Comfortable and clean

Little bit expensive

Gorgeous property with a warm and welcoming staff. Our room was splendid, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were only the press of a button away, and always ready to help. The location was also wonderful, only a kilometre or two away from the town centre. The food provided at the property was the highlight. The Methi Dal, Methi Chicken, Idli, and other dishes that we had were cooked to absolute perfection. Definitely the highlight of our trip.

No complaints, can't wait to come back.

Location and food.

Excellent folks and food is so tasty

Peaceful place, tasty home made food and very accommodating with lunch and dinner requests. Rooms and restroom were clean and spacious and gave a very homely feel. Value for money place in Coonoor. Wifi speed was good.

Location is bit in the interior but if you have a local driver it should not be a problem as the owner could guide the driver on exact location over a call. The place as such is quite close to all sightseeing points and main market area in Coonoor.

Stayed at Zimr-Coonoor on 30.04.2025 & 01.05.2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience! Mrs.Cicilia is a wonderful host—warm, attentive, and super helpful. The property was beautiful, very clean, and felt incredibly safe, especially for solo female travelers. The bed and bathroom were spotless, and both dinner and the complimentary breakfast were delicious. She even arranged 3 ladies of us a complimentary bon-fire for the night. Her recommendations for lunch and local souvenir shopping were spot-on. 100% recommend Zimr-Coonoor for a comfortable and welcoming stay!

I liked everything

excellent food made by the host, Cicelia. Her pongal for breakfast and chicken, fish which were prepared on request were just heavenly. Excellent care taken by her and her assistant. We were a family of four with kids. Initially we were hesitant since we felt that it was a homestay, but later we just enjoyed the stay quite a lot. The dog on the property was just so friendly with our kids. Highly recommend this property.

The property was tucked away and had its share of privacy though the neighbouring properties were adjacent. Cecilia, was a very good host. Despite the busy Good Friday weekend and her other engagements, she ensured a hot, freshly cooked dinner as well as a steaming hot breakfast the next morning. The room was well equipped for the cold Coonoor weather. She also saw us through an unpredictable emergency. The property is also well suited for those travelling with pets, offering enough room for them to roam around safely.

Exceptional service by the staff. The best part was the food, the traditional taste of which outperforms most of the 5 star hotels. The landlady herself cooks the food to ensure this.

Everything!!...no seriously, if you are in Coonoor this is the place you NEED to stay at!! right from the location to the staff, the food and last but not the least the person who runs the place, Cecelia who is an incredible host and even better human being ☺️

Cecilia could have not been more helpful - she cooked us a beautiful breakfast and evening meal - organised our bus ticket and got us to the bus station.

The only thing it was hard to find but Cecilia says they are waiting on a sign. It would be also helpful to tell guests the directions to give to the drivers.

Wake to birdsong. Zimr is located in a garden setting with district views. Comfortable, large and clean rooms. The host and her staff were superb. Breakfasts delicious. Nothing was too much trouble in arranging transport to explore the area and even assist in helping with our planning our onward journey
