Simply a room ( small) with shared toilet . Dinning room was cluttered with clothing everywhere . No remote for TV. The food waste smelt rather badly , not sure how well the property was serviced. Has the potential to be much better with a little effort.

It’s clean and very sufficient for an overnight stay. Street parking has plenty of space, feels safe, has heater in the room, room is airy with window opened. Bathroom is large and clean. Despite room being small, plenty of storage shelf to organise your items

One shared bathroom to 3-4 rooms. Is not a problem if not using same time as other guests. May be an issue if need to use at the same time.

Near to the airport, easy to commute to the Christchurch city centre

Comfortable and ckean. Close to airport and train

Hotel I’m not much of a scathing review artist, but this stay was the worst of our trip. This accommodation should not have been listed where it was. Rather than AirBNB, we found this listing on booking.com, making us think it was a hotel or motel. Even with the shared bathroom and kitchen (if you can call it that) space, it still wouldn’t qualify as hostel/hotel lodging. The “free parking” is merely street parking. The kitchen is unavailable for use (except water). There are passive aggressive sticky notes throughout the house that make it clear guests aren’t welcome, just taking up space in someone’s house. I love a good AirBNB, but first of all, I want to feel like I’m not burdening my host with my existence, and secondly, I want to know that I’m getting an AirBNB when I’m getting one. To the hosts - Get off of booking.com and stick to AirBNB only. If guests are not going to be able to use the kitchen, consider providing tea supplies in their room, or anything to make it more homey or welcoming. Notes like “please take your towels back to your own room,” on the heated towel rack, the very clear list of things NOT to do instead of being in any way welcoming, along with the ranking system of stars on the fridge (“anything less than 4.6 is considered a failure”) pushes a very clear agenda. But to get five stars, lass, you need to create even a small sense of hospitality. On a positive, the house was clean and tidy. The price point was good. The bed was fine. For other notes of interest, the walls are thin enough to clearly hear conversations, the bed and room is small, but the place was comfortable enough to lay our heads at the end of the day. I did not feel like we could even whisper in the room, yet alone watch something on our phones. There is some kind of incense or scent in the room that is pleasant, but quite overpowering by morning. In summary — according to the very clear chart on the wall, “there were major problems with my stay.”

Was a small room with owner of the house roaming around the house. The pictures were deceptive. It was quite uncomfortable, we didn’t end up staying the night

Very homely. House is kept neat and tidy. Good information all around to make it easy to navigate and respect the owners space. Recommend for solo travellers. Simple room with the basics… it is a bit further into the city centre so Ubers are required if too late. There is a bus route and a pleasant 1.5 hour walk into the cbd through Hagley park

The location was great and nice big bed. Bathroom was excellent.

Only negative was that we couldn't cook.

Close quarters with other rooms, making it uncomfortable to hear snore noises.

Lovely house, super comfortable bed, super soft sheets, excellent shower, friendly owner.

Better signage inside, went looking for cups and plates but felt a bit weird going through drawers, then found pantry with a sign on it. Only a little thing but could have been better, in no way takes away great location and house.

The house was clean, with a big kitchen and it was convenient for a night landing late at the airport.

Very soft bed and only one shared bathroom (including toilets) meaning that it all depends on who else is staying in the other rooms...

Location is good, can take bus 8 from airport, also got convenience stores nearby. Very quiet at night, and it has everything you need!

The house was easy to find with clear directions given by the host. The home was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable with appropriate bedding for the time of year and more bedding available. The bathroom was really beautifully appointed and very clean.

My room was cold on arrival with the window opening. Perhaps closing windows before dark, just so the room doesn't take too long to heat on arrival.

Nice room, really confortable and everything was cleaned. Host really nice and welcoming.

Wonderful 3 night stay at Bryndwr Accommodation, met all my expectations. Comfortable Bed & Pillows. Handy to the Christchurch Airport and Airport Bus Service. Would stay again as it was Private, Quiet and Good Value. Complements to Su the host for a pleasant stay.
