The location was perfect, beautiful little paradise. The river was my best part of the weekend. In the forest and tranqual and just lovely. The room was clean and cozy. I loved the whole stay. Lovely hosts too and some cute fur babies that kept us company.

Its beautiful and great value for money

This was the perfect place for a getaway. Peaceful surroundings and an amazing starlit night sky. We really enjoyed the sitting by the fireplace intro the evenings and the calming sound of the river with a nice short walk.

Beautiful place, relaxed, clean and safe

Breath taking view and the house perfect for a family has everything you need and more. If you looking to escape the city life and be one with the forest this is the place to be.

Drainage not good in the main bedroom room, shower flooded the bathroom.

The house feels like home! The beds in bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms roomy and well equipped. The house is very spacious. The view from the sunroom is beautiful. And we really enjoyed walking along the river. We could also make a fire every evening in the fireplace! And the host was always available regarding extra information regarding Nottingham Road.

Nicole demonstrated motherly qualities by showing great concern and advise from the first 5min of being on the property, the continued check ups was much appreciated . I highly recommended Woodcroft to anyone who is seeking a tranquil and safe place to visit with a mesmerizing view . The hosts are welcoming and allow for a private stay not evading your privacy in any way.

Immersed in nature, it’s a little gem and you can feel the love and care of the people who have built and renovated this place. Not super easy to access (need a high-clearance vehicle) but it wasn’t an issue for me and somehow it added to the atmosphere

The location is absolutely exquisite and peaceful. The cottage was unlocked on arrival and the entire property is beautiful with lovely walks through a forest and along a river. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond.

The cottage is small with an outdoor area, but in poor weather would be better for one person as it's quite compact. The cottage is also very close the the larger house (which is also accommodation) and other homes on the property.

Home away from Home, very comfortable, plenty of space, river is gorgeous, and had it not been pouring with rain we would have explored the property more.

Fantastic location.

Some protection from the bugs, bug spray, citronella etc would have been nice. Fans in the room for would be good. Can’t open windows due to insects and mosquitoes.

It was just what I needed after surgery. Beautiful nature and so peaceful. The cottage was comfortable.

Way above average and very comfortable rondawel with all you need for a good stay. Very quiet and set in beautiful nature surroundings. We would like to stay there again and explore the area, maybe some pathways. We enjoyed our short overnight stay, next time for sure at least two nights at Woodcroft.

Drive through Lidgetton village was not a good experience, we will never do it when it is dark. Just a few things for the owners to attend to: check the total cleanliness, for example behind and underneath furniture and the carpets next to the bed; improve the outside sitting area - the furniture and the neatness of the brickfloor.

Access over difficult roads

The location is very beautiful but the terrain can be difficult to navigate especially when it is raining. But the scenery around the place is exceptional.

The sign placed at the turn from the main gravel road needs to be visible from both sides of the road. It is not that visible when one comes from Lythwood Lodge direction, especially when visibility is poor (like at night).

Break fast was not included in our fee but we asked for bread they freely give us with cheese and honey for free

Electricity was interrupted because of snow

An exceptional accommodation set in a beautiful area with cool forest walks and the pristine Lions River for walks and swimming. The cottage is so spacious with all amenities and so comfortable. With grounds and pathways so well maintained, and a host so accommodating, a perfect place to unwind and relax. Highly recommended.

Road through Liddgeton Village needs to be navigated with due care and consideration. Make sure you have sufficient data as there is no Wi Fi

Peaceful location with great hosts. Well appointed for a self catering with everything you could possibly need. Ample firewood to keep a warm fire going in the house. Awesome indoor braai making braai time super easy and comfortable.

It is a bit cold in the winter months and due to the house being rather large, the bedrooms lack proximity to the main lounge where the fireplace is. As such, the beds could do with heated blankets to keep the beds warm at night.

The Rondavel is small and functional, but when booking, it is not clear that the Rondavel is what is being offered.

This place was incredible and so much more than expected. The surroundings are so beautiful and the cottage itself was spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything and more than what you need.

The only unfortunate for me was having to travel through the little town to get there, with the road and livestock, children etc on the road, I found that a bit scary especially if one had to do it at night.

Had an awesome weekend. Beautiful guest house. Only problem was the stay was too short.

It was self catering ,we loved the ambience ,the nature surrounding us,the owners friendly dogs,they became my friends 🫂 🤗 miss them.The kids were so friendly and nice .The owner was do helpful,friendly and accommodating.

I can only say a television would be nice,I'm a TV holic 😃

Bed mattress was bit hard and difficult to get used too, but was ok on second night..

This cottage is a gem. Stunning view. The river walk a bonus. Well equipped for a cosy winter stay withe the closed stoep.

We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back.

The listing was a bit confusing. There are two separate cottages you can book. The rondavel which is just for two people and the family cottage. We were also disappointed that we were not able to take our dogs with because it said pet friendly on request and we were only informed the day before that we can't take our dogs with. However, we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Did not even book at this place. Dont know how Booking.com messed this one up?

Lovely, simple little cottage. Perfect for our overnight stay. Facilities were clean, linen was nice and kitchen is small but all you need. Hosts were lovely.

No wifi and limited cell phone reception - which can be a pro if you want a total digital detox weekend!

The welcome was great and assistance was appreciated.

The network challenges were not so welcome. Wish reception was better.
