Reviewed May 7, 2026The welcome reception was absolutely amazing, everything we would’ve wanted to know was covered by the friendly lady. Although we didn’t use it, it was great that there was a selection of drinks and snacks available if we needed. The rooms were nice, comfortable. The guest house also accommodated us with a different check in time and everything was perfectly ready for us when we arrived - thank you for that! I’ll definitely recommend Schoongezicht!!!

Reviewed May 6, 2026Honestly, this was one of the best places I've stayed in for a while. It was clean, spacious and so beautiful. The staff was incredibly kind and the host constantly checked in to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. I highly recommend staying here.

I didn’t like that the room I had did not have a small door to separate the room and bathroom. When you have a partner privacy can be a problem.

The room size, design style and most importantly the black out curtains. The breakfast was homey and it warmed our hearts. Definitely coming back to this guesthouse.

I can truly only say that the one “not-so-nice” thing was that my car scraped underneath when driving in and out of the gate. Otherwise, everything was really good.

Extremely accommodating family and guest house, air conditioned room with tv, a delicious South African meal on request was prepared with love for dinner and a pool on the property. Reviewed Mar 3, 2025What a find. Everything about this well located guest house is excellent. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The host who checked me in was charming. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked and there was plenty of options from the buffet table. There is a sparkling pool to cool off in and the gardens are picture perfect. The communication from the owner was prompt, giving direction before arrival, to dealing with all my requirements. If only everyone run there business like this it would be a pleasure to travel. I will definitely be using this guest house on all future visits to Cape Town. Can highly recommend.
