A beautiful apartment in a great location, close to the city centre. The hosts were very kind and gave us a warm welcome. The studio had everything we needed and was very well equipped. The bed was comfortable, the large windows were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you for everything. We would be happy to stay here again.

The apartment is spacious, bright, clean, and very comfortable. It has a modern kitchen, with pots and pans and dishes. But curiously, no cutlery no knives, no spatulas. I didn’t use the kitchen. There’s a nice coffee maker, but no instructions about how to use it.

There is no air-conditioning. When I got there, it was 30°C outside, and the apartment was hot. There was a powerful fan, but even with the windows wide open it never cooled down. Even when the temperature outside dropped it took a long time for the temperature in the apartment to cool down.

Alles was schoon, efficiënt ingedeeld en knus opgesteld; heel fijne omgeving om in te verblijven, waar je je gemakkelijk thuis voelt. De locatie is ook dichtbij het centrum gelegen; alles is op loopafstand te doen.

De vaatwasser en oven hadden een beetje een ‘gebruiksaanwijzing’ en waren daarom niet zo eenvoudig in gebruik.

The apartment is confortable and only a 15 minute walk to city center. The check-in was easy.

The shower being across the public hall for the other apartment is odd. The steps up are VERY steep.

Lovely studio in a great location. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the owners were friendly and attentive. We had a great weekend visiting my daughter who is studying in Leiden, and it was a perfect base

Light & airy, big windows! Good location, very nice fittings - good kitchen

The 2 single beds, pushed together, were of different heights, not comfortable. Bedding wasn't great either. Unfortunately you could hear every sound from the apartment above & when other guests came & went. The stairs are also extremely steep & narrow, great care is required!

Beautiful apartment in the best location. Everything you needed. Little portable electric hob meant cooking was possible, along with microwave and fridge. The hosts were excellent, even accommodating an early check which we were very grateful for. 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Some people may struggle with the steep stairs, but I think they are quite usual in the Netherlands and were fine for us with 2 young children. Apartment is on the top floor.

A well-appointed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable apartment in a super quiet neighbourhood.

I found the bathroom a bit too cold. A towel heater would have been nice.

Het was een ideale locatie en het huisje ziet er super leuk uit!

Het enige dat miste was wc papier. Verder was alles super goed geregeld

Prachtig ingerichte studio, van alle gemakken voorzien, heerlijk geslapen en fijne ontvangst door Hans. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad, locatie is helemaal top, je loopt zo de stad in.

Ik raad aan om het bijzetbed te gebruiken voor kinderen tot maximaal 10 jaar. Was niet zo comfortabel.

het tweepersoonsbed zakte wel erg door en was laag

accueil très chaleureux et arrangeant. Appartement très confortable, bien situé. Les espaces sont grands avec tout le confort. On s'y sent comme chez soi et dans un petit cocon.

La kitchenette n'est pas faite pour cuisiner. Il y a simplement un micro-onde et un évier. C'est suffisant pour un très court séjour mais léger pour une semaine.

Comfortabel appartement aan de rand van de binnenstad in een mooie buurt. Niet geschikt voor mindervaliden vanwege een zeer steile trap. Het appartement is zeer compleet ingericht en erg ruim. Een aanrader!

Wij vonden dat de muren en de trappen dringend om een opknapbeurt verlegen zitten; erg veel beschadigingen en veel vlekken op de muren. Doet wel wat afbreuk aan het mooie appartement.

Schoon comfortabel uitgebreide faciliteiten rustig perfecte ligging en zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Heerlijk verblijf!

Parkeerservice en host makkelijk bereikbaar

The apartment was very spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location was great for walking around Leiden.

The shower area being separate from the main part of the apartment was strange, but not a big deal. Parking on the street was hard to find at times.

Veldhorst Apartments (in unserem Fall die Ferienwohnung "Hendrikus") sind ordentlich, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr zuvorkommend und ist auf alle Wünsche und Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Die historische Altstadt und auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in fußläufiger Entfernung. Man befindet sich nah am quirligen und lebendigen Innenstadtleben, aber auch gerade soweit entfernt, dass nachts kein störender Lärm von den Straßen ins Zimmer dringt. (Wir waren zufällig während der Willkommenswoche/Partywoche für die neuen Studierenden in Leiden ;)

Obwohl es in der Straße Parkplätze direkt vorm Haus gibt, so empfiehlt sich eine Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, da das Parken mit ca. 20 Euro/Tag sehr teuer ist. Um die Bezahlung via Park-App hat sich ebenfalls unsere Gastgeberin gekümmert. Da es sich um ein typisches niederländisches Reihenhaus handelt, gibt es zwei bauliche Mankos: die Treppe nach oben ist sehr steil (für ältere Menschen und Kleinkinder nicht ungefährlich) und das Badzimmer befindet sich nicht direkt an der Wohnung (man muss dazu das Treppenhaus queren).

Perfect location, easy to park and very clean rooms

Tolle Lage in schönem Viertel. Zentrumsnah. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Apartment ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Das eigene Bad lag nicht innerhalb des Appartments, sondern ging separat vom öffentlichen Flur ab. Durch den Altbau war es etwas hellhörig.

Absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was spotless, beautifully furnished, and in a perfect location—peaceful yet close to everything. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and every detail was thought of. Highly recommend!

Muy bonito. Igual que en la fotos. Decorado con mucho gusto y muy tranquilo.

Nos gustó todo mucho, simplemente advertir de la escalera estrecha y empinada. Yo lo sabíamos de todas formas de comentarios anteriores. Nosotros no tuvimos ningún problema, pero es cierto que quizás para huéspedes con mucho equipaje es un poco incómoda. Pero nada más.

Location was ideal, a quiet area only about 10 minutes walk to the centre. The apartment was immaculate, very homely and spacious enough for a family of four- the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The lock on the toilet door didn't work well- just a caution for elderly or very young children, the stairs were steep, and lead straight from the landing near the bathroom- however the hosts had a small safety gate that could be put over the gap, although this wasn't that high. Pillows sunk a bit, slightly firmer preferable.

The property is spacious and clean. It is well located and the hosts are attentive. There is a nice garden area and bikes can be stored here.

It was challenging to find a parking space close to the property, and there were a lot of stairs to carry the cases up, but once in the apartment it was lovely.

Fantastic location just 10 mins walk from the center but lots to do immediately around the apartment as well. Hosts were fantastic, lovely people and very welcoming.

Quietly located a stones throw from the botanic garden and canals. Nice little private courtyard garden well suited to a sunny breakfast. 15 minute walk into Leiden centre with many attractive route options. Warm welcome from the owner on arrival.

We didn’t not like them, but It’s a steep set of stairs up if you are in any way infirm or unsteady. But if you’re careful it’s fine.

Very nice place in an historical building very close to the center and in a lovely neighbourhood. The apartment was very well furnished. Very nice hosts.

location suited me as close to Rappenburg and the university. It does lack cafes etc for breakfast, as many were not open early.

Location was great, quiet but within walking distance of the centre. The apartments were very well appointed, with a touch of luxury in the way they have been decorated and furnished. Both the studio and 2 bedroomed apartment were spacious with plenty of utensils.

The steps to both apartments were steep and quite narrow.

The owner seemed friendly and the property overall was nice.

The towels were not enough for the duration of the stay, the cot was not suitable for our two year old and she could not sleep in the bed because it was two double beds joined together and the surface was not flat for her to sleep. The rugs in the bathroom were a bit off, the shower did not have an anti slip map and as a result the child fell and hit her head rather strongly and we also fell a couple of times. The heating at 20 degrees was not enough and we wanted more covers/blankets. We believe that if we had asked the property owner they would have given them to us so it’s our responsibility not theirs. The owner seemed very kind and helpful.

So comfortable for a family to have 2 bedrooms and the living room all separate. It was fantastic.

No complaints at all.
