Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Large double volume lounge/diner with well equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom downstairs with bathroom and change room en-suite. Two large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms upstairs and a pool table overlooking the lounge below. Everything clean and well furnished. The host Marlene went to buy us wood and fire lighters as the weather was rather cold, so we lit a fire in the evening and the early morning. Wonderful unobstructed view out to sea.
Because we were on the seafront we had street sellers banging on the front glass doors on two occasions trying to sell their wares.

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026This is a very nice house with a great view of the seashore. The beds were quite comfortable, and it was spotlessly clean. It also had the best washing machine that I have used in South Africa.

The house is spacious and well equipped with exceptional views. I will be returning each time to Sonvanger for a relaxed couple of days away. Thank you Marlene.

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025Great location right on the sea! Audrey met us at the gate when we arrived, and the owner, Marlene, also came to check on us shortly after arrival. Marlene and her family were lovely and responded very quickly to help us with a few minor issues that arose.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2024Amazing house, huge , clean, simply spectacular. The view from pretty much every window is fantastic, overlooking the ocean!! It is priceless to sit there, enjoying your coffee and watching the dolphins!! The billiard table is another extra you don't get everywhere. The owner, Marlene, is such a lovely person! Highly recommend!
