The best Guest house I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous rooms breathtaking views. Masana is such a good host with great staff. Had a memorable experience on the Mbali swing. Overall, I had a great experience at Pleasant Places will certainly come back for a longer stay.

Warm hospitality of the owner & the entire staff including the Chef. Food was amazing & Mbali Swing it’s a life time experience .

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The host was incredibly attentive, going above and beyond to ensure every need was met. A special mention goes to Chef SK, whose exceptional culinary creations delighted us at every meal – each dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and made with such heart. Naledi was an absolute gem – her pampering and attentive service made us feel truly spoiled. Even our Hostess interacted with us to check if all was going smoothly One of the highlights of our trip was the outdoor massage, a truly memorable experience surrounded by nature – so peaceful and rejuvenating. Another unforgettable moment was the relaxing and incredible experience of fishing in the river and dam. They had a party and loud Music till late arround 9 but it was too close to our room🥹

The room was not really clean

Property canceled the reservation (three rooms) one day before arrival because other guests wanted to extend their stay (what was a day after my booking). Hotel didn't inform me by messaging system via booking.com and didn't answer there until next day. After the first information about the cancelation from booking.com even their customer service ignores my messages now since four days 😞

A fantastic location to unwind. Very peaceful and in a beautiful setting. Breakfast on the deck a must.

I think a heater or air conditioner would be perfect, as a place that surrounded by trees however they have extra blankets in each bedroom 😊

The property is lovely with beautiful views once you have arrived. The food (once ready) was delicious. Peaceful and untouched nature. The staff really tried.

Getting to the property - you travel through squatters. Waiting too long for simple meals like breakfast and pizza. Guest relations - The unending WhatsApp messages from the host from the moment you make the booking.

It’s situated in a beautiful serene valley, the interior is luxurious,the food was delicious. The staff was friendly and ready to assist. There’s a hiking trail to the nearby river.The host upgraded my room since it was my birthday weekend,they also got me a gift❤️😁They have a generator backup during load shedding.

The place was a very pleasant place to stay, brought us close to nature, sound of thw river, dam and trees around the property which just allow one to detox from the city life.

The service from the staff was above my expectations. Constantly in contact prior and during our stay via whatsapp. Always on call. Perfect location for an overnight stay for a couple. I'd stay longer if our family/friends joined as the common area facilities cater for gathering. The bonus was a car wash and a little goodie bag during breakfast before checkout.

The staff was very friendly and quick to assist with every request. I arrived on a very cold day and was soo impressed to know that they have underfloor heating in the room which contributed to my cozy stay.

We had a awesome stay. Our chef Zoe was the best . Excellent cook. The hospitality and warmth received from our hostess and staff was overwhelming. Really enjoyed our stay.. definitely go back

Everything! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are cozy, the views are amazing and the food is amazing! After hearing it was my husband's birthday, the staff went out their way to make it special - we even got a platter and room upgrade. Couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Will be back very soon. PS, the car wash on leaving day was just the icing on the cake. Thank you so much, Pleasant Places team 🤍

Very pleasant. Hostess and staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended. We had a lovely breakfast outside and enjoyed the beautiful garden.

The rooms were charming and well appointed. The doors looked out a lovely view. The common area was well presented. The breakfast was excellent. we missed the complimentary car cleaning because we left too early but appreciated the thought.

Some of our party were a little nervous having to drive through a very small, rural township area.

Location was central, views were spectacular. Staff very friendly and the food was delicious.

Host was a cut above the rest with a clear vision and excellent communications . We were never in doubt about anything - from meal times and meal choices , to directions and creature comforts ! The setting was awesome and the tranquility experienced was excellent . Breakfast on the deck was the cherry on the top . Masana needs the support of all of us to make a success of this guest house . We recommend this venue without any hesitation and wish her all the success in the future .

Missing out on other activities because it rained all weekend. I will go back again when the rains are gone.
