I forgot to give my key back, and they arrange to have someone take it at the next town, without having me to pay for anything or going back to the hotel, great gesture.
The bathrooms have a open shower with no glass protection from the toilet so splashign water everywhere is easy.
The Swiming pool wasn't cleaned often and felt rundown, broken tiles (maybe because end of the season).

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The location in the forest directly by the river is stunning. We had an amazing river view. Our suite was spacious and spotless clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The pool was nice and refreshing, great stay overall.

Some guests may not like that building works we’re going on during the stay. However this wasn’t a problem for us as being a landscape gardener myself, we understood that our stay was during the quieter period so work had to get done at some point.

Our stay was extremely disappointing and nowhere near a five-star experience. Despite paying USD 165 per night after discount, we waited 25 minutes for someone to collect our luggage, the Wi-Fi was terrible, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned—we found dirt under the toilet seat, and even after someone came to fix it, a strong glue smell remained for more than 24 hours. Construction and maintenance work started at 8:00 a.m., so we woke up to loud drilling and banging instead of birdsong. At 11:00 p.m., an employee switched off the lights in the billiards area and told us it was closing, while no one was available at reception and the receptionist was found sleeping on the floor. The waiters had no proper uniforms or suitable shoes and appeared dressed for a party rather than working at a five-star hotel. There was no fridge in the room, the food was poor, and breakfast consisted of little more than fruit, tea, coffee, and an omelette. Overall, this hotel does not deserve its five-star rating—in our experience, even one star would be generous.

Aufgrund von einer Hotelerweiterung war unser Zimmerausblick nicht so schön. Da wir nur eine Nacht dort waren und auch kaum am Zimmer, hat uns das nicht beeinträchtigt.
Das Bad ist in Ordnung. Wenn man duscht ist allerdings das halbe Bad nass.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026The location of the resort was great, right by the river and the staff even had kayaks out for us to use. The resort looks nice, giving a relaxing vibe with a yoga setup but in the evening they would put on loud pop music which took away the tranquil feel of the place and it seemed to clash with the yoga setup. The food was ok but they didn't have enough for all the guests. Felt it was a bit over priced for what they offered.

מקום מאד מאד יפה ומיוחד, מעוצב מודרני בטוב טעם. בריכה נעימה ומחוממת.
הבעלים מקסים ומאד עוזר, היו קצת תקלות פה ושם אבל כל דבר טופל וסודר באופן כמעט מיידי. אוכל מצוין, מומלץ לסגור חצי פנסיון כי המקום קצת מרוחק. הצוות מקסים ומאד עוזר.
הוייפיי היה בעייתי אבל הצוות ממש ניסה לעזור.
היתה לנו בעיה של הצפה של מים במקלחת אבל הצוות סידר.

There were ants in the bathroom, no blankets in the the room, twin beds for the kids were too short, breakfast was disappointing and the dining room wasn’t air conditioned while temperature outside is 30c.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Een prachtige locatie aan de rivier. Het hotel heeft een mooi restaurant, mooi zwembad. Je kan er echt een dagje relaxen. Het hotel is heel netjes en de ‘housekeeper’ ziet alles en wil het je naar je zin maken.
Er zijn bouwwerken bezig aan het hotel. Je zit echt tussen 2 werven met HEEL veel bouwvakkers en HEEL veel lawaai vooral aan het zwembad. Dit van in de vroege uurtjes tot in de late avond, 7 op 7. De barmannen lopen vooral rond en alles duurt HEEL lang.

Mooie en propere kamer, comfortabel bed en hoofdkussen, goede airco, groot zwembad, goede ligging als je rafting/canyoning wil doen, mooie natuurlijke omgeving aan de rivier, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en avondeten
Alles was goed. Hou er rekening mee dat het hotel afgelegen is. Voor ons is dit echter een pluspunt. Tijdens de dag waren werken in het hotel, maar geluid was ok.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Situated nicely on the river with great views from room and the pool area. Staff was very kind and eager to help and made the stay pleasant. Restaurant was also delicious. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in the area.
The only negative, which is temporary, was there’s some construction happening to add onto the hotel. The staff was very apologetic of it.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Het uitzicht was prachtig bij de rivier. Bedden waren prima.
Het hotel is slecht bereikbaar. De beschrijving dat je met een bootje naar de overkant gaat hebben wij niet ervaren. De weg naar het hotel toe is slecht.
Bij aankomst bleek dat ze flink aan bouwen zijn, dit staat nergens vermeld. Ze zijn aan de zijkant van het zwembad aan het verbouwen, terwijl je bij jet zwembad ligt hoor je de verbouwing werkzaamheden. De kamer is prima, alleen de badkamer is vreselijk verouderd.
Het eten in de avond viel tegen, weinig smaak. We hadden vroeg ontbijt en de warme gerechten waren koud, ze werden niet warm gehouden. De heer aan de receptie is niet de meest vriendelijke heer.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026De kamer was super mooi en het zwembad was prachtig met mooi uitzicht.
Immens veel lawaai door de werken, manager zei dat ze stoppen als we het vroegen. Helaas merken ze dit zelf niet, als alle gasten aan het zwembad liggen en ze toch volop boren en lawaai maken in de bouwwerf. Aan het zwembad zat je te midden in een bouwwerf en je voelt je aangekeken door de werkmannen, voelt niet zo fijn. Eerlijkheidshalve heb ik dit ook gemeld en terecht gevraagd voor een compensatie, die werd wel gegeven.
Het duurt heel lang tegen dat je maaltijden krijgt in restaurant.
Er staat nooit iemand aan receptie
Ontbijt niet westers , we hadden er meer van verwacht, ook verwachten we vers brood, met lekkere confituur.
Geen uitleg bij checkin
Geen of weinig wifi
Geen cocktails of bier/wijn, je mag het wel meebrengen, maar dit voelt raar!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Dieses Hotel ist absolut nicht das was es vorgibt. Es soll ein 5 Sterne Ressort sein, dabei sind etwa 5 Sterne zu viel. Aktuell ist es eine Baustelle, der Pool ist dreckig und wird nicht geputzt, kein Safe im gebuchten Zimmer und das Bett, welches extra gross und über 2 Meter lang sein soll, laut Beschreibung ist maximal 190cm gross.
Am Vorabend erhielten wir die Info, dass wir zum Carparkplatz gehen sollen. Von dort werden wir mit dem hoteleigenen Boot zum Hotel gefahren. Dort angekommen war niemand vor Ort. Als wir angerufen haben meinten sie, dass wir zum Hotel fahren sollen. Der Service gibt es aktuell nicht.
Auch gibt es aktuell kein Yogabereich. Überall wird gearbeitet und es herrscht viel Baulärm vom hämmern etc.
Angeblich gab es Überschwemmungen durch Hochwasser des angrenzenden Flusses. Dafür habe ich ja Verständnis aber dies muss zwingend kommuniziert werden. Definitiv keine 5 Sterne, vielleicht 1 bis 2 Sterne.
Obwohl der Hotelmanager und ein weiterer Angestellten an der Rezeption waren und uns gesehen haben wurde wir nicht begrüsst. Eigentlich ist es mir egal, aber in jedem anderen Hotel wurden wir freundlich empfangen und unser Gepäck wurde direkt vom Tuktuk abgeholt. Hier mussten wir selber ausladen und der Hotelmanager würdigte uns keines Blickes.
Leider wie so immer müsse die Angestellten dafür büssen. Der Houskeepeer war sehr verständnisvoll u d hilfsbereit. Er hat vieles gut gemacht und versuchte zu vermitteln. Ihm gebührt ein grosses Lob.
Das Essen war soweit in Ordnung. Jedoch gab es vom gesamten Angebot auch nicht alles. Genau so wenig gab es beispielsweise Cola Zero. Kein Muss aber in einem angeblichen 5 Sterne Ressort nicht akzeptabel.
Wir haben in mehreren 5 Sterne Hotel auf unserer Sei Lanka Reise übernachtet und da waren definitiv andere Standards. Also bitte passt die Sternebewertung an und informiert ü er den aktuellen Zustand, die Bauarbeiten etc.
Nach unserer Reklamation wurde uns ein Zimmerupgrade angeboten, das wir angenommen haben. Das war einiges besser und auch das Bett war grösser. Der Safe, der zum Zimmer gehörte, musste jedoch erst gebracht werden. Auch im Zimmer davor war kein Safe, trotz Zimmerbeschreibung, vorhanden.

Beneden aan de rivier staat een springtoren om in de rivier te springen
Bij aankomst pure chaos. 2 norse mannen checkten ons in maar geheel onvriendelijk. Geen uitleg over diner. Ontbijt of zwembad.
Naast het mooie zwembad ligt links en rechts een bouwwerf. Mannen zijn de hele dag aan het werk met luide machines en gehamer. Tot na 20u! Hun ogen waren ook meer gericht op de badgasten dan hun werk.
Onze kamer had zicht op de rivier en een balkon, maar helaas keken we enkel op een gebouw in aanbouw. Het balkon was onbruikbaar door de werkmannen die 2m verder aan het werk waren.
Geen antwoord op onze vragen, geen communicatie, geen oplossing! Ook bij het uitchecken sloeg men geen mea culpa.
Men kon minstens vooraf mededelen dat er tot 2027 werken zouden zijn.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026The staff were excellent and very welcoming, not to mention extremely friendly as well. The room was amazing, with an unforgettable and beautiful view from the balcony. All of the activities were nearby and very worth it.
The manager and the staff went out of their way to make it very nice experience for us and they succeeded.
The only thing that wasn’t as expected was the Wi-Fi, which was not in very good condition. However, they mention that they are installing a new system, which would be much better.
If you’re staying in this area, I highly recommend to stay in this hotel. Also check with them if there is still construction going on as they were renewing parts of the hotel.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Unieke plek aan de rivier, prachtig uitIcht, behulpzaam personeel. Super lief dat er cake met kaarsjes werden geregeld toen ze erachter kwamen dat we een jarige in ons midden hadden!
Het was een lastige reis om er te komen omdat we niet konden overvaren ivm het weer. We zijn 3 x verkeerd gereden er staat dan niet goed aangegeven met een bord welke weg je in moet voor het hotel.
Verder was het hotel en de kamer erg prettig en mooi. Het personeel heeft ons ook geholpen met benzine te halen voor de tuk tuk. Aangezien er in de buurt moeilijk te tanken was.
Ze waren wel aan het bouwen bij het hotel maar daar hadden wij weinig last van. We waren helemaal alleen in het hotel. Dit was lekker rustig maar ook een nadeel. Waardoor je bijna geen keuze had uit drankjes alleen uit sprite en water. Verder was de bediening erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Wij hebben via het hotel een raft tocht geboekt en dat was erg leuk.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026River touch property! Well planned out, spacious and well maintained. The rooms were clean, bedding n upholstery was spotless. The bathroom was big and tidy, good water pressure and hot water.
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. They laid out such a beautifully decorated dinner table for my birthday and even gave us a celebratory cake!
They are constructing an outdoor restaurant, so there was a lil noise, but it didn’t bother us much.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026I would have given this a 10/10, but unfortunately I ended up giving a 6/10. They are currently (June 2026) building a super ugly hall adjacent to the hotel. It destroys the beauty of the place. Which, other than the construction, is totally amazing. Right on the river, beautiful swimming pool, and nice employees.
The ugly hall under construction. Food is alright, I expected better frankly. A bit noisy with a boom box during dinner. Construction staff partying until late at night (well, until after I complained at 11pm).

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Very beautiful hotel with gorgeous view and especially loved the gardens, super lush, birds around etc., The gentleman at reception was kind and helped with arranging a white water rafting excursion for us. Nice breakfasts.
Since it's a riverfront location, it's slightly trickier to get to / it's more off the beaten path. But I think worth it for the view! We had dinner one night at the hotel, which was good but not fantastic.

The service was absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. A special thank you to Mr. Dolip Nesapriyan, who welcomed us upon arrival and was responsible for our stay. He ensured our rooms were always clean and well-prepared, guided us whenever needed, and provided exceptional service. He is a humble, down-to-earth, and highly respectful gentleman who made us feel genuinely cared for.
I would also like to thank Mr. Pathum, who served our food and beverages. His respectful attitude, warm smile, and heartfelt hospitality made every meal a pleasant experience. He is a wonderful young man whose service truly comes from the heart.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting again!

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026Mysigt boende med trevlig personal och god mat. Stillsamt hotell som ligger precis vid floden. Enkelt att boka aktiviteter med hotellet. Killen som jobbade i receptionen var mycket proffsig och verkade kunna sitt jobb. Han borde bli befordrad.
Hotellet är nytt och man håller på att bygga en del men det är inget som störde mer än att några saker inte såg klara ut runtomkring huvudbyggnaden.

Этот отель продуман до мелочей, подходит для спокойного отдыха, для медитаций, для занятий йогой. Еда прекрасная.
Также тут очень хорошо останавливаться группой, если вы хотите вместе заниматься практиками йоги. Нам очень понравилось наше пребывание. Безусловно рекомендую у посещению.
Даже не к чему придраться.

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026We wandered the hotel grounds looking for birds, and encountered so many species, from kingfishers to eagles, just on the first day alone! Staff were very friendly and helpful; they arranged transportation for us, helped us track down more of the tropical fruit they served on the menu (the mangoes were amazing), and have connections for a variety of excursions.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and while the food was fresh, all of the curries tasted overwhelmingly of Maggi seasoning! They could do away with that and just let the local spices do the heavy lifting in the flavor department. Also, there was a lot of construction work happening on the hotel grounds, which detracted from the peaceful poolside ambiance.

Reviewed Jan 24, 2026Wir waren für 4 Tage da und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Schönes Hotel direkt am Fluss, super um Vögel zu beobachten. Schöne Zimmer mit Blick auf den Pool.
Das Essen war super lecker und das Personal sehr gastfreundlich, nett und zuvorkommend. Ausflüge sind problemlos über das Hotel zu buchen.

Leider war die Unterkunft für unsere Verhältnisse dreckig und die Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen und daher modrig. Freundlicherweise machte man uns ein frühes Frühstück, da wir frühzeitig abreisen müssen mussten. Leider wurde jedoch die aufgegebene Bestellung nicht eingehalten.

Reviewed Nov 21, 2025Die tolle Lage am Fluss und die Abgeschiedenheit hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen und das Personal war super. Von dort aus kann man schöne Wanderungen machen oder auch Rafting.
Empfehlen würde ich einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Man kann essen und trinken beim Personal zur Kühlung abgeben. Trotzdem finde ich einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer besser 😉😁

It was very peaceful and just what my friends and I needed to rest and recharge with nature.
The access road is currently being repaired so it was a bit rough in some places.
Due to heavy rain, the boat transfer service across the river wasn't operating.

סוויטת המשפחה ענקית ומעוצבת בטוב טעם, מקלחת ואמבטיה מפנקים ונקיים ללא רבב. מיטות נוחות וגדולות וארוחות הערב והבוקר ברמת מסעדת שף. מנות יחודיות וטעימות מאוד. הצוות אף דאג לקטנה בת ה5 והכינו לה במיוחד מנת פסטה למרות שהמנה לא היתה בתפריט.
דבר יחודי נוסף הוא שעל מנת להגיע למלון יש צורך בסירה לחציית הנהר! גם לכך דואג הצוות במקצועיות רבה. פשוט קסם של מקום

C'était notre premier logement dans un roadtrip de 3 semaines au Sri Lanka, et c'est l'un de nos meilleurs souvenirs.
Le cadre est magnifique, l'arrivée en bateau est atypique et très agréable.
Je recommande à 100% cet établissement, et nous y reviendrons, c'est sûr.
La restauration mérite d'être améliorée.
Sehr schönes Hotel, Überfahrt ein Erlebnis, sehr freundliches Personal.
Zimmer geräumig und sauber. Perfekt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zum Raften.
Wir waren allerdings fast alleine dort. Yoga haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Panorama unbeschreiblich schön.
Preis-Leistung, Essen abends sehr teuer . Keine Abwechslung im Menü und nur kleine Karte. Aufgrund der Lage muss man eigentlich dort essen.
Kein Alkohol, muss man selber mitbringen.
Pool schoen, aber das Wasser war sehr trüb.
I enjoyed my conversations most with the manager, a smart and wise man who shared his philosophical views on the region and showed a great interest in his guests.
The menu in the evenings is a bit uninspired.
Very beautiful environment, in the middle of nature, at the front of the river.
Very helpful and attentive staff. We arrived in the early morning and the prepared our room already. We really appreciate that as we were very tired because of the jetlag.
Nice swimmingpool and garden. A good place for birdwatchers too!
We wanted to kayak with our family. But the hotel has only one monokayak. That means that we were not able to do this as a family activity. We were a little dissapointed about that.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025Een prachtig gelegen hotel aan een rivier met groot zwembad en veel plekken in te relaxen. Goede suggesties vd eigenaar om te wandelen en raften wat geweldig was!
Het was laagseizoen en het bedienend personeel liet soms nog weleens tafeltjes onafgeruimd. Dat viel me als enige op.

האוכל במקום מתאים לחך הסרילנקי ( אם להזמין אז מנות צמחוניות )

Enjoyed 3 nights here in this wonderfully calm spot. Being shuttled over by boat was great fun and felt special. Spacious rooms (deluxe double), lovely pool and views. Staff friendly and attentive. 20 mins or so from adventure sports (rafting, canyoning etc) - we really enjoyed our stay.
More like an improvement opportunity - a bit more variety on the menu would be great.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2025My sister and I loved our stay at Aramya Hotel—everything was simply perfect! The staff was beyond kind, always ready to assist and help. We arranged activities like jungle walks, abseiling and rafting through the hotel, and each experience was incredible. Our room was sparkling clean and spacious, with a stunning river view and a lovely balcony. The hotel itself is amazing, featuring a large pool, a beautiful garden, and stunning interior design. We enjoyed all our meals at the property, which offered delicious vegan options—something we truly appreciated. We really appreciated that the hotel provides refillable glass jars in the rooms instead of promoting single-use plastic bottles. It’s a shame we only stayed for two nights; we would definitely love to come back!

Pool was fantastic to swim in as well as option to swim in river. Very peaceful location, perfect for relaxing. Accessed by little boat ride across the river. Highly recommend. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
