Die Lage ist zentral und doch ruhig gelegen. Am Morgen hatten wir eine wunderschöne Aussicht aufs Wasser. Das Frühstück wurde frisch und nach unseren Wünschen und Bedürfnissen zusammengestellt. Sehr lecker! Das Zimmer ist groß, man hat genügend Platz, ein bequemes Bett… leider waren wir nur eine Nacht dort. Ronnie ein herzlicher und aufgeschlossener Gastgeber mit vielen Tipps

Beautiful B&B. Exqusiquite breakfast – felt like a silver service. We stayed in the deluxe room overlooking the water – spacious and bright with stunning views. Ten minute walk to the station and 20 minutes to the centre of Cobh along a flat waterfront walk – easy. Would come back in a heartbeat.

We loved the location, the room (amazing space in a historic place) and the breakfast was out of this world. And Ronnie was very nice (we were late for check in but he was kind enough to stay up and wait for us). One thing only: there was not enough hot water after 9pm to fill up the tub, only in the morning. But deffinitely worth the view 🤗

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage. Sehr großes stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit geräumigem Bad. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und ein überragendes Frühstück bei dem es an nichts gefehlt hat.

Ronnie was extremely friendly and we felt welcome immediately. The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated throughout, the attention to detail was second to none. The bedroom was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, the linens smelled so nice we even asked what detergent he used. There was a substantial breakfast with a wide choice of items ... something for everyone. Thank you Ronnie, we would definitely recommend your guest house.

Absolut einzigartig. Ronnie ist ein super Gastgeber und sehr zuvorkommend. Frühstück im Wintergarten mit Blick auf die Bucht von Cobh, mit hausgebackenem Brot und regionalen Produkten.

Ein sehr schönes BnB in sehr guter Lage. Das grüne Zimmer mit Bad war sehr geräumig, sehr bequemes, großes Bett. Das Frühstück hervorragend und Ronnie ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber.

Oakhurst Guesthouse was absolutely fabulous. A taste of luxury! Ronnie our host was wonderful, so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble . The breakfast was superb, 5* hospitality and comfort. Will definitely stay there again if we're ever in Cobh. I would recommend Oakhurst every single time. Perfect location, a beautiful setting and fabulous house.

An elegant Victorian villa of immense proportions and beautifully curated by Ronnie and Ahmed. Our room was spacious yet cosy, enormously comfortable with the softest bed linen ever!

Ronnie ist der perfekte Gastgeber und hat gute Unterstützung von seinen zwei Goldendoodles. Er hat uns super Tipps gegeben und sogar einen Tisch im Restaurant für uns bestellt. Das Frühstück am Morgen war auch richtig gut. Rundum ein super Aufenthalt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Leider hatten wir spät abends kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Es gab aber eine Erklärung, da unsere Zimmernachbarn wohl ein ausgiebiges Bad genommen hatten.

Ronnie is a wonderful and interesting host. His breakfast is extraordinary: Greek yoghurt with Jameson honey and fruits, salmon with eggs, … simply a class of its own. We also appreciated his recommendation for restaurants, visits in Cobh and along the coast. All in all a beautiful stay in the Oakhurst Guesthouse!

Everything was great!

This place is absolutely stunning - every detail of the house, the rooms are just perfection. Hosts are fantastic and it has the bonus of a couple of very friendly dogs! Breakfast was first class - and if you're looking for a tranquil place to stay in beautiful surroundings, this is it!

Heel vriendelijke host. Wat een mooi pand en wat een prachtige slaapkamer, ingericht met veel smaak en eigen toets. Ontstekend ontbijt in veranda met zicht op de rivier. Cobh is een wandeling van 15 minuten ver. Het station is vlakbij met een verbinding naar Cork. De kust is niet ver.

Ronnie is een fantastische gastheer. Hij legt je echt in de watten! We kregen een heerlijk welkomstdrankje en mochten zelfs in hun woonkamer de WKfinale kijken. Samen met zijn man Ahmed en 2 prachtige goldendoedels hebben we een gezellige avond gehad. Ook het ontbijt in de ochtend wordt met liefde klaargemaakt. Griekse yoghurt, vers fruit, granola, vruchten en noten én whiskeyhoning!, verse jus, heerlijke ei met zalm, avocado en kappertjes. En dit alles in de prachtige villa op een mooie locatie. Voor ons was het top!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'accueil a été chaleureux et les hôtes ont été très attentionnés, toujours disponibles pour nous conseiller sur les visites et les restaurants de la région. La chambre était impeccable, confortable, calme et très propre. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux, varié et composé de produits de qualité. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans hésiter et y reviendrions avec grand plaisir lors d'un prochain séjour. Merci pour votre gentillesse et votre hospitalité !

Ronnie went above & beyond looking after us during our stay. Delicious breakfast & room/ensuite very comfortable. Not only is the location beautiful, the house interiors were stunning. Thanks for a very memorable stay!!

A warm welcome from host Ronnie upon arrival. The house is beautiful, location is good for the town as it’s a short walk along the waterfront. Lovely clean rooms, fabulous breakfast. If we are in the area again it’s a must stay place.

L’accueil des hôtes étaient très chaleureuse! La décoration de bon goût dans toutes les pièces avec une belle odeur de chandelle parfumée rendait l’endroit très agréable et invitante! Déjeuner de bon goût et toujours des belles attentions de la part des hôtes! Finalement notre séjour a été parfait et nous le recommandons fortement! Ça sera un plaisir d’y retourner! Merci à Ronnie et Amed pour ce beau séjour de deux nuits!

The closeness to downtown. Beautiful, collected property. Lots of art, flowers, and collected pieces. Very friendly host, offered many amenities, company, and suggestions. The bath was very nice!

Could hear talking from room across hall, however we brought a sound machine to drowned out extra noises around.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our stay.

Wonderfull host with two friendly dogs. Large beautifully decorated bedroom & washroom. Parking included & an easy walk along the waterfront to downtown Cobh. Excellent full Irish breakfast & egg options, while dinning in a wonderful solarium with views of the harbour.

Booking.com directions on the app needs to be corrected as it directs vehicle access to the north of the property rather than the south access gate.

Ligging is mooi en het pand is een statig oud herenhuis. Ontbijt was goed je kon doorgeven wat je graag zou willen eten. Heerlijk vers fruit bij het ontbijt.

De kamer was erg klein geen ruimte om bijvoorbeeld je toilet artikelen op de badkamer kwijt te kunnen. Bed was niet goed en kraakte enorm. Doorgegeven aan de eigenaar zodat de volgende bezoeker een ander bed krijgt. We mochten ruilen maar dan hadden we geen eigen badkamer meer.

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Ronnie ist ein aufmerksamer und sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Er hat uns ein hervorragendes Frühstück im Wintergarten serviert und uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We had an absolute wonderful stay in this newly renovated mansion. Ronnie our host was amazing. Nothing was too much for him. He genuinely wants to make sure you have the best time while staying in his home. We were given whiskey drinks and cake on arrival and introduced to his beautiful poodles, Teddy and George. The breakfast he cooked each morning was superb with everything set out like a 5 star restaurant. He even drove us into the town of Cobh to save us having to find a park. We have been in lots of bnbs during our travels and we would have to say this has been the best of the lot thanks to Ronnie’s attention to detail, love of meeting new people and genuine care for the people who come to stay. If you intend coming to the Cork area this is a must visit. Fantastic value for money, first class accommodation and views and fantastic conversations.

We absolutely loved everything

This place was awesome. The owners were one in a million - even so far as to give us a lift to the train to ensure we didn't have to wait for the next train, and a welcome cocktail. Water pressure was awesome, food was great, and we especially loved the gardens all around the house. We would definitely return here and would have certainly wanted to spend more than just one night here. P.s. if you stay here, set aside AT LEAST one day to explore Cobh and one for Cork. We rushed a bit and only spent one day exploring both.

Excellent host, wonderful breakfast, spacious accommodations and perfect location.

This was one of the most magnificent places that we stayed in! Ronnie and Ahmed have decorated the house beautifully and they were very generous hosts. They welcome you into their house and make you feel part of it (two gorgeous dogs included!) Room was super large with views of the river from every window and the bed was very comfortable.

The location was super, just a short walk from the bars, shops and facilities of Cobh with amazing sea views. Our host Ronnie (Ronay in french) was beyond hospitable, he took the time to welcome us, ensure that we had everything that we needed and exceeded hospitability during breakfast

Our stay at the  Oakhurst Guest house was absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best places I have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel completely at home. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the friendly atmosphere made the experience even more special. The host (Ronnie) was  incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The accommodation itself was comfortable, spotless, and full of charm, creating the perfect relaxing getaway. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high standards with such personal and heartfelt service. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Cobh. A truly memorable experience thanks to the wonderful hosts and their incredible hospitality.

Tolles Haus mit super Lage. Beim Frühstück mit Blick auf's Meer. Parken direkt am Haus. Sehr netter Gastgeber der alle Wünsche erfüllt. Da wir sehr spät ankamen reservierte Ronnie uns einen Tisch im Restaurant und fuhr uns auch noch dort hin. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und wurde auf Wunsch mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Eine der besten Unterkünfte auf unserer Reise. Der Whisky war auch sehr lecker . Danke

Absolut nichts

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick auf den East Channel, es ist liebevoll und mit sehr viel Stil eingerichtet. Das Stadtzentrum ist fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Herz des Hauses ist aber der Gastgeber, der einem den Aufenthalt mit seiner warmen Art, den Tipps und dem unglaublich leckeren Frühstück zu etwas Unvergesslichen macht. Danke hierfür!

Ronnie was a great host and was very welcoming. It is a lovely old home and they have done a lot of work in it to make it special.

Drive way entry is narrow (typical of most driveways we have encountered).

What an absolute little gem. This B&B was absolutely amazing set in a lovely locations with views out across the bay. Ronnie (the host) was friendly, funny, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was brand new and had just been renovated. It was massive with plenty of light from the massive new windows and plenty of space. The bed was super comfy (which was a god send as we were doing a lot of walking) The bathroom was superb, really nicely decorated, a bath with a view and a separate large shower. The property was spotless. Breakfast was fantastic, Ronnie caters for all appetites. I can definitely recommend the full Irish breakfast.

There was nothing bad about this property, the only detractor during our stay was the windy weather which Ronnie has no control over

Ronnie è stato meraviglioso in tutto: accogliente, gentile, molto simpatico. Ci ha coccolate dall'arrivo fin quando ce n'è siamo andate. La villa è spettacolare, sia esternamente, che all'interno. Finemente arredata e curata in ogni dettaglio e complemento, accogliente , bellissima e curata nei colori. Il dettaglio di ogni oggetto non è casuale. L'aperitivo di benvenuto è stato servito sui divanetti davanti al bovindo,con vista. La colazione è servita in un posto a sorpresa, a dir poco sensazionale. Il cibo era ottimo, cucinato con attenzione. Una colazione senza glutine difficile da trovare altrove. Una tavola imbandita senza precedenti. Un'esperienza sensoriale sotto tutti i punti di vista.

Einfach alles perfekt

Ronnie was an excellent host. Guesthouse is fantastic with a super view of the waterfront from the house and the garden. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was top class with great service. Ronnie was very flexible in response to requests and the offers of tea, coffee, whiskey and cake on arrival added to the stay. Overall very friendly and a great place to stay.

Ronnie our host made an outstanding full Irish breakfast to order for us. Best one of our whole trip around Ireland.

The house is beautifully decorated with lots of character and charm. We stayed in the deluxe room with a sea view and it was very spacious and comfortable. We had a a really good nights sleep and the view is wonderful. Ronnie and Ahmed are great hosts and make you feel very welcome. They are also very kind and warm people The breakfast was amazing and as we are both Vegan, Ronnie did not hesitate to ensure he was able to cater for us. They, even phoned a local restaurant for us to check if it had some vegan options on the menu. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakhurst bed and breakfast.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Ronnie and were made very welcome. This is a lovely Charming Victorian Guest house. Then we were shown to our room and Ronnie showed us where everything was the room was very clean and tidy. Later on we had arranged to meet friends in town, Ronnie even offered to drive us in. When we arrived back we were just about to head up to our room when Ronnie came out of the sitting room and asked us if we would like a nightcap, we said yes that would be very nice. We then were joined by Ahmad & the 2 gorgeous Golden Doodles, we chatted for about an hour in the lovely Charming victorian sitting room. In the morning Ronnie made us the most fabulous breakfast. We would most definitely come back here again and would recommend to others. Thank you to Ronnie & Ahmed for a wonderful enjoyable stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay-Ronnie was a wonderful host and we were so happy to meet him and spend time in his beautiful B&B! Delicious breakfast and we so appreciated Ronnie’s flexibility as our plans evolved.

Couldn't fault Oakhurst

Ein tolles B&B mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Ronnie, unser Gastgeber, war äußerst freundlich. Sein Frühstück war eines der besten, welches wir bislang auf unseren Irlandreisen hatten. Vorweg gab es immer einen frischen Smoothie. Am Vorabend wurde abgestimmt, was wir frühstücken möchten. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Bad, es war angenehm groß und sauber. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. In 10 Minuten ist der Bahnhof zu Fuß erreichbar, (wir sind nach Cork gefahren) und in das Stadtzentrum läuft man ein wenig länger. Wir werden hier sicherlich wieder übernachten.

This was a B&B where you felt like an invited guest rather than one who’d paid. Oakhurst is beautifully decorated and we got to enjoy the delicious breakfast Ronnie cooked each morning in the lovely conservatory overlooking the water. Ronnie was exceptionally hospitable and gave us some great tips about what to see and do in the area. For us, getting a bit of doggy time with George and Teddy was also a bonus. Faultless, really.

Dieses Anwesen sieht nicht nur von außen grandios aus. Es ist auch mit viel Stiel, Geschmack und sinn für Kleinigkeiten eingerichtet. Es war schön dort zu Gast waren. Super nette und sympathische Besitzer.

Wir wurden sehr nett von Ronny empfangen und auch wir haben einen Whisky zur Begrüßung bekommen. Tolle Lage, 15 Minuten zu Fuß in den Ort. Sehr liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück mit frischem Obst. Klare Empfehlung!!!

The host Ronnie was friendly, generous and a great cook. He made us a delicious whiskey and gingerale in the evening and a huge full Irish breakfast.

Ahmad and Ronnie! They were exceptional hosts, eager to attend to our needs. They went above and beyond our expectations by providing a ride to and from the local restaurant where we had dinner. We enjoyed our conversations with them, and their absolutely beautiful home! Lastly, we got our dog fix with their playful Goldendoodles George and Teddy! 😀

Zudem ist es gut gelegen und Cobh auch zu Fuss in 15 Minuten gut erreichbar. Das Frühstück war fantastisch und wurde liebevoll zubereitet. Die beiden Hunde George und Teddy haben wir direkt ins Herz geschlossen. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Very impressive place and such lovely owners. We could have stayed longer here. The town of Cobh was one of our favourites and Oakhurst Guesthouse raised the bar. Amazing breakfast too.
