Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The location was far better than I thought located in a mini hanok village with a market style street just behind and close across to the metro and bus. The inside is also very nice and clean. I was expecting it to be worse for the price I paid. My room was tiny, but that’s what I selected. They are very accommodating for stuff like late arrivals and luggage storage.
Honestly, nothing comes to mind. There is quite a few stairs to get to your room and no elevator which may be an issue for some.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026The location was great, closer than I expected to many parts of Seoul that I wanted to see. Wonderful neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and art shops. Great view from the rooftop too (which is accessible for all guests). The common area allows for meeting the other guests and having interesting conversations. The place had all the facilities I needed and more, and common areas were cleaned every day by the - very friendly! - staff/owners. When I got into a bit of a fight with my door lock, I got help immediately even though it was almost midnight. Additionally: it is unexpectedly quiet at night! Usually I could only hear crickets outside. 장소가 정말 좋아요. 보고 싶은 장소들까지 가까웠어요. 지붕 위에서 보는 전망도 예뻐요. 거실에서 다른 사람들과 이야기할 수 있어요. 게스트하우스가 깨끗하고 주인께서 아주 착하세요. 문제가 있으면 언제든지 도와주셨어요. 그리고 밤에는 정말 조용해요!
It was sometimes slightly inconvenient that our assigned toilet was in the same room as the most-used shower, and you can't see whether someone is inside. It was never a big problem though. 변기와 샤워기는 같은 방에 있어서 가끔 불편했어요. 근대 다른 샤워기도 있어서 문제가 별로 없었어요.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026The guesthouse is located right in Insa-dong, surrounded by a lot of shops, restaurants and cafes. I didn’t end up eating in the area but it was very cute to walk around. The guesthouse itself is so cozy, the room was small but had absolutely everything I needed, especially great if you’re solo traveling like I was. The owner was super friendly and took his time to explain everything during check in and the rooftop is super nice to sit on at night. Also the fact that you can do laundry is a definite plus!

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026I'm a single, retired, female traveler. I felt very safe here. Lovely guesthouse with well equipped kitchen, working space, rooftop (for Morning yoga), clothes washer and dryer (plus laundry soaps and clotheslines for delicates) -- and in a quiet area full of restaurants and things to do. You are within walking distance to so many sites to see. I will use this stay again!
Need access to larger bath towels. The towels stocked for use on the floor are more hand size towels. A lamp next to the bed would be nice. The only lighting is overhead lighting.

洗面所にコンセントがないのでドライヤーが使えなかった。 共有スペースや自室で使おうかと思ったけど、壁が薄くて音が響くため他の部屋に迷惑なので自粛した。 夏だからよかったけど、冬は困ると思った。

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026Great homestay it felt comfortable coming back after a long day to be able to relax in the living room. Fridge and basic cooking facilities provided. Upstairs they had washing machine and dryer available. I wish we could use it any time of the day. We can only use it after 4pm, at which time we were always out. The staff were friendly and answered all questions. It's located in the middle of the Insadong shopping street so lots of people around. While aimed at tourists, you can conveniently walk outside the guesthouse and grab food.
We were on the 4th floor. I didn't enjoy carrying my bags and myself up 4 flights of stairs. Keep in mind when booking for elderly or people with mobility issues. There is a toilet bath on each floor. At night it was inconvenient to walk all the way to the toilet. We were unfortunate with messy guests. The waste bin where used toilet paper was put was very unhygienic. There must be a different way around it. I don't want to be dealing with all other guests fecal bacteria every time I use the toilet. It would be great if larger towels were provided especially for ladies with long hair.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026まずロケーションは最高です。駅からも歩いてすぐで繁華街の中にあるので不自由しません。宿のセキュリティも十分。シャワールーム、キッチンも清潔で、タオル、ドライヤー、冷蔵庫、ウォーターサーバーも利用可能で不自由なことはありません。 オーナーは親切です。チェックインの日も午前11時にチェックインさせてくれました。ちょっとわかりづらいのが、チェックインは宿の入り口の隣にあるお土産やさんです。
エレベーターはありません。寝室はすごく狭いです。大きめのスーツケースだとたぶん寝室では広げられないと思います。

The neighborhood was very quiet, and had no traffic. The place was very clean, and the communal spaces/bathrooms were cleaned every day. Overall it was the best place to stay, 10/10 recommended.

Reviewed May 29, 2026The guesthouse is great. Location is amazing and the actual house was clean and orderly. Plus free laundry. There is a store downstairs and a lady that works with Mr Cho was very kind and eager to help you. They store your luggage if you arrive early or leave late.
So my main complaint was the mosquitoes, otherwise I’d have given it a 10. But also Mr. Cho was very nice and polite but not super communicative. While in Seoul this is the only hostel that didn’t reply to me via the app, in Korean or English, I received no check-in or check-out instructions, no house rules other than verbal notes from Mr. Cho. This was a little hard because I was told I needed to leave promptly at 11 but no one was there to do the checkout.

L'utilisation des machines et du séchoir est compris dans le prix avec la lessive liquide et l'assouplissant offerts. Très pratique pour un séjour à Séoul. Bouilloire à disposition dans la cuisine. Les proprio sont très sympathiques et ont été très aidant lorsque nous leur avons demandé des conseils sur le quartier.
Un des deux matelas était très dur, mais c'est peut-être une question de goût.

Reviewed Apr 9, 2026This was the best location in Seoul, right in the heart of Insadong. We walked everywhere we wanted to go the first day there and the subway stop is nearby.
The location! It was also small clean rooms and shared bathrooms but we never saw anyone else staying there. It was quiet and a perfect place if you don’t mind sharing a bathroom. We would definitely stay there again because of the prime location. Note that there are stairs and that taxis can’t drive right up to it so you have a short walk with your bags.

稍微可惜的是 共用衛浴設備有些忽冷忽熱的狀況 但並不嚴重 只需稍加注意 然後共用衛浴雖然有兩間 但廁所部分只有一間 以四～五人共用稍嫌不足 （以上僅是無傷大雅的部分 並不是非常嚴重的缺點）

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The location was amazing! Perfect for my first time to Korea. There's so many great food shops right next door and tons of shopping up and down the street. It was very easy to check in and out thanks to the electronic locks.
The twin beds were very firm. Also, it gets a bit tiring to go up and down the stairs so many times, since it's a split level alternating bathrooms and floors with rooms.

La habitación es minúscula. Si van dos personas y llevan maletas, complicado que quepan. Las camas muy duras y ruidosas con cada movimiento. No están insonorizadas las habitaciones, así que si te tocan malos vecinos como a mí, escucharás todo el ruido que hacen.

Just a few steps away, there is a street with many shops, and there are several cafés nearby. It’s also very close to places like Changgyeonggung Palace and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and about a 20-minute walk from a shopping mall
The room was a little small, and the bed could be more comfortable, but it didn’t significantly affect our stay.

Really, the only thing I would add is possibly having universal charging blocks so all foreigners are able to charge their devices. Other than that, nothing that NEEDS to be added.

Reviewed Nov 7, 2025Établissement idéalement placé dans un quartier et une rue animé, proche des palais et autres Hanoks le tout à pieds. Le personnel travail pendant mon absence donc je ne les ai jamais croisé néanmoins le patron lui est souvent dans sa boutique au RDC et m'a permis de retrouver mon sac oublié dans un taxi (la plupart des Coréen sont aussi nul que moi en anglais) sans lui je serai encore en train de chercher le poste de police en banlieue où le taxi l'a déposé. Grand merci ! La cambre est petite mais fonctionnelle, les fenêtres sont fines et laisse filtrer les bruits de la rue mais se n'est pas grave à partir de 22h les restaurants se vide et le quartier retrouve son calme. Le WIFI gratuit marche nickel, les toilettes et la douche sur le palier sont impeccables. la salle commune est bien équipée pour manger. Petit bémol le son des systemes de fermeture des portes est particulièrement bruyant à l'ouverture et fermeture (surtout quand on a une envie d'uriner à 03h du matin, la plupart des occupants ne ferment pas leurs portes quant ils font un aller retour au toilettes pour que ça ne sonne qu'une seule fois). Bref excellent rapport qualité prix.

Reviewed Nov 4, 2025The hostel is situated near the palaces, bukchon hanok village and 2 metro stations. The lady who greeted me and helped me check in was very kind, she showed me around the hostel and helped me carry my luggage upstairs. The hostel is very clean and, from what I saw, the common spaces and bathrooms get cleaned everyday. The facility provides good wifi, fresh towels as well as water (both cold and hot) in the kitchen area.

Reviewed Oct 31, 2025Супер гостевой дом. Отличное расположение - в центре Инсадона, пять минут до метро Ангук и остановок автобусов. Вид из общей зоны на крышы Инсадона и гору. В целом тихо, в девять закрывается большинство заведений вокруг. Комната маленькая, но вернуться на ночь достаточно. Даже помещается большой чемодан в раскрытом виде. Есть стойка с вешалками для одежды, большое зеркало, кондиционер, телевизор. Окна продуваются, но есть тёплая стеганая штора, которая закрывает от сквозняков. Классное тяжёлое одеяло, под которым уютно спать, и твёрдый матрас, отлично для усталой спины после прогулок. Очень тёплые полы. Есть необходимые расходники - салфетки, кухонные принадлежности, шампунь, гель для душа, зубная паста (зубных щёток нет), фены, женские гигиенические принадлежности для экстренных случаев. Есть тапочки для выхода на лестницу в туалеты. Есть полотенца, обновляются каждый день.
Душевые комнаты между этажами - на лестнице холодно. Есть душевая кабина в прихожей, тогда теплее, но не очень гигиенично. Нет отдельных тапочек для чистой зоны, чтобы не ходить босиком после душа. Не сразу разобралась, как настроить температуру воды в душе. Не минус, а предупреждение для тех, кто будет читать отзыв, лифта нет.
