managed to get our 8 seater down there and had the passengers get in at the top of the driveway.

We had to leave early the next day so missed the sunrise experience over Lake Taupo.

Views were fabulous and beds were comfortable

No tea/coffe/milk. Some lightbulbs not working. Washing machine not working properly. Outdoor cushions had been left outside so very wet and couldn’t sit out there.

This property was so nice, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We will be very keen to return.

The driveway is a little steep and awkward, but fine if you have four wheel drive.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. The views were absolutely stunning, and the place was peaceful and spacious. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice! It was even better in person. A perfect spot to unwind and relax. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway.

Some of the rooms were quite cold at night. Having a few portable heaters or an electric blanket available would really help, especially during the colder months. But overall, these were minor things and didn’t take away from a great stay.

The location was perfect. The view was amazing. The house was spacious. We travelled to compete at a netball tournament held at the Taupō Events centre so it was nice to go home and just unwind where everyone had their own space.

It would have been perfect if there was a microwave. We pre-cooked our meals because by the time we finished out games it was late. By doing this it meant we could save time and just reheat them. Unfortunately we had to throw whatever we didn’t eat out because once reheated you can’t reheat it again. At least with a microwave you could take what you can eat and reheat and nothing goes to waste.

The views are indeed breathtaking :) The location was very convenient. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short family holiday. We’d be happy to stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Views and space

When you have 4 females staying a mirror in each bedroom rather than just bathroom would have been great. No microwave, dishcloth, face cloths. Would have been nice to have known driveway access from one direction only. Also a compendium of things to see, where closest amenities were would have been helpful

Grand n beautiful view of lake taupo at Acacia Bay. Light and airy feel.

Driveway was a little difficult to get in n out(mine was a van..ordinary car would be better). Some facilities not working properly..doors..lock..water draining in shower. One room doesn't have any wardrobes.
