Bennie the cat was so cute peering in through the window and there was a good selection of books to read, a relaxing and calm environment.

There is nothing not to like unless you haven’t paid attention and noticed the property is up a hill out of town. Driveway is a touch steep but sealed and perfectly fine.

The rooms have lovely furniture and details, and the bed is very cosy. It's a wonderful place to stay, with lovely artisan bread on arrival and a small selection of fruit. It had a yoga room. how good is that?!

The views were to die for and the bed was super comfy! The decor was amazing, with very thoughtful ideas. It is a short drive to the township. Just a perfect weekend away.

It was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, and cosy sitting area. Lovely colourful garden. Spectacular views. Quiet and restful. We appreciated the bread, eggs, jams and chocolate. If you can, stay more than one day!

Reviewed Oct 10, 2025What was NOT to like!! Don't know if the view outweighed the decor and vibe or the other way around! The view of Raglan and the surrounding hills/mountains was unbelievable. The place itself was utterable adorable, full of art and whimsy and magic, thoughtfully appointed. We were left with fresh eggs, fresh bread, jam, butter. Coffee was perfectly ground for use in a French press, milk and sugar provided.

It is vibrant and welcoming, relaxing and calming and has every possible thing needed for a great holiday. Lovely breakfast items are also supplied and the calming/yoga space is perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

The colourful Frida Kahol-inspired decor is fabulous, with every little detail adding to the experience. (No photos could ever do it justice really, you need to see it for yourself). There's even a meditation room so that you can properly unwind. The bed is super comfy and the welcome treats of artisan bread, jams, eggs, chocolate and milk were so thoughtful. Not to mention the location, on top of a hill looking towards the Raglan bay - just breathtaking. Raglan itself is only a 6 minute drive away. Would highly recommend.

The host has put her heart and soul into the place, and the result was fantastic. You have to stay to appreciate. Views from the verandah spectacular. Unfortunately only stayed a night but needed to be there much longer. Next time. Loved it, loved it ‼️❤️

Reviewed Dec 26, 2024Everything. The view is unsurpassed. 180 degree view of a mountain, meadows, river and sea, hard to beat. The decor is absolutely stunning with very interesting artwork. Loved the yoga nook a, beautiful spot to read and relax. Top quality furnishings and some delicious treats in the fridge for us to enjoy. Have not felt so relaxed and at peace for a long time.

From the pure visual delight both inside and out, to the attention to detail, the comfy bed, the well equipped kitchen, the locally supplied breakfast, the amazing view, the luxurious decor, the extra touches like colouring books and meditation nook, the friendly communication. Fridas was the total relaxation we were looking for.
